Perdue à l’embouchure du fleuve St-Laurent, Belle-Isle, malgré son nom, n’a rien de particulièrement hospitalier. Tout juste un phare pour diriger les nombreux navires qui s’aventurent dans la région, une végétation des plus sommaires, quelques cours d’eau, des rochers, des falaises et ce vent constant qui balaie la petite île. Malgré tout, Belle-Isle fut le théâtre d’une incroyable histoire et de notre plus ancien cold-case. En effet dans cette affaire, nous allons vous transporter à la toute fin… du XIXe siècle.
Ce n’est qu’en 1902, que des pêcheurs trouvèrent le corps de madame Bates, disparue depuis trois ans lors du naufrage du S.S. Scotsman… Une fascinante histoire que Annie Richard et Jean-Philippe Rousseau, vont tenter de dépoussiérer pour vous.
