and a dash of nostalgia.

mixtape?
Well, we're here to make yourspiritual playlist even better.
Join us as we explore scripture, laugh a little and rediscover
the power of a renewed mindset.
(00:26):
Don't conform, transform.
Welcome back to RenewedMindsets.
I'm Rick and I'm so glad you'rehere Today.
I'm going to jump into somethingthat's powerful and timely.
It's the prophecies concerningthe second coming of Jesus,
(00:50):
what's been fulfilled and whatit means for us today.
Now, jesus told his disciplesin Matthew 24-36, but about that
day or hour no one knows, noteven the angels in heaven, nor
the Son, but only the Father.
Yet he also gave us signs towatch for, signs that would
(01:11):
indicate his return is drawingnear.
So let's explore some of theseprophecies and see how they're
being fulfilled in our time.
Now, the first thing we'regoing to kind of hit on is the
increase in knowledge.
Now, the first thing we'regoing to kind of hit on is the
increase in knowledge.
In Daniel 12 4, it says manyshall run to and fro and
knowledge shall increase.
(01:31):
Now think about the incredibleadvancements in travel, from
horses and carts to airplanesand rockets.
And knowledge has exploded.
We carry entire libraries inour pockets with our smartphone.
In just the past hundred years,we've gone from basic,
(01:53):
rudimentary automobiles toself-driving cars, and from
handwritten letters to instantglobal communication through
video calls, to instant globalcommunication through video
calls.
The rapid growth in fields likeartificial intelligence and
(02:14):
medicine and space explorationaligns precisely with Daniel's
prophecy.
Another one is global evangelism.
In Matthew 24, 14, jesus saidthis gospel of the kingdom will
be preached in the whole worldas a testimony to all nations,
and then the end will come.
Technology has made thispossible like never before.
(02:35):
Through radio and television, social media podcasts like this
one, the word of God is reachingeven the most remote corners of
the earth, and there'sorganizations like the Wycliffe
Bible Translators.
They're tirelessly working totranslate Scripture into every
(02:56):
language, ensuring that nopeople group is left unreached
left unreached.
The growth of online ministriesand church services that are
live-streamed has expandedaccess to the gospel so far
beyond traditional boundaries.
I know you've been hearing thatone for years, even the one
(03:19):
before it.
Here's one that a lot of peoplejust refuse to hear.
It's the rebirth of Israel, nowone of the most significant
prophecies has already beenfulfilled.
In Ezekiel 37, there's aprophecy with the vision of the
dry bones coming to life.
Right, the Bible indicated thatIsrael would be regathered from
(03:43):
all nations.
The Bible indicated that Israelwould be regathered from all
nations, a reality that we'vewitnessed in modern history.
Yeah, isaiah 66.8 says Can acountry be born in a day or a
nation be brought forth in amoment?
Well, on May 14, 1948, thatprophecy came true, as Israel
(04:11):
declared independence and theJewish people returned to their
homeland.
Yeah, that's been happening.
We're going to talk more aboutthat date later.
Well, now let's talk about moraldecline and lawlessness.
In 2 Timothy 3, 1-5, pauldescribed the last days as a
time when people would be loversof themselves, disobedient to
parents, without self-control,and lovers of pleasure rather
(04:34):
than lovers of God.
Sadly, we see these behaviorsnormalized in our culture today,
from the breakdown oftraditional family values to the
glorification of immorality andentertainment.
The world is witnessing anerosion of biblical principles.
Now, this moral decline wasforetold as a hallmark of the
(04:57):
end times.
Then you got wars, famines andearthquakes.
Jesus warned in Matthew 24, 6and 7 of wars, famines and
earthquakes.
In various places, naturaldisasters are occurring with
greater frequency and intensity.
Wars and conflicts areconsistently making headlines.
(05:20):
These signs remind us to stayvigilant.
Headlines.
These signs remind us to stayvigilant and, according to data
from geological surveys,no-transcript Global conflicts
continue to dominateinternational news.
Here's a big one that'shappening.
(05:42):
If you're watching the news, ifyou're paying attention.
The Bible predicts that a thirdtemple will be built in
Jerusalem.
You can see that in Daniel 9.27, matthew 24.15, and 2
Thessalonians 2-4, chapter 2,verse 4.
Now this temple is necessaryfor the fulfillment of all
(06:05):
end-time events, including theappearance of the Antichrist.
Who's going to desecrate it Now?
In recent years, preparationshave intensified.
The Temple Institute inJerusalem has already crafted
most of the sacred itemsrequired for temple worship, and
discussions about the temple'sreconstruction are going on.
(06:26):
Right now they're preparing tomake sacrifices on the altar.
The altar's done.
Another one, of course.
It's a rise in one worldgovernment and economy.
Tell me you're watching thenews now.
Revelation 13 speaks of a timewhen the global authority Will
(06:48):
control commerce and governanceand the emergence of digital
currencies.
Global alliances, internationalgoverning bodies Are going to
foreshadow this prophecy.
The concept of a cashlesssociety is no longer science
fiction With the rise of centralbank, digital currencies and
(07:08):
biometric payment methods.
The infrastructure for aunified global system is being
laid.
We just got a couple more.
I know I'm not getting deep inthese.
I'm trying to give you someinformation.
Another one persecution ofChristians worldwide.
Jesus warned in Matthew 24,then you will be handed over and
(07:32):
be persecuted and put to deathand you will be hated by all
nations.
Because of me, christianpersecution has been
intensifying, especially inparts of Asia and Africa and the
Middle East.
There's organizations like OpenDoors that report that millions
of believers face harassmentand imprisonment and even
(07:54):
martyrdom for their faith everyyear.
This is the one we need tolisten to and this is something
that we're going to talk moreabout in future episodes.
The emergence of the Laodiceanchurch.
Revelation 3, 14, 22 describesthe Laodicean church as lukewarm
(08:16):
, neither hot nor cold church,as lukewarm, neither hot nor
cold.
Now many scholars associate therise of this church age with
events in 1967, particularlyafter the Six-Day War, when
Jerusalem was recaptured.
This event marked a significantshift in the global
Christianity, with many churchesbecoming more focused on
(08:39):
comfort and material prosperitythan on spiritual truth.
The church of an opinion, yeah, and comfort and prosperity.
Does that sound familiar?
Jesus warns in Revelation 3.16,.
So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I'm about
(09:04):
to spit you out of my mouth.
The rise of the prosperity, gospel teachings, spiritual
apathy, doctrinal compromisethey're characteristics that we
see today, just as Scriptureforetold.
So what do we do with thisknowledge?
(09:25):
Jesus gave us these signs notto cause fear, but to spur us
into faith and action.
Luke 21-28 says when thesethings begin to take place,
stand up and lift up your heads, because redemption is drawing
near.
We need to commit to livingeach day with urgency, not in
(09:49):
anxiety, but in a deep, abidingtrust in the Lord.
We need to share the gospel, weneed to love one another and we
need to stay rooted in God'sword.
Jesus is coming soon, people.
The end is near Now.
(10:09):
This episode that we justlistened to.
It's got good information.
It's good for reflection andanticipation, but it's also one
of transition.
For the past year and a half, this podcast has been a place
where we Friends, family, gen Xbelievers have explored
(10:32):
scripture through a nostalgiclens.

applying biblical wisdom for ourlives.
Today, we've renewed ourmindsets.
But, after much prayer andseeking the Lord, I believe that
it's time for renewed mindsetsto take a new direction.
