Welcome back to the podcast.

(01:09):
Happy New Year.
We are backI definitely took January off.
We didn't upload any episodesin January, so I am choosing to
start my new year in February.
So, happy, happy New Year.
Today's the last day in January.
Tomorrow is February 1st and Idefinitely.
I don't know about you guys, but gone are the days.

(01:30):
Are the gung-ho new years right, like let's go new me who dis?
Let's roll all the goals, allthe motivation, right?
And then I think it's the 12thor the 14th of January.
It's actually called likequitter's day.
It's like the day that everyonewent out the gate too fast and

(01:51):
got exhausted and burnt out andwent back to their old ways
because it was easier, right.
And yeah, definitely felt thatthis year it was just like nah,
I have some things to work on,right.
I talk a lot about the workoutsand the work-ins.
I had a lot of work-ins I'vegot to do and I actually just

(02:12):
recorded an episode with Dr ErinPollinger that will air
probably within the next coupleof months.
So, if you're listening to thisepisode, like, right, when it
comes out it's not there yet,but it will be and this is all
on manifesting magic and tappinginto that feminine receiving
energy and all the differentfeminine avatars that are part

(02:32):
of who we are as women.
And yeah, I share a lot on thatepisode about what I've been
going through since like end ofDecember to end of January.
So if you want to tap into that, get ready for that episode, or
maybe, if you're listening tothis episode later, it's already
available.
It's going to be calledManifesting Magic and Feminine
Power, something along thoselines.

(02:54):
Anyways, I couldn't push the gas.
It was time to push the brakesand I'm grateful that I have a
wonderful assistant that stillprovided lovely clips on social
media and all the things so thatI can continue to show up and
be that presence online.
But from a creative perspective, it was much more about
nurturing myself and creating abetter relationship with me,

(03:15):
rather than needing to go outand use the new year to promote
something, and all of that.
I just didn't feel that thisyear.
So, anyways, here we are.
Happy new year.
Today, we're talking all aboutour word for 2025.
If you've been following me fora while, you know that we don't
do New Year's resolutionsaround here.
Right, we choose words of theyear, and I love this so much

(03:38):
better because our word of theyear can transcend into so many
other areas of our life.
Right, it doesn't have to be aNew Year's resolution that's so
fixated on one thing like ourhealth and losing weight.
It's like what word do I wantto embody while I'm on the
journey of pursuing betterhealth, while I'm on the journey
of pursuing better connectionsand relationships?

(03:59):
Right, it's like what word canI use, no matter where I'm
showing up and what container?
Right, and that's what I loveabout words of the year because,
yeah, you get to utilize themin so many ways.
And we're in 2025, so 24, 23.
In 2023, I had two wordsgrateful and growth.

(04:21):
Grateful growth were the twowords I had.
And then last year, I thinkI've done episodes about this
also.
I for sure did one last year,so I'll link the episode to last
year's word of the year episode, but I might've done one the
year before as well, I can'tremember.
And then last year, I had twowords as well integrity and

(04:43):
endurance.
Integrity and and yeah, I wasreally thinking about what I
always feel like your word ofthe year chooses you, right?
When you think too hard aboutit, it's like, yeah, you just
think too hard about it, right?
So I was kind of yeah, I hadjust finished up a detox and

(05:06):
cleanse in December, I had justfinished another round of combo
and I just knew the word wasgoing to come to me.
The first one that I thought ofwas actually like trust, because
I felt like I needed somethingjust reminding me to pump the
brakes and trust that what'sbest is coming on its way to me.
But then, as I started gearingup for this next part of my

(05:28):
journey, which I just had a rootcanal removed I had a root
canal done when I was 19 yearsold and I have been doing a lot
of research on oral health andwhat was shoved up in my mouth
when I had that root canal and Iwas doing a lot of research on
Chinese medicine and meridianpoints and my close friend,
austin, had gone through thesame procedure like six or seven

(05:52):
years before.
So I was getting ready to getthe root canal removed and I
felt like I needed a bit more ofa word with oomph.
I didn't feel like trust hadenough oomph in it, just at
least for my nervous system.
When you know, you know when itresonates with you, it
resonates with you.
So, anyways, I was hanging outwith chat, gpt and typing in

(06:13):
different things and trying toexplain what type of word I
wanted.
I wanted something different,right?
So the word I chose for thisyear is valiant and I wrote here
in my journal my word for 2025is valiant and I wrote like
little bullet points about whatthis word meant to me Valiant.

(06:36):
And I wrote little bulletpoints about what this word
meant to me.
And, yeah, I got these bulletpoints just by looking at the
definition, looking at all ofthe different root words and
where they derive from.
I just kind of geeked out alittle bit, but what I wrote
down is that Valiant means braveand trusting, and in Latin

(06:57):
valiant means to be strong.
And I also wrote boldness witha sense of purpose.
And I also wrote warrior energyFacing challenges in the
presence of fear, pursuingdreams, shining light and

(07:20):
providing guidance.
And so for me, valiant had oh,when I wrote here too, latin.
In Latin, valens means to bestrong and to be worthy, so I
felt like there was warriorenergy and worthiness energy to
this word.
And then I also live in Utah, soactually I got a DM from this

(07:42):
one girl that was like hey, whatdoes valiant mean to you?
Because I grew up in the Mormonchurch and valiant is like a
word that we use in the contextof that and she's no longer in
the Mormon church.
It's a whole different story.
But like, just in general, right, like I.
Then I realized that a lot ofwhat I was looking up Valiant it
showed up in a lot of websitesfor like nuns and then monastery

(08:04):
stuff but I was like fuck it,like I can make this word
whatever it wants to me.
Valiant is that warrior, worthy,um ripple, shining bright
energy.
Right, not holding back.
Right, not being gung-ho let'sgo look at me but like not
holding back your truth, yourfull expression of yourself, the

(08:26):
tenacity to get to those nextpoints.
Valiant energy in the pursuitof growth, of who you need to
become in order to achieve whatyou want to achieve.
Right?
So that's my word of the year.
But, yeah, I really encourageyou to choose a word of the year
if you haven't already.
Right, right now, I can askmyself what does it mean to be
valiant in the gym, in myfriendships, in my romantic

(08:48):
relationships, in my familyrelationships, at work, as a
leader, as a podcaster, asLunden , as a neighbor?
Right, like, we get to askourselves how would Valiant show
up in this situation?
What would Valiant do here?
Right, and that's why I lovewords of the year so much.
Better than the New Year'sresolutions is because you're

(09:10):
not pigeonholed into one area ofyour life for the whole year,
this word can transcend and movewith you and flow with you.
So, yeah, I just want toencourage you to do that, to
choose a word that resonateswith you and become it, live it,
embody it.
And yeah, I want to make thisepisode short and sweet because

(09:32):
I think more of the rest of thisepisode is your work right.
It's your ability to take thisinformation and choose something
, and I want to hear it.
So send me a DM on Instagram@lifelikelunden.
If you're on my email list thenyou can also hit reply to any
of the emails I send you and youcan share your word of the year
, tell me about it, what itmeans to you, why you chose it.

(09:56):
I've posted a lot on socialmedia last month at the end of
the year of just like what'syour word of the year?
And there were so many goodones right, and I'm such a fan
of vocabulary and communicationand words, so it's always nice
to, of course, get to know youmore and know what you want to
embody, but also I love learningnew words and getting excited
about yeah, new language.

(10:17):
I think it's really beautiful.
Happy New Year.
