(00:55):
So welcome everyone to thismonth's Reiki share and this
week's podcast.
We are coming to you.
I have Bertina here with me andwe're coming to you live from
Portugal.
We're over here for a month ofI'm here for a month.
Bertina, you're here for 17 daysand my husband's here for 21 or
(01:19):
22 days, in a few days, he'lljoin us in a few days.
But we're having a wonderfultime and just taking a little
bit of downtime, which issomething I've never taken a
month off before in my life.
But after running politically inthe last In the election last
fall, I realized I was prettytired and my good friend Jill
(01:43):
Teal always takes a month off.
She does it twice a year, Ithink, and I thought that's, I
was a little bit jealous.
And one of the things thatjealousy shows us is something
that we want for ourselves, evenif we're not aware of it.
So I realized I think it's timefor us to try this and take a
(02:05):
month off.
Now, something I've, I haven'ttold you guys yet but I'm hoping
to get the whole month.
And the reason is that I havebeen nominated as the Green
Party candidate for the upcomingfederal election in Fredericton,
Oromocto.
And If there is an early federalelection called, I will have to
(02:29):
head home.
So let's just all send Reiki, keep our fingers crossed, and
send Reiki to the election.
Holding off at least until Apriluntil we can get everything
together.
And and so that I can have thatmonth off that I've never had
before in my life.
So the first thing I wanted tostart with today before we even
(02:51):
jump in, oh, obviously, I guessI always start with letting you
know what we have.
coming up and I do want to letyou know what is coming for
courses.
In April the 5th and 6th we havean online and in person at the
farm Yesui Holy Fire 3 or sorrya Reiki Level 1 and 2 class,
(03:17):
that's a weekend class.
Then online in the evenings Ihave a Yesui Holy Fire Reiki
masterclass April 7th to 10th.
April 12th to 13th is animalReiki one and two.
That's a weekend.
It's in person and at the farm.
And then that following week inthe evenings is the animal Reiki
(03:40):
masterclass.
I also have health care Reiki, which is going to be in person.
April 30th and May 1st at theNortheast Reiki Retreat in
Silver Bay, New York, and alsoonline May 17th to 18th and
would love to have you join us.
(04:00):
The energy of that is justincredible, and I expect it's
going to come in a little bit.
in our Reiki share tonight.
And then for those of you whowould like to join our whale
class, we've got the level oneand two in master class in
Campobello.
(04:21):
And we go Whale watching inbetween on that class, but it's
just a beautiful island.
We'd love to share it with you.
It's the summer home of Franklinand Ellen or Roosevelt.
And that's August 9th to 13thand August 16th to 20th is our
animal Reiki one and two inmasterclass.
So we'd just love to have youjoin us for those if they work
(04:45):
for you.
And I also wanted to share withyou just.
A few photos from Portugal sincewe're here, we thought we'd take
you around our apartment here,or I guess we, it's like a
townhouse that we have, butthere's not really not much to
see cause it's dark out.
(05:07):
So Bertina put together just afew photos for you.
So I'm just going to go aheadand share my screen and And show
you just a few of the thingsthat we've been doing since
we've been here in Portugal, forthose of you who are watching on
video.
So I think that's gonna fliphere in a moment.
(05:29):
We've been having an absolutelywonderful time.
We're in the Algarve and wespent the day today in Sagres
and Lagos we're we've beentaking the ferry and headed over
to Spain.
These are a few, just a fewphotos from, Of some of the
(05:54):
lovely things that we've beenseeing and doing here, but we've
really been enjoying ourselves.
So here's a few more photos, andI managed to I'm managing to
drive the stick shift noproblem.
I hadn't driven one in about 20years, I wasn't sure if I could
remember how.
(06:14):
But actually it's like riding abike you don't forget, so it's
working out really well.
And then here's a few pictures.
We actually visited a KnightsTemplar stronghold.
And yeah, we've seen quite a lotalready.
And we've only been here sinceSunday, last Sunday.
(06:39):
So there, just thought we'd takeyou on a little on a little
excursion through to see alittle bit of what we've been
doing.
The podcast today is aboutspring cleaning.
It's March.
The days are getting a littlebit longer.
It's time to clear out theclutter, whether it's spring as
(07:01):
it is for many of us or some ofus in the Southern Hemisphere,
it's fall.
These in between seasons are thetime to clear the clutter.
Make room for new things to comeand I've really been receiving a
lot of messages around thatlately.
In fact it started on Januaryin, or before January, just
(07:22):
between Christmas and NewYear's, just a lot of painting
at the house that needed to bedone and organizing and clearing
and that sort of thing.
And then I think that now it'stime to really do that clearing
in our bodies.
And get ready for that next Thatnext stage, that next step that
(07:42):
we're heading into.
And so I love the, thoseshifting seasons the spring and
the fall.
And as we're coming up intoeclipse season, we're coming
into the Equinox, there's a lotaround awakening renewal.
(08:04):
This is always a time for afresh start, both for nature,
but also with us in our lives.
We are part of the earth.
We're creatures of the earth.
And so as nature shifts andchanges, so do we.
We're connected with the earth.
We can't help it.
We respond to the eclipses.
(08:26):
Even if we're not aware of them,we respond to the equinox.
We respond to the energy of theearth.
So as things are coming out ofthat dormancy of winter this is
really a perfect time toactivate Reiki.
And just bring in the healingand balancing properties that
(08:48):
natural synergy between what'shappening on the earth and what
Reiki can assist us with.
So while we move into the longerdays, the warmer temperatures,
the return of the light, theblossoming of life, it's time
for And dormant plants arecoming alive, animals are coming
out of their hibernation, andthere's just this sense of
(09:11):
vitality happening.
And even if you're on the otherside of the world, you can tap
into this.
And Reiki is a lot like that.
It's like spring.
It will bring light.
Into areas that have stagnated,it will revitalize our energy.
It'll waken our potential.
It helps us align with theupward expanse of energy, but
(09:35):
more importantly than that, it,or as importantly as that, it
also clears away whatever nolonger serves us to make space
for new growth.
So we're looking tonight at alittle bit of letting go of the
old, just like winter.
Releases, the trees release theold leaves in the fall and this
(09:57):
is time to let go of whateverisn't beneficial.
And that might be habits, oldhabits.
It could be limiting beliefs.
It could be emotional burdensthat we've been hanging on to or
carrying.
But whatever it might be Reikiis there for us to help us let
(10:17):
it go.
It will help us with this.
Energetic detoxification, helpus let go of any emotional or
physical blockages.
It will help us start fresh, just aligning with this natural
rhythm of renewal.
And as we let go of the old, that opens the opportunity for
(10:41):
us to plant the seeds that willgrow and flourish.
There's a thought of a river.
Never being the same rivertwice.
You can cross a river in theexact same place, but you're
never crossing the same riverbecause the water has moved on.
(11:01):
Pebbles may have shifted, butlife is like that.
We sometimes cling to what wehave, what we had, what but if
we could think of ourselves andthink of our lives like the
river, even if we had what usedto be, it wouldn't be the same.
It's constantly moving.
(11:23):
So what happens as we let go ofthis is it's going to give us
the space to bring in new, theseseeds of things that we'd like
to bring in.
And we can actually followsomebody else's agenda or we can
follow our own.
And what Reiki can help us do isjust place that intention around
(11:45):
what we want to bring in and itcan infuse these seeds, these
thoughts, these ideas, thesethings we'd like to have in our
lives with energy.
And then if we also.
infuse it with our focus, thenit's going to bring growth,
always growth and growth can beuncomfortable.
(12:07):
I think about the children andthe growing pains that they used
to have when they were growingso rapidly as young people.
And so we know growth can beuncomfortable, but It always
tends to lead us in the rightdirection and William Rand talks
about the fact that it's ournatural state of being to grow.
(12:30):
Everything is always growing inone way or another.
When we stop growing physically,we begin to grow emotionally and
spiritually.
And so we're always it's thenatural thing.
process for plants and animalsand anything that lives on the
(12:51):
earth to be in a space or stateof growth.
So we can also tap into theequinox energy.
We're a little early for it, butjust being aware that this is
coming and that's that moment ofbalance between day and.
And so we can tap into thatbalance and that harmony as we
(13:14):
do step into the growth and thatcan make it just a little bit
more comfortable and Reiki justnaturally does this for us.
It promotes balance.
It harmonizes our physical, emotional, mental, spiritual
energies, and that mirrors thenatural harmony of spring as we
step into our own growth.
(13:37):
And then also, finally we havethe symbolism around the
connection to the earth, ourroots, and the fact that when
we, for many of us in thenorthern hemisphere where I am,
we lose touch with or track ofthe earth a little bit as it
gets covered with snow and itcan be more difficult to get out
(14:01):
and about.
Depending on the temperaturesand the iciness and so on.
And so when this goes away weremember a little better our
connection to the earth.
We remember the renewal and itjust brings so much hope.
And I think that for a lot ofreasons we're living in a very
(14:23):
chaotic time.
And I just want to, I just wantto acknowledge that even being
here in Europe, out of NorthAmerica for a few days Bertina
and I have noticed that it justfeels less chaotic and we've
(14:44):
stepped out of some of the chaosa little bit, but we are living
in a very chaotic time.
I don't know what people whodon't have Reiki, I don't know
how they manage it and I don'tknow if you've thought that
yourself but as we step intospring, we remember our
(15:05):
connection to the earth.
We can spend more time outdoors.
We can connect with nature'scycles.
This is a way to step out ofthat chaos and confusion.
If you are experiencing that.
And I know that a lot of us havebeen we also have Reiki will
help deepen our bond and ourconnection with the earth.
(15:27):
It will help stabilize us.
It will help ground us and justremind us that we're part of a
cycle.
The chaos, the confusion is.
is a cycle.
It's part of a cycle.
I think it's the ending of acycle.
And just remember, I guess Reikican just help us remember that
(15:48):
we're all connected.
We're all one.
In fact, Rebecca Campbell talksabout the fact that earth is one
organism and we are part of her.
And so we really can't beseparated from each other.
Anything that impacts any one ofus impacts the others.
(16:10):
So what are a few things we cando with Reiki that align us with
spring?
We can use Reiki to spring cleanour energy.
Just letting go of that stagnantenergy I was talking about like
spring cleaning for our spiritand our space.
And you'll find that your outerreality always resembles your
(16:33):
inner reality.
If you'll find that as youspring clean internally there's
a good chance you're probablygoing to go spring clean
externally and just really getinto organizing your world
around you as well.
And I've noticed that every timethat I go to a Reiki class or
(16:54):
have a really spiritually, agrowth experience.
With Reiki that I come home andlook around and say, where did
all this clutter come from?
And I do a big decluttering ofthe house.
So you may find that you'retempted to do that as you spring
clean your energy.
(17:16):
We also, can use Reiki, andwe're going to today in our
session, to focus on plantingseeds of intention.
And that's intention for growth.
Anything that we're steppinginto that's new is growth.
And we can just even Allow Reikito support them as we and
(17:36):
visualize them growing andflourishing because Reiki will
do that for us.
Reiki can also really help us toopen our heart and bring in a
renewed sense of connection andcompassion.
It can balance our heart chakra.
It can help us with self love.
(17:58):
can deepen our relationships.
So if you need that today, I'mgoing to invite you to just form
that intention.
And Reiki can also, if we canget out in nature as we practice
Reiki.
It really connects us with thatspirit of the earth that we
(18:19):
learn about in our ReikiMasterclass.
And it really helps us enhanceour practice and align with the
season's vitality.
And just talking about thespirit of the earth reminds me,
I forgot to mention somethingabout some of the classes that
we have coming up.
I have a few people.
(18:39):
Interested in Karuna Reiki.
I don't have a Karuna Reikiclass scheduled, so depending on
in mid March, I'll know a littlebetter about the timing of the
election because it's it islikely to be a a The snap
(19:00):
election, which will be calledearly and once I know that I'll
get, I'm going to get in touchwith them and we're just going
to arrange a time that works forall of us.
And so if Karuna is on yourbucket list, if you're thinking
That's for people who have beenat the master level for at least
six months and are ready to takeit further.
(19:23):
I think it's probably going tobe a class that we do over a few
mornings or a few evenings orsomething like that, just
depending on the peopleinterested, their schedule.
So if Karuna is on your bucketlist, just send me an email.
And I will make sure that wechat with you as well to see
that we can sort that out andfit you in.
(19:46):
So yeah, basically because.
Spring is stepping us intorenewal because I really decided
to go all out with renewal andcome to Portugal for a whole
month and again, fingerscrossed, sending Reiki that's
possible.
This is.
(20:06):
Really what I wanted to wantedus to explore tonight.
These are the cycles, thespring, summer, autumn, winter,
their metaphors for our personaljourneys.
And I always love to tap intothat.
So one of the things that I'dlike you to think about.
(20:27):
with spring awakening and newbeginnings before we move into
our meditation.
And you can take a few momentswith a journal or to write some
notes or do some automaticwriting if you'd like.
Is that after the stillness ofwinter and the earth awakening
seed sprout, what are some ofthe new opportunities or goals
(20:53):
that You're ready to cultivatein your life.
I'm just going to give you a fewminutes to think about that.
(21:29):
And then just remembering orconsidering that just being
willing to step into.
The energy of renewal, physicalrenewal, Reiki can help us
recharge and rejuvenate ourbody, promoting healing and
vitality by releasing thestagnant energies, boosting our
(21:52):
natural healing ability, creating that deep sense of
relaxation, helping us alignwith spring's energy.
And I'd like you to think aboutemotional renewal.
So just think physically, arethere anything, is there
anything physically that I wantto let go of?
(22:20):
Have you been in a state ofstress or do you have any
physical injuries or pain orhave you been struggling with
not feeling your best?
(22:43):
And just think about what youmight be willing to let go of
physically tonight.
(23:08):
And then let's just take amoment to consider emotionally.
What we would like to releaseand let go of any past wounds,
any emotional baggage or weightthat we've been carrying, any
stress or fear, sadness oranger.
(23:33):
Is there anything around ourheart chakra that might be
preventing it from functioningoptimally?
Is there anything that isgetting in the way of your
optimism, your hope, is any ofthis chaos been getting to you,
(23:58):
have you been feelingoverwhelmed with it?
As I sometimes was, is thereanything that's holding you back
and just give that a few minutesto think, just what do I want to
(24:19):
release emotionally?
(24:53):
And now let's just give a littlebit of thought to our spiritual
renewal tonight.
We have an opportunity toconnect more deeply with our
higher selves, with the earth, with the universe, to be open to
new possibilities.
(25:15):
We have the opportunity toenhance our intuition, recognize
those opportunities for growththat maybe were covered over by
some of these layers of the waysand worries of the world.
(25:36):
We have an opportunity toconnect to the flow of universal
energy.
We have an opportunity to upliftour spirit, embrace hope and
positivity.
We have an opportunity torelease old patterns, outdated
(25:58):
beliefs, habits, creating thespace for new perspectives and
spiritual breakthroughs.
So I invite you to ask yourself, what does your spirit need right
now?
What does it need to let go ofand what does it need to
embrace?
And we'll spend a few momentshere.
(27:05):
Some of the things that we canlook forward to is that.
As we step into physicalrenewal, our bodies will heal
and recharge, our emotionalresilience improves, and we can
step forward with more clarityand confidence.
And as we release our emotionalbaggage, we can, it will clear
(27:30):
the way for spiritual insightsand a deeper connection to our
purpose.
And as we release any spiritualobstacles or baggage.
Then that nurtures both ourbodies and emotions.
So it's this wonderful cyclethat we can tap into today.
(27:56):
Some of the things that we cando to support ourselves is our
daily self Reiki.
We can also set intentions withReiki, affirmations.
We can spend time with Reiki innature.
We can remember to clear up ourenergy, cleanse our energy using
Kenyoku, dry bathing, where yousweep your body, activate Reiki
(28:23):
and sweep your body.
And we can also combine Reikiwith a ritual, such as what
we're doing today.
And so we're going to go aheadnow and go into our meditation.
(28:46):
I'm just going to invite you togo ahead and activate Reiki.
You can draw your symbols.
In the air around you, in yourhands, on your body.
Any symbols that you feel guidedor wish to include, and if you
(29:06):
don't have symbols, that's okay.
Just send loving intentions intothe space around you, and my
symbols are going to besurrounding each and every one
of you, whether you're here withme tonight, or you're listening
later.
(29:30):
And this meditation is going tobring about an awakening to
spring.
It's going to allow us to useReiki to release the old and
invite that renewal, invite thenew.
(29:51):
I'd like you to think again fora moment just about what you'd
wish to release, and then alsoconsider what you would like to
(30:16):
welcome, what seeds would youlike to plant today?
We could think of it as turningover the earth.
Getting it ready for the seedsand then in fact planting those
seeds and allowing them to grow.
(30:39):
So I invite you to makeyourselves comfortable, close
your eyes, take a deep breath inand just letting it out really
slowly.
We take this moment and we stepoutside of the chaos that often
(31:09):
surrounds us.
Just settling into this.
moment of stillness andpossibility together and just
allowing Reiki to flow.
(31:35):
And I invite you to begin byfocusing your attention on your
breath and on every inhale, justimagine that Reiki energy is
flowing into your body on yourbreath.
And with each exhale, I inviteyou to just release anything
(31:56):
heavy, stagnant, or that nolonger serves you.
And we're just going to breathehere together for several
breaths.
(34:51):
Just imagine roots now growingfrom your body deeply into the
earth, anchoring you andstabilizing you, connecting you
with the strength of the earth, feel that strength and
stability, that power.
(35:14):
And as you do just notice thatthe earth's energy, the energy
of the spirit of the earth isrising through these roots,
grounding you and releasing anypain.
Any discomfort, any difficulty, whether it's physical, mental,
(35:47):
spiritual, or emotional.
And we just let go of thatmental flutter.
We realize it's not ours.
(36:13):
And there are energiescluttering our auras right now.
We release it with love back tothe source from which it came.
And just breathe deeply withclear, clean aura.
(36:45):
Now I invite you to bring yourawareness to thoughts of spring,
of renewal, picturing the earthas it awakens.
Imagine buds on trees, flowers.
(37:10):
in their bloom, not yet open, but full of potential and
possibility.
Think of the warmth of the sun.
Just imagine and invite theenergy of spring to surround you
(37:33):
now.
And just filling you with lightand growth and possibility.
We'll stay here together for awhile.
(37:54):
Connecting with your potential.
(38:57):
Now imagine a beautiful greenlight, the color of spring, of
renewal and growth, just flowinginto your heart now.
And as it does, just allow it toexpand and expand outward with
every breath.
(39:18):
And as it expands, just Itbegins filling your body with
vitality and hope, and we'llbreathe here together for some
time.
(40:35):
If there are any injuries orblockages in the heart area,
just allow that green light todissolve them, heal them, let
them go.
(41:45):
Now, from this space ofpotential and possibility, I
invite you to consider Or thinkabout one or two of the
intentions for growth that youformed for yourself for this
season.
(42:05):
It might be a personal goal, anemotional shift, a spiritual
intention, aspiration.
Imagine that these intentionsare seeds in your hands.
(42:28):
Maybe they look like appleseeds, pumpkin seeds.
And then as you hold them inyour hands, just imagine that
these seeds begin to glow withReiki energy.
(42:49):
I invite you to place or plantthe seeds in that rich soil of
your heart, that soil thatyou've just turned over and
prepared for them.
And as you plant them, you knowthat they're nurtured by the
(43:13):
warmth of the sun, Reiki, thenourishment of the spirit of the
earth, and this flow of Reiki, and just trust that they'll grow
in perfect timing.
(43:34):
And we're going to remain here, just tending to those seeds,
allowing them to cultivate.
Set up roots and begin to grow.
(45:39):
Now, as our hearts are filledwith renewal, just imagine
sending this beautiful energyoutward into the world.
Imagine it moving and flowing toyour loved ones.
Imagine sending this lovingenergy.
(47:12):
Energy of renewal, hope, restoration to the people in
your community, your friends.
(48:42):
Imagine sending it to all of thepeople in your province or your
state or your territory and thenall of the people in your
(49:10):
country.
(50:07):
Imagine this energy expandingacross the entire earth and
creation and imagine it movinginto the earth itself.
(50:37):
And as it does, it offers loveand healing and growth to all of
the beings on the planet.
And you might wish to justrepeat silently to yourself.
I align.
(50:59):
With the energy of Reiki and theenergy of spring, I grow with
grace and ease, mentally,physically, spiritually,
emotionally.
And I share this renewal withthe world and will remain here.
(52:35):
I invite you to take as long asyou'd like to come back when you
feel ready just to bring yourfocus and your attention to your
eyes.
Slowly open them and return.
Take a moment to say thank youto yourself for this practice in
(53:06):
the earth and for the abundantenergy of renewal.
Remember that as the earth getschaotic, you can return to this
place at any time, either bylistening to the podcast, or
(53:27):
just conjuring it in your mind.
But I invite you to bring thissense of growth and possibility
with you and to just touch basewith it through the day.
(53:57):
Thank you for joining me heretoday.
I'm excited to see what thoseseedlings turn into Thank you
for each.
And every one of you.
Namaste.
Thank you.
