It wasn't so long ago that Georgie learned there was a name for the way she felt ... being a Highly Sensitive Person.
Maybe you've been there too? Discovering, for the first time, that there are words and experiences that are shared by others who also have this trait. That you're not actually 'too much' or 'too sensitive', but that you are a part of that minority percentage of the population who are more sensitive.
Georgie found that discovery to be pivotal. And one of the biggest shifts ? An enhanced capacity to meet herself with compassion.
Join me, Erica Webb, host of SelfKind, as I chat with Georgie Druckmann - doula, mother and highly sensitive person - about the impact of putting words to her high sensitivity and what we can all learn through her work as a post-partum doula.
We talk about compassion, the importance of community care, and how, as Highly Sensitive People, we can navigate asking for and receiving support.
About Georgie Druckmann:
Georgia is a mum and postpartum (and previous) birth doula, living in Naarm/Melbourne. With her relatively recent discovery of being a HSP, many pieces of how she moves and feels in the world now make so much more sense and she can see how being HSP has made things harder at times but has also been her super power in how she nurtures others through being a doula, mother, partner and friend.
