Well, hello friends.

(04:24):
How are you?
How's everything going in yourbusiness?
I'm dying to hear.
I need an update.
If you're in our Facebook group, make sure y'all update me when
of them are hard.
I just think, though, thatevery opportunity that you can,
you should be gleaning insightsfrom everything that happens,
good and bad.
What did we do right?
What could we have done better?
What will we do different fromnow on?
I'm just so happy for all ofyou.

(04:47):
Y'all are all pursuing yourpassion, and I think it's just
such a great thing you may havethat your business isn't making

(05:10):
a bazillion dollars.
I think so many of you do feelthis.
I mean, do you, do you feelashamed that maybe you don't
make as much money as you wouldlove to be making Right, or that
it's not making as much moneyas other entrepreneurs that you
meet?
Or even in any of my groups, inGrowGetters, or maybe in the
new pod squad, you know peoplewill be making more money than
you, and it's a fact of life.

(05:30):
You will never be the personthat makes the most money.
I think we've got to get rid ofthe shame surrounding it,
because that's the problem.
The problem is not that you'renot making enough money or what
you need to make.
Okay, there's got to bestrategies that you can put in
place and you can do all of that.
That is solvable, okay, it issolvable.

(05:51):
What you have to do is takecare of the mental side of this
while you're on this journey andrealize that there will be
times that you aren't making themoney that you feel like you
should be making, and that'shard, y'all.
It's so hard.

(06:12):
I know the feeling.
I've been there.
I've been there in times withmy other online boutiques.
I had one called In this VeryRoom and one called Kids Are
Fans Too, and if you've heard mystory, you know all this, so I
won't rehash it all.
But there were years when Iwasn't making as much money as I

(06:33):
wanted, right, and the marketswould shift and things would
happen, and then I would putstrategies in place and then
things would get better, better.

(06:54):
But it's hard because you now,in this world of, like social
media and even group coachingprograms, you are privy to what
other people are claiming thatthey're making.
I will say y'all.
I have heard so much about someof the big online coaches, I
guess you could say, or justonline businesses where they
talk about all the money thatthey're making, and I think some
of them are legit.
I have no reason to doubt someof them, but others I keep

(07:17):
hearing stories that you know Iguess it's coaches, you could
say.
Or you know some of theentrepreneurs will say, oh, in
my latest launch, or I did thisand I made a million dollars and
I made $500,000.
But what they didn't tell youwas they spent $800,000 on ads

(07:37):
or they're losing money thisround and hope to make it up
next round.
There's so much we don't knowto make it up next round.
There's so much we don't know.
You may hear that a fellow growgetter or someone in the pod
squad when we kick that off soonor in other coaching programs
that you're in, are making a lotof money and what you have to

(07:58):
do is realize that at thatmoment that they are in, at that
stage of their business, theyget to celebrate that and that's
awesome, but in no way is thata reflection on you or what you
are doing.
Every person's path isdifferent.

(08:19):
Everyone's journey to theirdream dollar amount is different
.
Everyone's situation isdifferent.
Everyone's time that you havein your life is different Y'all.
There are so many factors it'snot even funny.
Some businesses that I work withtake years to get profitable,
and that's okay.
I need to look up.
When did Amazon becomeprofitable?

(08:40):
Have I looked at this beforewith y'all when?
Look, I'm Googling it right now.
When did Amazon becomeprofitable?
Y'all are hearing me like realtime here.
First became profitable in 2003.
But when did they start?
It took 14 years to make a netprofit.
Now that's Amazon and theyactually knew what they were

(09:01):
doing.
Right?
They're a huge corporation.
They knew it's going to takethis many years.
I'm sure they had that allfigured out, that once they got
the right customer base, oncethat hit, they were going to
make a lot of profit, right?
You just have to remember thatevery business is different.
Some of the clients that I workwith, they are profitable out of
the gate and usually and I'vesaid this before, so y'all pay

(09:23):
attention Usually it's becausethey already had a large network
and they were somehow in thisindustry prior.
They either worked for acompany that did this or they
worked you know, they werearound people in this industry,
or they're really connected.
That's usually.

(09:44):
I'm not saying that's 100%, butusually they were already
connected to that industrybecause they worked in it or
they were.
They were well-networked withinthat type of industry and it
was just easy Okay.
For a lot of y'all it's not likethat.
It takes a while to get thisengine going, especially if you
have a product or service thatno one really knows that they

(10:08):
need, and you have to do a lotof education.
It takes a lot longer and thefeeling when those businesses
that took a long time to becomeprofitable become profitable,
it's the best.
It is so worth celebratingbecause it took them a lot to
get to that.
So today we're going to talkabout it because I want to

(10:29):
remove any shame that you may becarrying, any pressure, any
just like feeling of you're notgood enough, that your business
isn't good enough.
There's three things we're goingto go through today and I hope
this kind of talks you off theledge.
It makes you see that it's okay, like your situation is
different and that you shouldnot be ashamed.

(10:50):
You should be actuallyextremely proud of where you are
right now because you'velearned lessons.
You are learning lessons andyou are being smart enough to be
listening here today and toother people in your life, other
mentors that you have or thatyou listen to online or YouTube
or whatever.
You are being smart enough andstrategic enough to be aware of

(11:11):
that and try to become better, and I'm so proud of you for that
.
But I want you to please ownthat for a minute.
That it's amazing what you'redoing and what you've
accomplished.
Okay, I know you need to make acertain amount of money, so I
know you're sitting there going, yeah, that's great, but I need
to make more money and that'sfine, you can get there.

(11:32):
But just know that everybody'sjourney is different.
You absolutely cannot compareyours to anyone else's.
So let's go through these.
There's three tips that I'mgoing to give you today, and I
really do hope that this changesyour perspective and that you
see that you can get there.
It's just everybody's not onthe same timing.

(11:53):
Okay, it's just like let me saythis first of all, before these
three things it's just like, ifany of you have had kids,
certain ones talk at differentages.
Certain ones crawl at certainages, certain ones you know,
every kid is different exactlywhen they walk.
I know my third child, ava, talked so early.

(12:13):
It was unbelievable.
I mean just really talkative, and I can't remember what the
doctor asked me at like a yearor maybe it was 18 months, like
they had to say some certainamount of words and it was 10,
whatever it was, it was like 10words and I was like I literally
counted the other day and itwas over a hundred.
Like she was just out of thegate, a quick talker.

(12:35):
Okay, other kids are quieterlonger.
I had two other children thatwere more on the normal scale of
when they talked.
Does it mean anything?
No, they're both, they're allthree talking just fine.
Today they talk rather well.
Right, there's no problem withthem talking, it doesn't matter.
They got there but they were ona different timeline.

(12:57):
Okay, so let's go through thesethree things.
Y'all remember that Every kidis different.
Okay, let's remove the shame.
Number one realize that you haveto start at zero and actually a
lot of us start at negative.
We start at negative.
I know when I started thisbusiness, y'all, I was starting

(13:20):
up a coaching business and mypodcast and I invested in a
coach right at the beginning.
I told y'all that for the firsttwo months I had a coach for
eight weeks straight and it wasfantastic, but I had to invest
in things and my equipment andcoaching.
And then I got in some otherprograms.
I got in a podcasting program.
I was starting at negative, soI wasn't even starting at zero,
y'all.
I was starting at negative andit took a while.

(13:43):
It took a while to recoup that.
I don't know exactly when I'dhave to go look at all my data
but it took a while, longer thanI think I wanted, because I was
so used to a product businesswhere you could just like sell
more products and do more thingsand do more shows and get more
revenue.
Like it was totally differentthan my other businesses.
Like I have to actually sellmyself and sell my services.

(14:06):
Everyone starts at a differentnumber.
Some business owners canliterally start at zero, not
invest in anything, and juststart talking around and selling
their services and start makingmoney.
Some have to invest a littlebit maybe it's like $2,000 or
$3,000, and they get sales rightaway and they already make

(14:27):
their money back.
Everybody's different.
I started at way negative.
I think I was closer to maybenegative like $5,000 or or 6,000
in the beginning.
It might have been even morethan that.
Again, y'all, I'm gettingamnesia and I can't remember.
I'd have to look back, but thisis just to make you feel good
that we start at zero.

(14:48):
Some of you, as I said, arewell-connected in your industry
and you have the highest chanceof making a profit really quick,
and so some of those people outthere will make money and if
you're comparing yourself tothem, when you have a totally
different type of business thatyou have to educate people on or

(15:10):
whatever it is, it's going totake a while and that's okay.
That's amazing.
You're putting your heart andsoul into this, but everyone
starts at zero.
You learn how to ride a bike.
You start at zero when you arerunning and you want to run a
marathon.
I mean, you started running atsome point.
Most people haven't beenrunning their whole life, since

(15:32):
they were little.
They had to pick it up.
When I was in my 30s I was like37 or 38, it was the first time
that I was running a halfmarathon.
It was after I had Ava, mythird child, and me and my
sister decided we were going torun a half marathon, and so I
was like, oh my gosh, I can runlike maybe a mile and I had to
work up to that.

(15:52):
It was really hard.
I started at not totally zero, but it felt like zero.
Right, we all start at a zeroand it may take a few years for
you to profit.
Some of you, it may be thefirst year.
Okay, your situation isdifferent than the person's next

(16:13):
to you, but we all start atzero.
When I started this business, Istarted with zero, everything
Zero.
Instagram followers, zeroFacebook group members, zero
email subscribers, zero speakingexperience, zero podcasting
experience, zero coachingexperience.
I started at zero, but I justkept going.

(16:35):
I'm like here we go.
Sorry, this is going to be themost painful part.
It's literally the most painfulpart.
If you get through thebeginning, you're golden.
So many people quit before theyeven start.
Okay.
So remember, you have to startat zero.
Everyone does, okay, but youcan't compare everyone else's,
because some people are actuallystarting at negative, like I

(16:57):
did, and some people are sowell-connected that they make
profit right away, okay.
So that's number one, that youhave to start at zero or even
negative.
You have to.
That's what starting means.
Number two you are in a seasonof life that is determining what

(17:18):
you have time and money forright now, and if you do not own
that, you are hurting yourself, you are sabotaging yourself
because you're in your mind, having this negative self-talk
that your business isn't makingenough and you're ashamed.
And then, when I have coachingcalls with you, I realize you

(17:40):
hardly have any time.
How the heck are you even doingwhat you're doing when you have
a full-time job, you have kidsand you fit this on the weekends
.
You are doing amazing.
You have to fit this businessin your unique season of life.
Do y'all know my clients allhave different seasons of life.

(18:00):
People are different ages.
Some are wanting to retire fromtheir full-time job and do this
business full-time.
Some are working full-time,they have children and they are,
you know, trying to do this onthe weekends and they're helping
with elderly family members.
Some are new parents trying tojuggle a baby, volunteering

(18:24):
everything else that's going onin this business.
Your season of life is totallydifferent than the person next
to you.
So if you are comparingyourself and feeling shame
because your business isn'tmaking the revenue theirs is
again, you are unnecessarilyself-sabotaging yourself.

(18:44):
You are self-sabotaging becauseyou're talking to yourself
negatively about something thatis a totally different situation
.
Their business is totallydifferent than yours.
They sell different stuff.
They're a different season oflife, they have different hours.
They work the whole nine yards.
So what are you doing?
What are you doing talking toyourself so negatively?

(19:06):
Would you talk to a friend asnegative as you talk to yourself
?
Like?
Would you tell your friend likeyou do really stink?
I mean, you are not making anymoney.
And Jane Doe over here ismaking $10,000 a month with her
product business and justbecause you have a service
business and you have kids athome and you're working

(19:26):
full-time, you should be makingas much as her.
And that is not necessarilytrue.
Every, everyone's situation isdifferent.
Y'all, you're being so mean.
You're being so mean toyourself.
Give yourself some grace.
Give yourself some grace.
You are in a season of life thatis going to change, just like
the seasons change, like rightnow we are embarking on spring.

(19:49):
I can feel it.
It's 70 degrees today.
I'm so happy.
I'm in the best mood.
It's sunny.
I'm like oh yes, here we come.
Spring is near.
Let's get excited.
It's a new season.
It's the same with yourbusiness.
You will have a new seasonbecause you will have a
different life state coming up.
You also may pivot what youoffer, and that will bring a new

(20:12):
season.
So there's a lot of things thatbring new seasons and it's
coming, but right now you're ina certain season.
You got to hunker down, justlike in the winter.
Hunker down everybody, getready.
It's cold out, it's going to becold.
We're not going to make thatmuch money, but we're going.
We're doing this.
We're doing what we can withwhat we can, while we can, when

(20:34):
we can, with who we can.
That's what we're doing.
You have to give yourself somegrace and realize that you are
in a specific season that willchange, either due to external
life situations or what you'reactually offering.
Give yourself some grace andstop being ashamed.
Stop comparing yourself toeveryone else.

(20:56):
It's not fair to you, it's notfair to business, it's not fair
to the people that are waitingon you right now.
Okay, let's get to number three.
So number one was remember thateveryone starts at zero, or
even negative zero, like me.
Number two you are in a certainseason of life that will change
, but we have to own this seasonof life.

(21:18):
Okay, number three you areadmired more than people are
looking down on you.
Right?
I don't know the best way tosay that?
You're admired more than you'rebeing looked down upon.
You're the one who's lookingdown upon yourself.

(21:38):
I think people are admiring you.
They're like look at her, go,she's pursuing her passion.
She is trying to still be agreat mother, a great wife, a
great daughter, a great husband.
You may be a man here listeningand you're trying to run your
full-time job and be a dad andstart your business on the side.

(22:02):
Kudos to you.
This is amazing.
You are being admired by thepeople around you.
You don't even know it.
You're the only one that'sridiculing yourself.
Other people are not going.
Oh my gosh, he or she is justnot making any money.
I mean, how ridiculous to havea business that doesn't make

(22:25):
money.
That is not what people aresaying.
They don't know how much moneyyou make.
Okay, right now, at this season, early in your business, they
don't know.
All they know is you're goingfor it.
You're pursuing your dream.
You are helping people througha business, you are getting to

(22:47):
use your creativity, you aremaking a difference in people's
lives, you are impacting theworld and you are on your way to
making the money that you wantto make.
Realize here that everyone has adifferent definition of what is
a successful business in termsof revenue.

(23:09):
Now we could go talk about onthe tangent of what makes a
successful business.
It's not all about the money, and we know that.
We're not talking about thattoday.
I'm saying we all have adifferent yardstick.
Some people are excited with$500 a month.
That's what I was excited forwhen I started my online
boutiques.
I'm like, literally, if I canprofit $500 a month, I'm jumping

(23:29):
up and down right.
Then it got more and more astime went on.
For you, it might be $1,000 amonth is like amazing.
$1,000 profit, it's awesome.
Others of you it's $2,000.
It's $4,000.
It's $5,000.
Maybe it's $10,000.
That's what you need, right?
But you are admired not becauseof that money, because you're

(23:53):
probably not walking aroundtelling everyone or wearing a
sign that says I'm only makingthis much money each month.
I mean it might be freeing ifwe did.
Actually, I'm sitting herethinking about it like wouldn't
it be awesome?
You just wearing to be like, yeah, this is what I'm making,
but we're not.
We're actually not.
Nobody knows unless you tellthem.

(24:15):
And if you tell them and yousay, yeah, I'm only making X
amount a month, which they'regoing to be like that's amazing.
It's more than they're makingwith a business because they
don't have a business.
Stop being ashamed of it.
Start being strategic about howyou're going to fix it, about

(24:42):
how you're going to fix it.
Stop being ashamed.
Start being strategic about howyou're going to make more.
But sometimes you just have aplan and it takes a while until
it breaks.
Sometimes it takes a few years.
Amazon took 14 years, but theyknew that.
I know that.
They knew that.
I know that they knew maybethey reached it faster.
Maybe they thought it was gonnabe 20 years, maybe they thought
it was gonna be 10 years and itwas 14.
I don't know, I'd have to readup on it.

(25:02):
But my point is sometimesthat's part of the plan, because
you're having to switchpeople's behavior.
You're having to change the waythat they do something or to
enlighten them on a new product.
For a lot of you, if that's thecase, it does take a while.
Amazon was shifting everyonefrom going in stores and not

(25:23):
trusting online at the time tostart trusting this online
source.
That's going to get it to youreally quick.
They had to shift people'sbehavior.
If your business is shiftingbehavior or is introducing a new
genre, a new type of productthat people didn't know about,
it takes a while.

(25:43):
It takes a while and create aplan.
Be strategic and say, by thistime we should be profitable or
we should be making X amount, but don't be ashamed of it.
People are looking at you rightnow going, how awesome is he or
she that she had thewherewithal and the tenacity to

(26:08):
pursue a business.
I wish I could start mybusiness, but I'm scared.
I guarantee you that's whatpeople are saying.
They have so much fear aroundstarting a business because they
don't know what.
We know that you can startsuper simple, super easy, super
low cost.
If you would like to, there areways I can help you and you can

(26:29):
get going.
And it's not that scary.
You're not.
You're not mortgaging your home, you're not taking out a half a
million dollar loan if you'redoing it this way.
And you're not opening a store.
Y'all know I never opened astore, so I don't know what all
that takes.
But my point is you are beingadmired more than you are being
judged, and I think you thinkyou're being judged.

(26:49):
You're actually being admiredby your family members, by your
spouses, not spouses.
Do you have multiple spouses?
You know what I mean?
I'm saying all of you, yourspouses.
Hopefully, you only have onespouse, each Right family

(27:16):
members.
You are being admired byfriends, colleagues and other
entrepreneurs that you blesswith your presence.
I can't tell you how awesome itis in my group coaching
programs to see otherentrepreneurs help other
entrepreneurs and support themand motivate them.
It has been the most amazingthing to watch.
You are admired for what you aredoing.
So stop judging yourself.
People are not judging you.
People are not judging you.

(27:37):
They admire you for this.
So let's review Y'all.
Stop the shame.
Tell yourself that you're goingto stop the shame today about
not making whatever revenue youthink you should be making.
Number one everybody starts atzero.
They really do At some point.
You start at zero.
Number two you are in aspecific season of life that
