(00:45):
Let's dive in.
Welcome back to the podcast.
If you are new here, I'm Rae,I'm a somatic coach and
breathwork facilitator, and ifyou aren't new here, welcome
back.
I'm so glad that you're tuningin for today's episode.
So for today's episode, Iwanted to speak with you all
(01:08):
about transitioning into thisnew season of spring.
So the spring equinox istomorrow, march 20th, and
although I'm recording this aweek before, I will be in San
Diego when this, a week before,I will be in San Diego when this
(01:31):
episode is live and I'll bethere for a advanced breathwork
facilitator training and energytraining.
So I'm sure I'll be settingsome pretty powerful intentions
with the spring equinoxhappening while I'm there and
we'll see how this retreatserves me.
I'm excited for it.
So this spring season is allabout allowing yourself to clear
(01:53):
out the old energy of being inthat winter cocoon, which is so
needed Winter is a much slower, softer time and allowing
yourself to step into somethingnew.
So spring is a time of change.
It's a time of growth andexpansion, and these changes
(02:17):
change in general can bechallenging and it can bring up
some stuff because it'sunsettling.
When there's change, we don'tnecessarily know what's
happening next.
It can elicit some fears, someworries, some anxiety, and so
it's really important to alsofeel safe and supported when
(02:38):
you're going through differenttransitions and different
seasons, transitions anddifferent seasons.
So wherever you fall on thescale of, maybe you're still
kind of like holding on tosomething tightly from the
winter season or the past fewmonths, or maybe you're, you
know, feeling ready to let itall go and kind of move in a new
(03:00):
direction.
So wherever you fall on thatscale, maybe you're right in the
middle, is exactly right, andthat's what we're going to be
working with for today's episode, so I'm going to be chatting
with you about all of thesethings.
I'm really excited to bring youtoday's topic and for front
desk items, check out the shownotes for any information about
(03:25):
the retreat that is coming inOctober, and there is one event
that I am also hosting thismonth, so check out the show
notes for any information onthose opportunities.
So for me personally, anytimethere is a change in season, I
really look at it as anopportunity to look back and
(03:46):
reflect and also an opportunityto pivot or change anything that
might be needed for me.
So when I look back at the pastfew months, there has been a
lot of change already and therehas been some settling too.
I feel these past few monthsI've definitely felt more
(04:09):
grounded, which feels reallygood, and settled into what I do
.
I also, in the past few months, have started a new job, a new
opportunity, so that might besomething I'll share with you
about soon, but that'sdefinitely been.
You know, when I'm looking backat the past few months, that's
been a change.
(04:29):
I also received so much fromthe trip that I went on to Costa
Rica and I think that I'm stilllike riding the high from that
trip.
No joke, I really feel likethat trip was just so moving for
me, it was so powerful, I don'tknow.
So I'm still integrating fromthat trip.
(04:51):
But when I look at the pastseason that I've experienced,
those are the two big thingsthat stand out for me.
And if I were to release or letgo of anything personally for
myself it would probably be justthe noise, like the doubts, the
what-ifs, other people'sprojections, literally anything
(05:15):
that's in my energy field thatisn't serving my highest good or
my highest alignment.
That is what I will bereleasing when I do my practices
and when I go on this retreatnext week.
That is pretty much myintention.
So I'm just realizing nowactually that this retreat is
happening during the springequinox and during the season.
(05:37):
I didn't actually piece thattogether until right now while
I'm recording.
So that's kind of cool.
So I'm excited to, you know, receive that support and, yeah,
really see what comes up for meand how it can serve me.
But I will, yeah, that's stuffthat I will definitely be
letting go and releasing whileI'm there.
(05:59):
And if I were to call somethingin right now, allow something to
grow or bloom or expand.
I would say you know somethingthat you all know about if you
listen to the podcast.
But aligned retreat signups, that's something that definitely
feels good for me.
I really want to bring like avery incredible group of people
(06:23):
together and just watching itform and seeing who's interested
and who might come.
It's looking so cool, like it'sgoing gonna be amazing.
So I'm calling in alignedretreat signups and I would love
to also plan another fun tripwith my husband and we have a
(06:46):
few friends that we like totravel with sometimes, so that
might be happening this springseason.
So, if that does, calling injust like fun and adventure and
love and joy and I I kind ofstruggle with a little bit when
it comes to being a veryspecific manifester.
(07:09):
I, really, when I about andprobably you can hear me even
talking about it now I talkabout more of like how I want to
feel or like the energy of whatI want to call in.
I'm not like I want to do, Iwant this specific thing.
I want like a yellow bike orsomething like that.
Like it's not really how itgoes for me, because I think
(07:33):
it's really about how I'mfeeling and I really just want
to be in a high vibration and bealigned and really be, yeah,
like aligned with what I'mcalling in.
So, to summarize, I would sayif I'm calling anything, it
would be aligned retreat signupsand all of those aspects of fun
and love and travel and hangingout with my friends and my
(07:55):
husband and all those fun things.
So for you, I would ask, I wouldinvite you to ask yourself how
has this past season been foryou?
It's water season this pastseason, according to five
element theory, and that is avery introspective time.
So how has this past seasonaccording to five element theory
, and that is a veryintrospective time.
So how has this past seasonbeen for you?
(08:16):
What's something that you'relooking to release or let go of
right now and what's somethingnew that you're feeling called
to invite in?
And as we transition into thisnew season and we look back at
the winter, the winter is like anice warm cocoon.
It's needed for us right, likeit's needed for us to take some
(08:40):
time to recharge the batteries.
It's a slower energy, it'sdefinitely more internal and as
we move into the spring, you canshake out, you can clear out
any of that winter energy in somany different ways so that
could look like physically.
So that might look likephysically clearing out your
(09:01):
space, so decluttering, givingthings away, cleaning out your
spaces.
And I'll also mention thatsometimes this feeling of spring
cleaning, it can take some timeto get to that place where
you're like, okay, now I'm ready.
Like I don't switch out myclothes until May, usually like
(09:24):
beginning of May, so I keep mywinter and my summer clothes
separate and then I'll switchthem out, them out, and every
time I make a switch I clear outanything that either on either
end that I'm not going to wearor I don't like anymore.
So a lot of.
I guess I'm talking aboutclothes specifically here.
But you could be cleaning outand you know, clearing out your
(09:45):
spaces in any way.
But the act of physicallyclearing out your space can be
supportive for transitioninginto this new season
Energetically.
You can also do things likesomatic shaking and movement,
breath work, really, reallysupportive for clearing out and
(10:06):
keeping your energy clear.
And you can also use breathwork and journaling and those
energetic practices to help youwith your mindset, so really
allowing your mind to rest sothat you can kind of clear out
any of those thoughts that areno longer serving you, anything
that is weighing on you.
(10:27):
You can lean into thoseenergetic practices as well to
support you with your mindset.
So this transition is really anopportunity for you to reset,
an opportunity for you to landexactly where you are and an
opportunity for you to grow.
So the season of spring, orwood season, in five element
(10:51):
theory, is all about expansion.
So that can look like havingnew ideas, having new energy.
It's all about growth.
So there is a moving forwardfeeling to it and you can even
kind of see it obviously innature we have sprouts that
(11:13):
might be popping up through thesoil and things are beginning to
grow as the season continues.
It's also a season of abundancein all different ways.
You know, when you have thatmoving forward energy, when you
have those new ideas and newenergy and expansion and growth,
abundance makes sense that itwould be paired with that energy
(11:37):
.
And it's also a time ofexpression.
So that could look likecreative expression,
self-expression, really allowingyour voice and your needs and
yourself to be heard.
So that's another flavor ofthis season and if you are
(11:57):
looking to align with thedifferent aspects of wood season
so expansion, growth, abundance, expression you can make it
into a ritual so you can giveyourself the time and space and
see what you need and see what'shere for you now, and you can
make it into a ritual.
You can do a little bit ofbreath work, meditation,
(12:20):
journaling, cacao, even.
You can set your intention forwhat you're looking to call in,
what you're looking to grow.
You can answer those fewquestions that I mentioned in
the beginning of the episode and, as you're doing the ritual,
you can really think about whatyou need right now and what
(12:41):
would be supportive for you inthis season of where you are All
right.
So that is what we have fortoday's episode.
So a quick recap.
We talked about moving throughseasons of change.
We talked about the differentelements of wood season and
really listening to your bodyand moving at your pace,
allowing yourself to makesetting your spring intention a
(13:04):
bit of a ritual if that feelsgood for you.
