So what does Homer Simpson have to do with sports? Don't forget he was the star of the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant softball team! Mike Reiss is one of the writers for the Simpsons and has been for over 20 years. He also wrote jokes for the greatest late night host ever, Johnny Carson. And to top it off he took a ride to the Titanic on the Ocean's Gate submersible, one year before it imploded killing all five aboard. He's also a Harvard grad.
