On April 24th, 1994, police respond to a call at a bar in Bangor, Maine. Outside they find Virginia Pictou-Noyes who claims her husband and brother-in-law had just beat her outside the bar. With her husband under arrest and her brother-in-law charged in the assault, Virginia is taken to an area hospital for her injuries. There, around 1am, she quietly slips out of the hospital. The last she is seen is heading north through the parking lot. Her husband tells everyone that Virginia has run away from home, but her family believes differently.  This week we’re honored to be joined by guest reader Althea Sam. Actress Althea Sam is a Member of the Dine Nation(Navajo Nation), which is considered one of the largest sovereign tribes in the United States. She was born on the Dine Reservation in Tuba City, AZ. Althea served in the United States Navy and is proud of her service. She began her career as an actress in Taylor Sheridan's film, "Wind River." Having raised her daughter and artist, Lakota Gambill, as a single mother, Althea has thrived, continuing her career in other films. Join us on Patreon!
