and I hope y'all kept that vibegoing.

whatever you prefer, you know.
With that being said, um, oneof the things I want to talk

(00:43):
about other subjects I want totouch on before we jump into
what today's topic of thispodcast is going to be about is,
you know, being that it's a newyear and a lot of people are
trying new things, you know, coming out of their comfort zone
, starting businesses, startingcareers or becoming just

(01:07):
entrepreneurs and artists, creators, doing things, you know
, that they never thought thatthey could do, but actually
taking the step to do it.
Be aware of those people whoare also out here taking
advantage, because, just as muchas people are starting and
coming out of their comfort zone, you have these people that sit
back and plot and, you know, wait on vulnerable people who

(01:31):
don't have the knowledge that'sneeded to start certain things.
So just that's something I wantto put in y'all head, just to
be mindful of that, because Icould go in and go into details,
but I'm gonna leave that foranother episode.
But, um, just do your research.
When you're getting into thesecontracts, you're starting

(01:52):
things or doing thesepartnerships with different
people, make sure you're lookingthese people up, make sure
you're checking to make surethey're legit, their businesses
are registered, that they are areal, legit business, before you
invest not only your money butyour time into them.

So the first thing is believe inwhat you're doing, because when

(03:22):
you try something that's likeuntested or something that
you're just trying out for thefirst time, you got to take a
leap of faith.
Otherwise it's going to be tooeasy to just give up, because a
lot of people are scared offailure and if you don't believe
in what you're doing, how doyou expect for someone else to

(03:43):
have?
You know, a belief in you?
And you have to believe inyourself from the beginning to
even have the strength or thatresilience to keep going through
and following through with whatyou're trying to do.
Let's talk about failures.
Let's talk about failures Likeif you ask any successful person

(04:06):
how they got that way, they'regoing to most likely tell you
it's due to overcoming failureslike trying things or doing
things that they were scared ofor that they thought they'd
never be able to do.
They learn from those failuresand they try something different
.
Each thing that they try.
They.
Each thing that they try, theylearn something from it.

(04:27):
They learn something new fromit.
A failure is always anopportunity to learn something
new or to start over.
That's what I like to say.
You know they continue on untilthere were no more failures
left or until they perfected it,but they didn't give up.
If you ask anybody that's beenon the journey or taking the
same path that you're on, I'mpretty sure that they're going

(04:47):
to tell you that the best thingor the best piece of advice you
know is to learn from a failure,is learning, is growth and let
other people help you.
Sometimes, when we face adversesituations or like difficult
situations, other people canhelp you.
You know they could turn yoursituation around.
It's rare that it's not anyoneout there who's who's faced the

(05:12):
same situation as you or otherswho have been through what
you're going through, so you gotto reach out to them.
It's better to get the helpthat you need than to just sit
there and struggle with asituation when you know somebody
that could really genuinelyhelp you and I know some people
you know avoid reaching outbecause they may be embarrassed

(05:34):
or they just think that thatperson is going to either talk
about them or they're not goingto help them at all.
Just remember, though, thosepeople once went through it too
and make sure that the peoplethat you're dealing with is a
person that's of integrity youknow how honesty, like a person
that you can trust and, justoverall, you know, know who

(05:58):
you're dealing with and knowwhat you're dealing with, and if
you're facing like a difficultsituation, it may be because
you're setting your expectationstoo high.
You know you could have triedto accomplish something that it
just it wasn't possible or itwas beyond your current level of
skills at that time.

(06:19):
So, by adjusting yourexpectations, you may be able to
succeed in your situations.
Expectations you may be able tosucceed in your situations.
If you've ever thought about itlike that, like because
sometimes we do, like we we putour expectations so high for
everything, and then, whensomething doesn't go our way,
you know we get in this, thisdownward spiral, and then the

(06:40):
depression, the, the lack ofmoving forward, all of that
starts setting in.
And when you fail or somethingbad happens, or a difficult
situation happens, or it's timefor a change, or change,
something adverse comes up.
Don't, don't wait to try again.
If you fell for something, youknow, if you're in a situation

(07:05):
and it's due to youprocrastinating, then you
probably going to figure out youneed to stop that behavior by
now.
I mean, if you look ateverybody around you in the
world, I mean, even though we'restill actively going through a
pandemic, the world is stillmoving, people are still doing
things, things, people are stillaccomplishing things.

(07:27):
So if you let something buildbecause it's uncomfortable to
deal with, then in most casesthat situation is just going to
get worse or you're going tostay stuck in that same
situation while everybody isconsistently moving forward and
achieving success in their formof success in their life.

(07:47):
I always say your or their life.
That's another, another topic,a subject we gotta touch on,
because a lot of people beworried about the wrong
situations and the wrong things, like your success isn't that
person's success.
So just learn to just try, tryand learn how to conquer, like,
your fears.

(08:07):
Often adversity or just beingscared is due to us not taking
action because we're scared.
That word, fear, is so strongand it holds so many people back
and stops them from doing somany things.
When you face your fears, youcan move past the difficult
situations and get on with yourlife.

(08:29):
I mean like you're able to sortthose things out and learn what
is causing you to feel the waythat you feel.
It's no longer like a blame, ablame game.
You're able to sort out certainareas in your life that have
held you back of hope or hadfear over your life.

(08:51):
You're able to sort throughthose and dictate it and push
through it.
So try some daring activities, like do something you've never
done before.
I know my birthday is coming upthe 3rd of February, and not
only that, it's just I'm gettingolder, I'm about to be 38, I'm

(09:11):
almost 40 and it's a couplethings that I want to do that
I've never done because I wasjust scared to do it.
So I'm you know, I'm gonna takemy own advice and I'm gonna go
do some of the things that I'vebeen scared to do, like they're
all adventurous things.
Most of the things that I'vebeen fearful of doing over the

(09:32):
past couple years I've been ableto accomplish those.
I've gotten it.
I've I've done it.
I've faced my fears and I'veI've did it.
But there are a few more thingsthat I want to do.
And then the point is you know, you just want to create
situations that you are notnormally find yourself doing.
Usually, when you overcome onefear, it's like the process

(09:54):
helps you to overcome all ofthem.
I'm telling you, it's like aset of dominoes.
And another aspect to adversityis not being honest with
ourselves about the situation.
Like people tend to hide theirtrue feelings or deny how
they're feeling when they'refacing a situation.

(10:14):
So you got to try to learn youknow what is really truly going
on and be honest with yourself.
And then, like I said, that'smost importantly, always, first
and foremost, you always got tobe honest with yourself.
Honesty when you, when yourecognize what's hurting you,

(10:37):
what's holding you back, whatare the things you're scared of,
and you start dealing withthose things, it allows
happiness to come in your lifeand those things that you used
to trip over or those thingsthat used to hurt you, you can
speak of them freely and you canlive your life and move forward
and recreate what you want.

(10:59):
And so, um, like I said, Ipromise to leave you with three
actionable steps that you cantake right away, today, today,
tomorrow, so, um, tomorrowstarts a new day.
So I mean, it's completely, totally up to you, um, the first
one would be create a journalto record, you know, when these

(11:19):
situations that occur in yourlife happen.
Write them down and what youwere feeling at the time and how
you believe you got into thosesituations and, eventually, what
you did to resolve them.
Like each time, maybe you'llsee that it's different and
it'll serve as a guidebook forfuture situations.
When things like that happen, you'll have something to look
back to, and not only thatjournaling helps with your

(11:43):
mental health, um, with, ithelps with so many things.
It's a sense of that.
I have some more blog posts onmy website, if you check that
out, about journaling too.
The next step would be take aseminar, a course, on how to
stop procrastinating.
That's one of the main thingsthat holds a lot of us back and
holds people back isprocrastinating.

(12:03):
Procrastination when you getthrough that, that thing is no.
Procrastination is no longer onyour list in your life.
Oh my gosh, the things that youachieve.
Let me tell you, but you canfind courses online.
Um, your company may offer themand they might even cover the
cost.
Procrastination is like it's ahabit that you spent years

(12:25):
developing, so you can't expectto overcome it after like, just
one course and one sitting.
You may have to take several ofthem to reinforce the concepts
of that, because procrastinationis like it's an illness if you
let it last for that long.
And the last tip or actionablestep that I have for you is to

(12:49):
find a support group for, likean adverse situation or
difficult situation, somethingthat you're going through.
I mean nowadays, the internet.
You could type something in anda group will pop up about that
and you can find these online.
Or you can search the boards, bulletin boards, the library,

(13:09):
different websites you can findin there.
Or consider starting your owngroup and making a post about it
.
You'd be surprised at how manypeople are going through some of
the same things that you'regoing through right now, in the
adverse times that we're goingthrough.
And, with that being said, youknow, check on the people that

(13:31):
you are close to.
Reach out to them, phone call, you know, just check on
everybody, check on yourself, keep your mental health in check
.
That's the most important thing.
We can turn our difficultsituations into success.
You can have success in manyways in your life.

(13:55):
Success is possible.
Just you have to focus, youhave to want it, you have to be
resilient and you just have tokeep pushing and moving forward.
You just have to keep pushingand moving forward.
