In this episode of Shoujo Sundae, Chika, Giana, and Phoenix of The Anime Tea review episodes forty-four through forty-six of Fruits Basket (2019)! In episode forty-four, Tohru is determined to team up with Rin to find a way to break the Sohma’s curse. Eventually, Tohru is able to console Rin. In episode forty-five, Tohru’s class decides to put on a performance of Cinderella for the cultural festival, but the casting choices they made were very interesting to say the least. Machi makes a mess of the student council room. Manabe and Yuki open up to one another about their struggles. In episode forty-six, we learn how Yuki truly feels about Tohru and finally find out exactly what happened the morning he led Tohru back to her mother when they were children. We also see pieces of Yuki’s childhood playout and the significant role Akito and his mother played in traumatizing him.
