Pamela (00:57):
On this week's podcast, I'm here with my friend and
licensed Reiki master teacher,Jay Jackson, talking about Reiki
crystals and his Reiki crystalhealing course.
Welcome, Jay.
Thank you.
It's so nice to be here.
So nice to be with you.

(01:19):
Before we dive in though, justwanted to let you know what we
have coming up at Reiki from theFarm.
The month of April is a reallybusy month.
April 5th and 6th is a Level 1and 2 class.
The evenings that week, April7th to 10th is a Master Class.

(01:39):
The weekend of April 12th and13th is Animal Reiki 1 and 2,
and the evenings is followed byan Animal Reiki Masterclass.
Also, we're looking at having anevening Animal Communication
Level 3 class from 7 to 11Eastern Time, Friday and

(02:03):
Saturday, April 25th and 26th.
And this is also for our Asianstudents.
It will be mornings for them.
So if you want to take animalcommunication to the next level,
that's available.
And then at the end of themonth, Tracy Sullivan and I will
be teaching our first, after ourpilot class, we will be teaching

(02:27):
our first official healthcareReiki course in person at Silver
Bay Community College.
New York.
The April classes, by the way,are all online and in person at
the farm just outside ofFredericton, New Brunswick.
And the Health Care Reiki classwill be in Silver Bay, New York
April 30th and May 1st, justahead of the Northeast.

(02:48):
Reiki Retreat.
And we'll actually be talkingabout health care Reiki at the
Northeast Reiki Retreat.
I'll put a link in the podcastif you would like to join us.
Of course, this summer I haveour whale classes in Campobello,
Reiki 1 and 2 and Masters,Animal 1 and 2 and Masters.
Those are both online and inperson.

(03:10):
I would love to have you join usfor those.
I should mention the eveningclasses are only online in April
but the weekend classes are bothonline and in person.
It would be very strange to havepeople here till midnight, I
think and strange for them too.
Jay, what do you have coming upfor classes, and do you have any
crystal classes coming up?

Jay (03:32):
Oh, so I have.
Crystal classes coming up.
So I teach three differentlevels of crystal classes.
The first one I just call ReikiCrystal Introduction, which is a
two day class.
And then there's an intermediateclass, which is another two day
class.

(03:53):
And then we I also have a, anadvanced teacher training class,
which is a three day class, andI'm not sure exactly when that
falls in, but that class takes alittle bit of preparation.
When I teach a master class, Ido teach it over two different
weekends,

(04:13):
so
it'll be a Saturday, Sunday, and then the following
Saturday.
Is how I'll teach that and so Igot to have those scheduled
throughout the year and thoseclasses right now are all remote
virtual, which is, which hasbeen a little bit interesting
going, going for something sotangible as crystals, and

(04:34):
teaching in person to onlineit's been interesting to see how
that works, and it works, andit's really, It's just really
wonderful to be able to teachthose energies.
Also with that so when I wouldbe teaching in person students
would receive a crystal kit.
So they would receive all thecrystals in the class.

(04:55):
But when we're doing it online,I just, I give the students the
list of crystals, and it inadvance of what they need to
acquire.
And then they can go out and, pick out their own stones and
purchase them.
And so then the tuition is muchmore reduced cause they're not
including the crystals.

Pamela (05:13):
right?

Jay (05:14):
Yeah.
So I did.
I have so much fun with teachingthem and that it's
transformative what we do reallygrounding work.
We're really, I've seen a lot ofpeople being able to use this
crystal healing with remotesessions, which is really
interesting.
So I've had a couple of studentswho were having some
difficulties with their physicalbodies and, facilitating

(05:38):
sessions.
And they found that by using acrystal session, they're able to
focus better and they were usingbetter mechanics and it was more
sustainable for them.
And so
it's just really cool.
And I know that you have such alove for animal Reiki.
And so just for people who forme, animal Reiki and crystal

(06:00):
healing really go hand in handbecause some of the basis of
those energies coincide.
It's that appreciation andconnection with something that
is not human.
And because then we realize yes,we are important.

(06:20):
We're not the only element inthe world that matters.
And And then these otherelements in our planet are
helping to heal the planet andas well as healing ourselves.
So I just have a great passionfor anything that, work that we
do.
And these are classes that are Ishould say are all from, derived

(06:43):
from L'Oreal Shantigai as well.
coursework.
So she was very instrumental inthe International Center for
Reiki Training for many years.
She actually developed thelicensing program and she ran
the licensing program for manyyears.
And she was a beautiful mentorfor me because she put in the

(07:04):
work.
She was human.
I put her up on a pedestal, butshe was human.
And She really spent timeconnecting with the energies and
spending time to meditate and tocreate and I have so much love
and appreciation for her becauseshe was very creative, even in

(07:24):
her later years after she had a,significant near death
experience.
experience where she had a 2percent chance of survival and
survived and had significantlimitations.
She was still creating.
It's just amazing to me.
So she had a beautifulconnection with the Lemurian
energies, which are like thefoundation of the crystal

(07:49):
courses that she connects, connected with and developed.
And so there are some beautifulLemurian guides that come
through.
It helped with this work and Ihad that connection

Pamela (08:04):
long before

Jay (08:06):
I had even met Laurel.
And so the there's a lot ofdifferent publications about
Lemuria and where that was, andI don't necessarily delve into
those theories and things toomuch because I know what I know.

(08:27):
energetically, and I just stickwith that.
Sometimes I think we use thesame language for different
things, perhaps, but it's justso it's absolutely beautiful,
the peaceful energy that workswith.
And doing the crystal work.

Pamela (08:43):
I wanna come back to that.
'cause I've been told somethings about Lumira too, and I I
definitely wanna come back tothat just on classes though,
Jay.
Do.
Are you also teaching Reikiclasses or are you primarily Oh

Jay (08:54):
gosh, yeah.

Pamela (08:55):
Yeah.

Jay (08:57):
You know what?
Yeah.
I, I teach monthly a riki oneand two class.
Absolutely love, love teachingReiki 1 and 2 class.
I love seeing students havethat, going Okay, I'm really
curious and I'm really drawn tothis class, but does it really
work?
And then by the second it works.
Okay, something's happening.

(09:18):
So we so I love seeing that.
And I do teach the master classthat the Holy Fire Yusui
Masterclass Three to four timesa year and again, that's I'm
doing the split weekend schedulefor that So Saturday, Sunday and
the following Saturday And abouttwice a year I'm offering the
Kaurna Reiki class as well.

(09:41):
That's what I do twice a

Pamela (09:42):
year, yeah.

Jay (09:43):
Yeah, and then the Animal Reiki classes are, have been so
much fun and so transformative.
Like I say, to me it goes handin hand with the crystal
classes, energetically.
And they just work really well.
Yeah, I just, yeah.
So I love teaching and I loveseeing what students gain from

(10:03):
it.
And the work that they're doing.
I've had several students, andyou probably have too, Pam, that
have no intention of workingwith animals.
But you have to take the AnimalReiki class, and it helps
improve their connection withthe divine source, and with
their empathy towards animals.

(10:24):
anything and everything in lifeand it just opens them up and

Pamela (10:29):
personally healing too, isn't it?

Jay (10:30):
Personal healing, exactly.

Pamela (10:32):
Yeah, I've had that

Jay (10:33):
just to say I'm not

Pamela (10:35):
really an animal person, but I was guided to be here and
then at the end of class theysay, oh, and it also really
helps them in their humanpractice, like working with
humans because humans are ananimal.

Jay (10:47):
We're an animal, but yeah, but we're an animal, but we're,
we are, and we need to viewourselves maybe just a little
bit differently.
And when
we view ourselves a little bit differently, then we can
heal better, more clearly.

Pamela (11:04):
I love that.
Jay, you've had some significantchanges and I just want to
follow up.
Constantly.
Constantly.
Taking you in so many lovelydirections.
Our first podcast together Wespoke about the, your, you being
a part of the LGBTQ community, and, there was a complexity to

(11:27):
that for you, because havinggrown up, was it in the Mormon
community, Jim?
Yeah.
And it just wasn't it was, it,that, that added a lot of
complexity.
for you being part of the LGBTQcommunity.
What's been happening there?
Has anything changed there?

(11:48):
Anything to report upon?

Jay (11:50):
Just some interesting observations.
So I have some people that willget frustrated with me that I
don't have the anger.
around the situation they go youshould yeah you should be a
little bit more you know youshould be pissed with you know
with how things were how thingswent down and how you were
treated and that's just notJay's nature that's just not my

(12:15):
nature.

Pamela (12:15):
No it's not and it's also Anger doesn't harm anybody
but you.

Jay (12:22):
Exactly.
And while I appreciate theirrecognizing the difficulty of
the journey but yeah, anger is,because if I would have dealt
with anger, then I would havebeen denying My connection to
source energy.
And so just because I was nolonger part of a religious

(12:43):
spiritual practice doesn't meanI gave up my spiritual practice.
And and so that doesn't serveme.
But what I did have discoveredthough, is that a lot of us in
many different religions havereligious injuries.
And Holy Fire really broughtthat up to a lot of people.

(13:04):
And showed us that we hadhealing to do about some of the
religious injuries that haveoccurred.
Some of them were quiteinnocent.
Yeah, people were injured.
Others were much more malicious.
And and so it's not just theLGBTQ community.
It's all of the community as awhole and but I'm able to

(13:27):
connect with some of thosepeople and help them navigate
some of those challenges of howdo I navigate now without the
church?
are written in my religion.
How what does that say aboutmyself?
How do I live authentically?
And so there's a lot of people, quote unquote, in the closet

(13:50):
about their church.
They're no longer attendingchurch, but yet they don't want
to tell their families they'renot attending church.
And why?
So that there's just a lot ofinteresting things there that
people can heal.
And then, but then there's somebeautiful aspects of, religious
worship that are very beneficialto some people, and to be able

(14:11):
to honor that.
And it's okay.
It's okay to have bothexperiences.
Yeah, so we don't have to haveone or the other.
I would never tell someone tojust to leave their church just
because that didn't work for me.
That would be the last thing I'ddo.
If it works for you and you'rekidding.
Help in becoming authentic andthere's beautiful opportunities

(14:35):
to be able to serve.
Would support you and help, would want to help you in any
way I could to help realizethat.
But if you're just beingstagnant and are not in that
process of actually, Yeah it'sokay to change and move on to
something different.

Pamela (14:52):
Yeah, that's such a good point, Jay.
I love that.
And, I have lots of students whothe church and Reiki really go
well together for them.
And then I have others thatthey've just outgrown wherever
they were with the church, andthis is from a variety of
religions, and I always thinkabout Tracy Sullivan, and when

(15:14):
we talked about Reiki andCatholicism, which is the way
that she was raised, and thatrealization that she had when
she was attending a ChristmasEve service with her mother, And
for the first time ever, she gota similar feeling in that
Christmas Eve service that shegets with Reiki.

(15:36):
Just that connected, spiritual,wonderful feeling.
And she realized, oh my gosh, this is probably what my mother
gets from church.
Because for her mom church wasreally central and important and
not long after that, her motherwas present as Tracy did a Reiki

(15:59):
session for a mutual friendactually of theirs and her
mother was amazed because shecame to Tracy with big eyes and
said, wait, that's the samefeeling that I get.
in church.
And so I think, everybodyapproaches spirituality and

(16:19):
religion differently.
And for some people, thereligion that they were raised
in, and Reiki just works sobeautifully together.
I have people from all over theworld, you Every religious
experience where Reiki reallyenhances their religion and

(16:40):
spiritual practices in such abeautiful way.
And then others where where itdoesn't.
So it's just,

Jay (16:45):
so I had, I had those beautiful connections to
Ecuador.

Pamela (16:49):
Yes, and and that's my next question, because we were
talking about Reiki nomads inour next podcast together.
And, you've had to step awayfrom Ecuador.
You're in the U.
S.
now.
You've written a beautiful book.
Tell us about all of that.

Jay (17:04):
I wanted to tell you we're still in the religious aspect
real quick.
On our first, my first trip toEcuador, towards the last, I've
spent some time in Quito, whichis the capital city of Ecuador,
which is has an elevation of 9,200 feet high, and it's just a
beautiful, wonderful city, andthey have a beautiful Catholic
basilica there.

(17:26):
And it's in the historic part oftown, and my we went up to go
visit this, Beautiful Basilica.
And they were having a service.
I can't remember, it was likemaybe a Friday evening or
something like that.
And we paid our two dollars.
We were able to go into thedoor.
And there was a mass going on.

(17:48):
And it was beautiful.
And I was able to see the beautyof what was going on there.
There was just a beautifulenergetic presence.
And I've seen this in practiceat a lot of other different
churches.
But at one point they.
The service got to the pointwhere it was, they were, people

(18:08):
were to greet their neighbors.
Yes.
And so we were just off, clear off to the side, we
weren't, even in the chapelitself, but this man and wife
came up to us and gave us thebiggest, most, old, loved,
filled hugs, and that experiencewas so pivotal to me because

(18:32):
even though I'm not Catholicthese, I was able to see these
people have the love They'reexperiencing love and that was
so beautiful.
And I just was, that was twoyears ago, November.
Yeah.
It was just, to me, it was justsuch, it was just wonderful to
be able to see people have thatkind of love and to share that

(18:52):
love with other people.
And that's
really what we all of us should be about is sharing love
with each other.

Pamela (19:01):
There's a a theory that I saw and I can't even remember.
It was maybe Something I didwith Hay House, where if
religions are a pie, when wefirst start learning about the
religion, we're out on the crustof the pie, but as we learn more
and more, we keep going through, and when we're out on the crust,
we often say I'm this part, I'm,I'm Christian, or I'm Muslim, or

(19:24):
I'm Buddhist, or I'm ZoroastrianZoroaster, and We think we're
different.
And then, it's only as you learnmore and more, you get toward
the center of the pie, you go,wait a minute, we're the same,
just because.

Jay (19:38):
And the pie is sweeter in the middle.

Pamela (19:40):
And the pie is sweeter in the middle.
I had pie for breakfast thismorning.
It doesn't matter which roadthat we take to get there.
It only matters that we getthere.
And so it is just so beautifulwhen we can be open to all of
the religions.
But now tell me a little bitabout Ecuador, because the last

(20:02):
time we talked, you were a Reikinomad, you'd picked up your life
and you had moved down.
You built a house in Ecuador, but I do know you've had to come
back to the States, at leasttemporarily.
What's happening there?

Jay (20:15):
I'm still embracing the term nomad.

Pamela (20:19):
Good.

Jay (20:20):
And I'm wearing that badge of honor as a nomad.
Why?
Because that means I'm justtrying to be open to what the
divine wants for me.
Yes.
in the current now and time.
And I would never trade theexperience the last two years

(20:40):
with Ecuador at all.
I absolutely love it.
So I still own my house there inEcuador and haven't rented out
currently.
I actually felt more sense ofcommunity when I was living in
than I have anywhere else.
So I really love that.
But Part of me is I'm a nurse.

(21:04):
I'm a registered nurse.
And so even though I got burntout and from nursing and needed
to make that change, the nursingat that time, was, I wasn't able
to be involved in my Reikipractice as much because I was
working 60, 70 hours a week as anurse.

(21:26):
And so it's hard to teachclasses.
It's hard to facilitate sessionswhen just physically exhausted
from working.
Even though I was using Reiki inmy practice.
In my nursing practice.
I still wasn't teaching andoffering session as much.

Pamela (21:44):
And you were nursing through Covid, which was
difficult as well through Covid,

Jay (21:48):
through, intensive care the worst of it.
So when I went to Ecuador, I didend up, I I had started writing
a little book just on, oh, shut
it was.
I can bring it here without you.
Nurse, burn out to breaks, ifyou can see that there.
Beautiful.
Ah,

Pamela (22:05):
you got it.
There it is, Jay.
And where can people find yourbook?
Just on

Jay (22:09):
Amazon, go on Amazon.
It also applies to other peoplewho are in any kind of burnout
situation.
Some of the principles are, cancross over.
Even though I was working myReiki business much more full
time, and I was offeringsessions remotely, and and
classes, I Still, I hate to saythis was just a little on the

(22:35):
bored side.
Honestly, that was really kindof part of it.
Cause I'm a, I am a little bitof a workaholic and I'll admit
that.
I've known that about you.
Yeah, I'm a workaholic.
I recognize that.
Gets me into trouble.
The other thing is when I was inEcuador, I did have a nasty fall
and broke my arm and had to havea couple of surgeries.

(22:57):
And one surgery, They did thebest they could in Ecuador, but
the damage was severe enough itwouldn't have mattered if I was
in Ecuador or, any place and soI ended up having to have a
total shoulder replacement.
Oh, I didn't

Pamela (23:11):
realize

Jay (23:12):
that.
Yeah.

Pamela (23:13):
I

Jay (23:14):
didn't

Pamela (23:14):
know

Jay (23:14):
what it was.
Yeah, so yeah, so I had a couplesurgeries.
So it was interesting havingsurgery and in Ecuador.
Yes Oh it and not speakingSpanish really well But I was at
least had the nursing part of meSo I was able to experience, you
know being able to post goingbut one of the funny thing was

(23:35):
is that with When they werewaking me up from surgery, they
were all yelling at me, yellingat me, I go huh?
And they're all sayingRespirado.
And I was going, and I wasn'tsure what they meant.
And then finally someone lookson their phone, they go,
Breathe.
Oh, okay, breathe.

(23:56):
They were just trying to wake meup from anesthesia.
So anyways, I had the so I cameback in July to the United
States and started doing sometravel nursing assignment, so
financially, just to justlooking at my plan.
So then I was doing some travelin Cottonwood, Arizona, right

(24:18):
out of Sedona.
So I was there for the Reikiretreat.
So that was, it was wonderful.
And then I was able to come backto Las Vegas in a very different
role.
So now I'm in Registered NurseCare Manager, and so this is
much more sustainable for Jaybecause it's just an eight to
five job only 40 hours a weekand Some of my wonderful family

(24:42):
members.
Okay, dad.
You're not going to work asecond job, right?
You're not gonna work nights ontop of that.
You're not gonna work

Pamela (24:50):
nights are working a second job teaching Reiki.
I

Jay (24:53):
am, I'm teaching Reiki and giving sessions and stuff, but
I'm They know me that I would, but but I love the role that I'm
in because nursing can be soflexible which also goes in the
book that we can nursing has alots of different opportunities.
And so part of my role now ishelping to identify patients who

(25:13):
are at severe risk forhospitalization and to give them
the resources.
to prevent them from having toneed to go to the hospital.
So my job is to keep people outof the hospital.

Pamela (25:26):
Wow, that's wonderful.
Yeah.

Jay (25:30):
And because when, as a nurse, it was so frustrating to
seeing patients who had pooraccess to healthcare and that's
why they ended up.
So a lot of times it had nothingto do, maybe it was lifestyle,
but they weren't getting thetreatment.
resources they needed right tolearn and change.
And so for me, in some ways,I'm, I feel like I'm now part of

(25:53):
a solution versus.
trying to take care of problemsthat were never had not been
addressed for many years.
So I'm working for a hospitalsystem or a healthcare system
that's a not for profit andthat's, they're all about
evidence based practice versusfinancial based.

(26:13):
So here in the United States, there's a lot of for profit
organizations and a lot of thedecisions that are being made
are about profit.
How much money can we Earnedfrom this admission.
And so yeah, it's nice to have avery different environment.
So I'm enjoying that role andI'm learning it.

(26:35):
So I'm back in Las Vegas doingthat.
What's interesting right now, the, my job is remote, so I'm
working from home and and so I'mhonestly just allowing the
energies to move me forward.
I don't know what the future'sgonna look like.
I've known in the past severalyears manifestation is real.

(27:00):
We can manifest.
But, sometimes are wemanifesting something that's not
authentic to ourselves.
Oh.
So
that's just one of the questions that I'm posing for
myself.
Yeah
and so yeah, so just I'm enjoying being the journey,

(27:22):
being part of this journey, andbeing a nomad, and there's so
Being a nomad just means I'mbeing open to the possibilities.
And I don't know if you everremember watching the movie
Chocolat.
Yes.
Love that.
Love that movie Chocolat.
And.
And that just came to me thismorning as an analogy for my

(27:45):
life.
And
so the main character was this beautiful lady who had this
daughter who traveled from townto town opening up a little
chocolate business and she wasin, I think it was France.

Pamela (27:57):
Yeah.

Jay (28:02):
And a very conservative little community, and here she
was with all these new ideas, and when the wind changes, when
she would move on she alsocarried her mom's ashes around
with her, and as she was feelingthe panic, the wind changed,
that she needed to move, theashes fell and dumped.

(28:27):
in the house and scatteredthroughout the house.
And then that was herpermanence.
Oh this is, okay, I'm no longer,so I don't know when those ashes
are going to fall.
We're going to be, or I'm justgoing to be going from wind to
wind.
I don't know.
I'm just being open.
And sometimes that's a littlebit frustrating, but it's also a

(28:48):
little bit liberating as well.
Just, I'm not going to, put astamp on it.
This is where I'm going to be.
Who knows?
I don't know.

Pamela (28:58):
And nobody knows, really.
We don't.
None of us know.
And

Jay (29:02):
even as much as we'd like and want to know, sometimes
knowing is not always the bestin our interest.

Pamela (29:12):
That's right.
Thank you.
Yeah, I love that.
Jay, let's swing.
Thank you for the follow up.
I know that listeners areprobably curious because we
talked about those othersubjects.
Let's swing into talking alittle bit about crystals now.
What drew you to crystals in thefirst place?

Jay (29:27):
Crystals were a very pivotal part of my life.
So when was I, when werecrystals not a part of my life?
I guess it's really, socrystals, crystal, I always tell
people crystals are what broughtme to Reiki.
Because I had a connection withcrystals and crystal healing
long before I knew about Reiki.
You like

Pamela (29:46):
animal Reiki then, Jay, because horses brought me to
Reiki.

Jay (29:49):
Yeah.
I can remember as a, even as a,as a young teenager playing with
the rocks.
And I was playing as like ashaman.
Wow.
I created this beautiful crystalgrid.
I'd never heard of the termcrystal grid or anything like
that before.
And I was just playing and I wasjust working with energy.

(30:10):
I was working with energy, withthese crystals, and all of a
sudden I could feel the energy, and totally, no experience, no
one, no internet, no books oranything to talk about what
you're doing, and at that timeit scared me, because I was
still in a very conservativereligious life, but I was

(30:32):
feeling the energy from that, and so I always knew that there
was the power in it.
And then later on, then it wasworking, I mentioned that, my
father and I learned how to fastthe precious gemstones, and it
was through those preciousgemstones and working with them
and making those divineconnections with them that I
learned to have a deeperappreciation for even just

(30:54):
little teeny tiny, stones.

Pamela (30:57):
I always loved stones.
There's just, you're

Jay (31:00):
right.
I

Pamela (31:02):
collected rocks.
I still collect rocks.
I can't help it.
I try not to.

Jay (31:06):
Even rocks that, just from face value, don't, aren't that
beautiful.
Sometimes it just energeticallywill speak to you.
Yes.
Colleen Bonelli mentions in astory that she picked up like a
piece of rock off the road thatspoke to her.

(31:27):
Like a piece of gravel or and itwas a transformative experience
where she was gettinginformation and messages she
needed in her time of life.
So I was working with CrystalHealing Energies long before
Reiki
though was
extremely transformative for me.
And Really connected a lot ofthe dots with the crystal

(31:51):
healing because now we're ableto Crystals themselves are much
more intuitive.
The energies of the crystalsthemselves are very intuitive,
like Reiki is.
But most of us practice, or inthe world in general, practice
with rocks as a, just as anelement that's going to affect

(32:14):
change, just like Adding thisand this to a brew, we're going
to create something.
But in the crystal healingcourses, this we're starting to
understand and appreciate thelife force of the crystal
itself.
And that's really the importantaspect of the classes that I

(32:36):
teach is that there's.
There is an energy, aconsciousness of these stones
that can help us to work withReiki.
So even in our Reiki classes, like our Reiki masterclasses, we
talk a little bit about gridwork.
And so that just gives us thebasics.

(32:59):
The crystals themselves canvibrate at very specific
frequencies that can vibratewith Reiki.
long times, a period of time.
We just need to put energy ontoit on a regular basis.
Then it's going to transmitthose Reiki frequencies for
sustainable periods of time.

(33:20):
And so that's just an extremelyimportant element.
And then as we become much moreintuitive in working with
clients in crystals, thecrystals will tell us who wants
to be used.
I did a Chris session here justa week or two ago.
And this beautiful lady, anotherCanadian actually, and I always

(33:41):
have crystals about, and evenbefore I started this session, I
had three crystals say me.
And so I sat down and was doingthe session and then I had one
crystal that said, I am the one.
And so during this session, I'vegot this.

(34:02):
This gorgeous little crystal.
It wasn't a very big crystal.
And then I just started lookingat all the intricacies of the
crystals and energetic aspectsof this crystal.
And it was incredible how itfacilitated the session.
Because it has an intuition thatI don't have.

(34:22):
Do

Pamela (34:24):
you know, Jay, that I never used to tell people that
under my Reiki table, I actuallyhad a different crystal at where
each of the chakras would havebeen and I just, I don't know.
I was just guided to do that.
I just, I was like, okay, theirsacral chakra is going to be
about here.

(34:44):
This is the crystal that wantsto be here.
And so as people laid on myReiki table, the crystals, I
didn't even remember after awhile.
That those crystals were there.
It's just when I first set it upthat I was guided to do that.
And do you know that in England, when we did our masterclass

(35:05):
during the attunements Williamalways would invite us to bring
our crystals to, to class.
So I remember traveling to.
England for for the week of theclasses with one suitcase and it
was filled with books andcrystals and just three, three
pairs of pants.
That's it.

(35:29):
And so we all placed ourcrystals in the center and
during the attunements wenoticed it particularly with the
clear quartz that there werebubbles and cracks.
in the courts after theattunements that hadn't been
there before.
And I've noticed that duringsome of the ignitions that is
starting to happen even with theonline classes.

(35:51):
That has been starting to happenfor some of my students as well,
which is so interesting.
That can be.
But yes, there is aconsciousness.
And I knew when I this lamp, although it looks like a salt
lamp, this lamp behind me isrose quartz.
And when I first stepped intothe, my Reiki journey I had to

(36:13):
work, I just was so drawn torose quartz.
I had to work with rose quartzalmost always.
And it was I think, self love.
I just, I had to, that's what Iwas working on.
And the Rose Quartz has thiswonderful this wonderful, what
did you call it?
It's the consciousness aroundself love that was really

(36:35):
helpful.
And it has such a

Jay (36:37):
sweet energy that's just sweet and peaceful and kind and
loving all, all, all at the sametime.
And then and then there areother crystals that That are a
little bit more we got work todo.
Chop, chop.
Yep.
Chop, chop.
Exactly.
And because there's time andplace for that, too.

Pamela (36:54):
There is.
There is.
And tell me, so how did thiscourse that you teach, so
crystals were a big part ofthings.
Were you working with crystalsand Reiki before?
four.
You got connected with Laureland got working on this course.
Tell me about that.

Jay (37:11):
So like I said, I was working with crystals and had
even studied crystal healinglong before I knew anything
about Reiki.
So I had a lot of differentbooks on crystal healing.
And then that was also, but moreusing, okay, I'm using this
stone because the color is thisand it's going to help with my
my solar plexus.

(37:33):
And and at that point I didn'tunderstand the consciousness of
crystals quite, quite the same, even though I had been
communicating with crystals forquite some time, I didn't
realize quite the, how intensethe personalities were with them
and how they worked.

(37:55):
Reiki really helped clear thatup for me and working with that
divine energy.
That showed me that theconsciousness of those crystals
was much more expansive thanwhat I ever understood.
And so then when I knew ofMichael and L'Oreal in Sedona,
Arizona, and the classes thatshe taught and that she was

(38:18):
working with the Lemurianenergies, I knew that I had to
take that.
And so I really didn't learn alot new.
I was able to connect with theenergies and honestly my, that
experience, I'm sorry, at thattime she would teach the
introductory class and theintermediate class together on

(38:41):
the same week with a day break,a break in between the two
classes.
And so I.
This was very unusual for me tobe able to get the time off and
to spend that kind of money forbeing, there for five days.
And, but it was something that Ijust, I had to do.
And my experience was soprofound that it was almost

(39:06):
hallucinogenic.

Pamela (39:07):
Really?

Jay (39:09):
Yeah.
It's

Pamela (39:10):
I can see that.
I get ungrounded in in crystalshapes and ways.

Jay (39:13):
And I had prepared, I saw work with was studying Vogel
crystals, which is a veryspecific form of cut crystal and
the crystal shape.
And since I had an experiencewith faceting, I was working
faceting a a Vogel inspiredcrystal, a phantom quartz

(39:35):
crystal.
And while I was And I was doingReiki on this crystal the entire
time I was cutting it.
So I was meditating andmeditating and meditating about
this whole crystal course forweeks and weeks.
And and then also was able topay for a session for, from

(39:55):
L'Oreal.
And like I said, it was justabsolutely such a transformative
experience for me.
So yeah, I just and I was ableto, I was able to learn about
listening to the crystals andbeing much more intuitive with
the crystals.

(40:16):
And
yeah, I just, and of course, Laurel and I just really
bonded over that or with thecrystals.
And so I just have so much loveand appreciation for the work
that she did.
And, like our Reiki 1 and 2manual, it's a huge manual.
There is a lot of information inthat book.

(40:38):
If we were to do it, teach aclass and went over everything,
we would have a class that wouldbe probably four weeks long
every day.
We taught, so the informationitself when we're teaching isn't
as important as connecting ourstudents with the energies.

(40:59):
of the content.
Which is one of the reasons whywe don't share the symbols with
students because it's not somuch being able to recognize
this, the symbol.
They need to have the connectionto the energy of the symbol and
that, that's what's important.
And so that's something I thinkany class that we teach is

(41:20):
connecting with the energy andteaching from the energy.
Which I love to do.
And every class is so different.
Oh my gosh.

Pamela (41:28):
It, I think that the classes meet the students where
they're at, right?
And yeah.
And so I agree with you.
I think every class is differentfor that very reason.
And even when I go and take aclass a second time, the exact
same class, exact same teacher,I'm not in the same place, so
the class meets me in adifferent place.

(41:48):
So yeah, I love teaching.
I've discovered that's my big Iam.
Because I learn.
I learn from teaching.
You learn every time, if youwant.
Every time.
I have had a theory, and that'swhy I have taught horseback
riding lessons and horsemanshipand had people to train horses
for so many years is that if youwant to learn something really
well, teach it.
It's going to push you to reallylearn.

(42:10):
So tell me a little bit aboutthe Reiki, the crystal classes
themselves, Jay.
I'd love to, you've reallypiqued my interest.
I'd love to learn more.

Jay (42:22):
So first of all I'd like in the introductory class.
You're learning a few layouts towork with clients, which are
really important.
But you're also learning how toconnect with the stones at a
much deeper level, which I couldgo and I could take a bunch of

(42:43):
crystals and I could have, layyou on a table and I could just
lay out a, throw a bunch ofrocks around you.
And yes, there would be anenergetic connection that would
be, would happen there.
There would be a shift in thechange in the energy.
But, if I take those crystalsand I energetically place them

(43:05):
mindfully in different places, and I'm anchoring the energies
mindfully, it's a very differentexperience.
And it's also learning anappreciation to Mother Earth.
which is, comes in with thatconnection with the animal Reiki
and and then understanding andworking with the authenticity of

(43:30):
the crystals themselves andunderstanding and appreciate the
cost of removing those crystalsfrom the earth.

Pamela (43:40):
So

Jay (43:40):
sometimes there's a sadness with some of these crystals and
working with how they wereremoved from the earth.
So there's a lot of work justenergetically working with and
developing connection with thecrystals in that introductory
class.
It's not just learning how toplace the stones, it's making an

(44:02):
energetic connection with thecrystals.
The intermediate class, we alsowill learn additional layouts as
well there.
But then we'll also spend oneentire day just working with
Vogel crystal healing, which isa very unique energy, and

(44:22):
working with the crystals thathave been cut to very specific
angles.
Okay.
And that can be very powerful and because they are
resonating with in a verydifferent frequencies.
Again, this, we talked about inclass, the crystals vibrate at
very specific frequencies.

(44:44):
We know that scientifically.
Yes.
And that's why we are talking on Zoom.
Yes.
Because
of
crystals.
Our crystals are, the crystalliquid displays.
Yes.
Marcel Vogel, the founder of the crystal, the Vogel
crystal, developed the firstcrystal, liquid crystal display.

(45:06):
in the 60s.
They just didn't know how to useit.
Because there was no applicationthere at that time.
We just had printers that wereour display.
We didn't even have, display.
So there, there's so much thatThat the technology and the
vibrations of the crystals thatwe get to learn and understand.

(45:28):
The advanced class just actuallytakes us to a little bit deeper
level of, in my opinion, of theLemurian connections.
Connecting with the The originsof that peaceful society,
there's Lemuria from what myconnection is that this was a,
is a society that was all aboutpeace and holistically together.

(45:53):
There, there was not conflict inthat society.
It was very powerful.
It was all about healing andtransformation.
There was no ego in, in Lemuria.
And that's the connection that Imake.
And then we also talk aboutthat, how to teach from an
energetic presence from thatclass.

(46:15):
I've had, so I've had studentsin classes, in crystal classes,
that are in a hurry to play.
Okay, because they're in theirmind, I've got to place this
crystal, I've got to get this, and I want to go, No stop.
It's, they say it's not aboutthe destination of where you get
to, but the journey.

(46:36):
It's the same thing in placingcrystals.
It's the journey of placing thecrystals, making that energetic
connection that's important.
Sometimes, and that comes withpractice, that comes with just
practice and work.

Pamela (46:51):
I want to just go back to Lemuria because just
intuitively on my own I think Igot a very similar, Lemuria is.
It's something I was curiousabout but not, not so curious
that I did a lot of research, but when I was working on a past
life offering that I offered tomy students a few years ago, I

(47:13):
got very clear messages thatLemuria was basically a place
without duality.
And so that therefore makes itsimilar to what we talk about as
third heaven with our holy fire.
And we know that it's possibleto bring that third heaven, very
peaceful type of existence hereto the planet, and to live

(47:34):
within it even amidst theduality.
But the message I got, and Idon't know if This resonates
with what you heard, Jay, wasthat because time is a human
construct and it's just to helpus understand, everything is
actually all happening at thesame time and time is something
that helps us understand ourdevelopment.

(47:56):
But I just saw that for many ofus, Lemuria is a maybe it's
called, it's similar, maybe it'swhat would be considered the
Garden of Eden or something likethat.
But for many of us, it was a wayto get used to a physical
existence outside of duality.
And then we chose to then stepinto the duality.

(48:18):
So for many of us, it was afirst lifetime is what I was
shown.
So I don't know.

Jay (48:25):
Because I believe in my Just my own intuition is that
Lumeria existed in part of thecreation of the planet.

Pamela (48:37):
Exactly.
Exactly.

Jay (48:38):
And, but yet it's still, it's a dimension versus this, a
physical place perhaps.
And so it's a dimension thathappens currently in the present
and the past all at the sametime.
Exactly.

Pamela (48:58):
And it's almost like it exists within a Bermuda Triangle
or something where we can't seeit, but it's there.
But I did get that it wasphysical.
And

Jay (49:07):
so I, yeah, so that just reminded me of a thing that
happened in one of Lorell'sclasses.
Now, Lorell is a master teacher, and so she's, can handle lots of
different situations.
She's I actually had a studentthat would, all kinds of little
different things and she hadspirit, would work with her,

(49:27):
and, I, I told you that I was inthat particular five days of
being there I was in thisenergetic state that I've never
been in since.
Ah, OK.
But
she, you know I think this was the second class but she was
talking about Lumeria in theclass, and she said she goes,

(49:53):
and some people believe thatLumeria was destroyed.
And I channeled an energy, anentity came out of me, and this
voice came out of me that said,no, it's not.
It wasn't me speaking.

Pamela (50:12):
I believe it still exists.
No, it's not.
And It is.
I do believe.
And the rail

Jay (50:18):
just looks and goes Okay, then.
She was delightful.
And I'm looking around like, where did that even come from?
And so yeah I've also, peopletalk about Atlantis.
And a lot of the knowledge andthis is just my perceptions.

(50:41):
Again, it's a lot of theknowledge and basis of the
energies and that poweredAtlantis came from the knowledge
of
Lumerium,
but it was, but those energies were get moved into a
dualistic society.
I've always thought that

Pamela (51:00):
Atlantis was, had duality.

Jay (51:04):
Very much.
And that was its downfall.
And and they were, they took alot of what made Atlantis so
powerful was they were using theprinciples of the power that was
from Lemuria and those energeticprinciples.
And but they polluted it in manydifferent ways.
And that, that was, to me, that, that's what its downfall was.

(51:27):
And I've got lots of storiesthat I've intuitively connected
to.
So yeah,

Pamela (51:36):
hear that our Lemuria story that,

Jay (51:39):
yeah, it just so I've just, I have so much appreciation for
just those little awarenessesand cause it helps understand
our purpose in life and what wecan, what we are and what we can
accomplish.
We can accomplish so much morethan what.
We what a lot of times we evenimagine, and it's important for

(52:00):
us to be able to think beyondour current situation, and
that's really extremelyimportant.
Lemurian quartz crystals.
Now, that's just a name.
I don't necessarily believethose crystals exist.
quartz crystals came fromspecifically from Lemuria.

Pamela (52:20):
But

Jay (52:20):
I love working with those two types of crystals.

Pamela (52:23):
They feel really neat, don't they?

Jay (52:25):
They just feel that they have so much infinite wisdom
within them the styrations andthe energies within them.
Because I believe they, thesecrystals so I was able to
present on crystals at theInternational Reiki Retreat and
Within these crystals, theyactually have the vibrations of

(52:46):
the creation of earth.
And then you think about theyactually hold

Pamela (52:51):
that very vibration.
Even every rock that I pick upon the beach, I'm like, how old
are you?
What have you seen?

Jay (53:01):
And elements of those crystals are from the very, were
formed from creation itself.

Pamela (53:09):
That's right.
They were present for the BigBang.

Jay (53:14):
And before.

Pamela (53:16):
And our body is made of the earth.
And I, I often take this back, even scientifically, if you
think about it.
You started off as a sperm andan egg, that came together to
form an ovum, but that ovum hadto grow and it grew as your
mother ate food that was grownin the earth, as tiny seeds were

(53:37):
placed in the earth and theearth goes into those seeds and
becomes carrots and spinach andjust all of the wonderful.

Jay (53:45):
And what holds us up?
We have a crystalline structure.
Our bone structures arecrystalline.
I didn't

Pamela (53:52):
know that.

Jay (53:53):
Yeah.

Pamela (53:54):
I didn't know that, Jay.

Jay (53:56):
It's mineral.
You think about our bones are amineral.

Pamela (53:59):
Mineral.
And so then think about the bodyand the bones.
They all grew as our mother andthen later us as we ate food
that came from the earth.
I think quite often one of thethings that that I say in prayer
and it came from Colleen Benallyis our bodies are made of the
earth to give our spirit.
Life and breath.

(54:20):
And, but even if you take it toscience, they are made of the
earth, which is made of thecrystals.
Exactly.
Yeah.
It just, it's amazing.

Jay (54:29):
So as we learning through classes and coursework we can
improve our lives and we canimprove our lives of our clients
as we have those a little bitbetter understanding and we're
able to use and connect withspiritual energies that govern
these principles.
I think it's very transformativefor our students when they can

(54:51):
make those connections.
I

Pamela (54:53):
love that.
Jay, before you lead us in ameditation today I'm wondering,
I'd like to give people myfavorite tip with crystals, and
if you would too, I always letcrystals choose me.
And so rather than say, Oh, Ineed such and such, I'm going,
and I love wearing crystals.

(55:14):
I love giving Reiki to crystalsand receiving back.
I use crystals in my crystalReiki grid.
And but When I, I love crystalstores, I love them, but when I
go into a crystal store, I justusually look around, and there's
often something that just looksa little brighter than the rest.

(55:35):
It might be a tiny little thing, not big or spectacular.
And I just know, oh, That's theone I need right now.
And what I've loved to do isthen I take it home or my
favorite crystal shop.
It closed, but I used to go inand they had a crystal Bible
right there and the book, thecrystal Bible.

(55:57):
And I would say, Oh, this iswhat I'm needing today.
Do you mind looking it up so Ican read the properties?
And we would look it up and sureenough, the properties were dead
on exactly what I needed at thattime.
So what's one of your favoritetips?

Jay (56:13):
My, I think the one tip that I think is resonating with
me is Understanding that I mayhave purchased a crystal and I
may have spent a lot of money ondifferent crystals.
I am, do not own the crystals.

(56:34):
And so I am blessed with theirpresence and I did, at one point
I had a significant theft andhad a lot of crystals stolen.
Guess what?
I still connected with thosecrystals.
Were those crystals tarnished inany way?

(56:56):
No.
They weren't mine.
And I have lent crystals topeople.
I had this one person, it was ahospice client.
It was a parent, or a child of aparent that was on hospice.
And I lent them this crystal.
They go, Oh, Jay, because whatare we going to do about that
crystal?
And I go, What crystal?

(57:18):
I totally forgot.
That's good.
If I can't remember it.
It must be meant for you.
So it's, so that, I think that'sthe biggest thing to understand
is that these are wonderfultools, friends, consciousness,
that are here to help us.
And They some of the smallestcrystals are going to be very,

(57:39):
like you were mentioning, can beextremely powerful for us, but I
really truly don't own them.
They belong to the earth, theybelong to Mother Earth, and I
may be blessed to work with themand have them in my life, but
they they're not herepermanently

Pamela (57:58):
for

Jay (57:58):
me.

Pamela (57:59):
There's I noticed that there are some crystals that I'm
meant to work with.
for a certain length of time.
And then I'm also aware that,oh, our time together is done.
And I either give them away tosomebody who could use them or
give them back to the earth.
And one of my favorite thingsthat I love to do is, and I

(58:21):
always ask the crystal, what doyou want?
What do you want?
Are you right?
Yeah, exactly.
Want to go back to the earth?
Do you want to be given to astudent, a friend, a client or
do you want to go in the streamand spread some of the love and
Reiki that we've built togetherput that into the waters.
And so there's a lovely ceremonythat I like to do where I place

(58:45):
it in the hidden brook of myfarm, Hidden Brook Farm, and
knowing that all streams, Go tothe rivers, all rivers go to the
ocean and then the water goes upinto the atmosphere and comes
back down onto the earth again.
So there's the opportunity forthose crystals to send love and
Reiki along their entire journeyor entire path.

(59:06):
I

Jay (59:07):
had a friend many years ago that again, this is before I
knew anything about Reiki.
And they told me that, They hadthese beautiful crystals and
they'd spent a lot of money downsome of these crystals.
And as part of it, a gratitudeceremony, it took them deep into

(59:27):
the ocean.
We were swimming out in theocean and then released them
into the ocean.
And I was going, no, my gosh.
So that, because that was beforea lot of my understanding, and
now I used to see how beautifulthat was.
Oh, wow.
And one of the things that on that first trip to Ecuador
Karen Keg and I were given abeautiful crystal orb, and we

(59:52):
were released into LagunaCoacocha, which is a crater lake
up there, and it was just such abeautiful experience.

Pamela (01:00:00):
I love it.
I love it.
Jay, could I ask you to lead usin a meditation to just help us
connect maybe with the crystalsthat are already in our lives,
or maybe the crystals that willbe coming.

Jay (01:00:12):
Will be coming.
And so okay we have about 10minutes.
Yeah.
Okay, so let's go ahead and everyone just take a couple of
deep breaths in and out.
And in this moment, I want youto connect with the beautiful
energies of gratitude.

(01:00:35):
Because with the more talkingabout Mother Earth, the energies
of Mother Earth, I personallyhave so much gratitude for what
she has blessed us with.
She's created this beautifulplanet that has abundance of
food for us.

(01:00:56):
to help us grow.
And then she's also birthedmagnificent, beautiful works of
art through rocks and crystals.
As you breathe in gratitude, andas you exhale, I want you to
exhale anything that's no longerserving you.

(01:01:22):
Breathe in gratitude, exhaleanything that's no longer
serving you, being repurposed.
So Mother Earth is a naturalrecycler.
And she helps us to recycle ourenergies.
So as we're breathing in thatgratitude, she's giving us

(01:01:42):
beautiful insights into ourlife.
And as we exhale out, we'reexhaling out, emptying our
recycle bin, and she'srepurposing those energies.
And as we connect with theenergies of Mother Earth, we

(01:02:07):
feel that beautiful connectioncoming up through the bottoms of
our feet.
She connects and sends us to thebeauties of actual creation
itself.

(01:02:33):
And when that creation itself, there's a beautiful light, that
spark of actual creation, that'sin each one of us.
And often, we neglect thatspark, and we fail to see that

(01:02:54):
spark, but we also have theability to hold a crystal which
contains that spark as well.
I want you to connect now withthat spark of creation, and
realize that each crystal wascreated intentionally.

(01:03:23):
Divine beings didn't haphazardlycreate crystalline energy, but
each crystal formation was doneintentionally with brothers and
sisters in the light workingwith these energies and
frequencies.
that help sustain the life andenergy of our planet.

(01:03:48):
When we can connect with theselife force energies of the
crystalline natures, we arerefining our energies.
Then using our connection to theReiki energies of the divine, we
are furthering, expanding thoseenergies and those frequencies.

(01:04:17):
Breathe in now, That refinedenergy, and now I want you, as
you exhale, I want you to exhaleexponentially energies out, and
you're recycling energies in andout through your breath.

(01:04:41):
As you're doing this, you areexpanding energetically.
You're working as a transformerthat's holding space of this
beautiful Reiki energy and theenergies of the crystals That
work as resistors, are able totransmit energies at long

(01:05:08):
distances and hold energies andfrequencies for long periods of
time.
Continue to connect, feel thevibration of the crystalline
core of the planet.

(01:05:38):
These vibrations knew you longbefore you were ever created.
Knew your energetic presence andyour footprint.
Knew of your plan and yourdestiny even as the earth was

(01:06:00):
formed.
Realize that each one of us hasan energetic footprint just like
the crystals do.
Our energetic aura shines outinto the universe for eternity.

(01:06:30):
All of our thoughts All of ourintentions affect the entire
universe.
And as we become mastered by theenergies of Reiki, we're able to

(01:06:51):
modulate these energies, oftenwith crystals, to help us to
stay connected to the divine, tohelp us stay focused on our
purpose in the creation of thisplanet, and to understand the
principles that sometimes areunique to each one of us.

(01:07:18):
We all have different purposes.
But we are all just asimportant.
At this time, we offer a prayerof gratitude for not only the
crystals, but for each of usthat are participating in this

(01:07:40):
meditation.
It's just like these beautiful, wonderful crystals.
We are all part of creation.
Our existence is extremelyvaluable and essential to Mother

(01:08:02):
Earth.
The crystal and energies arebrothers and sisters.
to our soul consciousness.
And energetically, we have beenreconnecting with these energies
of this planet for eons of time.

(01:08:30):
Breathe in, breathe out.
As you connect with Mother Earthdeeper and deeper, the
crystalline core, you realizethat you are being guided by

(01:08:53):
specific Lemurian frequencies.
These may be brothers andsisters in the light who have a
certain amount of important workthat working with the Lemurian
frequencies and energies and aredivinely connected with you as

(01:09:17):
you feel their divine presence.
Just recognize that they arehere to help you on your journey
and that all we have to do isenergetically connect with them
and ask and they'll be with usin our journey to help us to be
co creators.
and a beautiful planet and thatwe can make a difference as we

(01:09:43):
honor the principles of MotherEarth, the principles and peace
of Lemuria, the frequencies ofLemuria.
As you breathe deep in and out, stay connected to the universe.

(01:10:04):
With your own energeticfrequencies and connected with
energies of the crystalline coreof the planet, I want you to
feel your essence full of thevibrations.
Feel the vibrations flowingthrough you.

(01:10:29):
Look into your future andrealize There are multiple
person potential for you, andyou have purpose in your life.

(01:10:51):
Take a couple of deep breaths, start to relax, and as we start
to come back, we offer gratitudefor the crystalline energies,
and for Mother Earth, and forall the gifts that she's given
us.
Come back now, feeling yourselfstart to ground, grounding and

(01:11:16):
connecting deeper and deeper, becoming more conscious, and as
you're ready, go ahead and openyour eyes, and again in a prayer
of gratitude.
And so it is.

Pamela (01:11:31):
And so it is.

Jay (01:11:43):
So with these types of experiences, they're always very
different.
I don't miss, don't use,typically use a script for these
journeys and just see whatspirit brings up.
And so it's always interestingto, to find how important each
one of us are.
Each one of us, we see a crystalrock, we go like that.

(01:12:06):
Guess what Mother Earth sees us.
She goes just like that too.
It's just as important toremember that each one of us are
that important.
Sometimes in our lives.
Because we're in this dualisticworld, we forget that.
We forget how important we are,and that we make a difference.

(01:12:28):
How we choose to energeticallyconnect with the world, we make
a difference.
And we can change, we do changethis world.
just with our consciousness.
And the crystals want to help uswork with that.

Pamela (01:12:46):
Jay, thank you so much for taking the time to be here
with us today.
And just thank you for all thework that you do.
It's amazing.
And I also want to thank eachand every listener.
I think just as Jay said, Youmake a difference on this planet
just by being you.
So thank you for being thebeautiful light that you are in

(01:13:10):
the world.
Never forget how important youare and we love you.
