Jake Johnson (Minx, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse) joins for an episode of Son of a Binge to chat all about New Girl, his new podcast, "We're Here to Help," with Garrett Reynolds, his friendship with co-stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, and Hannah Simone, and what it was like working with Tom Cruise. Jake confesses that he and Zooey quickly realized how beloved Nick & Jess were on New Girl, and how they often talked about why it was so important to grow that relationship with care. He reveals which popular TV couples from The Office and Cheers they took inspiration from as they developed their onscreen super couple over 7 seasons. Jake also talks about what he learned from Tom Cruise, while filming The Mummy, when they were working out together one day.
