Hey, motives, welcome

Transformative Journey fromSelf-Doubt to Self-Love.
How are you doing out there,self-love adventurers?
Welcome to the TransformativeJourney Shades of Tone podcast,
where we explore the eccentric, winding path from self-doubt to
(00:23):
self-love.
I'm your host.
Tone Motivates your guide onthis journey of self-discovery,
and today we're going to diveinto the ups, downs and all
around fun of transformingself-doubt into a celebration of
who we truly are.
Grab your favorite peculiaraccessory maybe a funky scarf or
some rainbow socks and let'sembark on this transformative
(00:47):
journey together.
So let's start at the beginning, understanding self-doubt, the
critic in your head.
So it's starting withself-doubt.
We've all been there, thatpesky voice in your head that
loves to tell you you're notgood enough, you can't do that,
(01:07):
or who do you think you are?
Self-doubt is like thatannoying backseat driver who
never actually takes the wheelbut has so many damn opinions on
how you're doing things.
But here's the thing.
Self-doubt is quirky.
But here's the thing.
Self-doubt is quirky.
It shows up at the unexpectedplaces, the most unexpected
(01:30):
places, right, often when you'reon the verge of something great
.
It's not here to help, though.
It's here to keep us in ourcomfort zone.
The good news you canacknowledge it, give it a wink
and move forward anyway.
Fun fact Did you know that mostpeople experience self-doubt
(01:51):
when they're stepping outside oftheir comfort zone?
It's a sign that you're growing, so maybe self-doubt deserves a
little.
Thank you for showing you whereyou're at and pushing your
limits.
Self-reflection prompts Thinkabout a time when self-doubt
(02:11):
showed up in your life.
What was it trying to protectyou from?
What might have happened if youhad moved forward anyway?
Jot down your thoughts or justreflect on them for a moment.
Or just reflect on them for amoment Embracing self-love an
eccentric practice.
(02:32):
Now that we've acknowledgedself-doubt, let's talk about
self-love.
Self-love isn't about beingperfect.
It's about embracing yourselfquirks, flaws and all.
Imagine self-love as yourpersonal cheerleader, decked out
in a glitter all over andpom-poms cheering you on every
(02:53):
step of the way.
Self-love is a practice, not adestination.
It's about being kind toyourself when you make a mistake
, celebrating your successes andtreating yourself with the same
compassion you offer to afriend.
It's quirky because it oftenmeans doing things that you feel
(03:25):
a little silly about or that'sout of the ordinary, like giving
yourself a pep talk in themirror or writing yourself a
love letter.
Fun fact, the act of looking inthe mirror and saying positive
affirmations to yourself hasbeen shown to boost self-esteem
and reduce self-doubt.
So go ahead and get a littlejiggy with it.
I got another prompt for you.
What's one thing you can dotoday to practice self-love?
It could be something small, like taking a few minutes to
(03:47):
breathe deeply, or somethingbigger, like treating yourself
to something you've been wanting.
Write it down or just hold itin your mind as a commitment to
yourself.
In addition to that, guys, remember that you can be your
worst enemy or your best friend, that you can be your worst
(04:09):
enemy or your best friend.
So remember to always giveyourself some grace, because you
deserve it.
Let's chat about thetransformation bridging the gap
between self-doubt and self-love.
So we're talking about thetransformation from self-doubt
to self-love.
It isn't a magical overnightprocess.
It's a journey filled withtwists, turns and a whole lot of
(04:30):
learning.
Think of it as a road tripwhere the destination is loving
yourself more and the journey isall about discovering who you
truly are.
To bridge the gap betweenself-doubt and self-love, start
by acknowledging your doubts, but don't Don't let them steer
the wheel.
Instead, invite self-love intothe driver's seat.
(04:54):
When self-doubt says you can'tdo this, respond with self-love,
saying maybe not yet, but I'mlearning and that's enough.
So, guys, I want you to createyour own self-love roadmap On a
piece of paper.
Draw a winding road On one side.
(05:18):
Write down your self-doubts Onthe other side.
Write down self-loveaffirmations or actions that
counter those doubts as you gothrough your day.
Imagine yourself moving alongthat road with self-love guiding
you forward.
(05:39):
Self-reflection what's one areaof your life where you can start
this transformation today?
Maybe it's in your work, yourrelationships or how you talk to
yourself.
Reflect on how you can useself-love to challenge
self-doubt in this area.
So let's celebrate yourprogress with a little hip-hop
(06:02):
and victory dance.
Well, it don't have to behip-hop, it could be whatever
you like, because I like allkinds of music.
But as we wrap up, let's take amoment to celebrate where you
are right now.
No matter where you are on thejourney of self-love or
self-doubt, or should I say fromself-doubt to self-love, you
made progress just by being here.
(06:23):
Right?
You're reflecting andcommitting to change.
That deserves a celebration.
Here's a quirky idea Do avictory dance right now,
wherever you are, even if it'sjust in your head.
Dance like you've alreadyarrived at self-love because, in
(06:44):
a way, you have You'relistening right.
Celebrate every small step, every moment of self-kindness,
small step, every moment ofself-kindness and every time you
choose to love yourself just alittle bit more.
I know I got anotherself-reflection prompt right.
Yeah, I know, I got thatprompty prompt.
How can you celebrate yourprogress today?
(07:08):
It could be something small, like taking a moment to
appreciate yourself, orsomething bigger, like treating
yourself to a reward.
Whatever it is, make it fun and, most importantly, make it
yours.
For me, as an overachiever, Ifound that I could literally
(07:29):
graduate from college, got awhole damn degree, and I'm like,
ok, what's next?
You know what I mean and I hadto literally make it a conscious
effort to sit my tail down andenjoy.
So this is something that Istruggle with daily, guys,
because I do so much like I havea resume for corporate America,
(07:51):
I have an EPK or electronicpress kit when it comes to
entertainment and what I do asfar as podcast and writing and
hosting and cognitive behaviortherapy and all of that stuff,
right.
But I'm always thinking aboutwhat's next and what I realize
is sometimes, even thougheverything that I do is all love
(08:12):
and everything that I love andI genuinely want to do the rest
of my life.
I'm spread too thin sometimes, and instead of having 12 baskets
with 12 eggs, I can literallyhave six baskets with two eggs a
piece, and with that I'm lessoverwhelmed, I'm more receptive
to everything coming to me andI'm able to be more authentic
(08:35):
and show up more for those whoreally need me and, more
importantly, for myself.
So just remember that it'syours, okay?
So that's it for today's episodeof Transformation Journey.
Okay, remember, moving fromself-doubt to self-love is a
(08:58):
journey worth taking and youdon't have to do it perfectly,
you just have to do it.
Okay, I hope today's reflectionhas inspired you to embrace
your quirks, challenges and yourdoubts and love yourself a
little bit more every day.
