‘And I love the quote that says, ‘You are not meant to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders’ because it’s true. Back in the day we weren’t connected to the rest of the world, we didn’t know what was happening more than a couple of kilometres away. We didn’t have hundreds of thousands of people’s lives in our mind, and as heartbreaking as it is there is nothing I can do in this moment to change the shooting that happened over in America. All I can do is wake up, smile and give my kids the best morning they can have. And raise them to care, I want them to be very caring. But I also don’t want them to grow up being upset and depressed about the state of the world, because the world is a beautiful place.’ ~ Rebekah Rocca
In this heartfelt episode of the Self Love Podcast, we welcome the beautiful and creative Rebekah Rocca, who shares her powerful journey of healing, motherhood, and purpose-driven living. Quotes: Everything I do today came about from my journey in motherhood. One thing has lead to another and my love of nutrition has shaped my role as a mother. I have dived into the natural world with herbs, oils and whole food wanting the best for everyone. I want them to trust their intuition and innate knowing. I want my kids to be raised differently to me. I needed to raise my kids so they feel safe and loved. I do a lot of reading and self help books. My sewing group each week is like a therapy session that is truly beautiful. It’s amazing to have different perspectives from different women. I don’t want them to miss the beautiful parts of the world. I love showing my children the real world outside. Learning is all lead by my kids. We don’t stick to some crazy schedule with our kids. We have to find a balance and make it work. It is more about learning in nature and incorporating life and learning in our every day. It is about learning with life. Let the little things be the big things. It is important your children see you chasing your dreams.
