Ligaya recently retired from the AJC after a decade and this is her first interview detailing this major change!
Ligaya’s publishing career spans 20 years, and includes writing and editing food, travel, recreational and art stories for newspapers and magazines as well as editing memoirs, works of fiction and foreign language textbooks. She holds bachelor's degrees in English and Spanish from St. Louis University and a master's in Spanish from the University of Michigan.
