Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's one thing to
stay home all day.
She's not going to stay homeand cook and clean.
You usually get this microwavedinner and a baddie wife.
Hello, party people, welcome orwelcome back to another
fun-filled edition of SoFloor.
I'm your host, jett, viewingand reviewing the Sylvia Seguin
Primetime Storylines of 1981.
We are rolling into the finaleof Dallas at warp speed and I
(00:25):
got a feeling this is going tobe a real, real good one.
So, whether you're new to thisor true to this, sit back and
enjoy.
Tell the kids it's time to playoutside or on site.
Tell babe, no questions, suggestions or concerns for the
next 25 to 35 minutes.
Everyone else in earshot, cool, quiet or kicked out are your
only options, because we arewatching our story.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys andgirls, this is so cool.
(00:50):
What's up?
Party people, welcome back toanother fun little vision of so
poor.
I hope your day is shaping upwell.
I am living my very best lifefor the moment, working my way
(01:10):
through what will soon be thefinale of Dallas.
So good, so many life lessonshere, so many sort of moments
and just kind of an interestingstudy of human nature.
People do weird stuff when theydon't realize.
You realize what they're doing.
I remember babysitting this kidgrowing up.
(01:31):
He was so, so cute, georgie, and he would.
So he was really cool andreally mellow for the most part,
but every now and then he'dthrow a fit.
And you could always tell whenhe threw a fit because it's like
he would, uh, he'd go grabsomething and then he'd look
around you.
It's almost like he was lookingfor something, an object.
(01:52):
But the reality is Georgie wasnot about to throw a fit and
bust his head.
See, he did that one time, justfell backward, busted his head
on the side of his toy box.
It hurt, all to be.
I suppose he decided that wasnot his life anymore, ever again
.
So he would kind of make acouple laps around the room,
make sure he found a clear spot, and then he'd gently lower
(02:17):
himself to the ground and thencommit to thrashing and flailing
around and screaming a littlebit to improve his point.
But he had to make sure thecoast was clear first, because
what does he look like having acontention?
And then now I'm crying forreal.
Now I'm pissed off and I have aheadache, kind of what you see
on this episode with JR.
(02:38):
He is looking for a reason tocrash out.
He's looking for the perfectopportunity to blow up, but he's
got to make that space.
So go ahead and grab yourselfsomething bubbly, delightful and
bright.
I would highly recommend, ifyou're in the grocery store,
pick up that dollar can ofwhatever man.
So this is called a SplashRefresher.
(03:02):
This is what it's called Splashrefresher sparkling kiwi,
watermelon oh, it tastes likesummer.
So good, let's go ahead anddive into Dallas.
Season four, episode 19, theGathering Storm.
So when last we left, jr haddeduced that Leslie Stewart
(03:23):
would only bump and grind withhim if he divorced Sue Ellen.
So what does he do?
He ponders this for a littlebit.
Mind you, this man has sleptwith all of Dallas, but he
thinks about it.
He goes home and we're going toknow it.
Sue Ellen is just being soobnoxious.
She is not barking all throughthe house pissing off people.
No, she is quietly sitting inher bedroom in a luxurious silk
(03:45):
gown.
Hair did, nails did, makeup did, looking fly in bed for no
reason Having breakfast.
She has a nerve to be eatingtoast with jelly that somebody
clearly brought to her on hertray because she's classy like
that, can you believe it?
No crumbs in the bed.
No, nothing Minding herbusiness.
She's not reading the paper, she's not talking to anybody.
(04:07):
She is just sitting enjoying adelicious piece of toast and he
comes in and he's like, oh mygod, every time I turn around
you in the bed looking for areason, and she's like, okay,
how you doing?
Jr doing a lot better if youweren't just sitting there.
I feel like every time I lookat you now you're laying in bed
(04:28):
I don't even know why I botherwith you, why I married you in
the first place.
Overstosed y'all this is.
I mean, this has got to be 8.30in the morning.
Sue Ellen is far too busyindulging in that delicious jam
and I like to think you know, sometimes I like to sprinkle a
little zest on the show In myhead.
She lives in Dallas.
Perhaps the state fair justhappened.
There's a million and tendifferent handmade jams In my
(04:51):
mind.
She's enjoying like a jalapenofig jam, just something
delicious Jalapeno fig jam witha little bit of lemon zest.
It's way too fire for her toget fired up this early in the
morning.
So he's.
I don't even know why I marriedyou and she goes.
Well, memory served mecorrectly, I wasn't gonna have
(05:12):
sex with you until you did so.
I mean it was important to youthen.
I think that's why you did itcompletely unfazed, as if she
just is, as if he just asked herhey, where are my socks?
Uh, left drawer, top corner.
You'll be all right, but itdoes provide an insight into his
mind.
When he becomes obsessed withsomeone Deeply, he's willing to
(05:33):
move heaven and earth to getthem.
Now, this is odd.
Is he willing to divorce tomarry another woman?
Leslie Stewart looks classyenough to me to eat jam, eat
breakfast in bed on a tray too, probably also in a silk robe.
I mean, do you want that twice?
Maybe he does.
So he storms out.
But now before saying Sue Ellen, you know, the less we say to
each other, the better, shedon't give a damn at this point.
(05:56):
She got a date with Clint later.
It is what it is.
Feel how you feel.
Jr.
She is completely unbothered,so he.
They are.
She is completely unbothered.
So he goes down the hallway.
John ross is chilling in hisfever dream of a bedroom on the
carpet, playing with a few toys, having a good old time with him
and his nanny.
His dad comes in, excuses.
The nanny lays on the floor.
He's like hey, john ross howyou doing and I swear to you the
(06:19):
baby's babbling.
But I swear he's like I'm doingokay, but he goes.
Well, you know me and you gonnabe spending a lot more time
together, boy, because your mamaprobably ain't going to be
around At some point.
I swear the baby's like huh, like, oh yeah, we're going to
spend time together.
Really, is that?
So he doesn't seem to bebothered as long as he has the
grapes.
I can't remember if someonetold me this or it was just
(06:40):
power deduction, but anytime yousee baby john ross, he does
have a fresh batch of grates andI suppose as long as jr brings
his stuff over, you can yeah, you can hang out.
Cool, bring grates, he's notdone with his reign of terror.
So then he goes downstairs andray and donna are there and
they're sitting in uh, whatwould be he and sue ellen's seat
(07:02):
.
Now, I didn't know this becausethey hardly ever eat in that
dining room anymore.
You always see them kind of allover the place.
But he just wanted to pressbuttons.
So Ray and Donna are fairlyunbothered.
Pam has decided to add a fewextra curls to her.
Rick Jane perm.
Today it is extra fluffy.
It is all over her head.
I don't think I dislike it.
It just I don't think I dislikeit.
(07:25):
It just I just hadn't quitegotten used to it.
It's very.
It looks like one of my sixthgrade teacher's hairdo, and this
was long after the fact that itwas no longer in vogue.
But you know, sometimes you geta hairdo down.
I could understand wanting tokeep it for a couple of decades
extra.
Seems like it's a lot of work.
(07:45):
The shape is nice.
Anyway, pam and Bobby are happy, donna and Ray are happy.
Jr is unhappy and fidgety andjust sort of pushing buttons at
whoever he sees that morningFirst it was Ray and Donna.
He suggests they move over toGary's seat.
Ain't had no damn seat, garyain't lived there.
Then Bobby comes downstairs andhe catches a stray.
(08:08):
Like dang, you really gonnavote against your daddy man.
This sucks, seems like alose-lose situation.
You would vote against yourdaddy.
Bobby's like no, you would voteagainst your mama.
No, he's just big brotheringthem to death.
Of course he throws a grenadeand then he bounces, he leaves
for work.
He has more pressing eye on hisagenda on this day.
I will say Bobby's grief is this, is he's catching grief for no
(08:31):
reason, even Pam's, like we'regoing to vote against one of
them.
He has to do it, he has to makea decision.
She suggests why don't you justnot vote?
And he's like listen, I have toparticipate or else else, you
know, I don't want to be askedto be removed off this.
How does that look?
I just started the job andbecause my mommy and daddy have
(08:53):
a fight now I can't do my job.
I have to figure out something, and right now I want to figure
that out in the shower, but itdoesn't seem like I can escape
this just looming cloud like man.
Escape this just looming cloud.
It's a very unfair space to bein.
He's all you know.
I got my integrity and yougotta stand up and do the right
thing.
And blah, blah, we're gonna dothe right thing, kim, even if it
(09:15):
means we have to leave dallas.
She's like no, no, come on now, leave.
Why we want to do a full thinglike that?
I just got here and he goeswait a minute now you've been
wanting to leave south forforever.
Yes, she has.
I do find it very convenientthat he's only want to do a full
thing like that.
I just got here and he goeswait a minute Now.
You've been wanting to leaveSouth Fork forever.
Yes, she has.
I do find it very convenientthat he's only willing to do it
once he is uncomfortable.
Now that things are a littlebit complicated.
Now, okay, pam, it does kind ofmake sense for us to stand on
(09:38):
our own two feet.
She then told you that, but nowshe can't leave because
rebecca's there.
Miss jg went with 877 gosh.
No, better not tell clint.
No, yeah, pam has her owndemons to wrestle this episode.
This is yet another situationwhere a parent has put the kid
in just.
(09:58):
I guess jock and ellie didn'tdo this on purpose.
Bobby just happened to be inthe middle, but Pam is
definitely in the middle of thishorrendous situation.
Mitch is also going through it.
This whole Miss Young Dallas isreally starting to take a toll
on he and Lucy's marriage.
We see him once again at thesame restaurant from the day or
(10:20):
night or however long ago before, and his friend is at the
counter studying.
So he goes up to chat with herand, um, he mentions that lucy
left the apartment this morningat 5 30.
She's shooting some park andthey needed to shoot before
everyone else, like before thepark opened up to the general
public and the friend, which isa girl, is like yeah, I mean, it
(10:44):
makes sense.
Kind of cold out there, hopeshe's doing fine.
Mitch says no, she has alimelight to keep her warm.
She's like okay, a little bitsalty.
I see he's like no, no, I don'tmean it like that, it's just.
This is just such a shock it'sso he's not really communicating
well that, because Lucy issuper wealthy, the attention
(11:06):
that she's getting on top ofthis is what's bothering him, in
addition to, like, the money.
You know what I mean.
Mitch and myself neither one ofus are being very clear.
So he starts telling the girlthat he tried to buy Lucy a
locket and he had to work forseveral weeks he had to work
nights in order to afford thislocket.
(11:27):
Lucy comes home out of the blueone day with a check and she
could afford 50 lockets and hegoes.
You see what I mean?
And the girl's like not really.
He goes okay.
Okay, let me put it to you likethis Say, you had to work
really, really hard to buy apair of shoes, right, you buy
them.
You're going to appreciate thatthe way I was brought up.
(11:48):
Hard work makes you appreciateeverything you do.
Girl steps in and she's likewell, lucy is working and she's
working hard.
Maybe it's not the same kind ofwork that you do, but she is
working.
He goes, I know, I know, butbasically he's saying everything
comes easy to her.
Only he's not reallycommunicating that point.
Ie, the apartment was given tous, if you say it like that,
(12:09):
like okay, her family bought usan apartment.
She came with all of theseclothes.
We were bought a honeymoon.
I'm working to provide her alittle something.
And then she comes in with allthis money, just kind of
trumping my work is what he'sreally saying.
No matter how hard I work, I'mstill so many steps behind her
when she's putting in theminimal, in his opinion, amount
(12:32):
of work.
But the girl is like I don'tknow, I don't think you're
really looking at it this way.
He's like okay, well, what ifyou had to work really hard for
a pair of shoes?
You'd really you'd appreciateit, right.
But if you could just go buy 50pairs of those exact same shoes
, you're not going to appreciateit.
She's like maybe not, but itwould be nice to be able to do
like five or six, like there isa happy medium.
The truth is it's a mixture ofthe limelight and a mixture of
(12:55):
him feeling inadequate.
Now and now that the world knowswho she's married to and they
don't really seem to care, she'sstill getting attention.
It's just like she's.
She's not actually doinganything wrong.
His homegirl is right, she isjust working.
She's not doing anythingunusual, it's just Dang.
(13:18):
I know where he's coming from.
It's kind of hard to swallowthat, no matter how hard you
work, or maybe the work thatyou're doing is just not it's
not paying dividends.
The way hers is doesn't meanthat she is wrong, but there's
more to it.
It's his wife.
There's men looking at her now, checking out her rack, making
lewd comments and stuff.
It's a whole thing.
This is another matter ofperspective that I don't
(13:41):
necessarily disagree with, butactually I do.
I very much disagree with it.
So Pam is over at Mrs JGWentworth's apartment, which is
lovely.
Actually it's not an apartment,it is a townhome.
It is spacious, but it is nolonger a mansion.
She didn't need all that space.
She wants to be in Dallas toreconnect with her kids.
(14:02):
So Rebecca is not quite readyto mix and mingle and make
friends.
She really, really wants tomeet Cliff so that they can
reconnect and and and you knowforge a relationship.
So she brings it up to Pamagain hey, when do I get to meet
Cliff?
Ooh?
Pam's like Ooh, yeah, there'sthis restaurant down the road.
(14:23):
They serve real good sandwichesand stuff.
It's real close to you.
I think we should go there forlunch.
Do you want to do an earlylunch?
And her mom's like okay, nowwhat's going on?
Every time I mention cliff, youchange the subject.
So pam says mom, I just saidcliff did not have an easy life.
He literally had to fight foreverything.
(14:43):
He had to fight his way.
He had to fight his way throughhigh school, work, his way
through high school, everythinghe's ever had.
He's had to work very, veryhard for.
Life was not easy for him.
And rebecca, the mother's likewell, I could be, I I wouldn't
imagine it would have been.
Pam says I don't know if he'sgoing to receive you.
I don't think he's going to beable to forgive you for leaving.
I know my brother and I knowhis faults and he lives in a
(15:05):
world of give and take and hewants to be a taker.
I don't know.
I think he might take advantageof you because you're a rich
woman and I'm like what?
I literally stopped and saidwhat version of Cliff are you
talking about?
Now this is what pisses me off.
Say what you will about him.
No's not perfect.
Yes, he's highly ambitious, buthas he done any snake in the
(15:28):
grass I want your money thing?
I didn't.
He's never seemed to be in lovewith the money.
It's more of the power.
There's a different dynamicwith that, like in Mitch and
Lucy's case.
They're not actually sayingthat, but there is a little bit.
He probably feels a little bitmore powerless because, yes,
he's bringing in less money andin his case, if he had more
(15:49):
money he would absolutely beable to afford these things.
He and Lucy would be on thesame tier.
In Cliff's case, I don't thinkhe wants the money for the
money's sake to buy objects, hewants the power.
He would very much take thepower over the money.
The man runs.
He runs for political office,he is a civil servant.
The man he's not looking to bewealthy, you know.
(16:12):
It's not like he's taking thesebig, large kickbacks or
anything.
So to say.
To imply that Cliff wouldabsolutely take advantage of
that woman's wealth is veryunfair.
Now I will say this Will heplay her like a fiddle if she
wants to give him money to?
If he can extract power?
Yes, but I don't think he would.
(16:33):
Painting the picture in a waythat says this man is so power
hungry that he would absolutelyuse you and abuse you in order
to gain power and access to yourmoney is unfair.
Does he respect you less?
Yes, will he absolutely use herfor power?
Why not?
This kid was abandoned by thiswoman.
(16:55):
Let's not act like this.
Is some Joe Blow off the streetwho happened upon him and lived
in his life and was like thiswonderful matriarch who loved
and reared him.
No, you told me you were deadand then you left me with a
drunk psychopath that I've beentaking care of up until he
recently died.
Two totally different things,pam.
You being a little bitdelusional right now he's
(17:16):
talking about.
Well, you'd never know if heloved you for you or for the
money she could earn his love.
I'm actually really annoyed atwhoever wrote this, but I guess
that's a good thing.
Sometimes stories should bepolarizing, but really, this is
just Pam's opinion.
Let me just say that.
Let me just say that that'sjust her opinion, but it is a
(17:39):
ridiculous opinion.
I understand being caught inthe middle, wanting to play both
sides, because, yeah, she ismore.
Pam also mentioned that Pam ismore loving and more like
accepting and forgiving.
Cliff grew up in a totally helisten, that's not.
His life has not afforded himthe luxury to trust anybody he's
met.
Lest we rewind the tape and goback to season one, he has
(18:02):
absolutely no reason to trustanybody other than Pam, which is
why I'm so upset.
Please don't betray their trust.
She, pam, feels like she's.
She's protecting Rebecca, fairenough, but also, whatever smoke
she gets, she gets because youwere the adult in that situation
.
I don't care if Cliff is in his40s, you're the adult there.
(18:23):
Oddly enough, this whole episodeis really about jock and ellie.
So one morning at breakfast, same morning at breakfast at jr
threw a grenade, then left afterhe pissed off everybody and
then left the house donnaculver's left, ray's left.
Jock comes down and, um,they're talking about how bobby
(18:43):
is going to have to make adecision.
Bobby's on the committee withthe T'Chapa the swamp thing
situation and he's going to haveto vote.
As soon as that word comes out, ellie comes down the stairs.
She enters the dining room.
Mind you, she's been ignoringJock as best she can.
So as she goes to sit down, donna's like well, you know,
(19:03):
your bobby's gonna have to vote.
He's gonna have to pick betweenthe two of you and that's gonna
be very, very difficult for him.
I swear, donna.
Yes, I'm still looking out ofthe side of my eye, but I'm more
.
I believe that a little lessthe more I hear her talk.
She seems very genuine and shedoes seem like damn, I wish I
had never said yes to this.
She and ray should probablyjust stay at their own house.
(19:25):
I feel like every time shecomes over, something pops off.
Well, jock hears the news aboutbobby and he's like well, thank
god, at least we know we haveone, one vote there.
And ellie's like oh really, that's how you think bobby's
gonna vote, my son bobby.
Jock's like yeah, like he's, heknows good business.
Obviously he's gonna pick that.
So they have a little tiny riftand ray ever, you know there,
(19:48):
this, this whole episode, couldalso be the voice of reason.
Somebody's always trying to stepin and be like hey, so things
aren't just like, aren't the wayyou think they are.
Ray steps in.
He's like miss ellie, I mean, please understand, we don't want
to just rape and pillage theland.
I promise you we're not goingto ruin the land, we just want
to make it useful.
(20:09):
We want people to enjoy itinstead of turning it into
something useful besides a swamp.
That was a wrong thing to say.
It's just a swamp.
Oh, oh, oh now, okay, I see you, ray.
Ray, I seem to recall everytime I see you was land, this
dirt, this feed prices that Nowyou're talking about swamps and
(20:30):
building structures and stuff.
You sure did change your colors.
I can't believe I'm talking tothe same person.
Now.
This pisses, jock off.
Now, ellie, calm down.
You know that boy's been talkingabout that.
He wouldn't say nothing aboutit.
He wouldn't say nothing aboutEllie.
You have been unbearable.
You've been hard to live with.
I'm going to Dallas.
He's had enough of it.
He's going to Dallas.
(20:50):
For the record, they probablylive.
I've never actually looked, butI mean I'm assuming they live a
little closer to Fort Worth andDallas is just a bigger city
especially.
Live out.
You live out on a ranch.
It's not uncommon to live 30minutes outside a city.
I'm going to Dallas.
It's just that good.
(21:10):
Go and stay.
Guess who I don't want to seeback at my ranch South Fork Fork
, you jock.
She doesn't say that.
Forgive me, but you see, don'tgive a damn.
You can be mad all you want myson Bobby better not vote for
y'all.
He's like well, don't talk tomy son, it's not a son thing,
(21:31):
but they're already pissed offat each other.
Things have just come to a head.
But she's like okay, beth, youleave, don't come back to my
house.
That's what I know.
I bet not see you walk throughhere again.
So the tension is kind ofsprinkled, all about Everybody's
kind of catching strays andunderstanding this.
Sue Ellen, I don't know how shefound that.
I guess maybe this happened theday before.
(21:53):
Sue Ellen is continuing herconspicuous rage.
She's in a cute little outfitplaying tennis in broad daylight
in Dallas with Clint.
She don't give a damn who sees, she's still got on that ring
Hair still did.
She is smiling, she lookshealthy, she looks joyful.
Please, somebody tell JR theysaw me this morning.
(22:13):
I don't care, only for her.
Clint is like yeah, we are happy, we are wonderful, we can even
build a house with a tenniscourt.
She's like wait what?
Build a house, what are youtalking about?
Yeah, I'm gonna tell alicia Iwant a divorce.
She's like hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, chill, let's not do
anything rash.
Why you don't have to go dosomething like that, don't don't
(22:35):
?
It's too soon, see?
Uh, my in-laws, jock and ellie.
They're getting separated, soit would be very inconvenient to
have to divorce JR right now.
It'd be really weird.
Oddly enough, jr uses that sameexcuse.
So Leslie is at his office andthings are going well for her.
He's already promised to fundher campaign to make her the
(22:58):
biggest PR person in all ofDallas.
She's picking out officefurnitures and things.
She's already got some newclientele, but she's very smart
with it.
She's a little less eager thanKalan.
She's like JR.
I just want to say I appreciateeverything you've done for me.
You know how I feel about you,but I understand it's not easy
to end a marriage.
(23:19):
I understand that's going totake time and um, and I think
some things are worth the wait.
He's like oh my God, leslie, Ifeel so seen right now.
Do you know how long I'vewaited for someone to understand
me?
Do you know how long I'vewaited for a woman to just
patiently wait for me?
Gosh, I get it.
(23:40):
I understand it.
Like you, it, my mom and my dadare going to get divorced.
It's a whole thing.
It's just too much.
I don't want to upset anybody,it's just not the right time.
She's like don't worry, jr, Iunderstand, you know, I
understand Some things are worthwaiting for.
He's swooning.
He's like oh my God, I justwant you so bad, I bad, I want
(24:04):
you so bad.
And I suppose that's the thing.
It's easy to catch these littleflyaway things.
I want to bring it back toMitch one more time.
Mitch said if you could afford5,000 pairs of shoes or 500,
they don't really mean that much, but if you got to work really
hard for the one, you're goingto really appreciate that.
That may or may not be truewhen it comes to material things
, but there is something aboutthis woman.
He's had every woman in theoffice, and his wife and her
(24:27):
sister and Mitch's sister Sincewe're bringing it up.
But all he wants is this onewoman he's going to have to put
in work.
He's got to build her career,he's got to rearrange his career
, he's got to turn over a brandnew leaf to be with her, and
he's digging it.
Maybe he's never had to workthis hard for someone.
(24:50):
Speaking of Mitch, I'll say thisI wish I had his composure.
When I'm angry I'm not thatpleasant, but he's pacing back
and forth at home.
Here's the door open.
Lucy's like oh yeah, thank youyou so much, I'll see you at 6
am, bright and early.
Close the door.
She is beat, she looksexhausted.
She's got a carry case over hershoulder, she's got a garment
(25:12):
bag, all the things.
She throws him on the couch.
Well, hey, babe, how are youblah, blah.
I'm so sorry I'm late.
I just had to do like 30different poses today.
Oh, your girl is torrid.
So she's talking to him andhe's like what's that?
He looks down and tell me whyshe has on a locket.
She's like oh, I was trying oncashmere sweaters today and I
(25:33):
really liked it.
The garment company that I wasmodeling for.
They let me keep it, since Iliked it so much.
Isn't it gorgeous?
It just happens, you know.
Just it's the wrong thing, wrong time.
He gave an example of wanting tobuy a locket.
Here she comes with the locketand he's probably thinking his
mind see, that's exactly whatI'm talking about, not right
there?
See how easy it is for her.
(25:53):
But he's never really been ableto articulate that.
So she doesn't catch the factthat he's angry because he's
very composed, she goes oh well, honey, do you want me to make
you something to eat?
Have you had dinner?
The fact that he's angrybecause he's very composed, she
goes well, honey, do you want meto make you something to eat?
Have you had dinner?
And he's like it's 1030 atnight.
Of course I've had dinner, which leads me to believe he
(26:14):
probably has not had dinner.
He seems a little bit cranky, but I suppose that is to be
expected when your wife comes inlooking like a million bucks
wearing $50,000 worth of oh, sheeven mentioned that it's 18
karat gold.
God, it's so heavy, lucy, Lucy, lucy.
So she's still not reallyclocking that he's upset.
(26:37):
She goes okay, well, I'm nothungry either, so I guess I'll
go take a shower, since you'regonna go study.
I didn't say anything aboutstudying.
You don't listen to me, lucy, Iam paraphrasing here.
She's like okay, well, I'msorry, you're always you're
either working at 10 30 at nightor you're studying at 10 30 at
(26:59):
night.
I just my bad.
I assumed that's what you weregoing to do.
She's mind you.
She's jovial during all this.
He's upset, but she brings up avery interesting point where he
sees her new lifestyle as thewedge that is coming between
them.
The reality is there's alwaysbeen something else to do.
(27:19):
She's just never really made abig fuss about it.
She understands that this ishis dream.
He is working towards it.
Sometimes he works a little toomuch, sometimes she wants a
little more money.
Remember the whole.
The only reason she went outand got a job is so he didn't
have to work 50, 11 jobs so thatthey could have a maid.
So she don't.
What does she?
Okay, it's one thing to stayhome all day.
She's not going to stay homeand cook and clean.
(27:40):
You get this microwave dinnerand a baddie wife.
Or you get a baddie wife and amessy apartment.
Like, come on, she only got thejob to pay for the maid.
She just so happened to pick ajob that's going to pay her best
return because she's got thatface card.
This is all very frustrating forMitch.
(28:01):
He's like Lucy, lucy, don't yousee?
Don't you see?
There's a wedge between us.
We're like roommates.
We're only passing each otherthrough the night, and she's
like and that's my fault.
Now she's starting to get alittle worked up.
Is it my fault?
He goes well, it certainlyisn't mine.
I'm not the one who has 6 amlimousines coming and dragging
yourself into the apartment at10 30 at night.
(28:22):
Now, I don't know.
I feel like I've said this alot today.
That was the wrong thing to say.
I don't know if it's thedragging yourself in that pissed
her off or the 6 am limit.
I think it was the drag.
Drag yourself in.
To drag me in implies that Ilook a mess.
Please let the record reflectthat.
(28:43):
She still looks flawless.
She's like baby, I'm a model.
You said it, sir.
Let me jog your memory.
Mitch, this is Lucy.
Let me jog your memory.
You said that we were going tolive on our money.
Right, our money.
I get paid to be pretty.
It is what it is.
Feel how you feel.
He's like.
(29:04):
I didn't say we live on ourincome.
I said we live on my income.
She's like oh, so you're goingto go park cars and shuck and
drive for 50 for nickels anddimes?
Sorry, I don't know Some 80sgirl.
I don't know what she said, butshe definitely said you're
going to go work for nickels anddimes and I'm supposed to be
cool with that baby.
No, absolutely not.
I am Lucy F.
Ewing Cooper Model, extraordinaire Miss Young Dallas
(29:27):
.
I make money.
Money don't make me.
I look flawless.
I've never been drug anywherein my life.
That, sir, is some antiquatedthinking.
Sounds like you got that out ofthe medieval times or something
.
I mean, don't you understandhow that makes me feel?
(29:47):
I don't.
I don't need a rule book totell me how I feel.
She's like what are you talkingabout?
He's like well, look at thatdamn gold chain.
You walking in with a goldchain.
I want to be able to buy you agold chain, but I guess with
nickels and dimes it'll takeseveral decades.
She's like Mitch, please.
She literally says Mitch, please, okay, okay, okay.
(30:08):
He wants to be able to buy thechain he can't like.
Okay, okay, listen, I'm sorry Isaid you made nickels and dimes
.
I am sorry I said that, butlisten, it's not your money,
it's not my money, it's ourmoney.
And he goes what, just what iswrong with you?
You think that you, you'renever going to get it right Now,
this is where he starts to loseme and this is where Louie,
louie, lucy, reminds you.
(30:28):
Her last name is spelledE-W-I-N-G.
Baby.
He snaps one too many times.
She says let me tell yousomething.
I work my model butt off tobring money into this home to
support this family and I'm notgoing to feel bad about it.
You feel how you need to feel.
I'm not going to feel bad formaking good money, period.
(30:51):
So if you feel that way, we'rein trouble.
She's like all right, we'reokay, fine, cool, cool, cool,
cool Cool.
Remember, you said that, not me.
You said that this is all blownout of proportion.
We can all tell.
However, I was with him until Iwasn't.
I understand, but, dude, youknew you were broke when you met
(31:12):
her.
It is unrealistic to think thatshe should just cease existing
and literally struggle with you.
You're going to be gone.
Listen, he's right, he's gonemost of the time.
He working very hard.
She understands he has a goalagain.
She got the job so that shecould have somebody clean the
apartment so he didn't have topay for that.
Bringing in extra money, in hermind, frees up his time.
(31:35):
Yeah, she's gonna be MissDallas.
She's gonna be Miss YoungDallas for a year.
Yes, it's a lot of work.
Maybe it's a lot of work.
Maybe it's a little moreglamorous than the work that he
does, but it is work nonetheless.
She's going to work.
She's coming home, but yeah,he's got some machismo things he
needs to work through.
I think it's a lot of that.
(31:55):
He wants to support little oldlady and if that's the case,
let's move to Mississippi.
Then Maybe you can support herin Mississippi on that, but
you're not going to do it inDallas.
I don't care what year it is.
Actually, dallas was quitereasonable for a while.
They need to move to Fort Worth.
If that's the case, move toFort Worth or one of the
surrounding cities and then themoney you bring home will be a
(32:16):
little.
It'll stretch a little further, but she said not today and I
love it.
The best part of it she swingsaround that gorgeous trackless
head of hair.
You're going to look at me.
You look at me and tell this.
This is why I bring home thebig bucks.
Mitch is very pretty too.
(32:37):
He could definitely model.
She should definitely try toget him a modeling gig.
That was an intense littleargument, but you know that's
not unusual with couples.
Couples make up to break him amodeling gig.
That was an intense littleargument, but you know that's
not unusual with couples.
Couples make up to break up allthe time.
You might want to cuss yourspouse out one in the morning
because they left the lid offthe milk for the last time.
Oh, you might have violentfantasies about dousing that
(33:00):
open milk all over theirwindshield after it's curdled in
the hot, hot sun all day.
You might think about that.
But you know what, usually, ifyou just let it dissipate for a
minute, like okay, I'll just eatthis last Klondike bar and get
them back.
That way there's a resolutionNow with Lucy and Mitch.
(33:21):
I don't know, I don't think hecan see the forest for the trees
at this point, because he's soknee deep in trying to survive
and make it that it maybe seemsa little bit insulting that
other people get their way quote, unquote so much easier.
But you know, give him a fewyears.
Let him get into his practice.
Let him study medicine orwhatever he's studying.
He's going to be fine.
Shake it off.
(33:42):
She ain't getting no uglier notime soon, and she damn sure
ain't going to start being poorfor no reason.
That would be weird.
Speaking of weird Rebecca, jgWentworth decides.
You know what, enough of thiswaiting on Pam, let me just slip
by Cliff's office.
I'll just walk by, I'll come upwith a ruse, he'll allow me in
(34:02):
his office, I'll feel him outmyself to see if he's this money
grubber or if he's a little boywho needs his mommy.
As soon as he says he needs hismommy, I'm right here.
She goes by his office.
His secretary's like Mrs Bergis here to see you.
He's like I don't know nobodynamed Berg.
She's like, well, she's here tosee you.
All right, cool, let her in.
So she comes by and she.
(34:24):
She comes in and she says hi,I've been looking forward to
meeting you for a really longtime.
He's like oh yeah, why is that?
Well, I am a really good friendof your mother.
I knew her way back when we goback to houston galveston days.
I've known her a long time.
She's speaking of her in thepresent and, yeah, I know how
(34:45):
fond she is of you.
So I've always wanted to meetyou, basically painting the
picture that, oh wait, you meanmy mother's alive.
Oh wait, she misses me and shetalks about me.
That's wonderful.
Only clip is a full grown manand this is the middle of the
day and, like he said, he don'tknow no burke.
So as far as he knows, thiscould be some weirdo off the
street.
Or he's like I'm sorry, whatyou know, my mother, yes, yes,
(35:08):
and she's really eager to meetyou.
And then he says well, thatwould be a really weird trick
because my mom's dead.
Oh no, she's not dead, she'svery much alive.
And he's getting annoyed Like, okay, lady, what did you say?
Your name was again Burke.
Mrs Burke, I don't really knowwhat game you're pulling here,
(35:29):
but my mom's dead, and yeah, that's that she's like.
I assure you she's not, he'slike.
Well, if she's not, then shemight as well be.
Where was she when I wasgrowing up and I really needed
her?
Where was she all that time shegoes?
No, she was just afraid sheloves you.
He says this woman, my mother, clearly, if she's alive, she
(35:52):
doesn't know what love is.
Love isn't leaving a little kidto fend for themselves.
That's not love.
So, as far as I'm concerned, mymother's dead, dead, and if
she's not, she might as well be.
Now, this now she walked inthere to get her feelings hurt.
She really did.
I can't imagine what scenarioshe thought she was going to get
.
Also, I don't care how longit's been.
(36:15):
Like your mom doesn't look thatdifferent.
Surely he's seen pictures ofher.
She quote unquote she does looklike pam, but he doesn't
recognize her at all, and Icould have well.
So now she and they're lookingembarrassed, looking shamefaced,
as my mom would say, notknowing what to do with herself.
Like, oh God, that hurt.
Yeah, it does hurt.
(36:36):
It hurts, rebecca, because youmade a choice.
At least Rebecca was able tosave face by saying she was a
friend of Cliff's mother.
And lucky for Mitch, he reallydoes have a friend and is his
little girl, his little homegirl, his doctor homegirl.
She's trying to help him studyback at the max or the peach pit
or whatever it's called.
(36:56):
And she can tell he'sdistracted.
So he's explaining.
You know, lucy came home at 1030 last night.
She was gone by 6 am.
I hardly get to see her, it'sjust she's working too much,
it's taking a toll.
And so the friend's like she'sjust working, like what's what's
really going on?
Why does this bother you somuch?
And he's able to articulate ita little bit better this time.
(37:18):
He says she is a Ewing.
I believe that things only havevalue if you work for them.
But because she's a Ewing, it'slike anything she holds her
hand out to get, she just getsSort of implying that she wanted
a job.
She got like the highest payingjob ever.
She wanted an apartment.
She got.
You know what I mean.
She's not really working for it.
(37:39):
He starts to feel like theirvalues are too different.
So his friend says you know, there's a very simple solution,
but it's not that simple.
If you want to stay married Ihope you do One of you has got
to change, basically, implyingthat he needs to change.
This is who you married.
So mitch now has to sit withhimself and decide what he wants
(37:59):
to do now.
On the other side of town, mitch's sister happened to be in
the same bar, still singing andlingering along.
She's dressed in her pinkcowboy carter outfit.
Actually she looks a little bitmore like dolly.
She's gonna like a pink lace, something or another.
She sounds quite lovely andthey let her sing for a while.
So I'm kind of wondering ifafton had a career in the early
(38:22):
80s in the music business.
That's neither here nor there.
Cliff is at the bar sourlydrinking a beer, damn near
rolling his eyes.
I guess he thinks she soundsokay, but he's had a day.
Some boho came in pretending tobe his mom.
It's not the best time, but helooks over, or you hear someone
call him he looks over, it's oneof his old college pals and two
(38:42):
bucks and blondes.
They invite him to sit down.
He doesn't really want to, he'sjust making small talk.
He was about to go home, butyou know he's.
You know small talk.
Oh, hey, dude, it's good to seeyou.
Are you still in the oilbusiness?
Yeah, but one of the blondessays yeah, he works so hard,
like being funny tongue-in-cheek, he works so hard, he's
jet-setting all over the world.
(39:03):
He's in every place.
You know, I really get a holdof him.
So cliff's like oh, really, that's why I just got back from
southeast asia.
His friend tells him thatcliff's like oh, no way, were
you there when that wholegovernment uprising thing was
happening, a thing that jrallegedly stopped or had
something to do with?
And the dude's like yeah, I wasactually cliff's like man, that
(39:24):
must have been wild.
You know what?
I'll go ahead and have a seat.
Doesn't seem like he's pryingat this point.
He just wants to hear aboutthis uprising.
So he and the friend aregetting along.
They all end up going back tocliff's apartment.
Cliff, his friend and thefriend are getting along.
They all end up going back toCliff's apartment.
Cliff, his friend and the twoblonde girls.
The blonde girls decide it'stime to powder their nose while
Cliff and his homeboy makedrinks and Cliff brings up the
counter-revolution again.
(39:45):
He's like, man, that must havebeen super scary.
How did you feel Like, basically, how did you like
survive?
And the guy's like, scary, there wasn't even any shooting.
And the guy's like, scary, there wasn't even any shooting.
That thing was fought withmoney.
Cliff goes what do you mean?
He goes.
Well, I mean, those sort ofthings aren't you know, aren't
people on the ground with Tommyguns?
It's like more political thananything.
(40:06):
Word on the street is that someAmerican backed the whole thing
financially, something likethat.
Now Cliff's interest is piqued.
He's like well, you, why do yousay that he goes?
Well, I mean, I know everybodythere, people who should have
been in it, people who shouldhave been shot or whatever,
operators, etc.
And you know they all say thesame thing.
(40:27):
And so he starts naming peopleand cliff goes.
You wouldn't happen to know aguy named hank johnson?
He's like yeah, I know hank h.
Hank Johnson works for JR.
As a matter of fact, hank wasvery, very visible right before
the revolution, very loud, veryvocal, and all of a sudden he
dropped out of sight.
Nobody's seen him since.
Well, now Cliff's homeboyenters his peak like man.
(40:48):
Why do you ask?
You know Hank?
Cliff says no, I just kind ofknow his reputation.
Like you mentioned, operators, blah, blah, it's kind of his
reputation.
So now he they probably boththinking the same thing, but in
opposite directions like hmm, you're not sure.
All this makes cliff quite giddy.
He's like got a little tea.
Call.
(41:10):
Jg wentworth is on the oppositeend of giddy.
She, she is actually quite sad.
She went back and she told himwhat happened.
She's like I'm so sorry, Icouldn't.
I couldn't help myself.
I had to see him.
And she, she explained what hesaid and she doesn't blame him.
She's like wow, the whole wayhome all I could hear is him
saying my mother doesn't knowwhat love is, even though I
(41:32):
wanted to tell him I love himand I'm his mother.
I understand where he's comingfrom.
And then the other thing thatkept playing in her head was
that where was she when I neededher?
She's like damn, I have noanswer for that.
There really is no excuse.
Pam says but mom, you had to do.
You do what you had to do andone day maybe Cliff will
understand that.
Her mom says you can't possiblybelieve that.
(41:53):
Then she says that she wastempted to tell him that she's a
wealthy woman.
Now she can help him in any wayhe needs it.
But Pam says, mom, well, youwill never know if he really
loves you or he loves money.
And this is where me and themom really do agree.
She goes would that be so bad?
At the end of the day, she justwants a relationship with him.
(42:15):
Now I'm pretty confident thatwith time maybe they could have.
I mean, by my estimation itwould take years for that to be
a real relationship.
All because of the circumstances.
She didn't get kidnapped, shewas not held hostage, she did
not have amnesia, she wasn'tlike sick and poor somewhere and
(42:36):
just literally couldn't affordtwo kids.
She could afford two kids.
She could have introducedherself when her husband was
there.
That's the thing.
We can't ignore all these.
So if he don't want anything todo with everything, he just
doesn't.
If he decides to take a checkevery now and again to fund his
campaign, not his lavishlifestyle, I mean, it is what it
(42:57):
is.
You don't have to love it, butI don't really know what else
you could expect.
It's going to take a huge actof God for them to come any
closer.
I just don't see it happening.
So, jock and Ellie I suppose itstarts to weigh on Donna a
little bit.
So one morning she goes over totalk to Ellie.
She says listen, I'm sorry, Igot to tell you just like it is.
I don't think this DeKalb thingis worth you and Jock's
(43:22):
marriage.
It's not worth it.
It's just land.
There's plenty others.
Just don't do this.
This is causing too much grief.
Now Ellie shocks me and she'slike oh my God, donna, is it you
and Ray?
She doesn't even realize thatDonna's talking about she and
Jock.
Once Donna explained no, rayand I decided to keep this out
(43:44):
of our marriage.
There's other things that aremore important and this just
isn't worth it.
Ellie sighed.
She's like okay, you younggirls don't understand.
This is more.
It's not just the land, it isthe secrets.
It is having to just sit andagree.
It'd be very agreeable and kindall the time, no matter what he
does.
I'm really really, really, really sick of it.
(44:04):
I've been doing that for 45 ofmy years and guess what?
I don't have 45 more.
I'm not really willing to playthat game with him anymore.
So if a divorce is what ittakes, then so be it.
I don't really care at thispoint.
Now, this is very upsetting toDonna, and Ellie can see this,
and she's still somebody's mama.
So she says listen, I'm sorry,I wish I had given you a little
(44:27):
bit more warning when youmarried into the family.
And Donna says well, what doyou mean?
She goes with the Ewing men.
A marriage to them means thatthey always have to prove
themselves more than anything.
That's more important to themthan being married.
Of course my mind goes to theWest Coast and like, damn,
that's a good point, ellie, theygot.
(44:49):
Hey, he's only okay, he is onanother show.
We will talk about him on thatother show, but it's kind of
rough.
He is on another show.
We will talk about him on thatother show, but it's kind of
rough.
So Bobby and and JR having achat one night before dinner
doesn't look like Ellie's gonnacome down for dinner and Jock is
in Dallas living his best lifeor his worst life.
He's probably not doinganything.
Let JR tell it.
(45:09):
He's out getting drunk.
And Bobby's like, oh my god, Ican't believe they're separated.
Did you try to talk to him?
And there's like yeah, I did,but I can't believe they're
separated.
Did you try to talk to him?
And JR's like yeah, I did, butI mean it looks like they could
be.
You know they could stayseparated, if you know what I'm
saying.
Bobby is quite upset and JR goesthat's gonna I don't know what
that's gonna mean for Ewing Oil.
Bob's like why are you talkingabout the oil company at a time
(45:30):
like this?
Jr explains well, if mamadivorces daddy, she could take
the whole company.
Like this is a community state, she could take the company and
you know how she feels about it.
She might just you know whoknows what she'll do.
Bobby's like dude, I don'tthink it's that deep, I don't
think it's the same thing.
He really doesn't care.
He wants his mommy and daddyback together.
(45:53):
But JR Ewing is JR Ewing for areason.
The man who invented telework, remote work, is back on his
bully and he's not going to leta little thing like love,
marriage or potential divorcestop him from making all the
money possible.
So he gets a feeler on Jock, just to make sure that he
understands the situationcompletely, while Bobby, on the
(46:16):
other hand, starts looking atall the maps he can find, up to
Takapa T'Challa um Swamp Thingto see if there is another
resolution.
Surely there's a way that wecan make everybody happy.
So while Bobby is doing thatwork, jr is talking to Jock and
he says Daddy, are you thinkingyour mama, you and mama are
going to get a divorce.
He goes, it kind of looks likeit, it's kind of heading that
(46:37):
way.
And that's when JR brings upthis being a community property
state, state of Texas, and thatmama would get half of the
company.
Now why that would matter, I'msure I don't know.
But Jock shows his entirebehind.
He's like you know what?
I would sell this old bitchbefore I let her get any part of
(46:58):
it, before she can get herhands on it.
I'd sell the company right fromunderneath her, letting you
know where his mind is.
She's not wrong, he is more.
He and jr have the same thought, which again makes me think of
another person who we'll talkabout on another date and time.
But it's starting to paint abigger, broader, bolder, more
(47:20):
sinister picture here.
Jock Ewing is JR.
We just didn't see him in hisprime.
We get to see what he lookslike slowed down.
We get to see what he lookslike older.
He would rather sell everythinghe's worked for to make sure
the woman who has been hisbooski for 45 years allowed him
to bring his whole ass otherchild onto the property.
(47:43):
Yes, it was unbeknownst to them.
However, she knew about it.
It is what it is.
She is acting up a little bit.
I feel like she's been kind oftaking it out on ray a little
bit more than she needs to.
But this is where his mind isat, which tells me you know, you
know what.
She is well within her rights, whatever she does.
I'm team Ellie.
Do what you got to do, ellie.
In my very favorite scene ofthis entire episode, ellie comes
(48:06):
downstairs and she goes to thedining room and it's, you know,
beautiful sunlight showingthrough.
It's quiet, it's all polishedup and as she walks in she
doesn't say a word.
Light showing through, it'squiet, it's all polished up and
as she walks in, she doesn't saya word.
You can see her kind of smiling.
She's smiling through her eyes.
She's like looking around thetable and you can tell she's
envisioning her entire family atthe table.
She starts to smile and thenit's like she breathes in and
(48:29):
she gets a whiff of what'sreally there.
He starts thinking about otherstuff.
She sits down and then shestarts looking around the table,
like in each seat, particularlyone corner where we know who is
supposed to be there, he's not,but it's as if she's really
really taking it in.
The entire table is empty.
(48:52):
This is what it's going to beand she starts to break down.
She starts to cry and it's likeyou can almost hear it.
You can see all the memories, you can see all the years, you
can see the joy, you can see herfamily, the things she wants
more than anything around thetable.
But then you can tell when theother memory starts to hit too
(49:16):
All the lies, all the what thathas turned out to be.
Her hope is one thing, thereality is something else.
She kind of stops wiping herface, she lets the tears just
kind of sit there.
She starts looking around againand, mind you, she's at the
head of the table.
She never sits.
I guess she does sit at thehead of the table, but she sucks
(49:45):
it up.
One last look, one last whip ofthe eye, jumps up and turns and
leaves it.
Says so I've god.
I love this scene because shedoesn't say a word and I swear
you hear everything.
She didn't say this.
This was my dream.
He took my dream.
This is where the joy happened.
This is where the pain happened.
This is what I've always wanted.
(50:07):
This is my worst nightmare.
And her way of dealing with it.
She stands up with her joy, with her pain, she lets the
tears continue to run down, sheonly wipes one eye, turns on her
heels and leaves Such a message.
Speaking of messages, you nevershoot the messenger, but
(50:27):
sometimes you can slap them up alittle bit.
Jr calls the guy that was goingto give him I forget what bank
he's ahead of blonde haired dude.
If you see him, you knowexactly what I'm talking about.
He gets a call from that bankerguy and, to my surprise, when
he shows up at the office, it'sCliff's homeboy.
He, the Cliff's homeboy, isreporting to the banker, all
(50:50):
these things.
So he starts to tell theCliff's homeboy, that is, starts
to tell JR and the banker thatcliff was kind of being
inquisitive about the SoutheastAsia uprising thing, the
revolution.
He's like you know, I was overthere and I told them that there
were really no guns.
There were no shots fired.
(51:10):
It was more of a political, financially backed sort of thing
.
Jr, ever the professional waslike oh, for real, is that so?
Well, the dude continued.
He's like well, you know.
He asked me if I knew XYZ.
Did I know Woo-Dee-Woo?
Then he asked me that I knowHank Johnson.
I was like yeah, I know HankJohnson.
(51:31):
Jr was like you know HankJohnson, he's clueless.
Wink, wink blonde hair guy ismr wind.
Now, okay, so the you knowhomeboy is like well, yeah, I
mean, that's all.
That's all he asked, but do youneed to know anything else?
And he looks over to the blondeguy.
Blonde guy's like no, it's cool, it's cool, okay.
Well, jr says well, listen, maybe we'll meet again.
Um, maybe we'll have anothertime to talk.
(51:56):
Now I'm wondering, like, why areyou so quick to go sell cliff
up the river?
Why are you asking?
I think what triggered it wasthe hank johnson.
This guy knows who hank johnsonis and what kind of things he
does.
So he went and told the bankerwho goes to tell jr.
Jr is like um, oh my god, Ireally don't know what he's
talking about.
I don't know why you brought mein here.
That's weird.
(52:16):
Jeremy, as the guy's called, islike yeah, well, you know, I
just thought you might want toknow, just in case you need to
know anything.
He knows what's up.
He also wanted to bring JR inbecause he heard about the
Ewings possibly getting divorced.
There actually folds a littlebit divorced.
(52:38):
There actually folds a littlebit.
He tells the guy that you knowmy mom and dad could possibly be
getting a divorce.
I understand you had a littletrouble when Bobby was running
the company, but I'm here now.
We can have a really, reallygood relationship.
I understand you know a lot ofpeople.
You know a lot of importantthings.
Basically, he asked do you knowanybody who might, you know,
(53:00):
want to buy Ewing Oil if it wereever for sale?
You know what I'm saying.
Do you think maybe you can makea call or two, maybe see if
they'd be interested in buyingit, see if they had a nice cushy
position for me with a lot ofstock options and cash and
whatnot?
So this man is a businessman.
(53:21):
He's thinking okay, jr, I hearyou.
I hear you.
I know west star oil may or maynot be looking.
Maybe I could give him a call,see what's up.
Scandalous, however, appledidn't fall, far from the.
His dad was prepared to do thesame thing, is prepared to do
(53:42):
the same thing, aj Eric jumpingthe gun a little bit maybe seems
like it, but also I'm like, wow, he heard the voice and thought
let me protect my money first.
It's crazy.
This guy is ruthless.
Ruthless with a smile whichmakes a big, big difference.
Oh, all right, guys, that's it,that's all.
(54:03):
So what do you think?
Do you think Mitch is out ofcontrol?
Do you think he's taking it alittle bit too far?
Do you think JR is taking ittoo far?
How long can Sue Ellen fightFlint on this?
Leave your husband tag thing.
Do you think JR is going todivorce?
Sue Ellen?
I do not.
I do not see that happening.
(54:23):
All right, guys, in themeantime, in between time, enjoy
yourself, stay hydrated, staymoisturized, mind your own
business and keep all of yourdrama on tv.
Thank you, bye.
