What I Did to Feel Seen
For most of my life, I didn’t feel seen. Not at home, not in my friendships, not in the quiet corners of my mind where I was always shrinking myself to survive. And when I finally was seen, it was through the eyes of men. That attention felt like worth. So I chased it. I performed. I used sex as a way to feel desired—because being desired felt like being real.
But now, in the safest relationship I’ve ever had, I’m realizing just how complicated my relationship with sex, rest, and self-worth really is. In this episode, I talk about what I did to feel seen, and how I’m learning to stop performing and start simply being.
