Scene 1:  The Transition out of Film [03:30]

After a 35-year career in film as a director, why did Jeff decide to leave the industry?  In particular, we touch on:

  • the drawbacks of working in the film industry,
  • marketing ourselves as creatives, and
  • transitioning from film into something completely different like scuba diving.
  • Scene 2: Travel - Self-discovery and creativity [16:55]

Travel helps us realise things about ourselves we wouldn't have known before. Jeff explains:

  • Why there is a close link between travel and self-discovery.
  • Why do visual artists (photographers and filmmakers) find inspiration in new places.
  • Why something like scuba diving (or another sport) can help us integrate into any community in the world.
  • Scene 3: Navigate Neurological Challenges  [32:15]

Besides UTD Scuba Diving, Jeff's most recent entrepreneurial venture, Coach Me Strong, provides structured coaching programmes for neurologically challenged individuals and older people without having to rely on gyms or similar institutions.

These programmes are so successful that they are now open to anyone. He explains:

  • What are the advantages of having a coaching programme like this to stay fit and healthy?
