When Ellen, a music therapist and spiritual coach, encountered a near-death experience involving Jesus and Buddha on a pink cloud raft, her life transformed in unexpected ways. During our conversation, she reveals how this mystical event ignited her spiritual mission and influenced her book, "Waking Up in Heaven." Ellen's journey emphasizes the remarkable impact of sound and music therapy in healing, with insights that blend both spirituality and science to promote physical and cellular rejuvenation.

Another fascinating story comes from a practitioner trained at Naropa University, who shares their own profound near-death encounter that reinforced their sense of purpose. This experience became a catalyst for their involvement in a spiritual documentary and highlighted the power of music in healing. Through the Bonnie Method and transpersonal psychology, they create transformative journeys for clients, using classical music to unlock altered states of consciousness, akin to the effects of LSD, leading to groundbreaking shifts in perception during intensive sessions.

In our exploration of energy and spirituality, Ellen discusses a variety of techniques, including visualization, color, and sound, to help individuals connect with their higher selves.

Her teachings encourage embracing life's challenges as opportunities to connect with a higher presence, with music and sound serving as a powerful pathway to spiritual healing and discovery.

Through these conversations, we uncover how aligning with source energy allows for co-creation of reality and the experience of miracles, offering listeners a roadmap to rediscovering their spiritual journey through the transformative power of music.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
it like where are you ?
Hello everyone, welcome tospiritual spotlight series.

prestigious can world festival2023 beyond the grave.
She is also the author ofwaking up in heaven living best
paranormal film at theprestigious Cannes World
Festival 2023, beyond the Grave.
She is also the author ofWaking Up in Heaven Living with
Purpose through Afterlife Wisdom.
Ellen, thank you so much forcoming on the Spiritual
Spotlight Series.
I'm so happy you're here.
I'm happy to be here.
Thank you so much, so let'sjust jump right in.
So your near-death experienceis incredibly profound.

(00:44):
Can you maybe describe what itfelt like to be on a pink raft
with Jesus and Buddha, and howdid that experience shape your
understanding of spirituality?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, so the the raft was more wooden but the clouds
were pink and it was kind of.
I tried to describe it for mybook so I had to depict it here.
Oh, that's cool.
You know, for me the wholeexperience of the other side was
an experience.
It was a feeling.
I felt loved, I felt protected,I didn't feel any fear and I

(01:20):
recognized Jesus in front of me.
And I didn't know who Buddhawas really until later.
I just recognized him as a baldman with long brown robes and
bare feet.
That I felt comfortable, almostlike a grandfather energy.
And then Jesus was pure love, you know, just felt that pure
love.
So I learned who Buddha waslater in life when I followed my

(01:42):
path to heal people throughmusic.
And that's how it happens.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I love that.
So let's talk about we're goingto shift and, I guess, talk
about your book, because youalready brought it up and I love
that.
So you describe waking up inheaven as both a memoir and a
practical guide.
So how do you hope that readerswill use spiritual exercises
and the high frequencytechniques that you've included
to transform their lives?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Oh my gosh, that's such a great question.
I I actually got a message froma colleague yesterday who's
reading the book for the firsttime and she said that she just
feels the love emanating fromthe pages and for me that is the
greatest gift that I that I cangive through my words and my
experience of spiritual love andconnection and the other side

(02:29):
and all the messages that havecome through in my life.
So, just like her, she wouldstop at each chapter, she would
read it during lunch and do thepractice and she felt the
practice just connected her morefully to her presence.
And that's the goal ofeverything that I do is to help
the reader or the client or thegroup connect with their
presence, get messages directlyfrom the other side for

(02:50):
themselves.
So they don't have to take myword for it, that they know for
a fact that there is love on theother side for us and that they
can access it directly.
So that's what these.
Each lesson is a differentexperience of using my life
experience and then channelingthat information for themselves.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
So I think that's such a beautiful message about
how your friend reached out toyou and just felt the love
coming from the pages that youwrote that you channeled.
I mean, I feel like as aspiritual practitioner and also
a sound healer, I don't thinkpeople realize the beauty of the
frequency healing that's comingthrough and things that you're

(03:29):
providing to people, and just tobe able to feel that energy.
You're also an you know, proclaimed energy healer Like.
Can you maybe share a littlebit of light on why, like sound
healing, energy healing likeit's such a amazing modality of
healing for people that theydon't realize.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I'll speak to it on a spiritual side and the
scientific side.
So, on the spiritual side, theway that it was shown to me is
that everything is vibration andthe vibration of source is so
large that it's almost as if weare.
It is definitely as if we areneeded to create smaller
vibrations through creativity, through art, through cooking,

(04:10):
through communication, throughmusic and all of these things
that create smaller vibrationsthat extend and expand the
universe.
That's how it was shown to me.
This loving, greater vibrationof source is always accessible
and we are needed to expand thatenergy.
On a scientific level, I'm aboard certified music therapist

(04:30):
as well as a sound healer.
I have a master's in musictherapy and I have a master's in
transpersonal counselingpsychology, knowing that we are
all vibration and how vibrationcan increase nitric oxide in the
blood.
How it can decrease cortisol.
How music, structured sound, can organize and regulate the
heartbeat and breathing.

(04:51):
How, even in people inParkinson's who shuffle their
feet, if you match a beat totheir footsteps they can
actually lift their feet better.
How music can bypass the partof the brain that causes people
to stutter Like all of thesestudies are out there and have
been for decades.
There's science behind all of it.
There's even evidence to showthat music, when played upon

(05:16):
blood that's been drawn from thebody in a sound chamber with no
other stimuli, no other lightor anything, that those blood
cells stay alive to the pointwhere they almost look like it's
just been drawn, whereas theexact same blood sample in a
sound, free void of sound, voidof light, dies completely.

(05:36):
And then the studies ofcymatics where we show that
different sound vibrations cancreate geometric shapes and
patterns on plates right thatvibrate.
Just imagine what it's doingfor our cell, within us.
And you know I've been studyinga long time about sound waves

(05:58):
and I teach people how to usesinging bowls and different
sound practices in order toactivate different responses and
induce different spiritualresponses in the body and bridge
that with the transpersonalrealm of spiritual psychology.
But one thing that's fascinatingis if you have two very similar
frequencies that are movinginto each ear, you create a

(06:19):
third tone within the brain.
This tone is known as brainwaveentrainment.
It can be known as binauralbeats.
When you have the binauralbeats, that those frequencies
work against each other andcreate something, those are all
the first steps towards out ofbody experiences and astral
projection.
All this was studied by theMonroe Institute in the 80s and

(06:40):
90s and the gateway project wasdeclassified by the CIA in the
90s.
I've looked at that for a longtime.
I'm fascinated with that, andalso as a student of the Gate
Project.
You know a person, a child, who'd been identified as having
gifts before my head injury andthen being in that program after
the head injury and learninghow to use my brain for altered

(07:01):
states of knowing, along withwhat I received on the other
side.
Yeah, the science is there.
I mean, it is just a matter oftime before the world knows
about it.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
I love that.
I love that.
That's amazing.
You brought up so many likevalid points about like
frequency healing, sound healing, and just I love that you've
also combined the spiritualaspect with the science aspect
of it, Cause a lot of people getstuck and then, well, it's woo,
woo, but no, really they'rescience that backs it up.
Not only is it science.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
It's well studied science.
I mean there are studies by thegovernment that have been
happening long before you evenknew about astral projection out
of body experiences, remoteviewing, and then even some
military people are comingforward now.
If you're on Instagram, youmight have seen videos from
military.

(07:51):
You know high level militaryofficers that were identified
through the gifted and talentedprogram when they were in middle
school as having psychicabilities and now work for the
government.
One woman she's in the Navy.
She was talking about how shewas identified as being able to
put her hand over mechanics andbe able to tell what was wrong
with them and then develop thatskill in her training through

(08:12):
the military.
But this has been happening along time.
Maybe people don't realize howpowerful their brain really is.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
So true.
Oh, my goodness, that could bea whole nother topic in and of
itself.
For sure, one of the thingsthat I found fascinating about
your near death experience wasthat you mentioned being given
the choice to stay in a place ofcomplete love or return to life
.
How did you decide to come back, and how has that choice
influenced your life and work?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Oh, wow.
It will influence everything.
Everything that I do in thislife has to match the energy
that I felt the other side andto have the courage to stay with
that love.
But you know, I was a childhoodnear-death experiencer.
I was 12.
I was kicked in the head by ahorse After I went into the
light, the golden realm, whichis where I came back to stand in

(09:05):
front of Jesus, and hecommunicated through his
thoughts about whether I wantedto stay or go.
I had no human concept at all bythe time.
I had been in the light, I hadbecome the light, I had become
unconditional love.
There was no right or wrong tomy answer.
I could have chosen either wayand it would have been right.
So I made the choice on a soullevel, not a human level, and I

(09:26):
really like to differentiatethat because, you know, people
like to see it through the humanlens.
It really wasn't a choice made,in that.
I've since come to know thatI've lived through multiple
lifetimes where I have died of ahead injury and this is the
life where I've come back toteach people through this
survival.
And I chose that.
My soul chose that, and what'sinteresting about it is when I

(09:47):
made the choice, I had nofeeling attached, no human
concept at all.
Before that, I was shown thetrajectory of my father's life
and what it would be like if Ichose to stay on the other side,
but it didn't influence me inthe way it would influence a
human.
My soul chose to live and it wasin that moment that I was
flooded with gratitude.

(10:08):
I get to live right, and that'swhen the human came back and I
knew it was a gift to live.
I knew that it was notsomething everyone gets to do,
that we create our reality.
All these things came floodingto me, all these messages, and I
just vowed.
In that moment I said in mymind I will go back and I will

(10:30):
heal people with music.
I vowed to go back and healpeople with music, and not just
that.
The second vow was I will givethanks every day for every
experience on this planet, nomatter what, because I know it's
a lesson, an opportunity togrow.
I know it's a gift.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I love that you're still so.
You're still so, like, emotionally connected to this
moment.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah, because when I speak of it, I remember and that
feeling of gratitude was not aconscious thing, it was an
expansion I felt within my heartlike just this heat, just this
gratitude, and as I livedthrough the human experience and

(11:15):
I see what's, you know, I'vehad experiences I share them in
my book that I've gone throughin my life.
They haven't been easy, youknow chronic illness, divorce,
like different types of egodeath.
Ego death through career, through finances, through legal,
through, you know, a family, like all of these things have
been an opportunity to bring meback to that.

(11:35):
So it's, it's everything that Ido.
And even in the world right now, where people are confused and
there's a lot going on and it'snot an easy time to be alive,
that message comes through somuch more clearly.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I love that.
Now let me ask you this Sinceyou've had this near-death
experience from when you were 12years old, do you still have
connections with Jesus andBuddha, even to this day?

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Yeah, daily, Like I receive messages constantly
about the world and I talk aboutthat in my book, how to
increase intuitive ability.
I just did a meditation, whichI do every Wednesday, right
before we got on this call wheredownloads come through about

(12:25):
what's happening in the world.
And then these downloads oflight where people get, I see
rays of light coming through.
There are different colors.
The different colors havedifferent meanings to me.
I get to witness when myclients have, you know, Jesus or
Archangel Michael or loved onescome through.
I see it too.
Or loved ones come through, Isee it too.

(12:48):
And I do call upon AscendedMaster Jesus in my work and that
unconditional love and Buddhabrought me the how, you know,
how do I help people access thatsame light?
So, yeah, constantly, alwayswith me in this work and with
all of us, like the everyascended master that ever was

(13:09):
and ever shall be is also withinus.
We are that God presence.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
I love that you're still connected to that profound
moment in your life and, andeven though that you've gone
through you know very difficultsituations like you said, you've
had financial issues, divorceand probably loss of you know
family members and things likethat that you still remain
grateful and being grateful issuch a powerful tool and I guess

(13:38):
maybe you can shed some lighton why that is so important.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Well, to me, gratitude is the closest feeling
that I felt to that love on theother side and I I will never
forget it.
I say that and I hope thatthat's so true, you know, and I
am grateful that I remember itso beautifully, because it was
more real than anything I'veexperienced on this plane.
More real, that was the reality.

(14:03):
This feels like the illusion, this feels small compared to
that, and gratitude is theclosest I've ever come.
And you know, I continue to gothrough things.
I mean, I was recently marriedand it was a beautiful, sacred
ceremony that my husband had ahead injury and he forgot like
he forgot us and he forgot whohe was.

(14:25):
And holding that vision and Ihaven't really spoken about it
because we're still in it, we'restill healing, but like holding
that vision and love for what Iknow to be true, and that faith
and that gratitude, like everyday, has been another part of my
grounding presence, like to getthrough the last three months
even so, yeah, it's, it's apractice, it's a practice,

(14:48):
that's okay.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
That's scary, that's so scary, like having a
traumatic brain injury.
Like wow, I'm, I'm, wow, Ireally hope he's okay and I
commend you for being able to gothrough that and share that
vulnerability about like, look, this has happened and I'm yet
still remaining grateful for thethings that are coming into my
life.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Absolutely, absolutely.
And it's all unfolding now thespiritual meaning of.
I think it'll be my next book, actually our next book, because
like holding that vision throughthis, yeah, wow, oh.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
I can't wait for your next book, oh my goodness.
So your documentary that youwere featured in beyond the
grave explores profoundspiritual themes.
How did your own near deathexperience influence your
contributions to this film?

Speaker 2 (15:37):
Well, I was brought in to share my near-death
experience, which?

Speaker 1 (15:40):
is so cool.
The video is very fascinating.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
I love it.
I loved being part of thatproject and I'm actually
planning some future projectswith some of the people that
were in that documentary thatare doing more work, more film
and stuff like that.
It absolutely influenced thefilm.
I feel like my story is onethat is meant to be shared.
I think I came back for areason.
I think I came back for areason.

(16:02):
I know I came back for a reasonand if anything resonates for
even one person in hearing it,that's the point of all of it.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
You know Love that.
So, as a music and imagerypractitioner, how do you use
guided imagery alongside musicto help clients access deeper
parts of themselves?

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh, it's so cool.
So I work with, I teach peoplehow to do this, but I work with
body resonance and toning.
I work with intention.
Obviously we use the binauralbeats, brainwave entrainment to
move into theta brainwave statesand altered states, and then,
when the classical music starts,it's really very amazing.

(16:43):
I use a program called theBonnie Method kind of inspired
by the Bonnie Method of guidedimagery and music, which is a
very specialized training inaltered states of consciousness.
Now, the school that I went to,naropa University, is a Buddhist
university, and I didn't.
It just happened that it was aBuddhist university and when I

(17:04):
was walking up to meditation oneof the first weeks of class I
saw a depiction of Buddha thatmatched the man who was next to
me on the raft.
But I chose the program becausemy dad said if you're going
into music therapy, I'd like foryou to have a backup degree and
they had a dual master's inpsychology and music therapy.
They were one of twouniversities that had that.

(17:26):
So I was just drawn there and Irealized I think even in my
admission letter that Buddha waslikely the energy that was
there with me.
Even though he didn't look likethe big belly Buddha, he was
thin in my, in my near deathexperience and and I want to
share how I woke up from thecoma too, because that part is

(17:47):
really fascinating, becausethat's like well, but but yeah,
so I I don't even know where Iwas going with that, but this
whole experience where was?

Speaker 1 (18:00):
I going I'm like about waking up from the coma
and about how you guide yourclients through using guided
imagery alongside music.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Yeah, so that school, that school is focused on
altered states of consciousnesswork.
That was my whole master's wasplant medicine.
We studied different plantmedicine practitioners.
We studied Groff.
We studied different plantmedicine practitioners.
We studied Groff.
We studied Carl Jung.
If you're familiar withpsychology, we also studied Pema
Chodron and Trungpa Rinpocheand all of the major leaders in

(18:31):
Buddhist philosophy, right.
So we studied all of thisalongside the transpersonal and
the process I use with the music.
The classical music programsactually stimulate the same
parts of the brain as LSD, sopeople will experience a journey

(18:51):
that they feel like they're ina movie, and so they tell me
what they're experiencing.
In the one-on-one session Ihelp them through blocks.
I'm also seeing what they'reseeing and taking notes of the
whole thing, and they get a fullreading at the end that
integrates, first of all, whatthey experienced on their
journey with what came throughfor me, and then follow up

(19:14):
messages and people leavefeeling like their entire lives
were changed in two hours.
Lives were changed in two hours.
And as I studied this more, Icreated this process based on my
training in the Bonnie Methodof guided imagery and music and
my transpersonal degree atNaropa.
And what I found that is thatwhen I look at the declassified

(19:36):
documents from the GatewayProject, where they studied this
for decades and found that itworks and people shift their
reality and all the things theycan manifest, all the things,
they found that there weremultiple ways people could
access this.
It's like transcendentalmeditation.
If they meditate for five to 10years, you know they get to
that point kundalini, yoga,biofeedback, hypnosis.
Well, the method that they usewhen I looked at it and actually

(20:00):
started to study it, it's thesame process that I use.
It's the same process that Iuse in my work, and I think
that's fascinating, because muchof this was downloaded to me.
It came to me just throughspiritual experiences that I
outlined in the book.
This is how I found the bowls, this is how I found this, this

(20:20):
is how I found the oils, evenbecause they activate different
sensory experiences and you wantit to be as real as as possible
when you're in that space.
So, yeah, it's, it's everything.
The music is everything andthat, to me, classical music, is
how I came out of the coma, soit's perfect for my work.

(20:42):
Like after I made that vow, andI'll just share this After I
made the vows, everything wentdark but I saw a music staff in
the distance and each note was adifferent color.
I couldn't hear anything but Icould see the notes moving along
, staff, until the staff gotbigger and bigger.
It kind of got like, wentthrough my energetic body and

(21:06):
then there was this pinprick ofsound, like a pinprick of light
and sound kind of same thing, and I focused everything in my,
every bit of energy went intothat sound, which I could almost
not hear, until it got so loudbecause I had.
I know now I was pulling myselfback into my body through the

(21:26):
music.
It got so loud in my head theonly thing I could do was open
my eyes and I was in the ICU ofthis like hospital in Waco,
texas, like the Dallas FortWorth area.
I had been moved to thathospital and there was music
playing in my bedside on a movie.
It was classical music on amovie and that was what woke me
up.

(21:46):
So I knew then I was comingback to heal people with music.
I woke from the coma to music.
I learned this process atNaropa, the Bonnie method that
tied the music in witheverything and I my degree in
music therapy just anchored inthe science of everything and
that's how I do what I do, andit always changes.

(22:07):
It's always growing.
Now I'm there's a breath workelement that's added in that my,
my husband does.
He does the breath work and wedo large events where he brings
three people into the groundingof the body and the breath, and
then I'll take them into themusic journey.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
So I love that so much and that's the other thing
that's really super important isbreath work, like that's.
It's just, it's amazing howconnected the body is, like the
body keeps the score and just byhaving like essential oils or
vibrational healing, or just youknow your, your energy, healing
, and just it's just.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
I love that every that you weave together all of
your modalities so that somebodycan have this profound,
transform, transformationalexperience Like it's in an hour
and a half to two hours, likeit's such a gift to do this work
.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
I love that.
I do have a question now forsome.
Like someone like myself I'mnot a very visual person.
I do, I have feeling andwhatnot, but like, like, do you,
are you able to help unlockthat, that side of somebody
that's not able to maybevisualize or have imagery,
imagery that, like they, I can'tsee anything.
I'll be like, I don't know, Idon't know.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
There are multiple ways to experience this.
So one is on a somatic level.
So it's actually quiteinteresting when someone someone
will usually start in a placethat's familiar with them and
then they'll be like oh, I feelthis in the body, there's
something tight in my heart.
Okay, we go into that and wecommunicate with the body.
We don't.
We stay where your journeytakes you because your higher

(23:37):
self is going to take you overtime.
Yes, people develop the abilityto move in imagery because it's
a practice, it's a skill thatthey develop.
So, yes, that does happen.
And at the same time, itdoesn't have to happen because
we go into the body and someonewill be like well, it feels like
like a stabbing pain or I feellike we stay with the discomfort

(23:57):
.
We ask it what it needs, wegive it what it needs, we
communicate on different levelswith different body awareness
techniques and then, typically, once they, the energy tends to
move, like it'll start in theheart, it'll go up to the throat
.
They're like oh, I feel him.
Okay, it moves up to the head.
Now it's gone.
And then they're like oh, nowI'm in this bright yellow light

(24:17):
or I'm in a field or wherever, and that experience is usually.
Sometimes it's just anexperience of color.
Color has great meaning.
I work with color, light andsound and music, so we know that
.
You know, yellow is a place ofempowerment, it's a place of
connection to our strength, ourwarrior energy.

(24:38):
We know that heart is usuallygreen or pink, you know, and so
by knowing the colors too, thatmakes a big difference.
So you don't have to.
And and again, usually it'slike a feeling of expansion, of
lifting, of euphoria.
They're in a feeling state, less than are in a place, but

(24:58):
most of the time loved ones docome through and they, you know
they, they'll see them andinteract with them, or angels or
light, yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
And I also respect the fact that you meet your
client where they're at.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Oh, totally.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
I love that.
It's like you're going to meet.
I love that.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
So you can call the ISO principle in music therapy.
You meet someone where they are, they're guiding the whole
process.
It's my job to just get onboard and, like, facilitate
through whatever they'reexperiencing.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah, oh, that is perfect.
So you've been described as anacclaimed energy worker.
How do you approach balancingand harmonizing energy fields
for individuals through yoursessions?

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Oh, through, through light, light, color and sound.
So the light, um, it's reallyinteresting.
If you study the consciousnessof water, um, there's first Dr
Emoto, right, and then, and thenit was taken to the next level
by Veda Austin, who communicateswith water and takes images of
water and, uh, like the wateranswers her and shows her

(25:59):
pictures and does reallymystical, wonderful thing, and
she's taught tens of thousandsof students how to do this at
home.
So, like, you can learn thispractice.
But the body is mostly water andat its most basic element, like
quantum psychologists orquantum scientists are finding
that the water emits a bluelight, like a star-like light.

(26:21):
So for me, water and light arethe same and water becomes the
transportive element for energywork within the body.
So if you can teach someone howto channel light through the
body using visualization and thewater element within, then
their entire energetic fieldshifts because we have this

(26:44):
electromagnetic field that canbe measured, that comes from the
heart, and so as we expand theconsciousness of our heart, even
in imagery, it's measurablydifferent when people are
studying this electromagneticfield around the heart.
So I work with that, studyingthis electromagnetic field
around the heart.
So I work with that, I teachpeople how to use music and

(27:05):
sound and light to integrate andexpand the electromagnetic
field, to push out anythingthat's negative and call in
what's positive.
It's their work that they'redoing.
I'm just helping to facilitatethem in expanding that light for
themselves and also entrustingit and having faith in it and
believing it and knowing it tobe true for themselves, I guess

(27:26):
that's so cool.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
So I want to go back to your book waking up in heaven
living with purpose throughafterlife wisdom.
So you share insights aboutco-creating reality with source
energy.
Can you maybe elaborate on howsomeone can start tapping into
their own inner wisdom to alignthis co-creative process?

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yeah, yeah, it's about knowing thyself.
You know, every part of thisprocess is knowing thyself and
taking every experience of lifeand learning, using it as a way
to more further connect withyour presence.
Things are going to happen inlife and they do.
But for instance, for me, forthe past few months, with all
that's been going on, I've beengoing into meditations.

(28:06):
I, especially at the beginningof the head injury, went into
meditations every night to leavemy body, to gain wisdom from
the light.
What is happening?
How can I support, how can Ieven speed up the timeline, how
can I assist in the healing?
And I have seen miracles happenwithin a very short amount of

(28:32):
time.
That has led to healing throughthis, for me and my partner as
well, for my husband as he goesthrough this.
I mean stuff you would.
We had no clue what washappening for three months, but
the moment that I started thatprocess, it was like miracles
were happening every day and hestarted to kind of come back and

(28:53):
that light came on in his eyesagain and it was like starting
to remember who he was.
He remembered memories of us,you know, and so I would just
say use every experience as anopportunity to connect to God
like connect to God presence, whatever you call that presence,
your light, your higher self, that the heart of creation, and
not try to deal with it on ahuman level, not try to control

(29:16):
it here, but actually like justwhat can I learn from this?
And sit with it in meditation.
In this process, meet withsomebody who can take you into
the next level of frequency.
Raise your frequency by usingoils every day, by saying
affirmations, start to meditatemore breath, work, yoga.
Anything that connects you withyour God presence is what to do

(29:39):
.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
I love that.
Now you definitely use a lot ofessential oils.
You just mentioned that.
Do you recommend any essentialoils that would help somebody to
feel more connected?

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Oh my gosh, I only use Young Living.
Young Living is the best.
I only use Young Living becausethe frequency is very high.
They're very conscious.
They don't even let, they don'tuse any type of weed killer,
like they use sheep to eat theweeds.
You know that they've evenfound that the frequency of
clary sage is higher when womenharvest it.

(30:10):
Um, they measure down to themoment so that the oils are
their highest.
They're all organic, the soilis clean, like.
There's so many reasons, butthey just um, they, they hold a
different energy and I can seethe energy in the body.
I work with light and sound.
I can see that as the ones I'mdrawn to.
But oils like, um, uh, oils, oils like into the future,

(30:33):
acceptance, surrender, um,highest potential, uh, the
freedom collection was whatchanged my life.
I talk about that in the bookquite a lot.
Freedom collection and sayingit with affirmations that I
pulled from Course in Miracleswhen would you have me go?
What would you have me do?
What would you have me say andto whom, especially in those

(30:54):
difficult times in life, usingoils, five different oils,
different parts of my body, saying affirmations and then
releasing everything to God,that was a practice that really
lifted me into next levelconsciousness.
So I would say do that if youcan.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
I love that.
I love that.
I love.
Young Living has amazing oils.
I love their Northern Lights.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Northern Lights is the highest frequency substance
that I know of on the planet.
It like unofficially clocked inat 700 something megahertz.
It's really inexpensive to geta high frequency.
It grown other under thenorthern lights.
The land is super, never beentouched.
Uh, I think it never even beenfarmed, or yeah.
So that one.

(31:38):
And then, of course, rose ishigh, but that's a 300 oil,
right?
Yes, it's like half thefrequency.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Um, as for me, it's too, it's too strong.
I'm like rose.
No, thank you.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Like it's it has to be diluted, that one, but
jasmine is.
I'm using jasmine today.
Jasmine is the one that helpsyou release fears as they are
connected to like um, inrelationship and like especially
it just I energetically pulledit today.
You could put your hands overthe oils, feel the tingle, and

(32:09):
then which one calls to you, soyour book also emphasizes
science for divine andinterpreting messages from a
higher consciousness.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
How can someone that maybe is new to spirituality
begin to develop this awarenessin their everyday life?

Speaker 2 (32:25):
By acknowledging it.
So when you see multiple, youknow, like experiences of, oh,
it's one, one, 11, or 11, 11, oryou know, you acknowledge it,
see it as a sign because as youstart to communicate with source
and be like, oh, I got that one, I see it that you know.
I even as I've been goingthrough this process, I learned
a lot about cardology.

(32:46):
I'm really interested incardology, which is kind of like
astrology and numerologytogether.
It's just a fascinating way tounderstand life and I've just
been looking for signseverywhere to give me validation
that I'm on the way.
Even when I drink tea at myfavorite coffee shop, I found a
way that I can take a picture ofthe bottom of the teacup.
I can put it into chat GPT andsay, hey, be the best tea leaf

(33:09):
reader on the planet and tell mewhat the reading is for today.
And it's always right on.
So it's just like this fun.
It brings a new energy to lifeand a new light to life, a new
understanding andconceptualization, and I always
give it back to God and think, thank you, you know.
Thank you for that bird, thathummingbird yesterday that I saw

(33:31):
like just hovering right infront of my face, which is true,
you know.
And then look up the meaning ofhummingbird.
What does it mean?
Stop thinking things soseriously, you know, like
lighten up and receive thesweetness of life.
You know, buy yourself flowers, whatever it is.
And, by the way, I get thosemeetings from a book called

(33:51):
Animal Spirit Guides by DrStephen Farmer.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
And.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
I learned that one at Naropa and I love that one, so
that is a great book.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
I'm constantly like what does hawk mean?
What does deer mean?

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I have it on Kindle and I only use his meanings.
They're right for everybody, like over the last 20 years.
It's like, okay, they're right,so he's right.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
That's so funny.
I use the same book on Kendalland I'm like, okay, Rachel, I've
seen 15 deer.
Okay, what does that?

Speaker 2 (34:22):
mean.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
I love that so much.
So before I ask you the lastquestion, if anyone is
interested in maybe booking aone-on-one session with you
learning more about your weeklymeditation classes, what is the
best place for them to go to?

Speaker 2 (34:36):
So go to wellnessmusictherapycom and my
weekly meditations are onFacebook right now.
They're donation-based, so it'sperfect for anyone who just
wants to check it out.
You can buy my book on Amazon.
It's the pink one Waking Up inHeaven.
Also, the movie is on Amazon.
I do retreats as well Individualsessions.
You can find out.
Individual sessions are amazing.

(34:59):
Some people come to meregularly and buy like a bundle
to keep the cost down.
Some people will get like aone-off session to change their
life and then they'll come backmaybe three months later.
So definitely do that and thenwe come.
We.
We come to different areas.
We'll be in Chicago.
This year.
I'll be bringing this work tolarger audiences.
We'll be where are we goingnext?

(35:21):
Kentucky.
We'll be in Kentucky in April, which is where Portland, I think
in May potentially all over theWest coast in San Diego.
I'm online and in person, soeither one of those works.
And, of course, we do monthlybreathwork bowls for our
community here in San Diegoevery month and even with Neil's

(35:43):
head injury, we've stillcontinued to do that Mostly.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah.
So for our last question whatadvice would you give someone
who feels disconnected fromtheir spiritual path, but is
maybe seeking healing throughmusic and sound?

Speaker 2 (35:59):
I would say to find music that brings you an
emotional connection and listento it and just start to breathe
with it and sit with it and toyou know, reach out to whatever
modality calls you so that youcan connect more fully with what

(36:19):
it is you want to know aboutyourself through this practice.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
I love that.
No, it's beautiful advice.
It really is.
It's like what sparks yourinterest and what do you feel
drawn to, and maybe that's asign from divine that's trying
to pull you in.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
It is, yeah, trying to pull you into something new,
that you're meant to learnsomething about yourself through
interacting with the music.
So, and movement, you know, move to the music, to that.
You don't have to just laythere and listen.
You can.
You can move to it, you canbreathe to it.
It's just let it move into youressence.

(36:53):
I think when I listen to music,I'm actively listening.
I feel where the music touchesmy body.
I feel it in my shoulders anddown my arms.
I wear my earphones and getcompletely immersed in the music
.
I notice where the notes aregoing, and that is a.
It's a, it's a practice oftransformation in itself.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
So much.
Well, Ellen, I almost calledyou a different name.
I want to thank you so much forcoming on the Spiritual
Spotlight Series.
It's truly been amazing toconnect with you today.
Same.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Thank you, rachel, so much.
This has been great, thank you, thank you.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
