Blooming a Business: Following a Passion with Jaz Tinsley of The Flower Boy Co

Born and raised in North Texas, Jaz’s roots run deep in cowtown. As a kid, he would spend hours in our garden or down by the river picking wildflowers; little did he know he’d be doing the same thing for life. Eventually, Jaz traded out his southern sun for sun-kissed shores and found himself in San Diego discovering my unique blend of coastal vibes and cowboy spirit.

Jaz truly believes that flowers have the power to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary ones. Being intentional about the placement of every stem and every detail means that he gets to create that extra drama, romance, or excitement with each design. Jaz’s happiest memories revolve around flowers, and his goal is to pass that on to each of his clients.

College friends reunited, we were thrilled to learn from and be inspired by Jaz's entrepreneurial journey. We discuss imposter syndrome, anxiety, and learning as you go when doing something new. You'll learn wedding floral tips, do it yourself floral arranging strategies, and most of all feel the warmth and heart behind the truly incredible human that is Jaz.
