Cultures truly exist everywhere. Whatever "norms" your friend group has, how your family functions and relates to each other, even the hierarchy of who in a meeting is allowed to speak and when- it's all culture. But what do we do when we discover unhealthy places of settled culture in our lives?
Truthfully, you can't steward what you won't claim to own and you can't change environments you're not invested in. If you want to affect the cultures around you then you have to look at what you bring to them. In today's episode, we're taking some responsibility and seeing how to build new cultural norms through empathy, language, and healthy dialogue.
