Ever had one of those nights where sleep just won't come? That's exactly where this journey begins—tossing and turning until finally surrendering to a 3 AM coffee and pre-dawn workout. But what follows is far more than sleep talk; it's a doorway into authentic wellness conversations that balance health with happiness.

Dive deep with me into the world of clean beauty as I share my month-long experiment with Zen Redhead's organic skincare line. Initially skeptical of their lighter consistency compared to conventional products, I discovered that consistency truly is key. After faithful nightly application, my skin transformed—softer, brighter, and free from the endocrine-disrupting chemicals I've been working to eliminate from my life. The essential oil scents might initially remind you of your grandmother (as they did me!), but the results speak for themselves. Ready to try for yourself? Code SPANDEX20 gives you 20% off through April. CLICK HERE

The conversation shifts to what might be the ultimate girlfriend getaway—Wine Camp in Virginia's stunning wine country. Picture this: two beautiful homes on a 3,500-acre property, a private pool, winery and brewery within walking distance, and a gorgeous lake with dock access. Beyond the wine tastings, we'll explore topics like manifesting your dreams, aging gracefully, and creating the life you truly want, all culminating in a hippie-themed "Wine Stock" celebration. This retreat perfectly embodies what balance means to me—movement, learning, connection, celebration, and yes, wine!

Most exciting of all is the announcement of my newest creation: The Happiness Blueprint. Born from my mission to help women become healthier and happier, this program offers simple shifts that create profound changes in how we experience daily life. Because who doesn't want more happiness? Not that we're unhappy people, but couldn't we all use more tools in our happiness arsenal?

(00:22):

Ready to jump in, poursomething in your glass that
makes you happy, because it'stime for spandex and wine.
Hey guys, it's Robin.
Thanks for coming back to thepodcast.
Holy moly, last night was one ofthose nights where I could not

(00:43):
sleep, and I've been doingreally well lately, but the past
two nights have been such astruggle.
I know a lot of you can relate.
I ended up flip-flopping in ourbed, went into our extra
bedroom, flip-flopped there, went back to our bedroom, then
ended up just getting up atthree something drinking a cup
of coffee and I just thought I'mjust going to go ahead and go
into the gym, go to work and getmy workout done before teaching

(01:06):
my six o'clock class and thenmy next appointment wasn't until
late morning, so I was nappingby 8.30 AM.
It is so frustrating.
I know you can relate.
I'm sorry if you can't take anap at 8.30 in the morning when
you really want to, but I knowthat tonight's going to be so
much better.
I can't wait.
All right, did you see mypodcast bracket challenge?

(01:29):
I put it up on our Facebookgroup and also on my personal
Facebook profile.
It's just a fun play on MarchMadness, putting my top 16 most
downloaded episodes up againsteach other to see who gets the
most listens, and you get todetermine who wins.
A vote is a listen, a listen isa vote.
So that's all you have to do.

(01:50):
We did four matchups this pastweekend and I'll resume next
weekend, actually on Thursday, friday, saturday, sunday so you
can watch for your favorite andbe sure to go listen to give
them a vote.
I think I'm not 100% sure aboutthis, but I think and I put
this in the comments as wellthat you just have to listen for

(02:11):
60 plus seconds to get themtheir download.
I'm pretty sure that's right.
I'm not sure.
I'll have to double check that.
All right.
Today's episode is going to be agrab bag of sorts.
It's already started out thatway.
I think it's my lack of sleep,I don't know.

(02:32):
I recently told you, I wasgoing to do some product reviews
, so some of the guests thathave been on I've purchased some
of their products or I've justlooked at different things that
I've talked about on the podcastand purchased them and tried
them.
So I'm going to talk about thattoday one of the products and
as well as an upcomingexperience that you'll probably
want to jump on with your bestie, and I'm also going to share
something that I have up mysleeve for all of you.

(02:53):
So let's start with a productreview.
Do you remember me having TamaraHutchins on the show?
In her episode?
We talked about her career inacupuncture, as well as her Zen
Redhead organic skincare.
So I purchased some of herproducts with the discount code
that she graciously gave all ofus.
I was in need of new productsbecause I had run out of what

(03:15):
I'd been using.
I wanted to support her and Iloved the sound of organic
products.
After all, I've been working onremoving endocrine disruptors
that I put in on and around mybody, so it just made sense All
right.
At first I wasn't sure how Ifelt.
They weren't the typical thickmoisturizer and serum that you
often see or use.

(03:36):
I think you just kind of getused to those types of things.
What I purchased was the PureGeisha Cleansing Oil, which I
love for removing makeup, theAngel Mist Hydrator love how
that feels on my skin as wellthe Zen Polish Exfoliant I
haven't used that as much andthe Replenishing Facial Oil,
which I really like, but I usethem all sporadically, as is my

(04:00):
typical practice.
I am so bad about sticking toan evening routine with washing
my face.
I know that's terrible, but I'mworking on it and it has gotten
better.
So I did ask one of my friendsthat also purchased the products
what she thought, and she saidshe really enjoyed them and was
going to purchase more.
So I decided to give it abetter effort and stick to the

(04:20):
regimen nightly for a couple ofweeks, or actually it was longer
than that.
It's probably been a month nowto truly test them out.
Lo and behold, it worked.
I feel like my skin is softerand softer looking and even
brighter, and I love the idea ofessential oils in the products
instead of like the fake smellychemicals.
But it did take a little bit ofgetting used to.

(04:42):
I feel like I smell like mygrandma when I use them, but
I've embraced that and can saythat I recommend her skincare
line.
I'm happy to say that.
So a thank you to Tamara forcreating such wonderful products
and my friend Shella forencouraging me to stick with the
plan.
So I would see the results, andyou can check out all the
products atzenredheadskincarecom and use

(05:04):
the code SPANDEX20 for 20% offthrough April 30th.
That's a great deal, you guys, and I'm so happy that Tamra
decided to extend that for usAll.
Right Now to the experiencethat you would want to jump on
with your bestie.
When I started this podcast, Iwas still a wine guide with
Traveling Vineyard doing in-homewine tastings, and they were so

(05:25):
much fun and it gave mesomething that I didn't realize
I needed in my life friendships, and since they've shut down, I
have missed those relationshipsand seeing all those like-minded
women and men at our annualconference.
So my friend Penny and I havedecided or actually this is the
second year we've done this.
It's not like we just decidedthis, but we are doing an annual

(05:46):
trip called Wine Camp.
This year we are traveling toVirginia wine country at the end
of July and we have two homesrented at the gorgeous Mount Ida
Reserve.
Oh my gosh, you guys.
It is spectacular.
We have our own private pool.
The property is on 3,500 acres.
There's a winery and brewery onsite that we can walk to, plus

(06:08):
a lake with a fabulous dock andso many fun things to do.
But I want you to know that thisisn't just about wine.
I mean, that's part of it, butwe are also doing some mini
courses on various subjects likemanifesting and aging
gracefully, creating the lifeyou want, and so many more
topics thrown in there.

(06:28):
Plus, I'll be instructingvarious fitness classes.
The theme this year is peace, love, wine, and of course, we
will end everything with winestock on Saturday night, with
everyone decked out in theirbest hippie outfit.
I can't wait to see whateveryone comes up with.
It is going to be an absoluteblast.
We do have a few spots left, soreach out to me with questions

(06:50):
or join one of our Q&A calls orcheck out the show notes.
I'll put it all in there aswell, and you guys know how to
get a hold of me.
You can email info atspandexandwine or you can text
me at 913-392-2877.
Ladies, let's talk about thestruggle.
You've tried every sports braout there, but somehow they

(07:14):
either turn your workout into abounce fest, lose their mojo
after a few washes or fit aboutas well as your ex's bad advice.
Enter Rax, the sports bra thatactually gets the job done.
Whether you're hitting the gym, chasing your grandkids or power
walking like you own the block, rax keeps the girls secure and

(07:34):
comfy.
Say goodbye to the bounce andhello to support that sticks.
Grab yours today at myraxcomthat's M-Y-W-R-A-Xcom and use
the code SPANDAX for 10% off, because your girls deserve the
best.

(07:54):
All right, lastly, is a littletease about what I've been
working on lately.
So my intention or my missionwith my fitness business is to
help women become healthier andhappier, and I've been focusing
on the happy part and digginginto it more to pinpoint what
that really means to me and howto stay in that happy zone and

(08:16):
help my clients do the same.
I mean, we all just want to behappier and healthier, right,
and not that we're necessarilyunhappy people, but I just think
that we could all use more ofthat in our life, and there's
just so many different ways thatI have been looking at this
that I'm anxious to share withyou.
So I'm excited to announce getready, here it is the Happiness

(08:37):
Blueprint Simple Shifts for aHealthier, happier you Yay.
So details will be coming soonand I hope you'll join me I mean
, who knows, this might turninto a book and likely there
will be a free webinar and thiswill be the course that I'll
take on the road that I've beentalking about, and I'll roll it
into a summer tour, like I didlast summer, but this year I

(08:59):
want to reach a broader audience, so not every stop will be in
Kansas City.
In fact, I'll probably just doone, maybe two, here in Kansas
City.
So I'm working on that schedule.
In case you want to just followme around the country, I would
love that, but I'll get that outas soon as I get it completed.
All right, that is it for today.

(09:20):
If you're not receiving myweekly newsletter on Wednesday
afternoons, I highly recommendthat you subscribe.

like my attention span is justoh my gosh, it's so short.
So I try and do the same foryou guys and give helpful tips
and swaps for healthier products, for things that you can do in

(09:43):
your life, and just informationthat will, in turn, help you
live a healthier and happierlife.

It's usually always there.
But again, you can just reachout to me.
You can direct message me, youcan text me, you can email me.
