Brave enough to have not flinched when conceding eight inches in height and nearly 30lbs in weight to the great Lennox Lewis on an atmospheric night at The Point in Dublin in 1995. Brave enough to have opened his own gym in Los Angeles during the worst recession of the last few decades. And brave enough to admit that there were times, after his 2014 diagnosis with throat and neck cancer, that he came close to despair.
