Andy's sobriety date is October 21, 2005 and his Home group is currently the same group that he joined when he first came in- the Morning After Group of Westwood, New Jersey, now both on Zoom and in person. AA saved Andy's life- He says that he can never give back to A.A. what’s been given to him but he can try one day at a time. As the result of the 12 Steps-being protected by god, at home with self, and connected to a community, Andy has moved from a taker to a giver- from a greedy soul towards having a servants heart. The journey has been generous- the job god has Andy doing is to engage another alcoholic in spiritual activity so he can live a useful life today. Andy speaks to us on the topic of "A Room Without a Roof"
Reco12 is an open-to-all addictions and afflictions organization, dedicated to exploring the common threads of the differing manifestations of alcoholism; sharing tools, and offering hope from those walking a similar path. We gather from diverse backgrounds, faiths, and locations to learn and support one another. Our speakers come from various fellowships and experiences, demonstrating the universal principles of recovery. Reco12 is not allied or affiliated with any specific 12 Step fellowship.
