The discussion about growing up gay, wrestling with what identity society wants us to have, and how to break through and be comfortable and love who you are if you are part of the LGBTQ community is not only powerful, but it lays the groundwork for those of us that may not fully understand the LGBTQ community or recovery. Not only did we share a commonality of not fitting in, we also discovered that we all have fear and concerns in this crazy thing called life.
