Our ancestors gifted us life, wisdom, resilience—and sometimes, patterns of pain that no longer serve us.

In this week’s Reiki from the Farm™ episode, we’ll explore how Reiki can help us heal our ancestral lineage, drawing from Healthcare Reiki practices and the beautiful teachings of Rebecca Campbell.

Together, we’ll discover how to honor our roots, accept the blessings passed down through generations, and release burdens that don’t belong to us.

You’ll also be guided through a Reiki meditation to connect with your ancestry, receive its gifts, and lovingly set down the weight you no longer need to carry.

Pamela (00:07):
Hi, and welcome to the Reiki from the Farm Podcast,
brought to you by me, Pam AllenLeBla from Hidden Brook Farm.
I am a scientist, abusinesswoman, and a licensed
Reiki master teacher with theInternational Center for Reiki
training.
Each week in this podcast, you'll be entertained as you
learn about a wide variety ofrelevant Reiki topics helping

(00:30):
you become a more knowledgeableand effective Reiki
practitioner.
We caution you though thispodcast may also dramatically
improve your life.
And we are so happy that you'rehere.

(00:57):
And so welcome everyone to thismonth's Reiki share and this
week's podcast, this week ormonth, we are talking about
healing the ancestry.
This is something that's beencoming up as a recurring theme,
and so I just thought it wouldbe really fun if we addressed

(01:17):
that today.
So before we begin though, Iwould like to let you know about
what we have coming up.
Unfortunately, our healthcareReiki class this month in, in
September, the evening class isfull.
There is a wait list.
There are a few people on thewait list.
If it's something you reallywanted to attend, feel free to
put your name on the wait list.
You never know.

(01:38):
Also the number of people on thewait list will.
Inform us that, we, right nowwe're looking at the next class
being in March, but I have heardfrom some people, oh no, that's
too long.
Could you do one sooner?
So Tracy and I are going tocompare our calendars tomorrow
and see what we can do.

(01:59):
So if there's quite a few peopleon the wait list, then it would
tell us, yeah, try to haveanother one as soon as before,
in this year or early in thenext year if you can.
In October, I have a level oneand two in Masters in person at
the farm, and.
The level one and two is inperson at the farm and also

(02:20):
online.
And the Reiki Masterclass isonline over the evenings in
North America, which meanspeople from Australia and Asia
can more easily attend.
I'm sorry for my, our Europeanfriends.
It's a terrible time for you,but it also works really well
for a lot of people from Northand South America.

(02:41):
Hopefully that will be helpfulalso, following that, the
following weekend, October 25thand 26th, online and in person
at the farm is an animal Reikilevel one and two training
followed by animal Reiki masterteacher online in the evenings.
That following week and Ifinally have a Una Reiki class

(03:02):
booked, if any of you have beenwaiting, that is November 17th
to 20th in the evenings.
And so it is an online class andwould love to have you join us
if Karuna is speaking to you.
Sometimes people wonder aboutUna.
It is an advanced Reikimasterclass, so if you've been a

(03:24):
Reiki master for at least sixmonths and are guided to, come
to Una, consider joining us.
It's, it it just amplifies theenergy and it seems to change a
lot of things.
I know it really changed a lotfor me.
So would love to see you there.
I am just dipping my toe intoworking on the animal

(03:46):
communication book, but I'mgonna put this out there to you
because once I make you apromise, I seem to keep it.
My intention is, and I've keptthis private because there's
been a few times I've had toI've had intended to finish the
book and had to set it aside.
My intention is to finish thebook by.

(04:06):
Our next animal communicationclass, which is November 22nd
and 23rd.
It is a weekend class online andthe animal communication level
three class is just before theAmerican Thanksgiving, November
24th and 25th, online in theevenings.
And I did move the masterclasssimply because I did have it

(04:31):
over Thanksgiving.
And so it is just the followingweek, December 1st to third
online in the evenings.
And so that's just after theAmerican Thanksgiving.
So I don't teach, I only teachanimal communication a few times
a year, especially at the masterlevel.

(04:52):
So if that's something you'vebeen thinking about, plan to
join us.
I also want to announce that Ispoke with our the lady who is
hosting me and asked me to teachin Kenya.
And we put together a few moredetails today.
The date is not finalized.

(05:12):
But I will let you know just assoon as it is, it'll be in my
newsletter and I might even, because it's gonna be between
newsletters when we finalize it,I'll probably send out a special
announcement.
For any of you who would like tocome to Africa, what I was
thinking is that this is aAfrica can be a daunting place

(05:32):
to visit.
And we are going into the heartin Kenya and in fact we are
looking at doing a safari on themassee mare and, so it's it can
be a big deal to travel thatway.
So this might be a way to, totravel there that is a lot

(05:52):
easier for folks from NorthAmerica or Europe or other
places.
And because it is gonna beorganized and we will have some
things set up for you and we arebeing hosted.
By someone who lives there andknows the lay of the land.
So that can be really neat.
And so one of the things wetalked about is we might have a

(06:16):
special re Reiki share.
We'll have it during the daybecause she's six hours ahead of
us, so it's in the middle of thenight for her and she just can't
do that, where we could reallyoutline the program and talk
through things.
But right now I'm gonna beteaching a Reiki level one and
two class, probably healthcareReiki and probably animal Reiki.

(06:38):
There one and two.
So three level one and twoclasses.
And in between each class we'regoing to do things like visit
the giraffe sanctuary and seethe elephants.
And so there's a few thingswe're looking at.
And then after the final class,we will, head over for a short
safari, which I think will bereally interesting.

(07:00):
And, potentially life changingis what I've heard.
So that's coming together alsostill looking at Hong Kong in
September or October next year.
Again, just finalizing the datesand my calendar for 2026 has
been finalized.
So in the next newsletter youwill see the 2026 calendar,

(07:23):
aside from these travel dates.
And also I am looking in the newyear to be putting together a
special Reiki mentoring coursefor Reiki masters who want to
mentor their students using theReiki business book and a
special marketing course.
So that's going to be coming Isay it's gonna be in the new
year, and now that I look at it,my January calendar is slammed

(07:46):
so we'll.
It will be in the new year.
It may not be able to be inJanuary, but I will definitely
take a look at that.
And I also have set up mymeetings with the artist and
Intuitive who is going to behelping me with the horse card
deck on leadership.

(08:07):
So I'm super excited about thattoo.
So many amazing things going on.
So before we go too far, I'djust like to invite everybody to
bring your hands together inGassho and just activate your
own Reiki energy today.
And I invite you to ask yourfavorite symbol.

(08:29):
Think about what symbol is yourfavorite or your favorite right
now in this moment to just comebetween your palms moving into
your heart.
And as it moves into your heart,it moves up through the top of

(08:50):
your head, your crown chakra, and up through a chakra above
your head, known as the SoulStar and through the Gaia
Gateway.
And it also moves down throughyour lower chakras, and it both
enlivens Ivans powers and alignsall of these chakras.
And as it moves through yourfeed and moving into the earth,

(09:12):
it moves through what we callthe Gaia Gateway, the your Earth
Star and the Gaia Gateway.
And just allow that energy totravel all the way down,
connecting you to the earth, allthe way into the groundwater
beneath your feet, and thebedrock beneath the groundwater.

(09:33):
If it makes sense to you, youcan go beyond the bedrock.
Until you get to the center ofthe earth.
And just today in a session, itwas revealed that hot lava, that
hot magma in the center of theearth, that stuff that the earth
is made of is earthly holy fire.

(09:55):
And so we're, we've all beenaware of the divine holy fire
energy, but there is an earthlyenergy in the center of the
earth that is also connected to,or related to holy fire.
And that is really interesting.
And then just let the energythat has gone to the center of

(10:19):
the earth start to come back upthrough your central channel,
your left and right channels, and all the way up to.
Into the galaxy, into theheavens, and at the same time,
the energy of the heavens comesall the way down and goes into
the earth.

(10:39):
And these energies just startmoving back and forth, passing
each other until they createthis beautiful tunnel of light
and this tunnel of light.
At first it's within you, but asthey move back and forth,
there's this synergy created andthey begin to surround you and

(11:08):
just feel yourself veryprotected and safe within this.
And I also invite you to bringyour own personal energy in now.
So that it just skin skims yourskin.
Just invite your own personalenergy.
Many of us, I go around with mypersonal energy, five or 600

(11:29):
feet around me, and so I'm goingto do the same thing.
We're just going to pull thatin, just asking the energy.
Just come in close to me now,and as it does, you'll notice
that anything that's not yoursas it passes through this

(11:49):
beautiful tube of light, it justdrops out of your energy.
Any cords or connectors thathave hooked into you, any hooks,
they're released now.
Any energies that are not yours, any attachments, they're just
let go of, and as you bring yourenergy in close and you're

(12:15):
within this beautiful tube ofReiki energy.
Surrounding you.
Sometimes we have frayed edgesof our energies, just little
places where they've become alittle damaged, a little
frazzled.
You just notice the Reiki energystarts combing those out,
combing out the tanglesbasically, and just weaving it

(12:39):
back together in a way that iscompletely organic and natural.
And if there are any pieces ofyourself that you've left

(13:00):
anywhere in trauma andgatherings with people that you
love, they're just return to younow.
They concentrate around you.
They move through that tube ofHoly fire, Reiki energy, and
it's okay if you don't have aholy fire.
We're tapping you into it justthe same.

(13:24):
And just those pieces arerestored, lovingly restored,
lovingly placed where theybelonged.
And just take a deep breath now,and just feeling into that

(13:47):
wholeness, that completeness.
And I'm just hearing that thisis a really important place to
start from when we begin to healour ancestral lineage from this
nice close space of wholenessand completeness.

(14:17):
You are here.
And so it is.
And so just placing your handsover your heart now and just
coming back in your own time,I'd like to talk to you about
our topic tonight, healing ourancestors, releasing their

(14:38):
burdens, and embracing thegifts.
So I'm so excited to talk withyou about this because it's
something I've given a lot ofthought to and it's something
that I certainly have someburdens from my ancestral
lineage.
We all do.
Everyone does, and it's justbeen so lovely to address them

(15:02):
and I think I'm going to addressthem on an even deeper level
with you all this evening.
So this is something that we'regoing to be doing together.
The first thing I want to sayabout our ancestors is sometimes
when we're carrying a burdenthat comes from our ancestors
it's hard to look beyond it tothe gifts and all of the things

(15:22):
that our ancestors intended topass on because the burden was
also passed on.
Sometimes the burden is so heavythat it can be difficult to
know.
Notice the gifts.
And one of the things that Iheard very early on in my
licensed Reiki master teachertraining with Colleen was she

(15:44):
was just talking about theresilience of our ancestors.
And it really made me thinkabout it, just how strong they
were.
I think it's a hardship if mydishwasher's not working and
they literally had to.
For the most part, farm all oftheir food.

(16:05):
And I have a garden.
I've worked on farms.
I am an agricultural scientist.
I know it.
And I've worked the land since Iwas young.
That's not easy.
It's very time consuming.
It's all consuming.
They had very little religiousfreedom.
In fact, there was a lot ofpersecution for anyone who went
outside of very set lines.

(16:27):
There they didn't have all ofthe advantages of technology
that we have.
They didn't have all of thewonderful advancements.
And I, I do wanna say that thesewonderful advancements that we
enjoy, I can't tell you how muchhaving a Roomba that cleaned up
the dog hair for me each day sothat I don't have to that's, I

(16:48):
sometimes call that thing mybest friend.
And, these were things theywished for us.
They wished that our lives wouldbe easier than theirs.
And in fact, it is the fact thatwe, in a lot of ways, we don't
have to spend every wakingmoment preparing for winter and,
growing and gathering andstoring our food.

(17:09):
And some of us choose to dothis, but most of us don't have
to do this.
They wanted that for us.
They wanted for us.
All of these wonderfuladvantages and the freedoms that
we have, the freedom to practiceReiki, things like that.
These are things that theywanted for us, religious and
spiritual freedom.
And so we're actually living thelife that they wished for us

(17:35):
and.
In that they gave us tremendousamount of gifts.
And I always like to balancethings in this podcast, the yin
and the yang, the left and theright.
And so we're not only gonna betalking about the burdens and
releasing it, we're also goingto be acknowledging and
recognizing some of the giftsthat we got from our ancestors.
And, since I started diving intothis con this topic, I've been a

(17:59):
little bit conflicted becausethere are some people in my
lineage who I deeply loved andadmired.
And yet there were things aboutthem that I didn't admire, and
that actually even made me feeluncomfortable.
And I know some of it was aproduct of the, of our times,
the fact that in their timethings were acceptable, that

(18:20):
were not acceptable in my timeand things like that that, I
know some of it was that, butI've really had to be thinking
about this and it can be reallyhard to think about some of
those people that you love andthink about some of the aspects
of them that you didn't actuallylove.
But this is something that we'regoing to unpack.

(18:42):
And of course, as always, Reikihelps us unpack it in a really
beautiful way.
I wanna point out thatintergenerational trauma is
something that is talked at indoctors' offices now, and by
psychologists and by peopleeverywhere.
And as I mentioned when we weretalking before the, we started

(19:05):
recording, this is somethingthat we've known about this
ancestors needing to be healed.
It's something our NativeAmerican friends have known
about for forever.
They're they're very aware ofthe seven generations before and
after and all of the ancestors,in fact, most of what I used to
say, a HOAs.
And, I spoke with some of my MiMa and malice friends and asked,

(19:28):
what would I say in NewBrunswick?
And they said, all my relations.
And I said I didn't getpermission to say that, but I
did get permission to say ahoan.
So I did say that.
And what that means, A HOA meansall my relations.
It's just an acknowledgement ofyour ancestors at the end of
every prayer and so many, manycultures are very aware of how

(19:53):
connected we are with ourancestors.
I work with students from Chinain the mentoring program with
the ICRT.
And there's just, there's just areal awareness of our ancestral
lineage and how it connects us.
And yet, science just took alittle bit longer to catch up.
But now intergenerational traumais very recognized and I am

(20:14):
gonna tuck into the science in alittle bit as well as we go
through this.
But I also wanna mentionsomething that Rebecca Campbell
brought up in her book.
I think it was Rise, sisterRise.
And it's something fascinatingthat it never occurred to me.
Every one of us, every one ofyou listening today or joining

(20:35):
me in person, every one of usexisted.
Our grandmother's womb, and Idon't know why that never
occurred to me, but as sheexplained it, our mothers were
being formed in our grandmothersand her eggs were being formed.

(20:56):
They were fully formed by thetime she was born.
And so the egg that then unitedwith a sperm and created each
one of us, existed that egg wascreated by our grandmothers.
And so it was very fascinating.
One day in a healthcare Reikisession with a client the energy

(21:18):
just went back through all thegrandmothers.
It didn't even have to stop atthe mothers, it just went
through.
Grandmother and I watched eachperson shrink to the size of a
baby and then shrink to, thefetus that was being created and
then shrink to a spark of lightand then go out and go to the
next and go to the nextgrandmother, and the next
grandmother, and it went all theway back to the original mother

(21:39):
and did this incredible healingfor him all the way back.
And then it came all the wayforward again through the
grandmothers, which wasfascinating that we can do
something like that.
So when Rebecca Campbell.
Mentioned that then healthcareReiki took and expanded it and
did this incredible healing.

(22:01):
So if that resonates with you, that's something with that Reiki
allows us to do is to go backthrough that mother lineage.
And we're going to, we are alsogonna go through the father
lineage as well, because I wastold no, don't keep it one
sided.
Let's go through both.
So that was really neat.

(22:21):
So for this session, what we'dlike to do is honor the gifts
and free ourselves from theburdens that impact us and
sometimes keep us small.
Our goal, as I mentioned, is toheal both the mother and father
line.
And although our children, thoseof you who have children they
may have to walk their own path.
This healing that we are doingtoday can also heal things

(22:46):
forward for them as well.
So why does this matter?
Why does ancestral healingmatter?
You're here, so I know that youknow it matters, but here's a
few things you might not havethought of.
First of all, Reiki isn'tlimited by time or space.
So the healing we do today canripple back to our ancestors and

(23:06):
it's going to, and then forwardinto future generations.
In healthcare Reiki, we noticethat physical, emotional, and
even spiritual struggles aresometimes and often connected to
long held family patterns.
So it's these patterns thatwe're.

(23:27):
Going to be releasing today.
And Rebecca Campbell in thesession, the seminar that I did
with her recently and just goingthrough her books and her
wonderful work, she teaches thatwe are the keepers of the flame.
We are the generation chosen toheal cycles of suffering,
reclaim the wisdom, and carryforward only what's in alignment

(23:50):
with love.
I keep hearing we are thegeneration that our ancestors
have been waiting for, andthat's been coming through in my
sessions for years now.
That's exactly it.
And this is a time to talk aboutit.
Now, for those of you listeningafter the fact.
This might be a really greattime to tell you that if you

(24:11):
could queue up for music, forour meditation, the songs,
because I don't have copyrightfor them, so I can't put them on
the podcast.
But if you could queue up thesongs that Rebecca Campbell has
created herself from herplaylist, your Soul Had a Dream,
your Life is it.

(24:33):
And it's the three songs, armsof the Mother Unbound, forever
Unbound, and the Great MotherChant.
And so if you could cue up thosethree songs now that would be a
great time to do it.
And you don't have to, you canjust listen to the quiet music
in the podcast.
But if you can listen to thosesongs, I think it's going to

(24:53):
amplify what we do today.
I mentioned that I was going todip into the science.
You know that I always like todo that.
And speaking of science there isa science the Center for Reiki
Research does have a Reikiscience conference coming up in
a few weeks.

(25:13):
And so check them out.
If science is something thatyou're really interested in,
like I am, I'm going to bethere.
It's just an online event.
They've got some fantasticspeakers lined up and I think it
will be really great.
So when we go into the science Idid a podcast a few years ago
with a medical doctor.

(25:36):
Oh my gosh, this is crazy.
I all of a sudden I had her nameright on the tip of my brain and
all of a sudden, Dr.
Martha Lacey, and it left me fora moment with Dr.
Martha Lacey about epigenetics, and basically epigenetics is
that we all have genes foralmost every disease and, all

(25:57):
these conditions, but it'swhether we turn on those genes
or not, that is epigenetics.
And it's a science that isrecognized and epigenetics.
Has done studies that show thattrauma and stress and even
famine can alter our geneexpression, and that then these

(26:21):
changes can be passed down.
For example children andgrandchildren of the Holocaust
survivors often show increasedstress reactivity.
Research in Sweden found thatgrandchildren of people who
endured famine were more proneto diabetes and heart disease.
So there's now scientificevidence that what our ancestors

(26:45):
experienced can pass on to us,onto us.
We also have intergenerationaltrauma things, emotional wounds,
things like abuse, addiction,and war.
There's a recognition inpsychology that these echo
across generations, if they areunhealed.

(27:08):
But in the same way resilienceis inherited, neuroscience has
been able to show us that joy, creativity, adaptability,
resourcefulness, also rippleforward.
So it's really a great idea totake a very balanced approach
with this.
Now, this is, this just simplyvalidates what we've long known,

(27:31):
which is that energy patterns, both heavy and light, are
transmitted through time.
So I'd like you to grab yourjournals today.
I know I, me, I invited you tobring a journal and a candle and
if you have those, you couldpull them out.
If you don't have a journal, youcould just grab a sheet of paper
or just make note of these inyour mind.

(27:54):
I'd like you to think about yourown lineage, and we're going to
take it one at a time because itcan be a little confusing to
look at both sides.
So we're going to start with ourmother line and I'd like you to
think about your mother and thenjust go back through her family
and their family as far as youare aware of.

(28:16):
If you are aware of yourancestors.
Many people are aware of theirmother, not everybody, and I
recognize that.
And but if you do know yourmother and some of her
relatives, I'd like you to thinkabout what gifts you might have
inherited from them.
And if you don't know them, justuse automatic writing and just

(28:39):
think about what of your giftsmight have come from your
ancestors.
And I'm going to give you someexamples.
So you might already be writingsome gifts and that's great.
I am gonna give you someexamples that might unlock you a
little bit.
Things like survival skills inthe face of hardship.
Did you gain that from yourancestors?
Did you gain your creativity andartistry, a connection to the

(29:03):
land or animals or nature?
Did you gain any of that fromyour mother's line?
A strong worth, work ethic, andperseverance.
Did your mother's line bringtraditions, rituals, spiritual
practices that you still makeuse of today or you remember

(29:24):
fondly today?
Music, storytelling, culture.
What about a capacity for joy?
Humor and celebration.
Did that come through to you?
What about generosity and a deeplove of family?
How about intuition?
Spiritual gifts.

(29:45):
These are often passed onquietly, I will say, because for
a long time they were notaccepted.
What about wisdom?
Wisdom about plants, herbs, farming, healing, anything.
Books, science.

(30:06):
What about resilience in timesof loss?
What about the courage to startover, migrate, build a new life?

(30:26):
What about faith?
Faith and trust and somethinglarger than themselves.
What gifts do you have from yourancestors?
And now that I've given you afew to consider, I'm going to
invite you to write them down.

(30:50):
And once that's complete foryour mother's line, we're going
to take a few moments togetherand just go back through your
father's line as well.
So just in your own time.
And you may come up with somethat are not on this list as

(31:12):
well.

(32:11):
Strength is something that'soften passed down to our
ancestors.
Were so strong.

(33:02):
And I suspect a lot of you havesome really beautiful gifts.
You've received.
In fact, I know you, you do.
'cause I know so many of you andyou're beautiful people and I
know that you've received lovelygifts from your family lineage.

(33:29):
I wanna just move on because atthe same time that our ancestors
sent forward these gifts andthey sent them forward willingly
and purposefully and, with somuch love, they unfortunately,
often had burdens that theydidn't mean to pass on.

(33:49):
And I think that's an importantdistinction.
They never meant to pass on theburdens, and yet they did.
If there was anything unhealedwithin them it often came
forward.
It came forward into us and intoour DNA.
They carried wounds andsometimes we still hold those
wounds.
So I'd like to go through a listof those and if any of these

(34:13):
exist within you that have comefrom either your mother's or
father's line, I realize it'snot quite as complicated to go
back through both at the sametime.
I'd just like you to write themdown.
So go ahead and write anyburdens that you're aware of.

(34:34):
And I'll list a few just to openup your thoughts on that.
You might have inherited thatfear of not enough, that
scarcity or poverty mindset.
That's really common because somany of our ancestors went
through World Wars.
So many of them went throughfamines and droughts and stock
market crashes and things thatwe fortunately haven't had to go

(34:57):
through in my lifetime.
So many of our ancestors hadgrief and unprocessed loss
because there wasn't a lot ofguidance about how to process
this loss.
You just simply, out ofnecessity, had to keep going.

(35:20):
That might've been passed on toyou.
Another really common one ispatterns of silence.
We don't talk about that, andI've heard that from my own, my
mother.
You're supposed to keep thosethings within your family.
You're not supposed to talkabout it, and so patterns of

(35:41):
silence have come forwardthrough the lineage.
We've often had oppression, persecution, and even
marginalization that has comeforward.

(36:03):
It's also been a lot of patternsof control, dominance, or
patriarchy, and this is just apart of the, an unhealthy
patriarchal society.
It has nothing to do with thedivine masculine, which is very

(36:23):
healthy.
It has to do with the toxic orunhealthy masculine that has
been informing our patriarchy.
So maybe those patterns ofcontrol and dominance and
patriarchy are within you.
Another really common onethough, guys, is addiction,

(36:44):
abuse, violence, and it'sunfortunate, but it's there.
It's one of those things weoften don't talk about, but it's
still there.
I know it's something that hascome through my family lineage,
that I have used Reiki to helpclear.

(37:04):
There can be a fear ofvisibility or speaking the
truth, especially among thewomen in your lineage.
Look back and see if thatexists.
There can be distrust, secrecy,or shame.

(37:26):
We can also have trauma fromwar, famine, or displacement.
Health conditions rooted instress or malnutrition or
anything really.
Slavery.
We can have limiting beliefslike life is hard, dreams aren't
for us.
Get your head outta the clouds.

(37:46):
Things that were true.
In our ancestors generation, butare less true for us today.
In fact they're often not truefor us today.
Depends on what we choose tolook at.

(38:09):
We can also have burdens ofresponsibility just carrying
that weight of generations.
We can have fragmented familybonds.
Estrangements.
One of the things that I reallyhad to go back and heal for
myself, my, my grandmother was asingle mother in the forties

(38:34):
when that wasn't cool.
She was an unwed mother and shenever revealed the name of my
mother's father.
It worked for my mother'sfather.
He became a very upstandingmember of the community and in
fact became a politician, believe it or not, which I only
recently found out.

(38:55):
And yet for my grandmother, itwas very difficult in the
forties.
She, basically had to leave townin order to find work and send
money back.
As my grandparents, mygreat-grandparents raised my
mother.
So I really had a lot ofresentment toward him.
And that was something that Irealized just recently, just

(39:16):
this weekend as I was working onthis that I had to let that go.
And in fact, I went in and had aconversation with him and he
said, that it was meant to bethat way.
That was how it was written, itwas meant to be.
And so these are some thingsthat.
That can still impact us.
And there's also can be a senseof danger, a felt sense of

(39:38):
danger, even in safety, justespecially depending on where
your family lineage came fromand if they were involved in
wars, which many of them were.
So before we move into ourmeditation today, I'd like to

(39:59):
just give you a few tools.
And if you're still writing someof these, some of your gifts,
some of your burdens, that'sokay.
And some of them may come to youlater just in a regular
meditation as you're walking, asyou're living your daily life
and as they do, that'sfantastic.
Just become aware of them andyou're going to know how to
process them.
You can listen to thismeditation again.

(40:20):
You can just give them Reiki.
But here's some things you cando just on a daily basis on
daily self practice that you cando to help heal.
Some of this you can simplyplace your hands on your heart
during and your solar plexusduring self sessions and invite
Reiki to flow back through yourlineage, releasing any burdens

(40:43):
that you may have carried.
You can use the distance symbolto send Reiki across time and
space that's going to healancestral events and patterns.
You can use the Yui mastersymbol to illuminate your own
soul and your lineage with thehighest vibration of Reiki,

(41:06):
their highest expression ofthemselves.
And with healthcare Reiki, we'verecognized that illness or
imbalance can often have rootsin family and ancestral history.
So healthcare, Reiki and regularReiki can help lift the weight
so that healing can occur.

(41:29):
I'd just like to bring you nowto just a couple of the things
that really stood out to me fromRebecca Campbell's teachings.
One is that we're simply notalone.
We stand in a long line ofancestors that are both behind
us and ahead of us.

(41:50):
And if we really think about it,because time and space are human
constructs, we all technicallyexist at the same time, I want
you to be aware of this is myown teaching.
It's just coming through rightnow, just that our ancestors did

(42:10):
the best that they could for usand they were not perfect.
And I keep going back to my ownparents and recognizing, places
where I felt that.
They maybe didn't handle thingsthe best and that they weren't
perfect.
And yet I also am very awarethat I was so lucky to have the

(42:31):
caring involved parents that Idid have.
And I look at my own childrenand how they've pointed out all
of the mistakes my husband and Ihave made, which there's a long
list of those as well.
And yet they have anappreciation for us.
In fact, as a family.
My son is home now, and the fiveof us are able to be all

(42:51):
together.
And it's one of our favoritethings.
We try to find as manyopportunities as possible to be
all together as families and wecommunicate regularly because
it's fantastic.
And yet even in that.
Even trying the best that wecould and even thinking that we
were doing a great job, theypointed out several places that

(43:12):
we could have done better.
I think that's reallyinteresting.
But one of the really neatthings that Rebecca Campbell
talks about is that our soulschose the lineage that they did
for a reason.
Sometimes that reason is to healor break cycles and carry
forward the gifts and the wisdomthat we received from our

(43:35):
ancestors.
And honoring our ancestors meanssaying thank you for what they
gave while refusing to carrywhat is not ours, they don't
want us to.
So that's easy.
Healing this way allows theancestral lineage to heal, and
it's just simply an enormous actof love for those that we can

(43:58):
give to our parents and theirparents.
Theirs, and it's also a gift forany who will come after us.
We are, according to RebeccaCampbell, considered the bridge
generation chosen to weave theold into the new, to release the
pain, and to magnify the gifts.

(44:20):
So as we're preparing to go intoour meditation today, there's a
couple of simple journalprompts, questions that I'd like
to give you.
And the first one, and it's okayif you just go back and circle a
few from before, or you may comeup with something completely
different.

(44:40):
The first question I want to askis, what gifts from my ancestors
feel alive in me today?

(45:41):
I don't know about you guys, butI got several things that
weren't even on the list.
Things like.
Charm and wit and work ethic andbeauty and love of family and
love of life.
So whatever comes through foryou, go ahead and write that
down now, and we're gonna followthat by asking the question.

(46:26):
And I'm sorry, I hope I'm notrushing anyone, but if I am,
just take your time and stickwith whatever you're doing.
What burdens am I carrying thatare not mine?
And so go ahead and make a listof any burdens that you're
carrying.

(46:46):
Aren't your.

(47:52):
As you're writing down yourburdens, I'd like you to just
ask yourself, am I ready to setthem down?

(48:21):
Once again, I'm just going toshare a bit from my list because
again, it was quite differentfrom what I listed above.
I find each time I do thisexercise a little bit more comes
through, and one is just thatsense of responsibility, a sense
of suffering, religious traumacertainly the money and scarcity
mentality, people pleasing, anxiety, stress, and insecurity.

(48:45):
So there can be other burdens aswell that you may have a
different list.
And whenever this, these lists, and it's okay if it's not
complete.
You can always revisit thiswhenever it is somewhat complete

(49:07):
for you.
I'm just gonna invite you totake your candle if you have
one, and go ahead and light itnow.
And this candle is just anacknowledgement of the gifts of

(49:30):
our ancestors, gratitude for allthat they've given us.
And one of the things we can dothat honors our ancestors is.
Just incorporate some of thetraditions, food, music, prayers
into our healing rituals.
So if there's anything of thatnature, any prayers, healing

(49:56):
food that you wish to, to say,to speak, to, invoke, to
consider, go ahead and bringthat in now.
And there is a, an affirmation,a daily Reiki affirmation that

(50:17):
you can use.
I honor the gifts of myancestors and I release their
burdens with love.
I am free to live my soul'spath.
I honor the gifts of myancestors.
I release their burdens withlove.
I am free to live my soul's.

(50:44):
Another thing that you canalways do is offer Reiki to any
family, photos or heirlooms thatblesses the lineage as well.
And now finally, before we beginour meditation, I'd like you to
have a look back through yourlists of gifts and burdens.

(51:08):
And I'd like you to circle one, two, or three gifts.
What gifts do I accept and alsoone to three or more burdens.
What burdens do I lovinglyrelease?
And maybe you accept all ofthem.
That's okay.

(51:29):
And maybe you release all ofthem, that's also okay.
But if you'd like to focus onone or two in this session, and
then maybe one or two at a latertime, that can be an extremely
effective way to fully releasethe burden.
So if you have say, maybe abigger burden that you've been
carrying, you can focus just onthat.
This is completely up to you.

(51:57):
And now I'd like to invite youto join me in our meditation
today.
We're going to journey togetherinto the heart of our ancestry.
So go ahead and queue up yourmusic, just getting it ready to

(52:17):
play.
And before we do.
Hit play on our music again.
We're starting with RebeccaCampbell, arms of the mother
moving to Unbound, forever,Unbound, and then the great
mother chant.

(52:39):
Just go ahead and bring yourhands to Gassho once more.
Invite Reiki to flow through younow.
Just connecting you with thelove of the earth beneath you
and the light of source above.
Just aware of that beautifulchannel that we already created,

(53:01):
and just feel that Reiki pouringthrough your crown into your
heart, down into your body, intothe earth, and up through the
earth, through your heart, allthe way up into the heavens.
Imagine that it's going all theway into the center of the
earth, the earthly fire.

(53:23):
Earthly divine flame, groundrock, groundwater, the bedrock,
and just feel yourself verygrounded in the safety and
support.
And you can go ahead and cue upyour music now, and we'll begin

(53:53):
just placing your handscomfortably on your body.
Wherever you feel guided andbreathe, go ahead and imagine
this long line of ancestorsstretching out behind you,

(54:17):
reaching back through time.
Feel, their presence, theirstrength, their love, and their
sacrifices.

(54:37):
Invite you to just close youreyes and breathe in their gifts
as you allow your heart to fillwith gratitude.
And we'll remain here forseveral breaths together.

(57:01):
Take one more deep breath andturn around.
Say hello to your mother line.
Just noticing each of them, those that you know and are
aware of, and those that youweren't or are not aware of,

(57:22):
that you never knew, and you cansmile and wave at them.
You can embrace them.
If it feels right to you.
Notice that your mother linemight be slightly to your left.

(57:46):
Turn to your right now and sayhello to your father line.
Same thing.
Some of them that you know andsome of them that you don't.

(58:07):
Let them know that you're happythat they're here, and that you
appreciate being that bridgegeneration that can release all
of our burdens.
As you release them foryourself, you release them for
them as well.
And although that channel thatwe created is entirely your own,

(58:35):
we can send Reiki to them andinvite them to participate in
the healing.
Just taking a moment to be awareof the gifts they've passed on
to you, that resilience, wisdom, creativity, love, and with each
inhale, just draw those giftsdeeper into your heart.

(58:58):
Whispering, a quiet thank youfor each one.
As Reiki begins to magnify theseblessings within you, and you
can nod to your ancestors andyour mother line and your father
line saying thank you for yourgifts, thank you for your love,

(59:22):
thank you for your wishes forme.
Even if you couldn't expressyour love, thank you.
I know that the love was there.
Underneath the stress.
Underneath the burdens that youcarried underneath the
addictions.
Thank you for the love for thegifts.
The time might not have beenright for them to express their

(59:44):
gifts, and that's what you cando for them.
Take a moment to consider theimportance of these gifts in
your life, and therefore theimportance of having chosen the

(01:00:10):
lineage that you did thisbeautiful lineage that led to
the creation of the beauty.
That is, you recognize that, appreciate that they do, and yet

(01:00:34):
it's something we often don'tappreciate about ourselves.
And now notice gently theburdens that they carried, the
fear, the scarcity, the silence, the grief, all of the things

(01:00:57):
that you wrote down earlier.
See these burdens at heavy asheavy stones that were placed in
your hands to carry with love.
I invite you to acknowledge theweight of these burdens of each
stone.

(01:01:17):
You may even see them coming toplace, the stones, and I invite
you to just acknowledge theweight and one by one place the
stones onto the earth at yourfeet.

(01:01:38):
Allowing Reiki to transform theminto light.
Feeling the heartbeat of theearth, your connection with the
earth.
Some of the stones are going tobe absorbed into the earth.
Some of them are going to betransformed, transmuted, and
with each stone that you setdown for yourself, becoming

(01:02:04):
lighter and lighter, as theburdens are released from you,

(01:02:29):
you may notice a big pile ofstones at your feet.
That's all right.
They've been released from you.
They're being returned to sourcewhere they can be healed all the
way back to their source.

(01:02:54):
Some of the stones may beburdens you were never even
aware of.
Release those two and we'llremain here together for several
breaths today.

(01:04:39):
And just notice that Reiki as itmoves back through the line of
your ancestors, that they tooare unbound and it blesses them
with peace, forgiveness, andhealing.

(01:05:03):
Maybe you see their faces lightup with joy with relief, but
it's also okay to just focus onyour own healing.

(01:05:32):
You may notice how this healingripples forward, blessing your
children, your grandchildren, all those who come after you
releasing them from theseburdens.
Addictions, trauma, stress,scarcity.

(01:06:09):
Allow Reiki to take care of youfor you, and that includes
taking care of your ancestorsand descendants.

(01:06:30):
If any of the burdens may seemto be lingering, let them know
that you released them with loveback to the creator.
Even if they caused you injury, you hold them.

(01:06:55):
No malice, no harm.

(01:07:18):
Maybe there are additionalburdens that you notice within
you that you have accruedthrough the process of living
your life.
You can set those down too.
They need not move forward.
They need not remain with you.

(01:09:48):
Your heartbeat, align with theheartbeat on the earth and place
your hands on your heart and youmay wish to use the following
affirmation Now I accept thegifts of my ancestors.
I accept their wishes for abetter life for me.

(01:10:15):
I release their burdens withlove, and I appreciate that they
did their best and I appreciateall the difficulties that they
had to go through.
I invite Reiki now to guide mylineage into wholeness and
peace.

(01:10:56):
I'm just feeling the Reikienergy settle around all of us.
I invite you to take a deepbreath now and just slowly come
back to this moment.
Carrying with you the energy ofgratitude.

(01:11:17):
Just for today, I will begrateful and also the energies
of freedom and light.
And just coming back in your owntime, I'd like to thank you all

(01:11:43):
for journeying into yourancestry with me and with Reiki
today.
I think that as we heal and weheal the ancestors, it impacts
the energy of the earth.
And so this is just so importantevery time you work.

(01:12:08):
To heal yourself, to reveal yourwholeness, your truth, your
authentic self.
You free not only yourself, butyour entire lineage.
I thank you today for the workthat you do.
This is a blessing for everyone.
Thank you.
Thank you for being with us.
Thank you for the being thebeautiful light that you are in

(01:12:30):
the world.
Until next time, Namaste.
