On August 22, 1922 Los Angeles, California, police arrived at the Oesterreich home after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots.  They found wealthy businesses man Fred Oesterreich laying on the floor shot and his wife Dolly locked in a closet.  She told officers that an unknown man had trapped her and attacked her husband during a robbery in their home.  Right away investigators were suspicious of the scene, but it would take years before they learned the truth about Fred’s murder.  What they discovered was unbelievable-something only movies are made of...
