Theatre Major Makes Upcycling Cool with Fresh Prince Fit Designs

Brandon Alston, a costume design major at CofC, is injecting new life into second hand clothing. Fresh Prints Designs started as a hobby and grew into a thriving business during the long days of COVID.  In his hands a client's favorite but faded and stained hoodie is restored and reworked into a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of sustainable clothing. Alston credits professors from the theatre and costume department for showing him how to connect his creative talents and technical skills to build a successful small business.
