This is Part 2 of my conversation with Leta Herman. Things get deep on this side of the chat, and I'm certain it'll spark a serious interest in Daoism for you. It sure did for me, and I'm still amazed.

Leta is an author, Chinese Medicine instructor and practitioner, host of the Inspired Action Podcast, and co-founder of Born Perfect, a new media company. She offers a wide range of energetic acupressure and Alchemy treatments based on the principles of ancient Chinese Medicine.

A former journalist and syndicated columnist, Leta most recently released her new book on alchemy, Through The Mystery Gate. She has also written three others: The Energy of Love, Connecting Your Circle, and The Big “Little” Gua Sha Book.

Leta completed and continues to study advanced principles in Chinese Medicine with Master Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th Generation Daoist priest and Chinese Medicine master.

Her acupressure practice is very unique and diverse, focusing on ancient Chinese healing practices that are largely unknown today in the Western culture. People travel from around the world to her clinic to do intensive Alchemical work.

In Part 2, listen as we discuss:

  • Why fire types are the best storytellers
  • Knowing your relationship to the Five Elements is to know who you are energetically
  • The Nine Palaces, or the nine difficulties of life, and the importance of balancing them
  • The Dao perspective and the enlightened wisdom of Lao Tzu
  • Mastering the skill of wisdom so that being you is second nature
  • Going through the Mystery Gate, or parting the veil
  • The first stage of alchemy? Simplicity, or making your life easier.
  • Next steps? Unloading your baggage and living spontaneously.
  • Step five: being wiser and not needing to be right all the time.
  • Step six: flying in your life, or trusting everything is unfolding as it should.
  • Steps seven-nine: morphing, the ninja phase, and rematerializing.
  • Is this all metaphorical or literal?
  • Leta's new book, Through the Mystery Gate
  • The fear of death is the root of all fear.
  • Dying before you die.
