(00:43):

Hey, beautiful soul, welcome infor another episode of spirit
speakeasy. Today, we are goingto go over nine steps to reset
the energy of your home and lifefor spring or any season. I'm
happy to be here with you today,as you know, we just had the
spring equinox. But these stepscan be used any season that you

(01:07):
want to just give an energeticreset, refresh to your physical
space and also your life. Solet's dive right in. The first
step is to declutter andorganize. Now I want to talk a
little bit about what to do hereand the energy behind it,
because I think we all hearlike, okay, yes, declutter and

(01:28):
spring, we know, but it'sdecluttering and organizing in a
way, to reset the energy, kindof letting go what's not serving
us. And I'm talking aboutdrawers, closets, cabinets, your
car, your desk, your diaper bagor purse or backpack, your
medicine cabinet, your thingslike lotion, makeup,
supplements, that kind of thing, your underwear drawer, your

(01:50):
Tupperware shelf. So it's notjust the things we can see with
our physical eyes, but it'sreally opening drawers and
cabinets. And a little pro tiphere is it's okay not to do this
all in one sitting. It's a bigundertaking, and we can often
get discouraged when, whensomething that we're wanting to
do is like a really big project.
Most of us don't have severaldays we can set aside to do a

(02:12):
full declutter like this. Soit's okay to do like one drawer
or one cabinet at a time, like Isaid, most of us don't have a
whole weekend to set aside. Sothink of ways that you can set a
timer for even 10 minutes, 15minutes, five minutes, if you
want to really do things like gothrough that pile of mail that's

(02:33):
been collecting on your table orentry desk, for example, while
you have something in the ovencooking, could you go through
one kitchen drawer or cabinetnext time you pull off your
sheets to wash them? Could youspend 10 minutes decluttering
and reorganizing yournightstand, for example? So it's
these little ways, and then ifwe spend a couple weeks just

(02:56):
finding a little extra five or10 minutes here and there. Maybe
you're waiting in traffic, or,well, maybe not traffic, but be
safe driving. But maybe you'rewaiting to pick up kids from
practice, or maybe you're havean extra 10 minutes before you
have to go into work when you'rein your car. Could you just kind
of quickly do a little trashdecluttering? If you've got, I

(03:18):
know I've got some little likestraw papers and stuff in the
side of my door. So can youdeclutter like that? The energy
of clutter keeps us feelingbound up, keeps us feeling a
little bit stuck, a little bitstagnant. So you will be amazed
how you feel when even one roomin your house is fully
decluttered, especially inwinter time, we can tend to just

(03:41):
let little things pile updifferent places. Maybe you keep
things mostly clean. But I thinkmost of us have some version of
a pile of mail or papers orthings that we need to file, or
I know that I have a pile ofpapers, I documents I need to
shred, for example, maybe it's Ialso have a little shelf of

(04:01):
oracle cards that could could bea little tidier and reorganized.
So it's just this energy oftidying up and reorganizing
decluttering so that you havefresh, clear energy in that zone
of your house. Now this next onethat is a part B to this is
release and clear. One of thereasons we want to do that is to

(04:23):
make room for blessing. So whatdoes it look like to release and
clear? It's it's a physicalaction that is going to free up
energy for us. So be sure todust. I actually the reason I
put decluttering and organizingfirst is, I don't know about
you, but sometimes when I'mdecluttering, I feel like little
bits of glitter end up places,or little bits of dust, or so

(04:47):
it's good to kind of do thatpiece of it first and then next,
after you've decluttered andsorted and organized and figured
out what you're giving away, what you're throwing away,
really just. Release and clear.
So be sure to dust, sweep, vacuum, etc, shake your carpets
outside, whatever you can do toget the dust bunnies out. So to

(05:08):
speak. I personally am excitedto wash the upholstery on my
couch. I usually do it inspring, and I got a little cool
machine on really good sale. Soare there things like that that
you're just excited to kind ofget that stagnant winter time or
past season energy out of Besure to open the windows, if
possible, if you're somewherewhere the weather is good enough

(05:30):
to do so, if not, like, if youcan't open the windows where you
are, can you open the blinds orcurtains and just let light in?
We're thinking of likerefreshing, bringing things to
the light, clearing out thatstagnant dusty cobwebs and dust
bunnies to make room forblessings, to make room for
creativity, inspiration. Andwhen I mean, I think most of us

(05:53):
know this just from our ownlives. When our house gets a
little messy or a littleclutter, even just a basic clean
can make us feel like, Oh, somuch better, so much more
refreshed, right? But this islike that deeper seasonal clean,
if you remember, if you're oldenough to remember the kind of
the old fashioned way of doingit on the East Coast, I know the
Italian way, and I know lots ofother cultures have this way

(06:15):
too. In spring, that's what youdo. You open all the windows and
blind, you clear out, you sweepout, you're going through your
clothes from last season. Sothat's kind of the business of
it, which most of us know, decluttering seasonally, right?
But if you want to take it tothe next level, say that you've
done that, you've cleaned outyour drawers and cabinets and
trunks and refrigerator andwhatever else you have, and

(06:39):
you've done your dusting andsweeping and vacuuming and beat
all the pillows and shake andall the rugs outside and all of
that. What's the next level ofthis is doing something called a
spiritual wash. If you're newhere, you probably have,
probably haven't heard me talkabout this before, but really
it's I'm going to go into adifferent version of this later
in the episode, but you can justtake salt water, any herbs that

(07:03):
you like. I love rosemary to putin, into things to make it
fresher. You can also infuse anyenergy, whether you're an energy
healer or not. You can kind ofjust put your hands over the
water and put your positivevibes in there. Put your
positive energy, put yourhealing intentions. You can also
speak intentions into thiswater. I don't know if you have

(07:25):
seen the experiments with waterand positive words being spoken
into and the way it changes theice crystals. If you haven't
just search it, you'll findpositive words spoken to frozen
water. You'll find it and you'llsee that the water is actually
at the molecular level, affectedby positive intentions and words

(07:45):
being spoken into it. So get youa bucket or a bowl. Put some
salt water herbs. If you want, you don't have to put some
positive energy in there. Speaksome intentions into this water.
Your intentions for like, sayyou're going to do your kitchen,
your intentions for the kitchen.
I want this to be a nourishingspace where my family gathers,
where we have laughter together, where we can talk about the

(08:06):
important things in life, wherewe feel close together. I want
to provide these memories for myfamily, whatever it is your
kitchen intentions, let's justsay, and then you would take
that spiritual water and youwash down the whole space with
it, so the cabinets, thecounters, the stove top, the
floors. Now I want to mentionthis, be sure. Be sure to do a

(08:29):
test area so you don't ruin yourfloors, your walls, etc. Like we
all know, hardwood floors arenot supposed to have buckets of
water dumped on them. Forexample, we all know certain
paint, if you wipe it withwater, it's going to damage that
paint. So if you want to do thespiritual wash, just do a little
test area with your mixture. Andthen the other thing is, after

(08:52):
you do the wash, I will do thison my floors every season my
walls. You can kind of see themback here. This is my home, so
my walls don't have the type ofpaint that I could wash with a
spiritual wash. We're going totalk about that a little bit
later. Other ways to clear thespace energetically. But my
floors, I can do. So I'll dothis kind of a mixture. I'll

(09:14):
wash down my floors, and thenyou want to also kind of rinse
it or wash it down again withclear, clean water, because we
don't want that salt to dry, those herbs to dry, but it's
doing the spiritual wash, andthen washing down, like all the
cabinets, for example, infusesthe space with this grounding,
clearing energy of the sea salt.

(09:35):
It also infuses it with yourintentions. And we know water is
a magnifier, so after you'redone, you're a full, deep clean,
you can do this extra littlespiritual wash to really just
marinate that whole space andyour energetic intentions. This
is something I've done for many, many years. I learned to do this

(09:55):
many, many years ago, and I doit every season and sometimes.
I'll do it extra if I just feellike it. And I've had so many
people. There was a time where Ihad lots of kids living in my
house, bigger kids, and theywould come in and they would be
like, what's different in here?
What's changed, what's what didyou do? Did you move furniture?
Did you and really, it was justthe spiritual wash or house

(10:16):
clearing or whatever I had done.
So even when people don't knowwhat you're doing, this energy
is noticeable, and it justreally does a nice clearing, you
know, often in the winter or,you know, the season before we
can have things a little bitshut in, the energy can get kind
of stagnant. We're spending alot of time indoors,

(10:38):
particularly in winter time inthe northern hemisphere, so it's
really just kind of taking offthe energy and the intentions
that were there before, whateverhas built up energetically, or
dust and grease all of ittogether, and just giving giving
a fresh start.
Excuse me, my goodness, I mighteven edit that little cough out.

(11:01):
We'll see. Okay, so that is thespiritual wash. If you want to
take your cleaning and clearingto the next level and then on
the emotional side, just take amoment once you've done your
clearing, cleaning, once you'vedone your spiritual wash, if you
want, take a moment and getquiet and acknowledge any
shifts, any growth, any wisdomthat came from the season prior.

(11:27):
If you are in the northernhemisphere, you're just coming
out of winter like I am. What isthe wisdom that came out of the
season of darkness for you aswinter season? And if you're in
the southern hemisphere, for ourfriends in Australia and New
Zealand. What wisdom came out ofthis last season? For you, they
are summer going into fall now.
So what came to light in thesummer for you, if you're in the

(11:50):
other hemisphere, or if you'redoing this in a different season
than we're currently in rightnow? And contemplate who you are
now. What are your desires now, your intentions now for the next
months, because we change allthe time. Sometimes we start
down a path with one intention, and then we realize, Oh yeah,

(12:11):
that's not exactly what Iwanted, or that's not exactly
how I meant for this tomanifest. Now my intention is a
little different, or now I havea little more clarity on what
exactly I want this to look likeor feel like. So just getting
taking a moment and gettingclear with yourself about what
wisdom came from the pastseason. And I have a little pro
tip here for you. It's a greattime to write these down too,

(12:34):
even if you're not someone wholike regularly journals, if you
are, that is wonderful. There'slots of uses for journaling. If
you're not, I'm not the best atjournaling myself either. So if
you're not someone who journalsregularly, making a ritual of
this like at the change of theseasons, can be a powerful tool
for you as you continue tochange, grow and expand, and you

(12:57):
can even make it as simple asjust jotting down some notes
after your morning walk, or aselaborate as a really special
ritual or ceremony for yourselfat the changes of seasons, but
just kind of acknowledging, whatare you grateful for now? What
wisdom came from this pastseason? Who are you now? What's
different about you? How haveyou grown? What do you want now?

(13:20):
What are your intentions? Whathave you learned about yourself?
And if we do this every season,so let's say every three to four
months, really over a year, youcan see how much more clear
you've gotten on yourintentions, how you fine tuned,
the wisdom that you'veextracted, that you might forget
about. So as another little protip here, besides the

(13:41):
journaling, you can also set asign with the universe for the
season. You know how we'realways talking about. You can
set signs with the universe toplay, to say hello, to just
realize and know that you'resupported. So you can pick,
choose a specific sign for theseason that we're entering into.
Make a little note of it in yourjournal so you remember what it

(14:02):
is. And then you can say, okay, universe, for the
next three months, for spring of 2025
depending what season you're in,where you are when you're
listening to this, I want to setthe sign with you of Purple
Hearts. So in the next threemonths, send me Purple Hearts to
say hello, to give me support,to let me know I'm on the right

(14:23):
track, right. And you can pickany sign that you like,
something that resonates withyou, something that you feel is
fun. But just to add anotherlayer in here of communicating
with the universe, feelingsupported, and playing with the
spiritual energy of it all, because these things go hand in
hand, this physical, stagnantenergy and the spiritual energy,

(14:43):
right? So as we clear out thestagnation of the physical
energy, there's more space, there's more available void for
this spiritual play, right?
Okay, so those are a couplelittle pro tips to make it a
little extra fun and sassy ifyou want to. So more in the
spring refresh. Yeah, we want totalk about refreshing your
physical spaces. Now we'vealready done the cleaning,

(15:04):
right? And this could be home,it can be office, it could be
wherever you like. I want you tothink about things like changing
your curtains. Some places Iknow where I grew up, there's
different curtains for winterversus summer. For example, if
you live somewhere where theseasons are really impactful. So
it could be something likechanging your curtains. It could

(15:25):
be something like changing thecovers on your throw pillows. It
could mean getting a new candlethat represents spring, or even
just rearranging what youalready have after you do your
clean out, if there's nothing tochange out seasonally. Here for
you, it can just be likerearranging some things that you
already have. Maybe you'rerearranging a couple of your

(15:46):
shelves. Maybe you're bringingin some cuttings or spring
flowers. That's my next point, actually, so refreshing your
space, physically. Whatever thatmeans for you. Sometimes I have
I like, throw blankets because Iget a little bit chilly, so
sometimes I'll even change outthe throw blankets, and I'll
have one for this season and onefor that season. It doesn't have
to be big, dramatic changes. Itcan just be little changes, sort

(16:08):
of like we might decorate forone holiday. Well, this is just
refreshing your physical space, maybe changing some curtains or
pillows, maybe just moving somethings around in a way that
feels really fresh to you.
Consider adding new life. Bringin a house plant, even a small

(16:29):
succulent, like those tiny, little, cute plants and the tiny
little pots if you've ever seenthem, if you're not someone who
is a green thumb, for example,and you're like Joy, I don't
want any live plants at myhouse. I'm going to kill it. You
could also bring in, like, cuttings from a pretty tree. Or
my last place, we had thisamazing, really full Rosemary

(16:49):
bush. I don't know if you knowRosemary's grow in bushes or
hedges. They can even be shaped.
So maybe you have something likethat where you are, and you
could just go do a couple littlecuttings or trimmings off a
pretty tree or bush, or maybeyou have rosemary, for example,
maybe there are flowers bloomingthat you could cut that are wild
flowers, just ways of bringingin new new life, new fresh life
into that space. And plants area great way to do it. I also

(17:14):
want to remind you to infuse thespace with positive energy. So
we had talked about doing thespiritual wash, right? This is
another way to infuse your spacewith positive energy. And this
can be done like I said. Doesn'tjust have to be at home. It
could be maybe you only have oneroom, maybe you don't have the
whole house, maybe you have yourcar, maybe you have an office,

(17:35):
maybe you have a locker, right?
And that's the space that youcan control so infused with
positive energy. You can dothis, of course, through like
smoke, if you like sage. But youcan also do this by playing
music, raising the energeticvibration through high
vibrational music. It can bemusic that's just really upbeat.

(17:58):
It can be spiritual music. Itcould be anything in between.
You can sing, you can dance, youcan laugh, you can meditate and
send your intentions out intothe space and imagine kind of
pressing them or marinatingthem, or envision that energy
just spreading into the walls toreally surround yourself. And

(18:19):
you can set intentions forthings like peace, happiness,
calm, joyous experiences, whatever it is, but infuse
positive energy into this spacetoo, because we took stuff out,
right? We decluttered and wecleaned, and maybe you did the
spiritual wash, or maybe youdidn't, but we want to re infuse

(18:40):
so we took out to make space, and now we have to reinfuse in
so refreshing the space, addingnew life with a plant or
greenery or flowers, infusingpositive energy into the space.
And there's lots of ways you cando it. I think a lot of people
forget that sound is positivevibration, like literally. So if

(19:02):
you like the tuning forks or thesound bowls, you can do them,
but you also can just use aregular music. It doesn't have
to be fancy. This is accessibleto everybody with no more tools
than you have at your disposalright now, where you are,
another little special tip thatI want to give you is creating a
blessings boil. Now, what isthis? You can also use a

(19:25):
diffuser with essential oil, ifthat's something you like. I
will just put a little caveat inhere. The purity of the oil
matters. So if you're going touse a diffuser, which is there's
two kinds, there's diffusersthat use water and there's
diffusers that don't use water.
If you're using a waterdiffuser, which is the most
common, the most affordable, andwhat most people have, it's the
kind where you fill some sort ofa little vessel with water, put

(19:48):
a couple drops of essential oil,and it creates a water steam. So
the purity of the oils matters.
You want therapeutic grade. Youwant 100% pure. And. Ideally, to
know if it's pure you want theLatin name of the plant
somewhere on that bottle. It'scalled the Latin binomial. It's
the plant name, right? So it'sthe fancy plant name. I don't

(20:11):
have any essential oils withinmy reach, or I would show you on
the video version. But you wantthe highest grade essential
oils. You don't want fragranceoils, especially if you're
someone who's sensitive, Iactually, if I am gonna do a
diffuser, it has to be like in atotally different space. For me,
I'm really sensitive toinhalants. So if you are someone

(20:33):
who is also really sensitive, you don't have to do a diffuser.
If you don't have a diffuser,I'm gonna teach you about this
blessings boil right now. Thisis one of my favorite tricks.
Many years ago, I did a videoand and taught it, and everyone
seemed to like it, and I do itall the time. It's one of it's
one of my house clearing thingsthat I always is a strong word,
but I'm usually doing as part ofa house clearing. And like I

(20:55):
said, I learned this a long timeago, so I tend to like, This is
mine, and there's lots ofvariations we can talk about.
You get you a pot of some kind.
For me, because the things I'musing are food ingredients or
food grade ingredients. I feellike it's okay to just use a
regular pot. I don't have, like, some people have a special pot

(21:16):
for this, and it's like theirspiritual workings pot. But for
blessing boils, I'm kind of abit of a Kitchen Witch, and so I
just use the stuff I alreadyhave. So you can use a pot that
you already have. It doesn'thave to be giant, whatever you
got. Um, you want it to be bigenough that you can let it
simmer for a while. So if youhave a kind of a bigger sauce

(21:38):
pot, or, like a smallerspaghetti type pot. Those are
great play with it, and youdon't want to leave it super
unsupervised, so you're going tobe there to watch it anyway. So
I tend to like to add besideswater, you want to put a
generous amount of water. Andthen I like to add citrus peels,
something kind of cool that noteverybody knows. So we're

(21:59):
talking about essential oils.
Most essential oils that aretherapeutic grade have to go
through a distillation process.
Think about when you getrosemary oil. For example. We
all know that Rosemary plant iscamphorous. It has a really
strong smell. You get sticky.
But there's a process to diffusethat oil out of the plant and

(22:20):
make it into a concentrate thatwe get in the little bottle.
Well, something really specialabout citrus is that it's cold
pressed, meaning it doesn't haveto go through that whole
distillation process withbeakers and test tubes and the
whole thing. But citrus oillives in the peel of the citrus
fruit. So if you've ever peeledan orange or lemon or
grapefruit, and you feel yourhands a little sticky, and you

(22:43):
get that scent. The essentialoil is in the peel. So you can
just take the peels, like ifyou're going to have an orange
or a lemon, save the peel, andyou can toss the citrus peels
into this blessings blend. Ilike to use citrus. It's an
angelic vibrational scentenergy. So it calls an energy of

(23:05):
the angels. It calls in it's ahigh vibration. Think of like
that bright scent that citrushas. So I will use often citrus
peels. I tend to like oranges orlemons, just because those are
the ones I usually happen tohave around. But any citrus peel
will do. Those are a little morearomatic too. I like cinnamon
sticks or cloves. I also likerosemary, which, like I said,

(23:30):
depending on where you live,it's often pretty easy to find
growing outside in places. Butyou could also use dried
rosemary if you want, if that'swhat you have access to you
could also because Rosemary istwo things. Well, let me tell
you what each thing does. Socitrus is a bright scent. It
refreshes the energy. Itbrightens the space

(23:51):
energetically. And with thescent cinnamon or cloves, which
are two things I use, sometimesI'll use both. Sometimes I'll
use one or the other, dependingwhat I have, cinnamon or cloves,
think of like, how it has thatlittle bit of, like a spice or
heat to it, like cinnamon. It'snot that it's spicy, but it's, I
think you know what. I mean. Itcan be an aggravating to people.

(24:12):
So we're going to talk aboutthat in just a minute. But
cinnamon heats up yourintention. Cinnamon and cloves
that like, supercharges yourintention, because it really,
yeah, like, heats it up. Itwarms it up. And cinnamon is
kind of like that warmingfeeling rosemary, which is
camphorous, that's that smellthat you get from it. It is one
a natural, like antiseptic, soit is clearing in a, in a, in a

(24:36):
more like natural medicinal way, clearing the energy and
eucalyptus does this as well. Soif you ever have, like someone
that has a cold or has when yourhouse, like a cold or a flu goes
through your house, it's reallynice to boil rosemary or or
eucalyptus afterwards, becauseit is just helps as a germicide

(24:57):
and helps with Yeah, we're. Withairborne germs. So rosemary,
that's what it does, and it alsoin the energy of the plant. It's
also protection. It's alsoinfusing grounding. You can also
use lavender, if you like. Youcould buy some sprigs. You could
use dried lavender. Lavender iscalm, it's peace, it's

(25:21):
restfulness, it's restoration.
You can use sea salt, which isgreat for grounding, clearing,
and you can use things that, like complement the scent of one
another. I probably wouldn't usethose things altogether.
Typically, what I'm using issome sort of citrus peel, some
sort of cinnamon sticks and orcloves, often Rosemary sea salt,
and then I'm often putting inthere. What's the other thing I

(25:43):
like? Oh, I like a couple of bayleaves. Those are also for
protection magic wonder. So ifyou like bay leaves, it doesn't
add too much to the scent. Soyou want to use scents that
complement each other, though.
So for me, I could use lavenderand rosemary together, but I
probably wouldn't use likelavender and cinnamon, although

(26:05):
you could try it. And theintention with this is one. You
want to be intentional as youprepare the ingredients. So as
you pour the water in, you wantto be thankful for the water.
You want to be speaking yourintentions into that water. You
want to be infusing your wordsor energetic intentions, as you
like peel the orange as youprepare the peels, as you

(26:27):
sprinkle the salt in. You wantto give your intention. So you
want to be very intentional asyou prepare the ingredients.
Think about your intentions.
It's nice to have music playing.
If you like music, you want toset it as like a happy, peaceful
ritual. If you like that word, Ilove that word, but little
experience for yourself, becausewe're wanting to infuse the

(26:47):
space so your attitude, yourmood, your emotion, matters. If
you're in a crappy mood, go takea walk. Get you a boba tea or a
coffee. Cheer yourself up alittle, and then do this. Don't
do this if you're in a foul moodbecause your your intentions,
your energy, your emotions, iswhat is helping to charge this
water and this blessings boil.
So your attitude matters. Sothink about your intentions.

(27:11):
Play music if you like music, upbeat is great, and put your
intentions for the home itselfand any blessings you're hoping
to create into the water withthe ingredients, and then you I
let it rise to a boil, and thenI turn it down to simmer. Don't
leave it unattended. Hashtag, fire safety. Fire Safety. Fire
Safety. Be intelligent. GrownUps about this. We're not just

(27:36):
letting things boil over. So theintention is, you know, when you
keep something at at a rollingsimmer, the steam goes up, and
so this water is boiling withall of these little ingredients
in it, with your intentions, forthe home, for the season, for
yourself, whatever it is. And asthe steam rises, it's infusing
your space with this beautifulsmell that's totally natural.

(27:58):
These are kind of somehomeopathic tricks, and it's
also infusing the home with yourintentions. But we want to be
fire safe. We want to becareful. We want to, you know,
we don't want little kidsreaching up and pulling the pot
down. So please be smart andcareful. I have a little pro tip
here too, if you have lots ofloose herbs that you want to

(28:19):
use, like, say, you livesomewhere where Rosemary is not
growing, and you're like, Well,I have dried rosemary in my
cupboard. Can I use that? Yes,if you want, you can use a piece
of cheese cloth if you have thathandy, or a tea strainer ball,
like those little reusable ballsor containers that you put loose
leaf tea in to steep your tea.

(28:41):
Those are perfect for puttingdried herbs in for these
blessing boils, and then it'seasier to clean the pot
afterwards. I've done it withlike loose rose, dried lavender
that I made, and dried rosemary.
I'll sometimes dry my own. Andthat's another little special
tip for this, if it isspringtime where you live, if
you have an abundance of thesethings, you can pick them and

(29:04):
dry them for later. But what Idid was pour all of this dried
lavender into this pot. And ifyou've ever done it before, you
will know that stuff is littleand it sticks to the sides and
it gets everywhere. So usingeither a tea ball strainer or a
little piece of cheesecloth, andkind of tying it up like a tea
bag is magic for this. And thenit makes your pots really easy

(29:25):
to clean afterwards. And again,if you're using a food pot, just
make sure you clean it all ofthese things, you know, they
make lavender ice cream now, andlavender tea. So just just know
your own allergies and know yourown and wash stuff, obviously,
but that is a little pro tipthat you can use a tea ball or a
cheesecloth. Okay, now, now thatwe have, like, solidified our

(29:48):
home, we've really cleared itout. We've moved the stagnant
energy. We've refreshed thespace. We've brought in some new
life. We've done either ourspiritual wash. Our blessings
boil. Or you can even, like Isaid, you can even do it with a
diffuser with oil. Same thing, put your intentions all the same
steps. You're just putting dropsof oil, instead of mixing your

(30:08):
own concoction to fill the spacewith energy. Hopefully you've
done some sort of chimes orsound or singing or dancing or
infusing happiness. It can evenbe done with, like, if you're
someone who likes color, you canhave those lights that shine
color up the wall, and you cando it that way. So you can do it
with your own energy. If youhave rake Reiki, or theta or

(30:29):
Feldenkrais or any healingmodality, you can infuse healing
into the walls, the floors, theceilings, create your container.
So now that you've done that tothe physical space. We want to
move on to you, right? So acouple things to refresh, reset
and really just bring new energyto your home and to your life. I

(30:52):
want to Okay, brace yourself.
Not everyone's going to likethis one, put new physical
activity plans in place foryourself or fine tune your
existing ones. A lot of peoplethink that the New Year is time
to, you know, get moving orstart our workout plan or our
health and wellness goals, right? The truth is, this time

(31:16):
of year, kind of March, April isthe astrological new year, which
I kind of love. So it's likeanother another new year, a
fresh start. So if you think ofspringtime as New Year, for me
personally, springtime is thetime of year that I feel
motivated. I want to get moving.
I actually often naturally wantto start doing a lot of these

(31:37):
tasks and things around thechange of every season just on
my own. And then I'll realize, like, oh, Spring Equinox is here
to wonder, I'm wanting to do allthis. So is that how it works
for you at springtime? Is thatthe time you kind of want to get
moving anyway? I know peoplelike I said, think of it as New
Year's January 1. But for me,springtime is a great time to

(31:58):
start all of this. I feel mostof us have the option to get
outside a little bit more oncethe weather is nicer. So
whenever that is for you, wherever you live, I would start
by asking yourself, what type ofmovement does your body need?
Now start where you are. For me,one of the things, if I'm being

(32:20):
honest, that I'm going to focuson, is doing a little bit more
strength training. I've beenreally working again on my
flexibility. My body requiresstretching. It's what I need in
this body. But maybe that's nottrue for you. I also need gentle
movement, and now one of thethings that I know I need to
start incorporating is a littlebit of weight resistance.

(32:42):
Nobody's getting younger. I wantto be intentional about my bone
density. How about you so askingyourself, what type of movement
does your body need now, forwhatever age and stage and
physical ability or limitationsyou have start where you are.
Maybe it's, I keep seeing theseads on I think it's YouTube for

(33:02):
these, like chair exerciseclasses that someone's leading.
So you really can start whereveryou are with this, but asking
yourself, what type of movementfeels good for you? What types
of activities might you enjoy ormight work for you. My son just
sent me a video of like on oneof the social medias of a really

(33:25):
old Tai Bo. If anyone remembersthose workouts, I used to love
that workout, and I've actuallyoften thought of looking for
them again. So what types ofactivities do you enjoy? But I
really always hated running, forexample. So don't put yourself
through a torturous exercisethat you don't like, that
doesn't make you feel better, that feels like torture the

(33:46):
whole time. Maybe it's orangetheory for you and you like a
really high intensity workout.
Maybe it's walking in a parknearby or walking near water.
Maybe it's walking on atreadmill. Maybe it is just
doing some jumping jacks in yourown living room. It can be
anything right where you are.
How Or where can you buildmovement into your schedule in a

(34:07):
way that you won't cancel itunless it's really, really
necessary. This is higherpriority than, like, just,
quote, unquote, running errands.
And I know a lot of us are busy.
I think everyone's busy now,it's just the nature of our
world. We're all expected to doa lot more things than maybe we
used to be in past generations.

(34:29):
So I know we're all busy, and itcan be difficult or can feel
challenging to prioritizeourselves and our physical
activity plan, for example. Sohow can you build it in I used
to have a friend that was ableto go 30 minutes early to pick
up her kids. She would get goodparking, and then there was like
a park space right next to theschool, and she'd walk at the

(34:52):
park for 30 minutes and do somelike, push ups and things before
her kids got out of school. Soare there ways that you can
build it into things thatyou're. Already doing. I used to
a lot of you know, I used to bea massage therapist, and a lot
of my clients were professionalathletes, professional golfers,
that kind of thing. There wassomeone that I designed a
program for where, when they'rebrushing their teeth in the

(35:14):
morning, they were doing calfstretches at the same time.
Because you're just standingthere, you could be stretching
something, right? So how can youbuild movement into your
schedule? We don't want it to besomething that feels
unnecessarily hard. We don'twant it to be in a way that
you're gonna always cancel it orsay, okay, that's I can just
move that right off my schedule, and I can go to this lunch, or I

(35:36):
can take this meeting, setyourself up for success, right
by picking it, just gettingreally honest with yourself,
like, what, what do I even feellike doing? Like, what could I
handle? What could I do? Whatfeels fun to me? What type of
movement does my body even need?
And where can I build that intomy schedule? It doesn't have to
be. I mean, I do have friendsthat go to, talking to a friend

(35:57):
yesterday that goes to, like, acrazy early in the morning
Pilates class that would not befor me. I just know myself, my
body, my system, and I wouldprobably one of two things would
happen. I would never get there,or I'd be really miserable. So
you know, it has to be built inin a way that actually works for
you. So being honest withyourself is a really important

(36:20):
part of this, and set yourselfup for success. Make a plan, get
your stuff ready the nightbefore, if it means setting out
your little workout outfit inthe bathroom so that you're not,
for example, going through thedrawers and closets, waking up
your partner in the morning whenyou're doing this. So how else
can you set yourself up forsuccess? I used to have, I like
these refillable water bottles.

(36:43):
I used to do an extra one formyself in the fridge in the
morning so I could just have itthere and go. How can you
decrease your barrier to entryon a day to day basis? If you're
someone that finds it reallychallenging to get this physical
activity in, because it'sspringtime, we get to move our
bodies. We get to breathe infresh air. We get to have

(37:03):
exercise. So you can either putit, a new physical activity plan
into place, or fine tune yourexisting one. Maybe you made a
plan at the New Year and youwant to reinvigorate that plan.
Whatever works for you.
A next one to really focus onfor this season is make
significant relationships apriority. I really focused on

(37:25):
this for the whole of last year.
If you're one of my students, oryou worked with me privately,
you might already know this, butfor me, one of my goals last
year was to really makesignificant relationships a
priority. And for me, what thatlooked like was intentionally
getting things on the calendarwith people that I wanted to
spend time with and build acloser connection, right? And I

(37:46):
hear all the time howchallenging it is to make
friends as an adult. Some of itis, yes, it can be challenging
to find those people that reallyresonate with you, but when you
do find someone that you havecommon ground with, or you
think, Oh, we can have fun, or Ido kind of like this person, or
I resonate with their energy, their their the tempo of them,

(38:08):
right? Like I know certainpeople are for me and certain
people are not. So if you findsomeone that you're like, Oh, I
think that person's for me, areyou intentionally making a
relationship with them apriority. Shout out to my
bestie. She did this last yearalso, and there was this one
person that she really wanted toget to know and spend time with.
And it took her probably thewhole year of her reaching out,

(38:31):
making plans with this gal. Andthen I remember her saying to me
several times, like, I needplans with her all the time, but
she never invites me or makesplans with me, like, I hope
she's gonna open her heart andlike, we can really be friends.
And just last week, she wastelling me, oh, it's so cool.
She had a little thing at herhouse and invited me, and it was
really lovely, because now Ifeel like she's really, like,

(38:52):
getting it that, like we'regonna be real friends, not like
surface level mom friends typeof a thing. So are you
intentionally creating time andspace to hang out with people in
our busy lives? You couldconsider having a gathering with
friends. Even one friend willdo. It doesn't have to be like
seven friends. It could be likeone friend to set spring
intentions, like maybe youinvite someone to tea or a

(39:16):
cocktail or just togetherness, and you guys sit down and write
your intentions for spring. Oryou don't have to write
intentions. If that doesn'tsound fun to you, when the
weather is nice, you could do apicnic in the park, and everyone
can bring their own snacks andshare one thing they've learned
since December, or one intentionfor spring, for example. So can
you create moments forconnection. If you guys are on

(39:41):
my social you will see me go toDisneyland with a friend. You'll
see me go to comedy shows.
You'll see me Well, I don't postpictures of all the things I do,
quite honestly, but there'stimes where I'm meeting at a
park with a friend, and we'rejust gonna go walk at the park,
and we might have a coffee or wemight just have water, right?
So. So how can you be moreintentionally making significant

(40:04):
relationships a priority? Maybefor you and your friends, that
needs to center around anactivity? I know people that do
those, like trivia nights, forexample. Maybe you've got
little, little kids and it's toooverwhelming to try to get a
night out. So maybe you have, like, late morning orange juice
once a month with your friendson your front porch, right

(40:25):
because you you need to be home.
So start where you are, but justmaking it intentional in this
time period that we're in whereso much is web based, and so
many people are going to AI forall their answers and doom
scrolling on social media, comparing their lives to
everyone else's. Are youintentionally making those

(40:46):
connections, thoserelationships, a priority, so
that you're experiencing lifeand relationships and not just
watching them from the outside, consumed by this world of
technology? That's what I wantfor us. And one last little
suggestion here, I'm calling itthe extra mile. Can you think
about setting one new intentionfor the season, or

(41:13):
reinvigorating an old one? Somaybe you did, I don't love the
word resolution, but maybe youdid a New Year's intention,
like, or something you wanted tofocus on for this year. Like, I
told you last year, I focused onintentionally cultivating
relationships. What are youfocusing on this year? Maybe
there was something you thoughtabout at the end of the year,
beginning of January, and nowyou're like, Oh yeah, by this

(41:36):
time of year, we've usuallyforgotten or gotten off track.
Oh yeah. I was going to makethat my intention, so you can
reinvigorate one you alreadychose, or a word you already
chose, or you could set atotally new one, just for this
season, and at the end of threemonths, see how you're doing
with that intention, becauselife can pass us by so quickly.
And yes, it's wonderful torefresh our energy, refresh our

(41:58):
space and reinvigorate ourphysical space. It's so
important. And I do think thatthere's a lot of value just on
our mood alone for doing thespace clearing and reinfusing
intentions, right? Whetheryou're doing saltwash or
blessings boil or infusing withmusic or whatever it is, there's

(42:20):
so much value in that, but whatare we doing in our lives also?
So can you set one intention foryourself? Maybe it's that. A
mini intention I've had is thatI'm going to stretch for 15 to
30 minutes every morning. Iobviously sit a lot more now
than I used to, and so my bodyreally needs that. So it's kind

(42:42):
of a two for its physicalactivity, a little bit and an
intention. So what intentions Doyou have? Because we are
responsible for cultivating thegarden of our life. No one else
is going to do it for us. Andwhat I've learned in the last, I
don't know, lots of years isthat life is busy and there's
never time. There's never enoughtime to do all the things we

(43:05):
want to get to, all the thingswe want to organize, all the
things we want. And so if wedon't start prioritizing our
happiness, our connection, whatfeels delicious for us, things
that we want to experience, evenif it's you want to start making
candles in your kitchen. Like,do you know what I mean? Not to
sell, but just for you, for yourown crafty enjoyment. What are

(43:26):
you cultivating for you in thissegment of your life? It's gonna
fly by. It's gonna pass by.
We're gonna be talking in a fewmonths, and we're gonna be
saying, Oh my gosh. Can youbelieve summer's over and we're
entering fall in the nextseason, and this year is almost
over, and if you don'tintentionally choose to focus on

(43:51):
things for yourself, even ifit's moments of laughter,
moments of joy, moments of ease, maybe you set an intention that
every day or five days a week, you're going to have a five
minute kitchen dance party withyour family in the kitchen, or
just with yourself, to be quitehonest, is fine. So are there
little micro or even macrointentions that you can set for

(44:14):
yourself so that this life isnot passing you by? This is the
one wild and glorious andsometimes crazy feeling life
that we get in this incarnationand this body in this time
period. How are you going to useit? Because there's so much
that's required of us. There'sso much to do, and most of us

(44:34):
are doing 1000 things on anygiven day and then still feeling
maybe not quite productiveenough for that week as a whole.
And time just keeps going andgoing and going, and those
calendar pages keep flipping andflipping. And we can get years
down the line and then realize,I mean, I this is true for me
and most women, honestly, that Iknow some men, I'm sure as my

(44:59):
kids grow. And started to moveout of the house, I realized,
like, oh my gosh, I don't evenknow what my hobbies are. I
don't even know what myinterests are. I don't even know
what I like to do. So I had toreally start recultivating
What's even fun for me. What doI enjoy? What do I not enjoy? At
this age and stage, there mightbe things we used to enjoy that

(45:19):
this version of us is like, yeah, you know what, I'm over
it, or things that we didn'tused to enjoy, that this version
of us is like, Oh, I really wantto go try that. I really want to
try snails. I really wantwhatever it is for you, keep a
little list or setan intention. Maybe your
intention is, I'm going to tryone adventurous food every
month, whatever that means foryou. But finding this spice of

(45:39):
life this it's kind of remindsme of like bubbles of joy inside
of us, and they don't just come.
We have to cultivate them. Wehave to be intentional about
them, just like we have to beintentional about clearing and
resetting the energy of ourphysical space, we have to be

(46:01):
intentional about setting ourgoals, intentions, desires,
infusing joy, infusing play, infusing amusement, whatever it
is, into our lives and into ourspaces, so that we can access
it, creativity. So I would loveit if you would share one thing
with me, with me that you'regoing to want to cultivate over

(46:23):
this next season. You cancomment it wherever you are.
Watching this. I would love itif you would share that with me.
So what's one thing if we're allgoing to agree to go the extra
mile, right? We're going to doour decluttering and space
clearing. We're going to resetthe energy for spring or for the
next season, we're going to doall of that. But what's one

(46:44):
intention that you can set foryourself for this season?
Personal? You don't have toshare it with anyone. You don't
even have to share it with me,even though I would love it if
you did. What's one intentionjust for you, something that
you're going to cultivate orinfuse or make an intentional
part of your life in thisseason. I hope this has been
helpful. I hope you got someideas and some inspiration. I

(47:05):
hope that your energy isstirring for this next season.
And I would love to hear aboutwhich of these you chose to use,
or maybe even all of them, thesenine steps to reset the energy
of your home and your life forspring or any season, as always,
I am so grateful for you beinghere with me. I am gonna get to

(47:26):
doing my spring reset. I hopethat you will do yours. Let me
know. And if this podcast meanssomething to you, it would mean
so much to me if you would giveit a like, give it a subscribe,
whether you're on YouTube, watching the video version, or
you're on any of the podcastplatforms, Apple or Spotify or
iHeartRadio or Google orwherever it is, if you would

(47:46):
subscribe to the pod, that helpsyou never miss an episode, and
it helps me, because most of thepeople who are listening have
not yet subscribed. Big hugs.
Lots of love. Bye for now. Frominside spirit speakeasy you.
