What if the divine help you've been seeking is right at your fingertips? This riveting episode embarks on an inspiring journey towards understanding the power of seeking divine assistance. Through intimate conversations around Psalm 121, we realize that God is not only our ever-present aide, but also the force that keeps us steady amidst life's storms.

But, that's just the beginning. God, we recognize, is not a distant force - He is an intimate friend, a far cry from the aloof divinity many fear. We delve into ways to solidify our bond with Him, from simply inviting Him into our daily decisions to maintaining a prayer journal that keeps his constant presence alive in our minds. And then, we switch gears to talk about the art of teaching in His ways, drawing from scriptures that inspire us to reach out to those around us with His love.

The take-home message? God is here to guide and comfort us, if only we remember to turn to Him. This episode isn't just a discussion. It's an invitation to deepen your spiritual relationship and find solace in His divine help.

We invite you to be part of our transformative online Weekly Prayer Live sessions. This sacred gathering provides a space for heartfelt prayers, reflection, and connection. Don't miss this opportunity to nourish your soul and embark on a journey of spiritual growth.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Good morning.
Good morning, welcome back toanother Thursday.
Come out of the wildernessprayer.
I'm back, y'all is Shelley andI just wanted to say man, god is
so good.
I feel like I'm having a littlebit of an out of body
experience this morning.
I'm just going to bring y'allinto it, but before we go
further, I wanted to just say, lord, just have your way.

(00:42):
Holy Spirit, this is your space, your place and whatever it is
that you have to show us andteach us.
We want that.
So, for those of y'all who arewatching, and just ask you to
just pause where you are rightnow and just thank the Lord for
this day.
Thank the Lord that he'sbrought you here.
If you're listening to thislive, or you're catching the

(01:03):
replay, or you're listening tothis on the podcast later this
week, wherever you get yourpodcast, you're meant to hear
this message and, as one that isreally filled with love and
hope and you know, I'm justexcited for what the Holy Spirit
is going to do so I pray thatthe Holy Spirit will will speak

(01:24):
to your heart in the way thatyou need to hear from him, so
that you'll get what you needout of this these next 10, 15
minutes with me, okay, or have along we go.
I also want to say good morningeverybody who's watching on a
different platform so Facebook, linkedin, youtube, x, forming
the known as Twitter anddefinitely want to say hi to the

(01:47):
folks who are watching live onParade Deck TV, live on their
fake channel.
So, good morning everybody andmake sure, good morning.
I can't see names, so here's aquick shout out God bless it.
Yes, good morning everybody.
So today we're going to betalking about help and a lot of
us, at some point in our lives,we need help.

(02:09):
So, whether you're a momhelping a child or a dad helping
your kids, your family, maybeyou're someone in a job helping
a coworker or maybe, quitefrankly, is just you and your
situation.
Okay, maybe it's just you andyou need some help.
I'm going to talk to you abouta script, and I know I've

(02:30):
covered this before.
I know I've talked about some121 before.
Good morning, good morning.
But there is always I don'tcare how strong you are, I don't
care how smart you are, I don'tcare how anointed you are, I
don't care how blessed you areyou are going to come into a
season where you need help andyou're definitely going to come

(02:54):
into a season where you needsupernatural help or you need
help from the Lord, where menmeaning us humans can't give you
what you need.
And when you come to that pointin your journey because, again,
this is this is life, this iswhen life is life in I want to
share a couple of a couple ofpassages.

(03:17):
So we're going to go into Psalm121.
I'm going to share my screen, but I'm going to walk you
through just a couple ofpassages that truly have blessed
me and what the Lord showed memany, many years ago.
Honestly, I think my mom islong past, but I believe I got
Psalm 121 from her.
She wrote out this is a coolthing to do for parents,

(03:40):
especially parents of teens.
She just wrote out about fiveor six scriptures that I've kept
with me for many, many years, and they were just ones that I
could go back and lean on when Ineeded help.
So this is one of those legacytype help that I'll be sharing
with y'all.
Okay, all right, so I'm goingto present my screen, because it

(04:02):
is just easier that way If youdon't have your Bibles in front
of you.
That's all good.
And so I'm going to share andI'm going to come out of the ESV
version, because that's how Iroll, and we're going to go into
Psalm 121.
And I'm going to read this out,but I want you to receive this.
I want you to really receivethis with your heart.
I want you to think about or,yeah, no, think about.

(04:26):
You know, as you're hearingthese words, as I'm releasing
the scripture to you, thatyou're placing yourself in front
of the Lord and this is yourprayer to Him.
I want you to open your heartso that you can hear what he's
telling you directly and notnecessarily what I'm saying.
I want you to hear from Him andnot me, right?
So, psalm 121,.

(04:48):
I lift up my eyes to the hills, for where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth, and
so we're going to pause righthere.
I love this reassurance and areminder, because a lot of times
, we are looking for our help tocome from friends.
We're looking for our help tocome from our bosses.
We are looking for our help, for our help to come from even

(05:09):
doctors, you know even.
You know professionals indifferent fields.
Right, we're looking formanmade help, and there are
going to be situations.
Yes, you will get help in thatway, but there are going to be
some times when you need youneed more than that.
Okay, you need the Creator, notthe creation, to help you.
Does that make sense?

(05:30):
So my help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
The word says that he will notlet your foot be moved.
I love that because sometimeshe's put you in specific
situations and you want, youreally want, to stay on that
path, and when I think about myfoot not being moved, it means

(05:50):
that I'm aligned.
I'm still in alignment to thepath and journey that he has me
on.
There are times when you're onthat path and things are going
to come to stir up stuff.
There are tests that come, there are adversities that come,
there are things that come tokind of shake you.
Life is lifeing right, like Isaid, but he won't let you fall
off the path.
What he's called you to do,what he's created you to be all

(06:12):
of those things he will not letyour foot be moved.
He who keeps you will notslumber.
He's not sleeping right, he'swoke, as the kids say.
All right, he's always, he'shere, he's available all the
time.
And the word goes to say behold, he who keeps Israel will
neither slumber nor sleep.
Right, the Lord is your keeper.

(06:34):
The Lord is your shade at yourright hand.
Your right hand is a hand ofauthority and power.
So he's the shade on your right, your shade on your right hand.
And when I think about that, the shade on my right hand means
like hey, he's literally rightthere, he's a shade on my right
hand.
The sun shall not strike you byday, or the moon by night.
So nothing that's happening, whether it's you know in full

(06:57):
view or it's happening in secretat night, where you can't see
it right, none of those things.
The sun shall not strike you byday or the moon by night.
Why?
Because he's our keeper.
The Lord will keep you from allevil.
He will keep your life, he willkeep you from your going out,
your coming in.
From this time forth andforevermore, he will keep you.

(07:18):
He will keep you, he will keepyou.
There are times when you justneed to remember that.
Man, lord, I thank you thatyou're going to keep me from all
evil.
I thank you that you're goingto keep me from wherever I'm
going, going to where I'm comingfrom.
I thank you that you're theshade on my right hand, right,
you'll never leave me.
You never leave me.
So this is Psalm 121.

(07:39):
I want to just share this one.
I have another Psalm that Iwanted to cover with y'all, but
this one, I think, is sopowerful when you're in that
place where it's not a situationwhere you need man-made help,
you really need to go to, again, like I say, you need to go to
the Creator, the creation.
All right, so now let me showyou another one, another Psalm

(08:03):
that has been really helpful forme, and this is another
powerful reminder.
This is Psalm 54, esv versionthat I'm sharing for those who
are going to be listening to thepodcast later this week.
Psalm 54 goes this way says ohGod, save me by your name, save

(08:24):
me by your name and vindicate meby your might.
Save me by your name.
A lot of believers, you know, wesay you know by your name and
we call on the name of Jesus andlisten.
A lot of us, you know, use itlike it's a comma in a sentence.
You know, just saying Jesusdoesn't get you everything.

(08:47):
It's not a genie, that's nothow it works.
There is power actually in thename of Jesus and so, saving by
your name when I think about orwhat the Holy Spirit tells me
about saving me by your name.
When I say save me by your name, it's understanding the
authority that the Lord has overmy life, which means I would

(09:08):
have had a surrendered life.
So when I'm calling on him tosave me, he recognized who I am
because I had alreadysurrendered myself to him.
Imagine if you're drowningliterally in water and you're
yelling save me, save me.
And you know folks are walkingby.
As a difference, when you callsave me, save me, and he says
save me, and Rike.
And Rike is walking by and Rikerecognizes me.

(09:29):
He knows my voice and heresponds Save me by your name,
save me Jesus.
And he recognizes me.
I know his name and he saves me.
Right, so think about it thatway.
And he says vindicate me byyour might, and again, not me,
not my power by your might.
Oh God, hear my prayer and giveears to the words of my mouth

(09:51):
Like what are we saying y'all?
For strangers have risen upagainst me.
Ruthless men seek my life.
They do not set God beforethemselves.
So these are situations whereyou have it could be spiritual
enemies, literally.
You know you could be goingthrough those types of attacks,
or it could be just y'all, itcould just be people.
It could just be people youknow who are kind of scheming

(10:12):
against you all kinds of crazystuff happening or just
situations, right.
But verse four reminds us God isour helper.
He's the upholder of my life.
He will return the evil to myenemies y'all.
You don't have to try to figureout how you're going to do
payback.
You don't have to figure out.
You know, someone slided me andI got to figure out how I'm
going to get back to him.

(10:33):
You don't have to traffic inthat mess.
Just know that the Lord isgoing to take care of it.
He is my helper.
He's literally upholding mylife.
But why am I fighting thingsthat he's got covered?
Why are you doing that?
He will return the evil to myenemies and in his faithfulness
he puts an end to that.
He's faithful With a free,willing offering.

(10:56):
I will sacrifice to you.
What are you sacrificing to theLord?
Listen, this free will offeringthat we're talking about right
here.
It's not your cash, it's not acash app to Jesus.
It's not how many times you goto church, it's not what
building you worship in, it'snot how fancy, how beautiful you
look in the best church output.
It's none of that.

(11:17):
That offering comes from yourheart.
That's your heart.
That's a heart posture, that'sliterally a heart posture.
And giving your heart to him, that's what he wants A free will
offering.
Not coming to the Lord like, well, I guess, because I need
your help, I'm going to have to.
It's not.
It's freely, freely, freelygiving your heart.

(11:38):
I will sacrifice to you and Iwill give thanks to your name.
There are again, there are timeswhen we're going through some
things recalling on the Lord forhelp, and it's so amazing that
the more you praise him, themore you hear from him, the more
he blesses you, even in thesesituations that you're in.
So I will give thanks to yourname, oh Lord, because?
Why?
Because it is good and he hasdelivered me from every trouble

(12:02):
and my eye has looked in triumphon my enemies.
He's delivered you from some ofthe things that you're going
through right now.
He's already answered thoseprayers and if we pause and ask,
like Holy Spirit, I ask, holySpirit, hey, bring back to
memory, because sometimes theLord saves us some stuff.
We forget about it and then wecome back and go.

(12:23):
You know I'm in this situationagain and you know, sometimes
it's just so amazing the waythat he'll bring back to memory
that I have never left you, Iwill not forsake you.
You start doing those, rememberwhen, keep a journal if you
need to, if you need to documentwhen the Lord has pulled you
through some things, so you havea way to go back and remember
when, so that you know you don'tlose hope and you don't lose

(12:45):
faith.
We again, I said I started outby saying we all need help.
When I started, before I startedthe live, I was in my you know,
my own, my own worship.
I've been asking the Lord for abetter relationship, a better
relationship with the HolySpirit.
I want.
I want to have the kind ofrelationship that is more

(13:08):
tangible, that he is involvedand for real, everything.
I want him as a friend.
I know the Lord as a Lord and Iwant the Lord as my friend and
I just encourage y'all to dothat.
One of the things that I findmyself doing now is just having
regular conversations, you know, coming out of the religious,

(13:28):
religious atmosphere that weplace in not the building, y'all
, because you go to church, butyou got to come into the parking
lot.
You eventually got to leave thebuilding.
But I want to have a betterrelationship with the Lord.
I want I want to know who he isand I want to know how he sees
me through his eyes not what theworld says about me, but what
he says about me.

(13:49):
I want to understand myidentity and my calling and my
purpose, because I want to dosome things in this earth before
I'm removed from this earth.
I want to leave this place abetter place than I find it.
I want to be a better pat, acolleague.
I want to be a better friend.
I want to be a better wife andmom.
I want to minister in adifferent way.
I want to teach his word.

(14:10):
I want him.
But all of those things that I'msaying, that I want, none of it
happens without the Holy Spirit.
So I'm encouraging you don'tjust go to the Bible.
What I do, like cold, where youjust grab a chapter, you go
through some things, you grab achapter, you jump into the word
and and that's you know it's notmagic.
You have to have a relationshipwith the Lord and the way that

(14:30):
you do that is is opening yourheart and if it starts with and
I know you know a lot of usbecause we are going through so
much.
People are going through somethings right now.
There's a lot of people who arein waiting mode and there's a
lot of people are waiting tohear from the Lord, a lot of
people waiting to hear from Lordon the health issue and their

(14:51):
businesses, on their jobs andtheir families.
There's a lot going on rightnow and if you're in this state
right now in your life whereyou're waiting to hear from the
Lord and you're crying out, lord, help me, help me.
I don't want you to lose hopethat he's not hearing you.
He's hearing your cry, but Iwant to.
I just want to caution and andand say to you it is your heart

(15:13):
posture, it is the way thatyou're entering into these ask.
Sometimes what you're thinkingis a test and a challenge.
It's really a blessing.
Sometimes those, sometimesthose nos are meant to bless you
and when you get that, no, Idon't want you to lose hope.
Just know that all things areworking together for your good,
for those who are called, thereis a, there is a comma and some

(15:37):
rest of them, some other stuff.
To that, to that verse right.
And in order for you to receiveand understand all of these good
things that are coming to you,you have to have a heart posture
and got to have a relationshipwith the Lord.
It's more than listening to meon a podcast.
It's way more than going intochurch on Wednesday night prayer
.
It's more than all of that.
You have to come into apersonal relationship with the

(16:01):
Lord.
I can talk about Jesus forhours, I promise you, because I
have a relationship and becausehe demonstrates.
The Holy Spirit is alwaysdemonstrating for me through
other people, through situations, through encounters, through
all of those things.
That is because I have a heartposture where I genuinely ask
for him.
Holy Spirit, I want to see youwork.

(16:21):
Today, lord, I'm going throughsome things and I really need
your help.
I don't know what to do, but,oh, I thank you that you're
going to come into thissituation and teach me something
and I bless you and praise yourname, even if I don't
understand it, lord.
I thank you, lord, that allthings are working together for
my good and I thank you that youlove me.
That is a different heartposture when you're going in and
crying for help and don't waittill you need help, to ask for

(16:44):
help.
I'm asking the Holy Spirit whatshould I wear today?
What should I eat?
What are we going?
How are we going to show up?
You know, he really wants to bea part of your every day, not
just your problems.
He wants to be a part of yourlife.
So I really hope this blessesthis was.
This was a short message, butthis is what he gave me.
There's a lot of us who arestanding in need right now of

(17:06):
help.
Help comes from the Lord and, yes, he will send men and women
around you.
He'll send what I call divinehelp to help you.
Right, he will send heavenlyassistance, he will send help.
But you got to be in the heartposture where you actually first
do believe that he loves you,do believe that he loves you.

(17:27):
And if you believe that heloves you, you'll understand
that he's not put you in asituation to break you.
This situation that you're inis not going to break you.
These challenges and the seasonthat you're in is not meant to
destroy you.
It's meant to build you.
It's meant to draw you closerinto a relationship with him so
he can show you how he works.

(17:47):
Amen, y'all.
What a blessed day.
So thank you so much, y'all.
We're going to close out inprayer.
Lord, we just thank you, thankyou for reminding us of the
heart posture that we need aswe're crying out to you for help
because, lord, I know youalways answer.
You answer all the time, holySpirit.
I ask that you will open theirears and eyes so that they can

(18:08):
hear more clearly, hear moreclearly from you and see you in
full operation, so that they'llknow and they'll have a stronger
spirit of discernment tounderstand when you're sending
help and what help actuallylooks like.
So remind us that you're thekeeper, right, you're the keeper
, lord, and we just thank youfor keeping us in every
situation that we're in.

(18:29):
I pray over everyone who iswatching, whether it's the live
or the replay, whatever they'restanding in need.
I stand in that gap now, lord, god, and I ask that you will
touch their hearts and theirlives, father, if it's material
things, if it's financial things, if it's health, whatever it is
that will become a distractionand remove them from you.
I ask that you remove everysingle distraction.

(18:50):
Anything that has been placedin front of them that becomes a
distraction.
Lord, I ask that you remove itso that they can see the glory
that you want to see in theirlives, that they will see you
the way that you see them, andthat you'll provide.
Lord, you know hungry belliescan't hear you, so I pray over
every family, lord, god, whoneeds you financially right now,

(19:12):
people who are sufferingbecause they have that kind of
lack.
Lord, we are human, lord, andhungry bellies can't hear you,
so I pray that you will justfeel their hearts as you feel
their stomachs, lord, becausethey need to give your, their
full attention to you, and weare so easily distracted.
So I pray for the materialneeds for everyone under my
voice, so that they will justcome to see your blessing today,

(19:35):
lord, today.
Thank you, lord, for thisplatform and I thank you that
everyone who is watching willwill receive what they need from
you.
Amen, all right, amen.
Y'all.
