Selina Mills is an award-winning writer and broadcaster who is legally blind. Educated in the USA and the UK, Selina has worked as a senior reporter and broadcaster for Reuters, The Daily Telegraph, and the BBC. In 2019, she was awarded the Royal Society of Literature Jerwood Prize for first time non-fiction writers. Her historical memoir, Life Unseen: A Story of Blindness, uses historical research over the ages to explain how we interpret blindness in the 21st century. It is a book where blind people can own their history.
In 2022 Selina Mills was listed as one of the top 100 disabled people in Britain, organized by the Shaw Power 100 disabled list.
