(00:22):
taking chances and caring foryour body, especially your gut,

Hello and welcome to theSpandex and Wine podcast.
(00:44):
I'm your host, robin Hackney, and I'm so happy that you're
here.
This podcast is a place forconversations about balancing a
healthy lifestyle and beinghappy.
More specifically, happy hour.
Together we'll explore allthings wellness and wine.
I hope you learn a little, laugh a lot and, along the way,
know you're not alone on thisbalanced wellness journey.
(01:04):
Ready to jump in, poursomething in your glass that
makes you happy, because it'stime for spandex and wine.
Here we go, friends.
All right, change is inevitable, and that's a good thing.
Change is one of those thingsthat we all experience, whether
we want to or not, and, if I'mbeing honest, sometimes it feels
(01:27):
like a rug pulled out fromunder you.
But here's what I've learnedwhen we stop resisting change
and start trusting it, doorsstart flying open.
So recently I went through ashift in my fitness classes
something that I have poured myheart and soul into for years
(01:49):
and, wow, the change turned outto be bigger than I expected.
But you know what?
I have peace with it.
I truly believe Godorchestrated this transition
perfectly.
I feel like I'm exactly whereI'm supposed to be.
It's almost like he said I'vegot something even better
waiting for you.
Just trust me.
And once I stopped trying tocontrol every step and get out
(02:13):
of my own way, incredibleopportunities did pop up, ones
that I had never seen, and Iwouldn't have seen if I had
stayed stuck in fear and in myold routines.
So you know, sometimes you haveto let go of what's comfortable
to step into what's possible.
If you're facing a change rightnow, lean in.
(02:35):
There might be somethingamazing waiting for you on the
other side, and you might evenwant to just pause right here
and think about something whatare you standing in your own way
about what, if you made thatstep to the side or that step
forward or whatever it might beto allow yourself to make that
(02:56):
change and that shift, and whatopportunities or possibilities
could open up for you.
So maybe just think on that fora minute.
Opportunities or possibilitiescould open up for you.
So maybe just think on that fora minute.
And then this next part wasinspired by a quote that I
shared in a recent reel.
If you follow me on Instagramor Facebook, and the quote is
(03:17):
while you still have breath, itis never too late to be all that
you can possibly be.
Okay, I think that's powerful, but also words that I try and
live by.
I've always believed insqueezing every drop out of life
.
You can just ask Dave and myfriends around me and my clients
.
So in the real, I shared momentsof me doing some wild and fun
(03:41):
and silly things, like jumpingout of an airplane and working
out and just cheersing withfriends, even slicing off the
top of a champagne bottle with asword at a winery on one of our
retreats.
And why do I show these things?
Why am I saying this?
It's because life is short.
It's too short to sit on thesidelines.
(04:03):
I mean, you hear these thingsall the time.
I know it sounds so cliche, butI'm not here to just exist
through life.
I want to live it.
I want to try the things thatscare me a little.
I mean, you guys have seen that.
You know that about me.
Laugh until I cry, fall down, get back up and try again.
I am not afraid of making amistake.
(04:23):
There are no failures, becauseI would not be the person that I
am today had I not tried.
So sometimes we let fear keep ussmall.
We think we're too old, we'retoo busy, we're too out of shape
, we're too this, we're too that.
But no matter your age or yourstage of life, there's always
room for more joy, there's roomfor more laughter, there's room
(04:45):
for more memories, and it's alljust waiting for you.
So if you've been waiting for asign to take a leap, here it is
Go, do that thing you've beendreaming about.
The world needs your joy.
You might be surprised how manydoors open when you just start
saying yes.
So we're going to make thatchange, we're going to make that
(05:06):
shift and we're also going toput ourselves out there in an
uncomfortable way.
I think you can do it All right.
So now let's talk aboutsomething that's made a huge
difference in my life lately andif you have not been listening,
I don't know how you've missedit.
It's gut health.
I know it might sound trendy, but hear me out.
(05:28):
I've been in the fitnessindustry for 23 years and I've
never felt as good as I do now.
That menopause fluff yep, it'sshrinking.
My energy skyrocket ask myclients, my husband, my mood
happier than I've been in agesand brain fog it's gone.
I just feel so good, and it'snothing magic and it's not a
(05:52):
quick fix.
So I don't want you to thinkthat this is a quick fix.
It's healing your gut andcontinuing to feed your gut
properly.
So I don't want you to thinkthat this is a quick fix.
It's healing your gut andcontinuing to feed your gut
properly.
So balancing my microbiome, regulating blood sugar, managing
inflammation and supporting myhormones with plant-based, all
natural supplements.
It has been a total gamechanger for me.
(06:12):
And here's the thing everythingstarts in the gut.
The gut-brain connection isreal.
You heal your gut and you startto heal everything else too
your skin, your energy, yourmood, your sleep, even your
confidence.
I want this for you, too.
So I am offering freeconsultations.
I've mentioned this before, butno strings attached.

happier, and that's what I'vedone for me.
That's what I want to help youdo too.
So there you have it, friend.
Life's too short to ignorechange, too precious to live
small and too amazing to settlefor.
So whether it's jumping into anew adventure, like I tend to do
, often saying yes to bigpossibilities, or maybe finally
(07:41):
taking care of your gut or youand your needs, right, that's
sometimes hard to do too.
