Live from my backyard going fora walk with Zali.
Hey, zali, zali, april, wouldyou like a story?
Yeah, okay.
(00:20):
One day a little girl named Zaliwas going for a walk down by a
creek.
As she was walking along theedge of the creek, she started
to hear a noise.
What's that?
She thought as she walked overto have a look.
When she got close, she couldsee something was swimming in
(00:40):
the creek.
What is that?
She thought.
She looked very, very closely,closely.
Yeah, it was.
Oh hello, said a voice.
Why is there a tiger in ourcreek?
Said Zali.
All of a sudden, the tigerclimbed out.
Hey, hey, zali, is that you?
Um, yes, said Zali.
(01:02):
How did you know my name?
Well, said the little tiger, Ihave been waiting for you to
come down here for ages.
It's very special that you'recoming down.
Are you excited to come for anadventure with me?
What do you mean, said Zali.
I didn't know I was coming onan adventure with you.
Yeah, that's why your mummytold you to come for a walk down
here.
Really, said Zali.
(01:24):
She looked back at the houseand there was her mummy waving.
Have fun, zali.
Enjoy playing with Tiger PalHooray, said Zali Okay, well, I
guess I'll come on an adventurewith you.
That sounds like fun.
Where are we going?
Well, first things first, weneed to make a little raft.
(01:44):
Really, said Zali.
Yeah, let's do it.
So Zali and Tiger Power startedto look for things to make a
raft.
They looked around near thecreek to see what they could
find.
Zali found some sticks andTiger Power found some leaves
and some branches and theystarted putting them all
together.
(02:04):
Yeah, so they tied the leavesand sticks and branches together
until it made a raft.
It looks good, said Zali.
Yeah, said Tiger Pear.
Now we need a way of making itgo super duper fast.
What said Zali?
Don't rafts just float down theriver?
Yeah, some rafts do, but ourraft is going to go super duper
(02:26):
fast, so we need to find a wayto make it do that.
As they were trying to work outthe way to make it go the
fastest, zali noticed somethingin the creek.
Um, tigerpow, what's that overthere?
He looked across.
Um, it looks like.
Hey, there's some ducks, saidZali.
Hey, there's some ducks, saidZali.
So Tiger Power and Zali wentover to say hello to the ducks.
(02:49):
Um, hello, duckies, said Zali.
Hoi, said Tiger Power.
Hello, said one of the ducks.
Um, what are you doing?
Well, we saw that you weremaking a raft and we thought
maybe we could help.
Really said Z, help.
Really said Zali.
Really said the duck.
Hooray, said Tiger Power.
Um, how were you thinking ofhelping?
(03:11):
Well, we are really goodswimmers and we can swim really,
really, really fast.
So maybe we could help makeyour raft go really, really,
really fast.
Really, said Zali.
Really said the duckies.
So Zali and Tiger Pal climbedonto the raft and four little
ducks came and sat at the back.
(03:31):
Alright, are you ready?
Said one of the ducks.
Um, I guess so, said Zali.
Maybe she said Um, definitely, said Tiger Pal.
One, two, two, three, go.
She yelled.
And as she yelled go, all ofthe duckies started to kick
their feet and the raft startedto head off down the creek super
(03:56):
duper fast, yelled Tiger Pal.
As the raft was going superfast.
How do we steer?
Yelled Zali.
Um, I'm not really sure, saidTiger Power.
Um, try leaning.
So Zali and Tiger Power triedleaning from side to side.
And as they did, sure enough, the raft started to turn.
(04:17):
Hooray, yelled Tiger Power.
Zali and Tiger Power wereflying down the river.
So, so fast.
Um, what are we gonna do next, said Zali and Tiger Power were
flying down the river, so sofast.
Um, what are we gonna do next, said.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Zali.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Well, we're almost up
to the right section.
What do you mean?
The right section?
Said Zali.
Look.
Zali looked ahead and, sureenough, in the middle of the
creek was a whole bunch of Arethey jumps.
She said Yippee, said TigerPower.
So they blasted down the creekstraight towards the jumps.
(04:49):
As they hit the first jump, theramp went into the air and
started flying through the sky.
The little duckies on the backwere still holding on and they
spread out their wings as theystarted to fly through the air.
Zali was amazed.
This is a flying raft as well.
Well, it kind of glides, aslong as the ducks keep their
wings open.
I'm gonna shut mine, said oneof the ducks.
(05:11):
What Said Tiger Pal?
The ducky shut his wings andthe raft dropped back into the
water.
Whoa, said Zali.
Look, look up ahead.
Here comes another jump.
All right, said Zali, hold on.
As they zoomed towards the nextjump, they flew back up into the
air and they were flying aroundonce again.
(05:32):
This time the duckies usedtheir wings to turn from side to
side as they flew through theair.
It was amazing.
Um, can we try something?
Said Zali.
What's that?
Said Tiger Power.
Um, for the next jump.
Actually, I'm not going to tellyou, said Zali.
She turned around and startedwhispering to the ducks.
What do you tell them?
(05:56):
Said Tiger Power.
Um, I can't tell you, said Zali, but I suggest you hold on.
As the raft went flying downtowards the last jump, it zoomed
in super quick and then hit thejump and as it did, two of the
ducks turned their wingssideways.
What, yelled Tiger Power?
As the raft started to goaround and around and around,
(06:20):
spinning and twirling throughthe sky.
"'what's happening' said TigerPal.
"'uh-oh', said Zali.
"'i think we're gonna land'".
The raft landed upside down andZali and Tiger Pal got
saturated.
When they popped back up out ofthe water, they were laughing
and laughing, and the ducks weregiggling too "' was so much fun
(06:42):
, said Tiger Pal.
I know, said Zali, that was thebest.
Alright, zali, but we betterget you back home.
Hey, duckies, can you go superspeed?
Hang on, said one of the ducks.
I'll try getting some morefriends.
So the ducks all started tocall as loud as they could.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Quack, quack, quack,
quack, quack, quack, quack,
quack, quack, quack.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
And with that more
and more ducks came from
everywhere.
Until there were so many ducksbehind the raft, zali could
hardly even see the creekanymore.
Are you ready, said Tiger Pal.
I don't think so, said Zali.
Well, you better hang on.
So, oh so, zali and Tiger Palhold on as tightly.
(07:25):
Oh, hang on, you know ready?
Zali and Tiger Pal held on astightly as they could.
Three, two, one go.
The raft took off and the duckskicked their flappers as quick
as they could Whack, whack, whack, whack, whack as they
could.
It was like a speedboat zoomingup the creek so so fast,
speedier and speedier.
(07:46):
The whole time, zali and TigerPal would lean from side to side
to side to try and keep it inthe middle of the creek.
Occasionally they even got lostand it went up on the side.
Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.
Wow, said Zali, as they bumpedover the edge and back down into
the creek again.
Hold on, said Tiger Pal, we'realmost there.
Look, there's a super jump.
What, said Zali?
(08:06):
They could see one big finalramp that was heading straight
towards their house.
Hold on, said Tiger Pal.
So Zali and Tiger Pal held onas tightly as they could as they
zoomed towards the ramp andthey hit it on as tightly as
they could.
As they zoomed towards the rampand they hit it, they went
flying so high into the air.
We're going too high, said Zali.
We're going over my house.
(08:27):
Jump, said one of the ducks.
Um, okay, said Zali.
So she jumped off the side ofthe raft and two of the duckies
grabbed her and they flappedtheir wings and held her all the
way down and dropped her backat the back door.
Her mummy was sitting therewaiting and she looked across.
Zali, how did you get here?
(08:48):
She said, did those ducks dropyou off?
And what have you been doing?
Well, said Zali, I don't thinkyou'd believe me, even if I told
you.
And that is the end of thestory.
(09:09):
