Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!
The local arcade used to be the best place to go to hang out, play the latest and greatest in video games and meet new friends that shared the same interests as you. Arcades helped you forge a healthy sense of competition and good sportsman like attitude (well, maybe not always that last part). These places of immense entertainment sadly died out a couple of decades ago after reinventing themselves several times in an attempt to keep up. Today, they exist as the modern "Barcade" and while still very fun, are echoes of what they used to be. This week I reminisce on my Arcade days and the experience that I had that help to shape my gaming tastes. Tune in to hear what arcade game unexpectedly introduced me to a film franchise that I still love to this day.
