Today I’m talking with American seafood blogger Christina Jolam from WeekdayPescatarian.com. Christina lives in Portugal and has recently embarked on an intensive Portuguese language course. We chat about her experiences navigating local markets, discovering regional seafood traditions, and the joys (and challenges!) of learning a new language through food. The recipe she shares is a classic Portuguese monkfish stew, and it really shows off why monkfish is considered poor-man's lobster.
