Rev. Cham Kaur-Mann has over 25 years of leadership experience in the church, charity and voluntary sectors. She mentors and supports leaders from a variety of sectors, backgrounds and communities and is the first (and currently only) Asian woman minister within the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Cham is co-director of Next Leadership and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). She has a unique and compelling ability to ‘story a story’, writes blogs and is the author of ‘Images of Jesus’ and ‘Are there traditional “women’s ministries”?’

Cham’s passion is to encourage, empower and develop leaders to reach their full potential, wherever they may serve. She is writing a companion book to 7 Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership written by Kate Coleman, who we interviewed in an earlier episode.

RGP History

Alison & Grace were having a conversation in the summer of 2019 about podcasts and they weren't aware of any at the time that spoke to their context, so they decided to set one up. You can hear more about their thinking about the podcast in the Introductions episode.

Grace & Alison worked on the podcast together for the first year but Grace had other commitments that meant she had to give the podcast up, so from February  - August 2021 Alison carried on without her.

In August 2021, Alex & Amy joined Alison and they became the three AAAs.

Sadly, Alex has had to move on to a new, exciting job are now building a new team. So watch this space!

The Recovering God Podcast has been in existence since the summer of 2019. The team has changed over those years but we're delighted to still be offering relevant discussions covering the broad topics of feminism and the Christian faith!
