On this (late!!!!!) episode of Rookie Lap, a very frazzled Smitty and a very migraine-y Payner discuss the usual things. News, rules, history, and dumb takes. What else could you ask for from a Rookie Lap epsiode?
In this episode, we talk some about the news, some about illegal hockey equipment, more about cow dung pucks and...eating pucks, but mostly we talk about the ethics of trading star players and how we just want to go home too.

ON this episode, Payner and Smitty discuss the news (breaking breaking!), then talk about goalies and their gear and that insanity (thanks, NHL rule book for including literal math equations), and then we talk about the NHL draft next week! Payner is very excited, Smitty is just vibing. Also, we discuss which is harder: breathing in humidity or breathing at altitude.
On this episode, Payner and Smitty are back to regularly scheduled programming, though there is less yelling than normal. Today we talk big strides in hockey for women, little stitions, Sidney Crosby needing therapy (please go, friend), and then we spend an inordinate amunt of time talking about sticks. Also, Bruce Cassidy deserved better.
On today's episode, Payner and Smitty take a mental health break after a rough two weeks. We're tired, sad, and mad--but also tired of yelling and being yelled at. We bet you are too. Then, we're back on our rants about the PWHPA and celebrating the PHF for maybe finally punching back. We talk referees, streaks, and pulling goalies. Finally, we conclude with a loving message to Vegas fans.
On this episode (in which Smitty is literally in a closet), we talk the drama that happened following the trade deadline, the Isobel Cup, and some ridiculous and maybe not so ridiculous rules regarding captains, alternates, and goalies.
