Does redemption happen all at once, or is it a process? And is there anything we can do to help that process along?

Hanoch Young would tell you that it is a process, and there are some things we should do as this process moves forward. That’s why he has just completed his twenty-eighth speaking trip to the United States since 2013, and why he ascends the Har Habayit – the Temple Mount – every week to pray at ...

The people of God should be doing the things of God. Messiah Yeshua put it this way: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." How do we do that? What exactly are his commandments? How are Yeshua's commandments different from the commandments Moses gave? Barry Phillips and David Jones have some thoughts on these questions.

Yeshua said he would seek and save that which is lost. What about those he has already found? Does he stop looking after them when they are safely in the fold, or is that when he is best able to see to their needs? This is one line of thought in the conversation Barry Phillips and David Jones share about Elul, the month when "the King is in the field."

Boundaries are important. We expect others to respect our boundaries, whether that means our personal space or our property lines. That's one way we are like our Creator. So what are His boundaries, and how do we respect them? These are questions Barry Phillips and David Jones discuss in this conversation.

Even a casual reader of the New Testament notices that the writers refer to passages from the Old Testament, or Tanakh. That means Paul and his contemporaries were aware of what Moses and the Prophets wrote, but did they have a deeper purpose and pattern in their writing that goes beyond simple quotations and references?

This is the line of thinking that motivated Bob O’Dell and his colleagues to look for patterns, or echoes, ...

In the Proverbs we read that we're supposed to train up our children in the way they should go. If that means teaching them God's ways, then what do we do when God's ways clash with the world's ways? That's what David Jones and Barry Phillips investigate in this conversation.

When we want to know the connection between the Levitical priesthood and the redemptive work of Messiah Yeshua, we might go to the book of Hebrews. Bob O’Dell, however, would suggest looking at the primary source, which is the book of Leviticus. Bob draws the connection between the commandments about priestly households in Leviticus, and Paul’s essay on God’s restored household in Romans. That’s one of many ...

Is the New Testament a midrash on the Torah? Bob O’Dell suggests that’s one way to look at it. That’s an observation that has grown out of his work with The Echoes Bible, which uncovers the connections of New Testament writings with the works of Moses. As Bob explains, since Jewish scholars have been midrashing – discussing, theorizing, and postulating – on the Torah for centuries, it stands to reason ...

What does salvation have to do with Israel’s return from exile to their ancestral homeland? What does Messiah have to do with the distinction between clean and unclean animals? Those are among the questions addressed in this third part of our conversation with Bob O’Dell about The Echoes Bible. Is it possible that the Apostle Paul intentionally organized his letter to the Romans according to the topical outline of Leviticus? Bob O’Dell contends that Paul not only did that with Romans, but also with his other letters. That’s why he and his colleagues are publishing The Echoes Bible as a multivolume study tool to uncover these New Testament connections with the Torah! We dive into those echoes of Leviticus and R...

Is reality based on our perceptions, or is it the other way around? What do we do when our perceptions and reality don't line up? One of the items to be addressed in the Messianic age is the enmity between Christians and Jews. These are the two halves of God’s Covenant People of Israel, identifiable in scripture as Ephraim and Judah. Isaiah tells us what their reconciliation will look like:

The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart,
and those who harass Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah,
and Judah shall not harass Ephraim....
