(01:58):
And here is one fromThatGolfFan and it says when I

She radiates positivity and hasbeen the uplifting and
encouraging voice I so oftenneed to hear.
She is genuine, she'smotivating.

I joined GrowGetters and it hasbeen one of the best business
(02:21):
decisions I have made.
She has been the best tourguide for this new journey.
Thank you, kimberly, for beingyou.
This is so wonderful.
Okay, which grow getter wasthis?
I don't know who you are thatgolf fan who plays golf?
I need to start.
It's like the clue mystery game.
I got to figure it out.
This is so sweet.
Thank you so much for thismessage.
(02:43):
It means the world to me.
And if you've been listening awhile, like that golf fan, if
you've been listening and you'venever given this a five-star
rating, would you be so kind togive this podcast five stars,
Like if you're an Apple podcast?
You just hit five stars and ifyou have a minute to write a
review, see what this does forme.
It makes me blush, it makes meso happy and it makes me feel so
(03:04):
good.
So if you have that time towrite a written review, it would
be awesome, awesome, awesome.
So that is it, okay, on to theepisode.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Well, hello friends.
How are you, how is everythinggoing in your business?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
I am just so excited
for you and for this year, I'm
really seeing a shift where manyof you are getting so focused
on your business you really are.
You're focused on simplifyingthings and you know, trimming
the fat.
Trimming the fat, getting thethings out of the way that are
stressing you out, that aretaking you too much time and
(03:48):
that aren't selling.
I mean, I can relate I've beenhaving to shift things in my
business as well and focus onwhat is selling.
What is selling, becausewhatever selling is telling you
where the demand is right For me.
I've seen demand go from justpeople wanting help growing
their business to now peoplegetting really focused on one
(04:11):
certain method, and many arecoming to me for podcasting
because y'all want to use thatas a way to create impact and
grow your business right, because this podcast has meant
so much to you and I get it.
And so we have to make harddecisions in our business where
we focus on where is the moneycoming from?
(04:32):
What do people really need?
What is, what is the marketdemanding Right?
Things change all the time.
Y'all, business is changing allthe time, so I just hope you're
thinking about that.
I can't stress this enough tojust keep telling you streamline
your business and offer more ofwhat's selling and what people
are needing help with right now.
(04:54):
So make sure you're doing that.
That's my little pep talk onthat, but today we're talking
about podcasting.
Lo and behold, of course,no-transcript.
(05:33):
Go through the four ways thatyou can use podcasting in your
business to grow it and tocreate more impact.
Right, to help more people, toteach them more things, and it's
really fun.
I mean, there are some fun waysthat y'all can use podcasting.
Y'all know the obvious way thatyou can have a free podcast like
this one that you are listeningto now.
(05:54):
Right, this is a free podcastand you hear me every week.
You know that I show up.
I've been showing up for fiveyears and I show up every single
week giving you tips, sharingthings that are relevant to
today.
Right, maybe I share tips andstories from my past things that
I've learned, my knowledge, clients that I'm working with.
Right now you can do the samething from my past things that
(06:14):
I've learned, my knowledge, clients that I'm working with.
Right now you can do the samething.
You can start a free podcast, right, and what I mean by free
is that your people are notpaying for it.
Your listeners are not payingfor it.
Now, y'all know I have a groupprogram that I'm about to launch
a beta, because I'm trying tocreate a streamlined course for
y'all to help you create yourpodcast and I'm teaching you
everything that I've been doingto build a top 1% globally
(06:37):
ranked podcast.
Right, I'm sharing it all withyou.
I'm pulling back the curtains,right.
So I'm about to create thatcourse, but I need your help.
If this is you just real quickplug for the PodSquad.
Yes, it's called the PodSquad, isn't that cute?
It's my beta program becausewhat I'm trying to do is build
out a really good, solid, dreamlined course to help you
(06:58):
launch your podcast and get itout into the world and use it to
create more impact and growyour business.
Right, and I'm going to pullback the curtains on everything
that I've been doing for thepast five years to create a top
1% globally ranked podcast, starting from zero in less than
two hours a week, right?
So if you're interested in that, make sure you scroll down in
(07:18):
the show notes and get on thewaitlist for the beta program,
because I'd love for you to be apart of it and I would love to
be coaching you.
I'll be doing live coaching tobe helping all of you, right?
So it's a win-win for both ofus.
So I can build out the courseand you can get your awesome,
awesome, top 1% globally rankedpodcast launch yourself.
So I'm so excited.
But, anyways, you can do a freepodcast like this one and it's a
(07:40):
great way to reach peopleworldwide while you're sleeping.
I think it's, hands down, thebest way.
If you're creating long formcontent like YouTube videos, if
you are wanting to blog, ifyou're wanting to be on social
media and doing videos andthings, I think podcasting is
the most time effective and costeffective, right.
Especially if you have afull-time job.
I think it's the most timeeffective, cost effective Again,
(08:02):
less than two hours a week.
You can start with zero fans, zero everything, like I did, and
I can tell you exactly what Idid to get where I am.
Okay, and it didn't take methat long to get where I am.
I've been at the top onepercent.
There's probably more.
I could do to get even higher, but I'm living the life that I
love, right, and I think we'veput boundaries on ourselves.
So that's a.
That's a whole, nother podcastepisode, right?
(08:23):
Anyways, you can create a freepublic podcast.
Number one.
You know this and it's amazingand it may be the best thing you
ever do for your business.
So so that's number one.
Number two you can create afree, private podcast.
So instead of it being public, where everyone can just click in
Apple Podcasts or Spotify andlisten, you have a private one
that you use sort of as a leadmagnet.
(08:44):
If you heard the term leadmagnet, it just means you offer
something for free and peoplegive you their email address in
return so you could have somecool tips, some lessons you
teach them, anything fun, andit's a private podcast and all
they do is enter their email.
They'll get a link and you canlisten to it.
Now I have this training in myPodSquad training.
It was in the BingeworthyBootcamp that I did live a while
(09:07):
back too, and now this one Iwill have it in there as well
how to Create a Free, privatePodcast.
So maybe you don't want tocommit to a full-on podcast
every week.
You could create a private onethat's gated with their email
address, and now you have peopleon the on your email list and
you're giving them information.
So if it's information thatthey want, it's great.
Like I've had my 5 Steps toConsistent Sales.
(09:30):
I've had that private podcastand people would sign up up and
they would get it and listen toit, had them on my email list
and they're part of my circlebecause obviously they don't
want to be on.
You know, they don't want to belistening to that podcast if
they're not interested ingrowing their business.
So it was perfect because itwas the people that were perfect
for me, right?
And then some of those peoplewill move on to become either
(09:51):
coaching clients or in one of mygroup programs, right?
So a free, private podcast andyou do that through apps which,
again, I will talk all aboutthis later like if you're in my
program, if you're in my betaprogram, but it's something that
you do that and they would loadup on their podcast app into
Apple Podcasts or Spotify andthey'd have it and you can teach
(10:12):
them.
Maybe it's 5 episodes, maybeit's 10 episodes, something like
that.
It can.
Just, you can record it allover a day.
I recorded mine in one day anduploaded it.
It's a great lead magnet, okay.
So think about that.
A free, private podcast, you cando that.
Okay.
Number 3.
You can do a podcast that'sinside one of your programs.
So I've always done this.
(10:33):
So what I mean is, like I havemy Just Getting Started Bootcamp
and before that it was calledJust Start, and then I have my
Just Getting Started Bootcamp, because I did it live.
And then I have Grow Gettersand I have a private podcast
inside my paid program.
So your paid members of amembership or a program or a
course could get a privatepodcast that is just for them,
(10:54):
and I've done that too, and it'sawesome Y'all.
There's so many fun ways thatyou can use a podcast.
How awesome is this?
So, again, it's a perk forpeople that are in your circle.
So think about it right now.
There's a lot of creative waysand, again, if you are one of my
coaching clients, let's talkabout it.
Let's sort through your optionsfor your business, what time
you have and what would be goodfor your people.
(11:16):
Maybe it's a free, privatepodcast, maybe it's one that's
paywalled behind your programs, courses, memberships, etc.
Which can be really, reallycool, Okay.
So, again, let's go through, andthen I'll go through to the
fourth one.
Number one is a free publicpodcast, okay, that everyone can
hear while you sleep.
You're going to get leads, right, because people can then
sign up for your lead magnet, your printable checklist for a
(11:38):
free consult, you know, sendthem to your YouTube channel.
You can do all these thingsthat really work for your
business.
And again, everyone's businessis different, so that's why I
like to look at each of yourspersonally, because that matters
.
You shouldn't be following atemplate that everyone else is
following.
You should be adapting it toyour business.
(11:58):
Okay, number one free publicpodcast.
Number two a free privatepodcast where they enter their
email and they get access to apodcast that has a limited
number of episodes and ituploads on Spotify or Apple
Podcasts, etc.
Okay.
Number three it can be inside apaid program, course,
membership, whatever it is.
(12:19):
You give this to them, okay, and they get access to it.
But again, it's just for thepeople that are part of your
programs.
Okay.
And number four you can have apaid subscription version of
your podcast.
Now, y'all know that I did this.
I've been doing this for thepast couple months and I did it
the easy way through ApplePodcasts, so sorry to Spotify
(12:43):
listeners or if you're anOvercast or some other app.
I wanted to test this and seedo I like it, do people listen
to it?
Because those are key, y'allOkay.
So, yes, I offered it as andI'm here let me clarify Okay.
So when I started the paidversion of the podcast, I did it
(13:03):
through Apple.
You get a free three-day trialand then it's $2.99 per month
for y'all to get access and newepisodes would launch each week.
So not only did people have myfree versions of the podcast
right each week, y'all know, onThursdays I had a free episode
and then I would do the paidversion coming out on Mondays or
Tuesdays Usually it was Mondays.
(13:24):
Every now and then I was lateand it was on Tuesdays, but I
was doing more in-depthconversations about that week's
episode.
Okay, so I was diving deeper andthat was great.
Then I thought this would befun if I actually had coaching
calls on here and then peoplecould hear me coaching clients.
So what I did was and you coulddo anything you wanted, but
(13:46):
this is just what I did Offereda free 15 to 30-minute coaching
session with people on Zoom whowanted to sign up.
I had them apply first and then, once I approved them, they
signed up.
I did the free coaching callfor 15 to 30 minutes.
But in lieu of them having topay for the coaching call.
I would simply say Are we okayand they knew this ahead of time
(14:07):
to air this live?
And if I needed to bleep outnames or anything like that, I
was able to do that.
But if we're able to air itlive, that would be great.
It'll be on the premium versionof my podcast.
It's only for people who paythe $2.99 a month are going to
get access.
Okay, and so that's what I did,and it was a total blast.
I love coaching all.
Some of y'all I had never metbefore.
Y'all are new people.
(14:27):
Some people had been in mygroup program, some people had
been coaching clients, so I hada whole mix and it was awesome
and I loved it.
Okay, and so what I'm doingwith mine?
So alert heads up.
If you're one of thesubscribers right now, I'm
actually ending it and you'relike what You're ending it?
It was doing well, yes, you knowwhy?
Because for me, I see thepremium version of this podcast
(14:52):
being one that's like a pop-upshow, where every now and then
maybe I do that and then I'm notglued to it all year round.
It's not something I have tokeep, you know, worrying about,
because it does take time.
So this is the one that takesthe most time because you're
adding an episode every week, right, you're adding on and it's
a whole, nother episode I haveto worry about and all that
stuff.
So to me it, you know, hastaken more time, but it's been
(15:19):
awesome and it's been cool toget the extra revenue.
I had very high retention rates, like very high.
I'm gonna need to go back andwork through Apple Podcasts to
look at it.
It's a little confusing on someof the data that they have, but
it looked like it was like 90%and then people who converted
from the free trial to the thingwas around the same.
(15:41):
So that's awesome, right, sothat's a good thing.
People were enjoying it oncethey got in and I'm like this is
super fun.
But it is a lot of extra workand I'm trying to build out this
podcasting program and Ithought you know what.
I'm going to use this paidversion of my podcast as a
pop-up version, like, if I wantto do it again in 3 or 4 months,
6 months, people can sign upagain, right, and y'all aren't
(16:02):
glued to it all year roundeither and y'all don't have to
worry about it.
So I loved the paid version.
You probably have seen otherversions.
If you listen to True Crime oranything like that You've heard
well, they'll have a no-adversion of their podcast.
So that's another thing youcould do.
If you have a podcast that yourun ads on, you could also have
a paid version of the podcastthat has no ads.
(16:22):
To me, that's the easiest wayto go.
That would be the number oneeasiest.
I did the second easiest, whichwas through Apple Podcasts, and
I did have to upload thoseepisodes each week, but it was
still an Apple Podcast.
I would do Apple Podcasts andthen do an ad-free version,
because that would be super easy.
So what you'd have to do isyou'd have your hosting provider
(16:43):
that you'd upload your episodeto each week and then you would
also upload it in Apple Podcastswithout you know the same
episode again, and then no adswould be put on them on the
Apple Podcasts version when theysubscribe to the premium
version.
Does that make sense?
It's probably really confusing,but there's several different
ways.
You can do paid subscriptionsfor your podcast and to me no
(17:04):
one is talking about this thatyou could just do a pop-up
version in Apple Podcasts ofyour premium podcast.
Like I loved it.
This was so much fun and I youknow, if I had more time I would
keep doing it and keep buildingout my pod squad.
I can't do it all y'all becauseI have decided I have
boundaries in my life on howmuch time I can spend on this
(17:24):
business and so you have to makehard decisions.
But this wasn't that hard of adecision.
This was super fun, it wastemporary and now I may do it
again later.
Okay, so those are the fourways that you can use podcasting
in your business Free, publicnumber one.
Number two, a free private.
Number three inside a programcoaching, consulting, membership
(17:45):
, etc.
Course.
And number four as a paidsubscription and number four as
a paid subscription.
So there's so many clever ways.
Again, reach out to me and let'shave a coaching call If you're
trying to figure out how tointegrate or incorporate a
podcast into your business.
You're not sure if you wanna dothe free public one every week.
Maybe you wanna do somethingelse.
Let's talk about it and I'llgive you the pros and cons and
(18:06):
give you my honest opinion onwhat you should do, based on the
time you have and the type ofbusiness that you have.
Okay, because that matters.
That matters on what you'regonna do, type of business that
you have and what you're gonnaoffer, as I would love to help
you.
So reach out.
I do one-on-one coaching or getin the PodSquad beta, because
it's gonna be the lowest priceand I'm gonna be giving you so
(18:27):
much personal attention to helpyou with your podcasting, giving
you so much personal attentionto help you with your podcasting
.
So that's it.
Y'all are amazing.
Have a wonderful day and untilnext time.
Bye now.
Speaker 2 (18:40):

does not have to end here.
