VOICEOVER (00:01):
Everybody's got an opinion, Every Californian and Virginian, It's so hard to tell who to trust and who to ignore, Someone's gotta settle the score., Trey and Chelsey will help you choose, Whose views win which ones lose, Online haters are coming for you, Baby, it's time to Review That Review!

TREY GERRALD (00:31):
Hello, hello, and welcome to Review That Review.
We are the podcast that is dedicated to reviewing
reviews.
That is Chelsey Donn.
And that is Trey Gerald.
But why don't you just call us the Review Queens.

(00:52):
That's

CHELSEY DONN (00:55):
right.
But first, Trey, We havesomething very important to do.
Would you like to?
Glad you complaint.

TREY GERRALD (01:02):
Why, yes, I would.
Alright, I today need to talkabout this phenomenon that has bothered me since I was a young kid.
And that is why does having your back scratchedfeel so good, but you can't do it on your own?
Why is self back scratching sucha disappointment and a letdown?

(01:23):
I hate it.
My mom used to when I was a little kid,she would scratch my back with her really long nails as I was going to sleep.
And so like, I love that sensation.
It's very comforting to me.
And I can't do it to myself, obviously.
And I'm married to a man wholike doesn't have long nails.
So, like, and he, like, his wrist getstoo tired too quickly and he can't do it.

(01:44):
So, so I can't do it myself.
And then if you get a back scratcher, like, something about, like, the movement of, like, having to do your elbow, like, really messes up the sensation, too.
That just reminded me of the shake weight.
Um, like, it, it, it doesn't work.
And, like, even, like, massage chairs.
I mean, that's different.
That's a massage, not a scratch.

(02:05):
But, like, Even like a massage chair or anapparatus doesn't feel the same as human hands.
Like, I keep seeing all of these likeTikToks for like these, um, like massage, like bed things where it's like robots that are doing it's like eliminating humans.
But like, to me, I'm like, that can't feel good.
Like, I guess the Theraguns are awhole thing, but it doesn't matter.

(02:29):
Back to backscratching.
Why does a backscratcher notcompete with fingernails?
I hate it.
I hate that I can't justself stimulate the sensation.
I'm dependent on The kindness of a stranger, preferably not a stranger, Can you imagine just

CHELSEY DONN (02:48):
going up to a stranger and, Scratch me, I'm so sorry, Will you scratch me?,
I have needs, Um, emotional needs,And they include you scratching my back, Is that weird?, Have you

TREY GERRALD (02:57):
ever, Have you ever encountered this situation?, Do you know what I'm talking about?,

CHELSEY DONN (03:02):
Oh, for sure.
I mean, I think the reason that the backscratcherdoesn't work as well as like a human hand doing it is the same reason why one of those fans that you have to like shake it yourself is not as good as an automatic fan because I got to do the work.
So I'm like exerting energy trying to fan myself.
I'm getting all heated.

(03:23):
I'm all like hot and bothered and itchy.
It's sort of similar.
And then I got to get more hot and botheredWith the backscratcher, I mean, it's better than nothing, and I definitely have one, and I've been there and needed it, but it's not the same, like, comforting feeling, you know?

TREY GERRALD (03:39):
No, it's definitely like a second rate solution.
I don't know what the first rate would be, like, killing people and then, like, using their hands.
Using their

CHELSEY DONN (03:47):
hands?

TREY GERRALD (03:48):
Disgusting.
Um, anyway.
Oh my god.
That's the complaint I need to lodge.

CHELSEY DONN (03:52):
Train the dogs to scratch your back?

TREY GERRALD (03:57):
Oh, oh, that's never occurred to me.
Maybe I should do that.
Is there, are there any dog trainersout there that have any tips?
Because I would be interested.
I think that,

CHELSEY DONN (04:08):
yeah, I would like to train Goldie to scratch my back.
Is that inhumane though?

TREY GERRALD (04:11):
Is that like,

CHELSEY DONN (04:12):
I mean, maybe they would get some joy out of it or I don't know.

TREY GERRALD (04:15):
We can feed them treats as payment.

CHELSEY DONN (04:18):
Yeah.
I mean, there's some, We can scratchtheir back, I scratch your back, you scratch mine, you know what I mean?

TREY GERRALD (04:23):
There's a saying there, I think I know.
Yeah, I think so.
All right, that's my complaint,we're adding it to the ledger.
Absolutely.
Well, I feel better, thankyou for that opportunity.
Of course.
Chelsey, would you like tojump into an online review?
I

CHELSEY DONN (04:39):
would love to, let's do it.

TREY GERRALD (04:41):
Okay, but before we do, If you are loving the show, be sure to hit that subscribe button, give us a like if you're having fun, and drop a comment below to let us know what made you laugh, gasp, or cringe the most.

CHELSEY DONN (04:58):
I did some faces for you.
We love hearing your thoughts.
It's totally free, obviously, and it really helpsus grow and keeps the reviews coming your way.

TREY GERRALD (05:08):
Speaking of, let's do it.

CHELSEY DONN (05:12):
Review That Review.
As your trusty review queens, we bring in internetreviews that we feel need to be inspected.

TREY GERRALD (05:23):
We take a review, we break it down, and then we rate the impact of that review on a scale from zero to five crowns.
It's a really regal process that we call,

VOICEOVER (05:34):
Assess That

TREY GERRALD (05:35):
Kvetch.
And Chelsey, I must know, whathave you secured for us today?

CHELSEY DONN (05:42):
Okay, well, I've been spending a little time on TikTok because, you know, trying to get with the, keep up with the Joneses or whatever, keep modern.
And I found this review that Ifound hilarious, about a Skims

(06:03):
like
fits everybody kind of string bikini.
Let's take a look at this first video.
It's going to give us a little bit of context.
So let's check it out.

VOICEOVER (06:13):
So if you've been eyeing the Skims micro bikini and wondering about the size, These are tortilla chips for a scale.

TREY GERRALD (06:22):
Holy small.
Yeah.
Okay.
So this is from a beauty influencer or a beautyengineer, it says, and it's just a nine second video here for all you listeners that says, if you've been curious about the size of this bikini, they've literally put like Dorito, Tostitos.
They're tortilla

CHELSEY DONN (06:41):
chips from Trader Joe's.

TREY GERRALD (06:44):
Oh my god, that's how big the cover, the material is, they're tortilla chips,

CHELSEY DONN (06:48):
like each boob and like the covering of the, the vajay area is one tortilla chip,

TREY GERRALD (06:58):
tiny,

CHELSEY DONN (06:59):
tiny, okay, so with that info in mind, let's, let's go on to this review, holy cow, so this is a TikTok review by Terry, Terry does a lot of different TikTok reviews, They call them per chases, so they make a different per chase, and then they review them for their TikTok viewers.

(07:23):
I saw this one like IRL and got a real kickout of it, so I hope you guys enjoy it.

TREY GERRALD (07:30):
Alright, and this has 5.
1 million likes.

CHELSEY DONN (07:35):
Yeah, no pressure.
And

TREY GERRALD (07:36):
1.
3 million shares.
All right, people are really sharing this.

CHELSEY DONN (07:40):
Yes.

TREY GERRALD (07:41):
Okay.
Okay.

Terri (07:44):
I've done it.
I've purchased
the Tortilla.
Set.
My own money and did you know itcomes in a 4x it doesn't look like it's gonna it's gonna cover one lip.
I Just want to remind you guys this isa part of the skims fits everybody line

(08:20):
Contrary to belief, I am wearing the bottoms!
Oh, wow!
Kim, this is for everybody!
Hello!
Oh,

TREY GERRALD (08:41):
free the nipple!
So

CHELSEY DONN (08:47):
Terry, round of applause for Terry.
Terry always does this run test whenthey're trying on like lingerie type things to see, I guess if they were running away from a zombie apocalypse or something, if the garment would hold up.
So at the end there, what you mightnot have seen if you're listening is that Terry starts doing a really rapid.

(09:14):
In place running.

TREY GERRALD (09:16):
I would say like a drill sergeant run, not a Baywatch run, Yeah, which I appreciate, I think you can learn more from the drill sergeant march than you can from Baywatch,

CHELSEY DONN (09:26):
Yeah, and needless to say, it did not survive the run test.,

TREY GERRALD (09:32):
Okay.
First of all, Terry, I'm obsessed with you.
Yes.
Follow Terry on TikTok.
They're at T E R T A A Y.
Um, I'm obsessed with the usage of purchased.
That's so funny to me.
Isn't that

CHELSEY DONN (09:48):
cute that it's like their thing?
Yeah.

TREY GERRALD (09:50):
Um, yeah.
So at first I was sort of like, Oh no, like, no,I need you to be like actually naked for this.
Because they're wearing like asports bra and like a sports shorts.
Yeah, they're wearing

CHELSEY DONN (10:03):
like a crop top and like biker shorts or something like that.

TREY GERRALD (10:07):
So I was thinking like, no, come on.
But now I see, especially with this marchingtest, you wouldn't be able to post it.
It would be too explicit because Yeah.
Free the nipple, as I said, really occurs here.
I'm obsessed with Terry's body positivity hereand how you like, literally, she calls out like, You know, contrary to popular belief, I am wearing the bottoms because you can't see it because it hides under Terry's body.

(10:39):
That's how petite, like, non existent this fabric is.
Yes.
Even without the Drill Sergeant marching, I, like,I think that, I think your boobs would fall out.
Like, I'm sensing this whole theory herethat, like, Cam Kardashian scams is like.

(11:00):
You know, to a specific body type thatthe Kardashians look like, but in order to be, you know, in 2024 land, you have to sort of be inclusive for all bodies, but like, there's no support.
It's literally elastic with atortilla chip size triangle of fabric.
So if you actually have breasts, ifyou don't have a, a cup, there's no job

CHELSEY DONN (11:26):
that's holding your boobs up.

TREY GERRALD (11:28):
Right.
Right.
Very good point.
Right.
Like,

CHELSEY DONN (11:32):
and also like, it's just one of those examples yet again, and I've been here many a time where you see the size, you're like, you know, I see Terry, Terry and I are not so different size wise, I would buy the 4X and think, like, I'm good, like, I don't even need the 4X, I'm buying the 4X because, like, I'm gonna give myself a little extra wiggle room here, and that is not a 4X,

TREY GERRALD (11:59):
no, I
mean, on

CHELSEY DONN (12:00):
whom,
on

TREY GERRALD (12:01):
whoopsed, at 29 seconds into the video, before Terry turns around, we get to see, like, the back of the g string,
and I,
I didn't realize that, Terry's probably very smart and is returning this product, uh, but they don't, they don't take the tag out, but I didn't realize that that's the tag, so like, at the little, like, triangle point, like, of the butt, like, you see the tag dangling, and I thought, That would be so uncomfortable, but now I see it's actually the tag.

(12:33):
Um, I mean, I love Terry, I'm obsessed, I, Ifind this to be outrageously valuable, I don't know that it's unique, I think it, I think it's like, important information, because the majority, of people in the world do not have these Hollywood standards of beauty.

(12:55):
So it like this is the problem withlike fashion and all of this is that you don't get representation.
There's a lot of like, I know Fashion Nova, like a lot of brands now will have plus size models, but like a real life application.
I mean, that's why these TikTok reviews are likereally seeping in value because you cannot lie.

(13:18):
You can't lie.
Like, you're seeing it with your own eyes.
Especially with this marching run test.
I mean, hilarious.

CHELSEY DONN (13:25):
Hilarious.
And also just like, again, it's not like Terryjust went on a whim and bought this product.
They are marketing this as a fits every body.

TREY GERRALD (13:39):
Body.

CHELSEY DONN (13:41):
That is how they're marketing this product.

TREY GERRALD (13:44):
I mean, it fits.
I just don't know that like, You mightas well wear this at a nude beach.
Right.
Because you're basically nude.
You're not getting any more coverage.
No,
those, no, those nipples are going to be out.
And I'm just also thinking, like, Godforbid the bottom, you know, um, like

CHELSEY DONN (14:08):
the bottom is coming off like that when she was like, contrary to popular belief, I'm wearing the bottoms and she lifted it up like that would be full vag exposure.

TREY GERRALD (14:16):
Oh, my God.
Yeah, the string would be.
It makes me think of like Vegas, like itmakes me think of like, this is what Vegas showgirls are like wearing, like underneath, like the feather boas and shit like, right?

CHELSEY DONN (14:31):
Right, like you have to be wearing something that's so narrow to, you know, to keep it from showing.

TREY GERRALD (14:38):
I mean, obviously, like, when we look at these, like, video reviews, like, the truth is in the pudding.
I don't think it's shady.
I think, I think it's cautionary.
Like, I, especially to the point ofthe marketing here, like, Terry's like, okay, I don't think that's shady.
I think you're taking the claim and you're puttingit on your real human body and the proof is there.

CHELSEY DONN (15:03):
Right.
Which is super valuable and I think you can'thelp but be truthful because we literally see Terri rip open the packaging with her teeth.

TREY GERRALD (15:13):
Yes, I love that.

CHELSEY DONN (15:16):
Spit out the plastic and put it on.
So it's not like this is manipulated in any way.
It's very clear.
We bought the product, we received theproduct, we opened the product, we tried it on and this is what it looks like.
And there's so much value there because I'vedone this many a time where I bought, I bought quote unquote shapewear and these type of things, gotten a bigger size than I even thought I needed.

(15:43):
And then I'm like, this is crazy.
This is not even come close to fitting.
So, so These kind of videosare extremely valuable.
Um, common?
I mean, I would imagine.

TREY GERRALD (15:57):
I mean, I think that when you look at the statistics of America, which like, you know, I was going to save this for my crowning, but like, I feel very, um, moved is maybe too hard of a word, but like, I really appreciate Terry's.

(16:17):
Ability to be comical in this becauseI have issues with my body, you know, it's like to put yourself out there like this and be laughing about it.

CHELSEY DONN (16:26):
It's

TREY GERRALD (16:27):
really like inspiring in a way.
Like I'm, I feel moved by that.
And the fact that she's laughing, like, she's like, come on, like makes it feel like the point is really delivered, but it doesn't feel like luxury.
It doesn't feel like.
She's trying to take me down.
It doesn't feel right.
And to me, I feel like the majority of Americanbodies look more like Terry than they do a Kardashian, which has been made by under scaffolds and all of this, that it is sort of like, yeah, I feel like this is probably typical and common, especially if you're making a 4X size.

(17:04):
This is what a 4X looks like in practice.

CHELSEY DONN (17:07):
That's right.
Yeah, and again, they're buying the 4X, soif you're a large buying the large, if you're a medium buying the medium, I would imagine you're probably going to have the same problem.

TREY GERRALD (17:20):
Yes.
Even

CHELSEY DONN (17:21):
the girl in the first video, who, as far as I'm concerned, you know, was very stereotypically thin.
I don't know.
I don't, I don't want to be like judgmentalof anybody, but like, just seem to have a
narrow frame.
Um, they were like, this is ridiculous.

(17:43):
It's, it's for a tortilla chip.
It's not for a human body.
So I think even if you weren't plus size and youwere buying this in your whatever your normal size is, you would probably still have this experience.

TREY GERRALD (17:55):
I mean, I think that that's the biggest value here is like, regardless of the size you you order, there's literally no support.
And you would be very conscious, even if youwere an A cup, and you had like, Two pounds on your body, like you would be conscious that like one quick turn and your nipples are coming out like right you like squat in a weird way the floss is going up All of your cracks.

(18:22):
Like, right.
And that, you know, there's,there is reason for that.
And there's value for that.
But like, I don't know thatI would wear this on a beach.
Like, you know, it's, it just, but this may not be for that.
Clothed beach.
No, no, I mean, but it's sexy.
I could see how, like, if you wantedthis for like, you know, a bikini, I just think that's for water things, but like, it could also be like sexy.

(18:46):
And like, yeah, I don't know.

CHELSEY DONN (18:48):
I, I don't I think I could crown.
Do we talk about the entertainment or we'vejust been sprinkling that in throughout?
I mean, clearly we were both very entertained.

TREY GERRALD (18:59):
Yes, and moved.
And moved.
Yeah.
All right, I can go into the crowning.
Alright, so, Chelsey and I each have our ownset of 0 5 crown cards, and in an effort to be fair and not influenced by one another, we will simultaneously reveal our rating.

Terri (19:16):
The Queens are tabulating.
Time

CHELSEY DONN (19:22):
for school.
Wow!
That's amazing!
Tere!
You are Review Queen, twice crowned byboth Trey and I, Trey, you go first, and I'll Why did you make Trey a review queen?

TREY GERRALD (19:36):
I mean for many reasons here and I'll just keep it light But I am sincere in the fact that I I find a lot of power in this video But it just is like it's taking the piss out of this whole marketing scheme of like for everybody which yes It is it does fit technically it's fitting her body, but like is it practical?

(19:58):
You know, I don't know.
And I just, I feel like I'm goingto go follow Terry and I'm like obsessed with this is hilarious.
And obviously the statistics prove like ithas gone viral and it's also informative.
And I think it's funny and I mean, teeny, teeny, tiny, yellow polka dot bikini girl.

(20:19):
Seriously.
But congratulations, Terri, it's a, itis a feat that has not been accomplished that many times on our show to be a unanimous, across the board, Review Queen.
Keep up the work.
Chelsey, why did you say five, Review Queen?

CHELSEY DONN (20:33):
I had to make Terri a Review Queen.
I just love the vulnerability, the willingnessto put yourself out there, the willingness to kind of take the piss out of yourself.
While also passing along reallyvaluable information, I love.
Love a good laugh.
Yep.
Terry has a great laugh.

(20:54):
Yes.
Oh, we didn't talk about laugh.
Terry has
a, we didn't even talk about the laugh, but like she, I can have a funny laugh.
Terry, has it even have funnier laugh than I do.
I love that and I just love how muchfun Terry's having doing these reviews.
It's so much more interesting to watchand to witness and I just love Terry and I had to make her a review queen, so Terry.

(21:20):
You are such a queen.
I can't wait to hopefully meet you oneday and have you on the show because doll,

TREY GERRALD (21:28):
chef's

CHELSEY DONN (21:28):
kiss, you do great work.

TREY GERRALD (21:30):
Good find, Chelsey.
Hilarious.

CHELSEY DONN (21:32):
Thanks.
Okay, Trey, we've done it.
We have reached the mostregal portion of our show.
Who are you inducting, Trey, for?
My Royal Highness.

TREY GERRALD (21:44):
Okay, so, funny that this is on this episode, because we don't discuss prior, but This is something that I sometimes carry shame about, but I'm gonna be vulnerable, like Trey.
I really want to give five stars and fivecrowns to the Domino's Marble Brownie.

(22:05):
Now, previously on the show, Chelsey andI did a live review of the Loaded Tots,

CHELSEY DONN (22:14):
yes,

TREY GERRALD (22:15):
and we also did the Chocolate Volcano Cake, and I think I mentioned how much I love the Marble Brownies, you guys.
I think what you want about Domino's,whatever, like I'm in New Jersey, New York area, like pizza is renowned here, right?
But I love Domino's and I,I love the marble brownie.

(22:37):
It is a marble of brownie and blondies together.
Oh, it's so good.
But they're there.
You have when you order it, you have toput it in the fridge right away because it's so much better when it's like cold.
I don't know why it just literally, honestly, truly does taste different.

(22:58):
It's so decadent.
It's so bad for you.
It's like, you know, it's likeall of it's fake, whatever.
But like the God, the spirits of Betty Crockermust be so happy because It is so good and I can snack on it for up to three days.
I wish it would last longer, but I eat it so fast.

(23:19):
Um, if you haven't have it, this isyour opportunity to like try something new that's bad for you, but as a treat, the Domino's Marble Brownie.
So good.
Love you so dearly.
You're a real one.
Uh, so for that reason, I am inductingDomino's Marble Brownie as my Royal Highness.
I love

CHELSEY DONN (23:39):
that.
The spirit of Betty Crocker and I agree, Trey.
What a good induction.
You've had it, right?
No, I've never had it.
I've never had it.

TREY GERRALD (23:52):
Okay, well, all right, we'll fix that.
One day,

CHELSEY DONN (23:54):
we'll have to do it.
We'll have to try it together.

TREY GERRALD (23:55):
You have something to look forward to, girl.

CHELSEY DONN (23:57):
Oh my god.
I can't, I love, I love having thingsto look forward to, so, can't wait.

TREY GERRALD (24:02):
Well, here's another thing.
We did it, Queen!
That's another round on theRUARQ Ferris Wheel of Tortillas.

CHELSEY DONN (24:10):
Thank you for joining us today.
If you like what you heard, Orwatch, please, tell a friend.

TREY GERRALD (24:16):
And if you didn't like what you heard or watched, tell an enemy.
On this week's After Show Pod, Chelsey andI, here we go, God knows I love a theme, we are going to be rating and reviewing a one star Amazon review for USAGA.

(24:36):
You Saga, 32 fingers, Head Massager,Head Scratcher, Scalp Massager, for head, body, relaxing, wood handle, one pack.

CHELSEY DONN (24:49):
Wow, I was actually going to bring that up at the top of the show when you were talking about the back scratcher.
I felt it.
I felt it.
Did you feel it?
I felt it.
I held back, but I was like, that kind of feels nice.
All right.
Well, I wonder why this was said.
You know what?
I bought my migraines.

TREY GERRALD (25:06):

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

On Purpose with Jay Shetty

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
