(00:00):
Yeah, Hi there, Detroit Wheels. Hey, Doug, Joe and Christina,
Hey, all right, Christina,Chris and Joey Fava from Collido.
The heck are you guys busy asbees lately? Every time I open up
Facebook, you're rocking out somewhere.Yes, sir, we're getting ready to
go on Monsters of Rock crews. We're leaving on Thursday, so we're getting

(00:22):
all prepared for that. Yeah,I saw that. That is a well,
I guess they name that one right, the Monsters of Rock. I
mean, the list just is endlessof the bands that are going to be
on there, Joe Satriani, AceFreeley, Winger, Quiet Riot, I
mean, kk's priest. I justsaw Glenn Hughes too. He's great and

(00:45):
yeah, I'm actually, dude,I'm more excited for him than almost anybody.
He's doing the Deep Purple Burn record. I guess that's yeah. Yeah,
I'm like ecstatic about that. Yeah, he he just did that,
and uh, you know who i'dlike to see actually is a pro Wine.
To tell you the truth, Ithought I was still Afraible line as
well, So I one for themand I love the darkness as well.
It's gonna be really really cool man. This is really a mashup of so

(01:08):
many different genres of rock. Andof course Colido congratulations on that you guys.
So you leave Thursday. Now,have you guys done cruises before,
Yes, we have. We've doneship Rocks Cruise and the Kiss Cruise.
Oh wow, this will be ourfirst time on months is a rock.
But now, did you have trouble? You know, did you get sick

(01:30):
or anything? You know, Onething, guys, I've never been on
a cruise because and everybody tells me, oh, Doug, you'll be fine.
You don't even know you're on thewater. But I just have a
feeling that, you know, I'mgonna get sick and I'm going to wreck
the whole trip, you know.So you know, honestly, I thought
the same thing when we were goingto go on the first ship Rock.
We did. So I got thoselittle patches what do they call it,

(01:53):
the behind your earing I'm talking about. I don't know they're called exactly,
but drama. So we got thosepatches and I didn't even need a year
that I was fine. But everybody'sdifferent, and I think also, like
we did the Kiss Creuse one yearin the water, the first night was
insanely We're getting thrown around the room, and like it was, it matters
kind of like the water to chop. You're not so it's all up in
the air. Yeah, we're reallylucky. Nobody in our band gets che

(02:15):
set. Yeah, so Cody andDrew, they're okay with it a for
those guys are used to swaying backand forth, so you know, I
think they'll be fine. And I'malways you know, keeping up with you
guys. I'm trying to anyway.I see you playing these small places,
you know, as a duet, and I love that. And I wanted

(02:36):
to get up to the Great BearBoo to see you guys. I hear
they have great food there too. It's right in the neighborhood, so I
never get a chance to get upthere. But how is the food there?
Yeah, they do. It's fun. We've been having a good time
doing those cool to the acoustic showsand kind of just make it more you
know, intimate and kind of likelight and fun. And they've definitely a

(02:57):
good time. They've they've been they'vebeen cool. Just come out to one
to get change. Well, youknow, I was at one, but
it was many years ago, butyou guys have kept this thing going for
a while, you know, doingthis, So yeah, definitely venue all
the time we have. We lovedoing it, Christina, Does it give
you inspiration for like these new songswhen you're out there meeting people that you
know up close personal and doing differentyou know, kinds of music and things

(03:21):
like that. Oh, yeah, totally. I like to write about my
life and experiences and things that Ihear from others like will sometimes find its
way into a song. So Ialso really like playing covers at those acoustic
gigs too, because it just kindof opens up my mind musically and maybe

(03:42):
I sing something away that I wouldn'tjust naturally go to myself when writing.
So it's just taking all of theinfluences and experiences and turning them into new
songs. Yeah. Well, Ireally enjoy the show I saw with you
guys at the Diesel not too longago, and you know at that time

(04:08):
you had talked about and I thinkyou did Ghosts one of the new songs
I thought. So anyway, that'sone of my favorites right now from you
guys. Have has have you kindof circled back to what Colido was doing?
Like originally with this new music,I feel like we've grown so much

(04:28):
over the course of our careers inColido, and I don't think that we've
lost anything. We've only gained justagain, experience, and I think there's
always going to be you know, that original Colido in there right right,
keep trying to expand and grow andnever stay stuck in one box. Well,

(04:53):
yeah, you guys have definitely proventhat over the years, especially you
girl, But no question about Doug. I really like that song ghost Misery.
Now, So how many of thesenew songs have you completed and uploaded?
Now? We've been on a prettyaggressive release schedule since the end of

(05:14):
last year. We've been shooting torelease a new single every six to eight
weeks. Oh so we've put outsince we began that schedule, Misery Swallowed,
and then we did two songs inbetween, a cover of Pet Cemetery
by The Ramones. We also wrotean original Christmas song called Christmas in California,

(05:40):
and then the last one that wereleased was called Worth Believing. And
we're already and rare to go withthe next few months of releases, so
you can expect some constant new Colidoevery every month or so. It's like
a drug, you know what Imean, you got to have it.

(06:01):
Joey know more about that than youand me, Chris, But unreal,
Well, all your it's a podcast, come on, we can say anything.
You can find all your music upon the platforms, all the different
ones. Now, are you goingto compile all these ultimately and put them
on a disc or vinyl or what'sthe plans? Just yeah, we're definitely

(06:26):
gonna do something. We're not sureexactly what yet. Will definitely be a
compilation of all the singles that's comingout, but yeah, that's kind of
what we're focused on right now, just doing the single because it's been great.
We can just focus on one andput everything into it and kind of
go off what we're feeling at thetime and really ride that wave and put
it out. So we're gonna keepriding that for a while. And yeah,

(06:46):
well we'll definitely put something together,uh, pretty soon, but I
don't know what yet. Well, you know, we don't know. I
know, Yeah, we'll eventually putthem out onto a collection like a CD
or definitely vinyl te or a fullalbum, not sure yet, but for
now, we're just dropping them oneby one. I just thought that song
that that uh you know, andthank you for that once again that you

(07:11):
put on the first WLZ album likein twenty twenty two. Yeah, great,
it sounded so that. Yeah,oh absolutely, but it wouldn't have
it any other way. But itwas sounded so thick, and uh,
you know, I think there's aVinyl album in your future. I think
there should be, and you've gotthe music to prove it. Yeah.

(07:31):
I love Vinyl so much. It'salways been a part of my life and
I've always colected and listened to vinyl. So that's gonna be a really cool
moment once you actually do press thatand have our own cloud of vinl I
guess, yeah, we haven't doneyet, but that's our first Yeah band
press vinyl though, was with theWLD compilation. So all right, well,
I know people, so if youif you need some help in that,

(07:55):
let me know. But there's Vinylwait for you out there somewhere.
So what's the plans for the summerafter you get back from the rock to
where I see you're going to beplaying June first? And you know,
I was just talking about this placewith a friend of mine because we went
and saw Blue Oyster Cult and wewere talking about Blue Coop and the last

(08:15):
that was the last time I wasat the Music Factory And it looks like
you guys are going to be playingthere, right, So what's shows when
we're playing there on June first,And it's been a while since we've been
there, and the owners, Jeffand Buffy, are really cool, always
been so good to us, sowe're excited for our return. And we

(08:41):
also all have a comic book seriesthat we're launching this year, and we
will be debuting the first book ofa four book series at Astronomicon in Lavonia,
Michigan at Burton Manor April twelve, thirteenth, fourteenth, and we'll also

(09:01):
be doing a live performance on Saturdaynight, So we're getting excited and ready
for that as well. And thatis also bringing us into a new realm.
We've never created a comics book before, so it's been really interesting and
fun and I can't wait to debutit and let everybody see what we've been

(09:22):
working on for the past couple ofyears. Yeah, I saw that up
on the website, the first offour, so they're coming out one at
a time. Ultimately is this goingto be a graphic novel. Eventually will
be released as a graphic novel, but initially it's going to be four individual

(09:43):
copy comic book and then they'll allcome together to become a graphic novel.
So the story continues, you know, book one, two, three,
four, into a complete story thatwill then become a graphic novel. That
is so awesome. Now, whohelped you put that together? We actually

(10:03):
assembled a team of some very establishedand well known comic book professional over the
past two and a half years, going to comic cons researching it, worked
on it with our friend Valentino, and we have the writer William O'Neill who

(10:24):
did John Carpenter's comics book Wow series, Snake Fliskin and illustrator that's worked on
Half Flash. So we have areally great team of people working on it
with us. Like you said,Christina, you just keep moving forward and
you know that that that's certainly avery cool thing. You'll you'll find a

(10:48):
lot of new fans, I'm surethat'll be able to go back and look
at all your music and yeah, congratulations, because you know it's the band
Colido now in a comic book adventure, which is somewhat of an origin story
of sorts, a fantasy origin story, and so the music is the main

(11:11):
point of the comic. Yerry, that's awesome so throughout. So it's cool.
It ties all the world together forus. I love that. All
right. Well, hey, listen, you guys, stay safe on that
cruise. I'm gonna yeah, youknow, I am gonna be on vacation.
Maybe I should pick up a ticket. I don't know. Good,

(11:31):
that'd be awesome. I love tohave you. I'd love to see all
those band that is really gonna bequite special. But I'm gonna put I
think I'm gonna put you down forJune first, for the factory. I'll
be a little safer there at themusic Factory. But great talking to you
guys. Congratulations on the new music. Basically, I just wanted to get

(11:54):
the word out on some of yournew music and let people know that it's
out there and and I'm such abig fan of it. And uh,
you know, these songs are reallyreally great. They it just sounds like
it took a lot of time, spent a lot of effort. The band
sounds tighter than ever right now.Joey so uh, I was really impressed,

(12:15):
and uh, you know, wejust want to let people know to
go to Colido dot com and andcheck out those songs, hit them up
on the different platforms, and andbuy that comic book. Get uh,
I want to get all four, that's for sure. So thank you.
