Exodus: The Passover

June 26 & 29, 2025

“Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:24)

God instituted the Passover as a memorial of His mercy—a day when judgment passed over His people because of the blood. As we reflect on Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, we see ourselves in the story: enslaved by sin, helpless on our own, and in need of a Deliverer.

Just as God saved the Israelites through the blood of the lamb on their doorposts, He saves us through the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God. Though sin condemns, Christ covers. Though memory accuses, God forgives. And in Jesus, death passes over.

Key Takeaways:

The Passover wasn’t just for Israel—it points us to the cross.

God’s judgment is real, but so is His mercy through the blood.

In Christ, your past no longer defines you—He does.
