in the studio our man Sean Bernard at the best
NFL Sunday of the season coming up, especially the late
window tomorrow and the latest of windows, Detroit Lions here
against the Eagles in the game that never was last
January because Detroit just.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Did not get there.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Good slight of college football, which we will get into sixers.
Losing Detroit last night, we'll get to some NBA talk.
Detroit leeds the East at eleven and two, Oklahoma City
and Denver in the stacked West at twelve and one,
nine and two, respectively.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
You'll love this. Mike Kurrent especially will love this.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Brooklyn, Indiana, and Washington are combined three and thirty three.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Each of them are one and eleven.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Indiana was in game seven of the finals last year.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
They're won in Brooklyn has like no draft picks till
like twenty fifty six.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Right they did.

Speaker 5 (01:50):
Washington's always in that car.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
You had to combine Brooklyn and Washington, maybe they could
have two wins.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Oh no, they got draft picks from mckill. I'm sorry. Yeah,
they didn't have any and then they got them all.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
College football, which we're going to get into shortly, Big ten.
We have two undefeated teams right Ohio State and Indiana
and three to one loss teams. USC aren't going to Michigan,
so a strong league there.

Speaker 6 (02:14):
SEC.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
We have two undefeated teams in the league, A and
M's undefeated overall, and Alabama one loss in Georgia Mississippi
Texas Big game today Texas and.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Georgia, which we will get into.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Jaguars last week, John, I thought i'd bring this up.
It led by nineteen going into the fourth at Houston,
and in the last one hundred and fifty games when
a team led by nineteen going into the fourth in
the NFL one one covering the spread as an underdoger
favored by minus three or less.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Anybody want to tell me the game that was not
covered in that last hundred It was the Jaguars. Incorrect, Hope,
I thought Super Bowl twenty eight to three. Oh, Atlanta
was the dog. Yes, led By lost the game.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
Yeah, things happened over The only difference is that was Tomation.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah right, that was Tom Brady. This was Davis Mills.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I lost the game in regulation.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
John, Have you given up when you're John? Didn't he?

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Why did Jacks come back in a playoff game when
they were down?

Speaker 8 (03:19):
They were down twenty seven to three or something.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
Into the fourth quarters?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah, okay, the.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Patriots were down twenty eight three going into the fourth quarter. Yes, yep, okay,
I know they were down that according to the officials,
it is. It is an absolute mess in Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Where have we heard that before.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
The the Houston Texans had a one hundred percent pressure
rate on Trevor Lawrence in the fourth quarter. That means
every single drop back Trevor Lawrence had there was somebody
in his face.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
That's not good. Davis Mills had about a week and
a half.

Speaker 8 (03:54):
To throw a football, so one team was getting pressure,
the other wasn't, and it all just collapsed from that.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
His problem is that John, I'm with you, but there's
certain quarterbacks. Now, now we've had six years now of
this guy who's supposed to be the greatest thing after
his freshman year in college. Okay, whatever, I like him.
You got the guy in Green Bay. It was only
in his third year. I get there's certain quarterbacks and
after a while you sit there and you say, wait
a minute, don't you have to get it done once

(04:21):
in a while. Then you see a guy like throwing
Philadelphia always gets it done, Okay, And I'm just saying
there's certain guys that you sit there and you go,
I don't know if I trust that guy.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
This is the third coach for.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
A yeah, oh yeah, I think we'll get in We'll
get into all.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
That when we get to the NFL. But I just
wanted to throw that number out there. Here is lets
see who's paying attention to college football is We're about
to get into it in a minute or so. Does
anybody know this name? Joe fact Nana? Right, John, you're
the only one with any shot.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
At this Why do I know that name? Wow?

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So he was a longtime quarter back at Maine and
now he's in his first year at Yukon.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Yes, that's right.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yukon is seven and three and my man, Joe Fagnano
sixty nine percent twenty five touchdowns, zero interceptions, should be
the Heisman Trophy winner.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
But because he's at Yukon. And why did you look
at me when you said that.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Jim Moore, Yeah, one of our voters, will you please
vote for Joe fagna I thought i'd give that a
couple other colleagues.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Yukon is an unbelievable If they filled up that stadium
in Hartford that nobody goes to and they beat Duke
last week, very impressive.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Jim Moore Junior, I didn't get done. We'll probably get
a high profile job again after the disaster at UCLA
because of that.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Your league, John, the American Big Game today e cu at.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Oh minus two and a half over Memphis. The following
teams might current in the American have one loss. Navy
USF they play each.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Other today, Tulane E CU, North Texas wide open.

Speaker 8 (05:59):
Why don't be a lot of fun schools in there?
North Texas a fun one. Memphis is a fun.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
One, and the winner of the league is probably gonna
get that other bit.

Speaker 8 (06:06):
Yeah, it's it's looking it's looking that way that they
would be the group of five team to do that
ACC one loss.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
This is crazy as we're in mid November.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Georgia Tech Virginia Pittsburgh which hosts another day today, s
m U and Duke.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
All alive in the ACC.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Notice who I did not met you, Florida State and
Clemson who won the Clemson.

Speaker 9 (06:27):
Louis Louisville will be in my or five by twelve.
Louisville was a big twelve one lost Big twelve.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Texas Tech b YU Cincinnati Texas Tech with the inside
track guy, like, no you mentioned Duke having a band,
but they they're favored this week.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
They're alive and they got one loss. They can but
they had the band loss like the Yukon.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
If you considered that a band.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Loss you got Joe Fagnan, I come on, but who was?

Speaker 1 (06:56):
But I saw the Duke line to twenty five.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
And favored by Lake you over somebody good, somebody good,
and I figure it out.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I should not. I should have written it down there.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
You should have.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
But that's what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Duke.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, Virginia there, Yeah, they're home against Virginia. Yes, but
only six point favorite. Somebody's got to be favored.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
So they found by six, it is three three, It
is okay. So Virginia is a bit of a fraud.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
They aren't. John. I'm totally with you.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Everybody's a fraud except for it's very true except the Owls.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
That's well, there's that. I'm going to get into the whole.
They are who we thought they were college they've always been.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
I got eight games written down and anything else. But
let's start with the Eagles and Alliance.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Since where where we are? Where we are?

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Eagles favored two and a half Tomorrow night, NBC.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
I mean it should be awesome.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
So last Monday they don't have to score because Green
Bay's offense could do nothing.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
So they played the game close to the vest.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
And they want because that's how they do things, and
they find ways to win games. Ten is not getting
it done. Tomorrow night, thirty might be a better number.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
A J.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Brown will have a minimum two touchdown catches, you know
that for sure. But you're gonna have to score thirty
to have a shot. I don't care how good your
defense is.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Detroit is scoring on you.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Okayle, we'll start with you your thoughts on Eagles Lions
tomorrow night at the light.

Speaker 7 (08:14):
Yeah, you look at the West coast too.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
You have Seattle, LA.

Speaker 7 (08:18):
So it gonna be a great weekend and Kansas City
at Dens and Kansas City. But Tom is gonna tell
you a lot for the NFC outlook this specifically close
to home Philadelphia. You're gonna learn who they really are
because they have been getting a lot of sloppier wins.

Speaker 10 (08:35):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (08:36):
The offense isn't really clicking the way that we wanted to.
We know all the AJ Brown sagas going on, multiple
sagas for AJ Brown it seems like, but yeah, this
is one where the offense is gonna have to click.
It's gonna be a high scoring game. The defense, who's
been really good, I mean Jalen Phillips did not skip
a beat coming into this defense. They're gonna be tested

(08:59):
tomorrow as well. Uh, And I think whoever comes out
on top tomorrow is ultimately uh going to be the
team to beat in the NFC. And your selection, Oh,
we're doing selection, Kyle. We're gonna start with this. This
is our biggest game.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Don't be a Cowardes. I'm gonna go with the Eagles.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
I've been going with the Eagles all year, rightfully so,
and until they proved me wrong. And you know, in
big situations, I'm gonna ride with Jalen Hurts uh to
rise the occasion and cover the two and a half.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
It's been two and a half all week.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
Uh, Mike, I'll throw this at you as you think
about your selection for the game.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
The Eagles kind of remind me of Kansas City last year. Right,
that's not very good. Keep winning games somehow, and it
caught up to him in a super Obviously.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Kansas City had no players last year. Eagle's got players.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
That's fair, like May and all.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Whatever I want to say about Jordan Love and I
could or the coach, they got nobody.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
The receivers.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
There are three best receivers at the beginning of your
are all out and then they lost their tight end
and their line.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
They just lost their center for whatever. Yeah, and their defense.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Is phenomenal, and they went out and got Michael Parsons
so they could try to win a super Bowl and
they're probably not going to win a super Bowl. Uh,
the Lions under Campbell, and they've been looking at this game.
This is like a game they had, so of course, okay,
I get it on it's a game they wanted to.
Campbell's record on the road seventeen to sixteen to one.
Interesting the quarterback is similar like when you get lights

(10:29):
out at Ford Field, do you like to play?

Speaker 6 (10:33):
Like, yeah, what's the record?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Say, since they got good because Campbell's first kay throw
out to throw out, I don't know, first year or
two when they were trying.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
Yeah, I bet it looks more positive. But I also, yeah,
there's probably something too. They like being at home and
it's way better it was.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Also, i've heard this this week when they've played good
defenses this year, they've not been good. Okay, I'm trying
to remember the three d the three teams they lost to.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Oh, well they lost that home to Minutnnesota.

Speaker 4 (11:00):
Minnesota, but there was two Green Bay was a Green
Bay the first week in Portugal or somewhere that it was.
That game was wasn't that game? You ever get Chiefs
for him down there?

Speaker 1 (11:14):
That's right?

Speaker 4 (11:15):
So zero, no, no, no, this is uh Brazil. All
Syrianne does is win. Now I get why people, to me,
you can't have a J. Brown getting three passes and
one of them was late when apparently the quarterback broke
the script again and they but whatever, they won the game.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
That's all that to me matters.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
But at some point everybody's saying, well, they can't win
the super Bowl playing like this.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Of course they can't.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
But this is what we said about the Phillies all
last year, maybe the year even year before that.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
When you get to the playoffs, wake me up. But
the difference is the Eagles havy super Bowl ring? Yes
they do.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
And so yes if the Eagles get to the playoffs
and lose a game eventually because their offensive saints. But
remember this, the coach is conservative. He started doing this
after Week four last year. He said, we ain't gonna lose,
We're not gonna turn the ball over. And now the
quarterback's conservative. He don't want to turn the ball over.
And you know, what they don't and do. I think

(12:16):
it was ugly watching what they were doing.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Sure, But again I'm gonna take I think the Lions
are legit, I think, and their secondary is all banged up,
so I think Diagles should be able to throw.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
I'm taking the Eagles let into two and.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
A half because ride me all the way home, you know, yeah,
before I get to my john next.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
But a couple of general thoughts on this.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I think more than any team I've watched in the
NFL in recent years, they adapt to how the game
is being played.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
It's really kind of fascinating.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
They might have had one plan for green Bay coming in,
but when they realized like green Bay wasn't going to
score against this defense, they said, you know what, every
third and long, we're gonna hand the ball off in
punt because we don't think they can score, and we're
eventually going to score, which they did on the long
pass to Smith, and ten or thirteen or fourteen might
be enough tonight.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
And that's fine.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
That's actually good coaching. I don't have a problem with that.
Was it boring?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Yes? Was it? You know? Did you want to turn
the TV? Off? Yes? Did I ever think that we're
gonna lose the game.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
No, I never thought that for a minute because I
just didn't think Green Bay.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
I don't remember what the record was in twenty two,
but they got to the Super Bowl twenty three.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
They were ten and one.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Last year they were what they only lost three games
the whole year.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
So this year there are seven to two? Is that right?
Ration two? No? Seven to seven?

Speaker 6 (13:37):
Sorry?

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Well, why do we sit here like and and I
understand when you look boring whatever, and then you see
him in the second half against the Rams, or you
see him other games when they throw the ball. This
coach has a play way he wants to play. The
quarterback is the perfect quarterback for him? And you know what,
they went an awful lot.

Speaker 11 (13:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
No, My point is that they appear to adapt how
they want to to how a particular game is either
going to be played or is.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
People don't like that.

Speaker 6 (14:05):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
I actually think it's great because the object is very
simple to try to win the game.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Look, are you gonna win a lot of games ten
to seven? Of course not, it's not gonna happen, but
that particular game, and Mike, you mentioned the Green Bay's.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Receivers were not all out, they were all gone. They
just weren't the same team that they would have been
with all their weapons. So you think, hey, let's play conservative,
let's not give them any points.

Speaker 6 (14:26):
And they didn't.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
They really did remember last year when the only drive it.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Didn't like was the one where Green Bay scored because
they got up ten to nothing and all of a
sudden they stopped.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Yeah, they knew that was last.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Year when they were, when they were when it got
to like the second half of the year or clip
and people were like, oh, they got to throw they
got and yeah, look AJ came out and said, we
got to fix our pass again.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
No, you were.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
You had the best historic offensive line, you had an
historic running back run the ball, and your defense is
going to give up like ten points, twelve whatever.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Because they were really, really good and yet people had
faults with it.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
And the other object for this team is to peak
in January, and absolutely that's the other thing they're trying.
They're like a great horse trainer. His horse is gonna
run okay in the race before the derby and then
he's gonna win.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
That's kind of how I think they're doing it.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
And so far as what happens when people criticize them,
then usually the week after that is the week they
throw for for three things.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
That was my point A J.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
Brown. I don't know what all the numbers. J. Brown,
just take it.

Speaker 4 (15:25):
If I were the Eagles, and they probably won't, I'd
come out and throw him the ball like three or
four times.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
On the first driven and they and they might. By
the way they like the matchups. Green Bay secondary is
really good.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Detroit is not.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
By the way, the other receivers pretty good. Nobody ever
talks about.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Sunday was not in the top hundred of the NFL.

Speaker 5 (15:45):
It's insane.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
And they're one of the best under players I know nothing.

Speaker 6 (15:49):
Pretty good. He's good and what was.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
The biggest play of that game? Will throw a swing
pass to Saquon and he'll break it for forty Oh
for sure. Okay, I understood. But again I think, and
I think we're all in agreement. They were playing conservative
because of the other team. It just makes you wonder sometimes, Dick,
I guess why, I agree with everything you said, and
I agree with what they did, but why Sometimes he
just don't say no, let's try to beat him by

(16:13):
fourteen ten.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
There were times when Hurtz says it like after the game, like, hey,
why don't we do this? But he's going along with
the program because all he does is win the game.
I understand where Brown is coming from because he's thinking
big picture like this can't keep happening, Yeah, we can't
win games.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Well, I don't thought John.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
Before you go at the end when they got fourth
down and it's like what twenty five thirty seconds left?

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yep, you just punt the ball?

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Yeah, punt.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
It was so dumb, punt it inside the ten because
at that point yards are more important than normal because
there's so little time left with them having no timeouts.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
They completely went against what you said their game plan was,
which is our defense is gonna hold them.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
So I don't know who did what on that play,
like whether Hurts did something he wasn't supposed to do,
But that made no sense to me.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
Normally, you know, if there's a minute.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
And a half left and you can complete a pass
of the games over, you do it.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
But not with thirty seconds.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
Yeah, And I think that's where yardage or like distance
to the first town makes a lot of difference. I
think a lot of times for Sirianni, they're in like
a fourth and three go for to me, you go
for that.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Fourth and six. That is a long distance, John, I
don't do that in that circumstance at all.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Because of how much times left and the fact that
they had no timeouts because you wanted them, they were
gonna have to complete a minimum of two passes yes
to get into field goal range.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Well it turned out they only had to do one.
McManus had a bad leg, so mcma kicked.

Speaker 8 (17:33):
From that for But your your percentage of a fourth
and three and getting that is a lot higher than
a fourth and six, And like, you ice.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
The game if you made John, It's like say a
couple of years ago when they lost to the Jets.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yeah, and he threw that bad interception, Dix, Like why
why why are you throwing the ball? And normally I'm
gonna go for it guy, Jets are evaluate the situation.

Speaker 8 (17:53):
But even I like, I'm gonna go four guy, fourth
and sixth, No no shot. Even if even if the
only like the what the next yards if he kicked
it in the back of the end zone would have
been fifteen yards.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Still, that fifteen yards made a lot.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
Of I guess that's where somebody has to be whispering
in next year. Hey, nicky butt's.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
Let's and he's usually pretty good at situation football.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
That's what surprised me about that. And maybe he did
he wanted the part. Maybe again, we don't know the
whole story might have taken.

Speaker 8 (18:18):
And I think that's that's where again, the situation was
close enough to where he usually would go for it,
and so he went for it without thinking, Hey, this
is a little bit a little bit different.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
He was a little bit more nuanced. He wanted to
end the game, Yeah he did. He didn't want them
to out of the ball. I normally would.

Speaker 7 (18:34):
Agree give him the ball, but I normally would in
that circumstance. I don't have a circumstance with football. I mean,
if if it's a high scoring game, it's like thirty
eight to thirty five, the defense is struggling, then I
could see being aggressive going for it in that situa
worst thing.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
So Jordan Love is going to get criticized. I get it.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
He had two drops in the fourth phoned to like
his fourth string receiver fight in the guy's hands.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
If those two balls get caught, I don't know, maybe
the Eagles still win.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
The game, John, I apologized once more. One other circumstances,
I got a text from one of my buddies after the.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
Whole thing ended, and they said, why were the Eagles
passing on the previous possession.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
I said, to try to get a first out. I
didn't have a problem with that at all.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Is that the deep pass to a j that was
the last play the previous possession Detroit.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Remember the green Bay went for it, then the Eagles
got the ball back.

Speaker 6 (19:24):
Yeah, previous possession.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
They were trying to ice the game and green Bay
still had two timeouts.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
So because they have.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Time outs, you wanted to take that chance out of
the game.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Yeah, if you're incomplete pass, they were still going to
be able to get the ball back in the second one.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Anyway, John, I apologize. Go ahead your thoughts on Tom.

Speaker 8 (19:39):
There's a there's a lot to unpack there, but I
think going to Detroit's matchup specifically, the interesting thing is
Detroit is going to kind of.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Spread them out a little bit. The Eagles haven't been
all spread out that much on defense. They haven't had
to use as many cornerbacks as there that they would
have had to, especially with green Bay.

Speaker 5 (19:57):
There's really not a lot to cover.

Speaker 8 (19:58):
So now I'm interested in, because you're out Xanders retired,
they got Michael Carter, do they move Cooper Dejen outside.
Michael Carter is usually just a nickel slot guy. I'm
I'm really interested in how they played that matchup and
how their secondary works against what Detroit does because Detroit's
passing game is so darn good. But the thing I
really like, and one of the the trades that they

(20:18):
did make that was more impactful, Jalen Phillips wrecked that game.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
He like he he completely wrecked it a year.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yeah, it could be and I didn't think it was
gonna be that that productive or make that kind of
an impact.

Speaker 8 (20:31):
That's huge. He was great in the run game, he
helped out with the pass rush. So the thing with
Detroit is they lost an offensive lineman in the offseason
and at times it looks like they lost some offensive
lineman in the offseason. So I think this is this
may be another really good matchup for Jalen Phillips again
to see like this is what they got him for
against a big time NFC opponent like this, to wreck

(20:52):
a game with a quarterback they can't move, wreck the
game and I actually I think this is a really
fun matchup for the Eagles team. I am gonna go
with Eagles because of that, because I really think the
offensive line problems for Detroit kind of get down played
a little bit because their offense can be so explosive,
but they do have issues on the offensive line.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
Was the center guard?

Speaker 1 (21:10):
The center? I think it was that of Frank brag
Now and they've been dealing with injuries a little bit.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
You know what it costs Hallie to get that guy?
That cost him zero because if he leaves at the
end of the year, they will get a compensatory pick,
which will probably be like a third round draft pick.
You're betraying your draft pick for the Lions pick. The
Lions pick might be better. Yeah, just how good is Hollie?

(21:38):
Like if another general man and look, maybe the Dolphins, Hey, well,
I didn't want to pay him exactly, so I understand
why they trained here. But you're telling me another general
manager couldn't have picked up the phone. If Hollie calls
me and I'm a general manager, I hang out. I'll
just say, hey, Hallie, you having a good day?

Speaker 1 (21:54):
See it?

Speaker 7 (21:55):
And that Jalen Phillips I mean, it's like a trickle
down effect because Jalen Phillips reeks havoc. But it also
takes eyes off of Jalen Carter so that he could
chan looked really good. I mean, Jalen Carter really destroyed
that game as well with the two past deflections he
was in the backfield.

Speaker 5 (22:11):
Every player was so good.

Speaker 6 (22:13):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
It's just it's a miracle when you can get a
decent pass.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Now he gets rid of the ball quick. I mean,
they have plays where you know they're not stupid. But again,
if you can make him throw it a little bit quicker,
a little bit, can he can turn the ball over?

Speaker 6 (22:32):
The other thing?

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Sure, the coach will not be conservative tomorrow Night's Siriannouse.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
The other guy's going forward on everything. He better not be.

Speaker 8 (22:39):
And sometimes I feel like I feel like I've seen
that at times where Sirianni doesn't gets a little too
conservative or gets.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
All he was the opposite for quite a long time. Yeah,
it's the first one that was going for it on.

Speaker 8 (22:49):
But it's just it's so damn Campbell is so aggressive,
and even when Sirianni seems like he's being aggressive, it
doesn't feel like enough and that's like, that's how Detroit
Lions team can go into Philadelphia and beat the Eagles
because like they're hyper aggressive and if you do that, like, yeah,
it's it's easily. So a lot of teams will like
kick a field goal and go up to nothing. Detroit

(23:10):
doesn't do that. They go fourteen, so like they're that
that changes the game so fast.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
And Detroit has the right, uh, the best receiving combinations
in football, we would agree, Cincinnati is one of the
very best. Yeah, the Eagles are in the hunt. The
Lions are in the hunt right with Saint Brown and Williams.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
I mean, what did the Rams have besides Puco?

Speaker 8 (23:30):
They got Adams that might be the best one pretty
and hearts another one who Matthew Safford's having like an
MVP ICUs Who am I miss?

Speaker 5 (23:40):
Minnesota?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Minnesota Jefferson and Jordanadis.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
They just don't have a quarterback right now.

Speaker 1 (23:45):
That's there, that's their problem.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
So yeah, I mean that it's fascinating to see whoever
is the other outside cornerback for the Eagles tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
Dorry Jackson is going to get annihilated clearly. I mean interesting,
They've got.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Good enough, you know, and I assume Saint Brown will
be tracked by Mitchell the whole game.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
So in my opinion, he's awesome. I think he's one
of the two or three best. I like number eleven
Williams is really Yeah, he's.

Speaker 8 (24:12):
Really I just think in any way, you're gonna have
to have your three best cornerbacks out there, whoever there,
and if that combination Jen and Mike Carter, then yeah,
the gene has to go on the outside and he
has to play that.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Who's our slot receivers, who's the third.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
Usually a Monroe is is more of the st But
they got a lot of title and they and they
got running and they got and they have offensive line.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
Zach Zach Baond has to play like an all pro.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
I think tomorrow whichever team can run the ball better
and Eagles haven't you know, really shown that out.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
But again I think Detroit is going to run the ball,
and so it's up to the Eagles. They got a
great running backs and gives his lethal out of the
backfield catching and that's where Zach on buckle up, Kobe
Dan to buckle up and tackle because what that game, Kyle,
what do we got like a fifty fifties. Yeah, yeah,

(25:09):
I mean forty six and a half. Really okay, tight game.
So you're saying twenty five when twenty four wins the game,
I would I strongly lean to over. I kind of was.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
I think either team could win the game. I mean,
I'm taking the Eagles, but that's because I've taken the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah, I've written the Eagles for two years now, so
I'll ride them to the finish line where unanimous four
two and a half.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
We had a couple of four wins last week, believe
it or not.

Speaker 3 (25:35):
H And if you're looking ahead the next week, Eagles
are minus three and a half at Dallas in the
late Fox game in the late window at four to
twenty five.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
But yeah, it'd be interesting tomorrow night looking forward to
could lose and still get the number one seed. Correct,
If they don't think they win, they're they're like a
fifty percent. I don't think Troy can lose and get
the number one seed.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
And I think the two teams out or ultimately the
two teams you could be looking at, only because the
teams in the North are going to keep beating.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Up on each other. Yeah, no, dabd, Yeah, it's gonna
it's gonna be a fun day.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
We'll get to all the NFL games in a bit,
we'll start the college games. Uh, in a second, we
want to do a little NBA. Right before the break
was sean, Uh, Sean. So, where where are the Sixers
at the moment?

Speaker 1 (26:22):
We know what their record is?

Speaker 5 (26:24):
Column?

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Yeah, whether there's that problem, I mean, they're they're involved
with a number of other teams at this point. They
were kind of all the same in the East. Let
me let me grab my little East standings here.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
If I imagine you're Indianapolis and went to the final
game seven in the finals last year, you wan the
wins or one.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
One and eleven. My god, so sewn in the East
Detroit eleven and two.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Then the Knicks, Atlanta, Cleveland, Milwaukee six Ers or six
at seven and five, Toronto seven and five, Chicago, Orlando, Miami,
Boston would be the other team I would include in
the top eleven in some ways, Charlotte, Brooklyn, indian Indiana.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Forget that they're just horrible.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Yeah, where do we think the Sixers are at the
moment beyond just the record, and do we have any
sense of a Paul George or b is this NB
thing a short term or long term or do we
even know?

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Well, it just it feels like, let go shot.

Speaker 12 (27:19):
Yeah, the pack.

Speaker 11 (27:21):
The pack is definitely still separating the East, like even
like a team with the Bulls, everyone was all head
over heels after getting off to a hot start. They're
now back to eighth place with a six and five
record here. I think the Sixers, the feel is they're
probably going to be in that low end playoff range,
high end playing type of tier.

Speaker 12 (27:35):
Uh, They're still gonna be good. They're competitive.

Speaker 11 (27:38):
Like the loss last night, you obviously can't lose to
a team that doesn't have their two best players like
the Pistons were last night. But at the same time,
like Detroit has been incredible this year, they do, in
my eyes, look like like a legitimate contender in the
Eastern Conference. So I don't think the Sixers are quite
the Pistons or the Knicks or the Calves. But beyond that,
it's kind of open for the taking here and every
team in this Eastern Conference kind of has flaws, So

(27:59):
I don't think the Sixers nique in that category.

Speaker 8 (28:01):
Fair enough, John, your thoughts where we are for It's
like last year it just feels incomplete, and we're never
gonna see what it's gonna feel like complete. And that's
the whole part, because like, it sounds great that they're
seven and five Max. He looks really good. They seem
like they got something in VJ.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Edgecomb.

Speaker 8 (28:16):
Some of the other role players are like doing pretty well,
but you don't have Jared McCain all the way back yet.
Joel Embiid is now looking at his knee again. Paul George,
we have no idea where he's at if somebody find
Paul George. But yeah, it's just like okay, so that's
a good spot to be in. And then when they
get complete, it might look really good. But the problem
is it will never or might not ever get.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Eight last year.

Speaker 12 (28:37):
It's definitely better than yeah. No, they definitely are.

Speaker 4 (28:40):
Yeah, but when you said it's like, no, I get
where you're coming from. But this team, even if God.

Speaker 6 (28:45):
Forbid, Joe doesn't give him from, they're watchable.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
They're watchable.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
They're at worst maybe a five hundred team, which they
weren't like packed it in last year the last two
months or whatever, so you will have something to pay
attention to. They're going to be in the playoffs in
an all like he was boring something totally stupid there.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I wouldn't say that, Mike, we just went over there's
eleven two.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah, but the East thing beyond Detroit and the Knicks
in Cleveland, the other eight Sean, I think you just
made the point.

Speaker 11 (29:12):
There's not a whole lot of difference the other eight teams, right.
I think Toronto will slip down. I think they're gonna
end up in that conversation. So I think like the
bottom five of the East is pretty clearly going to
be Washington, Indiana, Brooklyn, Charlotte, and then Toronto. So that's
kind of like five teams that I would take off
the table. There are people that would make the case.
And as far as like the quick injury updates ANDMB,
I mean, it's more of the same to be honest, Like,

(29:33):
this isn't a huge setback thing. There's no structural issue.
It's just going to be this, you know, manage him
throughout the season type of deal. Paul George should be
back like this week. It should have happened a while ago.
They seem to be like kicking the can down the
line a little bit because there's not a reason to
rush him and they're thinking long term or whatever. And
I'll also note like I'm still optimistic Jad McCain's gonna
find himself. I liked the game a little time with

(29:55):
the Blue Coats. He's played three games at the NBA level.
He looks like a guy who has not played NBA
back ball in a year, and he's kind of catching
up to the pace of play.

Speaker 12 (30:02):
He has not made a three pointer yet.

Speaker 11 (30:04):
That's not gonna be Jared McCain once he does setle in,
So I think that is going to be an added
bonus that I am counting on for the Sixers team.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
And is there a chance on astory this off the
air that the defense can be any.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Better than it has without him being out there on
a regular basis.

Speaker 11 (30:18):
They're definitely not gonna be like a top defense in
the league or anywhere close to that. I think it'll
be better than what we're seeing. Like Dominic Barlow returned
last night, and I know that's like a two way guy.
He's going to be a huge part of this team.
And just like his ability as a rebounder and shot
blocker something that really popped. They're getting decent minutes from Drummond,
it's still incomplete. I think Paul George will help a
little bit in that category. So I guess, like, I
think it's gonna be better than what we're currently seeing.

(30:39):
But they're gonna be a fairly mediocre to bad defensive
team all year as long.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
As em Beat is not in the back end.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
If he's in the back end, then you'll automatically become better,
right because you can give up drives.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
You got the shot blocker at the back end.

Speaker 11 (30:51):
As long as he's capable of getting vertical, because there's
that problem, right, Yeah, So I think Barlow is honestly
the guy that i'd point to. Is my biggest reason
for optimism is there is like a and like you
feel his presence in a way that I haven't really
felt with anyone else.

Speaker 1 (31:03):
In this roster.

Speaker 11 (31:04):
And I'm also a little bit disappointed in a den Bona.
I thought that was gonna be a guy who was
ready to like step up see his role grow. He
just is not polished enough with like the basketball skill.
Still commits like some dumb fouls and stuff. Drummond has
very clearly outplayed him. So Bona is like an incredible
shop blocker, but there's so many weaknesses in the other
parts of his game that Nurse can't leave him on
the floor too long.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Is Parloam the guy that made that shame flying block
from behind last night that they got overturned when they
called a foul.

Speaker 12 (31:28):
Yes, yes, that was an incredible players.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
Guy's a good player.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
He's the one that said, hey, like you review this?

Speaker 6 (31:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (31:36):
Where did he hit a cup of coffee with the
Spurs and the Hawks to start his career. He's a
dude who took one of these alternate pass to the NBA.
He's an overtime elite prospect. Okay, so it's kind of
like a diamond the rough type of thing. This is
the biggest, like clear chance that he's gotten. He's making
the most of it. He's looked really good so far.

Speaker 6 (31:53):
Is he's the guy for like from South Jersey?

Speaker 12 (31:56):
Yeah, he bounced around. He spent a little bit of
time in South Jersey.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
I think for a little bit of time sat Joe's
I think it was Joe's prapped buck heart. Yeah, knew
he was at a PCL. You just remember what squad
say for Speedy.

Speaker 3 (32:06):

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Hundred gambler Dictorardi my current John Jensen, Kyle Nuttamaker South
Florida minus ten and a half at Navy Marine Corps
Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, playing the midshipman who got run
over by Notre Dame last week.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
South Florida.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Right now, I would say if they win, they're in
the best position of any team to be that other
team to.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Get into the playoffs. Mike will start with you, South
Florida minus.

Speaker 4 (34:18):
I'm gonna pass to John because John knows more about
these teams than me, So tough, John.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Right now, who would be the American Title Game matchup?

Speaker 8 (34:28):
I think it would be South Florida with all the
tie breakers, I am not sure, but I would think
Navy and South Florida.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Five teams USF Tulane, East Carolina.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Okay, so this could be a preview, but I think
Navy schedule. I think Navy has a tougher But what
do you think ten is ten a lot here?

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah? I think so.

Speaker 8 (34:48):
And I think these two teams are very similar, more
running teams than I think they are passing one.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
Maybe FROs more than they used to.

Speaker 8 (34:54):
Yeah, and Brown has twenty two hundred yards a lot
of it's like at the Lina scrimmage, a lot of.
He's the leading rusher of the team as well, So like, yeah,
that's it's more of just like him being dynamic. And
that's kind of what Navy does too, is Horvath is
just a really dynamic quarterback. So I don't know how
many matchups you would get where both quarterbacks are the
leading passers and rushers of their football team, which is

(35:15):
really interesting. See, I think it's it's more evenly matched.
I think ten and a half way too much, especially
on the road.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
I like maybe I think it's a reaction that him
getting pounded by Notre Dame.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Well, who didn't know that. I mean they always get pounded.

Speaker 6 (35:27):
Yeah, and they lost.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Name is really good and I would not want any
part of them to playoff.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
And Navy has lost their last two games North Texas
before that. North Texas is a little bit of a
different matchup though, just because their offense game is so explosive.
But those two games are also on the road. They
have played three of their last four in the road.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
This is at home.

Speaker 5 (35:46):
I think it's gonna be a lot better. And it's
still two good teams.

Speaker 8 (35:52):
South Florida is a better team again, it's it's more
stylistically it matches.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
I mean, they have to win the game to stay alive.
Although any either team that loses, now they got two
Wells in the league, and then.

Speaker 8 (36:04):
I think every team in the American is gonna feel too. Yeah,
not just two Wells to just feel that pressure off.
You can't drop one because it feels are gonna be
dropped one.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
You might be out of it.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Yeah, So take South Florida becase we're all gonna take
Davy here, so East Carolina, John, it's a special here
minus doing half. You're Alma mater at home against two
lost Memphis, which looked like the team a couple of
weeks ago in the league, and now they've lost twice.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Can the Pirates continue on a roll here?

Speaker 8 (36:31):
This is a tough one because I would like to
say yes, but but sometimes it's it's East of Easy
in their last three games to scored over forty points.
But those last three games are Tulsa, Temple and Charlotte.
I just feel like a little bit's been made too
much of this offense. I think it's good, but I
think when you got to the better teams, the by Us,

(36:53):
the Twains, the they played NC State in the beginning
of the year, very up and down, like one half
they look amazing, the other half it's like they can't
get anything going. And once that happens, they try to
play so fast on offense that they three and out
so fast that their defense gets gas.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Is Memphis the better team?

Speaker 5 (37:10):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (37:10):
Okay, yeah, So that's my point of saying, like, I
get Easy's offense has been really good, and they're at home,
so it makes sense that they're two and a half.
It's just that their offense in this kind of game
doesn't inspire too much.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
All right, here's the reality for me. I cannot name
a player or a coach on either team. I trying
to tell people, why don't we forget Memphis?

Speaker 1 (37:30):
What I what I know or don't know?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
I am taking Memphis plus the two and a half
on the theory that this entire league is the same. Yea,
and everybody's gona end up with two or three losses.
And today's East except Temple, except Temple, which may or
Tulsa or Charlotte will have more.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Is Charlotte in America, they're terrible.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Hold on, let me scroll down. Yes, they are with you.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
I'm going with you, Memphis plus two and a half.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
I'm gonna go. Yeah, I'm gonna go eas see you good,
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Noon.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
By the way, South Florida. The Navy's ESPN two ned ABC.
Notre Dame started the week minus ten and a half
at bet Parks. Now they're minus twelve and a half
at Pittsburgh, which is having a very nice year with
a young quarterback. But man, Notre Dame, it's just play
lights out. Notre Dame can't afford to lose. The Pittsburgh
coach says, I don't care about this game because not
an ACC game. I mean, I think he was kidding,

(38:24):
but who knows. I mean, really, are you serious? Micha
will start with you Irish minus the interesting thing about
Notre Dame and I agree with everything.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
They've played really well against not so good teams like so,
I guess the thing is one.

Speaker 6 (38:38):
Of the it's the best thing they played since saying
m in.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Miami, Like, is pitt a not so good team?

Speaker 4 (38:44):
On another six and two they ranked yep, Because I
took Navy last week and that turned out to be better,
I'm gonna take Pitt.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
I don't know anything about Pitt Young a really good
young quarterback.

Speaker 4 (38:56):
I know my one friend who's a big Notre Dame,
but he worries about everything, Like every game they play,
he thinks they're going to lose.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
Notre Dames do to have a close game.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
But if their quarterback and they're running backs or playing,
I mean, I think they're going to get in the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
I think they're getting a home game in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
But I'm riding I'll take the twelve that I'm riding
with the Irish. I think they're playing as well as
anybody in the country.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Mike's point is well taken that they've been playing nobody,
but they're doing what you're supposed to do and sometimes
just hammer people.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I think they're running game. You can make a case
that's the best in the country. The young quarterback is
really good, their defense is solid. They're obviously very well
coached by Marcus Freeman.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
I'll take in the Irish. I'm not.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
I'm not a believer in the Panthers at all. I
ain't either, That's why you're probably right.

Speaker 5 (39:43):
Yeah, I'm gonna ride with Notre Dame here.

Speaker 7 (39:45):
I just think I think the spread is where it
should be, that being that Notre Dame is just a
tier above Pittsburgh, and I'm going to ride them. They
are beating teams they should be, so until I see
any wheels fall off in Notre Dame, I'm gonna ride
them out. Also, what the Pittsburgh coach said episode stupid.
It was funny, but it was it was kind of

(40:06):
I'm assuming he was kidding. I would hope, so, John,
your thoughts.

Speaker 8 (40:10):
So the best thing pitt has going for them right
now is they do have. It seems like you have
a pretty good quarterback and Heinschel who has been good
for them, and I think the reason why they're seven
to two like very good. They have no running game, though,
and so like it becomes a little bit too reliant
on the passing game. And if you're too reliant on that,
Notre Dame is gonna pick that apart. And Notre Dame

(40:30):
on offense just feels like a wagon.

Speaker 6 (40:32):
With CJ.

Speaker 8 (40:33):
Carr playing as well as he is, I swist they
do have the best running back duo in the country
and Jeremiah Love is probably the best running back of
the back. So I'm going to take Notre Dame. I
think they're just gonna be a little bit too overwhelming.
It's gonna have to take a really special performance from
Pitts starting quarterback to really get.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Thought I have on this, and I think I'm right
about this.

Speaker 4 (40:54):
So Pittsburgh is not they played where the Steelers play there.

Speaker 3 (40:59):
Behind field, whatever act the surefield or whatever the hell is.
I don't think they have a great fan base. I
think there'snna be a lot of Notre Dame.

Speaker 4 (41:07):
There's always a lot of not It's not like if
they're going to beaver Stadia to play pets.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
My friend was thinking about driving out at all. So yeah,
I think that it's going to be like possibly a
fifty to fifty chronic crowd.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
So not that Notre Dame needs healthy. You can't have
a good college atmosphere in an NFL stadium. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (41:23):
So anyway, I like their last two games, Georgia Tech
and Miami. I mean they're going to be really focused
on those two.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Trying to get to the a C Total game, which
is their only shot of getting in the back.

Speaker 1 (41:34):
He was talking, I'm going to give you a clue.
I got it. Nobody plays Notre Dame and looks ahead.
I don't care who you are.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
Oh yeah, you want to beat Notre Dame is going
to evoke and he might even get some pit fans
to come out for all the hell I am at.
How about this today on the Big ten network at
noon Indiana. I normally wouldn't talk about this, but they're
minus twenty nine and a half at home against Wisconsin.
I left the Penn State New Haven hoops game last week,

(42:02):
which was kind of a an eight hundred and fifty
seed arena with the seats weren't even filled. But that's
a whole other story.

Speaker 3 (42:08):
And I got and I'm listening to the end of
the game on Indiana's network. Is that's what I got
on serious. And my man Tom Fisher, who's been calling
Indiana sports for more than a half a century, and
I know him well.

Speaker 4 (42:19):
He's one of the great guys. He's called all of
their national titles with Coach Night back in the day.
And you could just hear it in his voice how
excited he was. And it was the last drive.

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Penn State has come from what two touchdowns behind or
ten points behind to take the lead in the fourth quarter.
And there's Indiana season number two ranking and they run
right down the field and score on that insane catch.

Speaker 4 (42:41):
On the toe tap at the end. So Indiana this
year has rolled all but three teams. At Oregon, they
had to make a late drive to win. They did it,
and I would then hold on and win.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
They did it here. The Penn State played great. They
had to have a lake drive. This team is awesome.
It's the greatest story in college football.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
I love this team.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
I don't care anything about this game because they're gonna
kill Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
But did you watch the end of the day. I
saw the end, Yes, I mean, how cool was it
the watch with them?

Speaker 4 (43:11):
And I felt bad for Penn States against the funny
thing about college football now as opposed to ten years
ago or that loss would not have knocked Indiana.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
That's fair, but they know you want to have an
undefeated season, which they're gonna have in the regular.

Speaker 4 (43:25):
I got to give a little bit of credit to
the Penn stations to Penn State last week for reasons.
I don't even know what. They played great, but they have.
They've played really, They've had a chance to win every game.
In the sixth game, losing showing showing you a little
a lot of heart, a lot of heart.

Speaker 6 (43:39):
If they win their.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Last three, I think they'll be six. Go'll be six,
and so go ahead, go win your last three and
go to a bowl game. Yeah, well, we're quickly on
that they play. Let's is everybody taking Indiana. Indiana's gonna win. Yeah, Wisconsin,
no offense, Indiana one of the best offense.

Speaker 6 (43:56):
I just don't like laying twenty.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
CBS was probably happy with this game when they had
it originally.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
Penn State now minus seven and a half at Spartan
Stateium in Michigan State.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
It was just got had to give ten games back
or fit. What if I figo that was with that guy.
That's a that's a three point thirty start. Mike, you
want to take the lion, give give it a touchdown.
I don't like Michigan State at all. I hate lane
seven and a half on the road for Tea. They
just lost their last exactly. I think the Knicks will
win the game. So under that premise, I I don't

(44:27):
have any thought. I'm just rooting for him to win.
So Michigan State is truly awful.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
Penn State.

Speaker 3 (44:31):
Penn State is not awful. No, they're I mean they're competitive.
They've been in all this this game where Penn State,
what do you think the line wote? Yeah, it would
be what I'll take this.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
I'll just this.

Speaker 6 (44:40):
I like the fact that they're still fighting.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
And they're playing. I hope Terry Smith went.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
Let's hope that last week. Don't knock something out. Yeah,
I mean it's brutal. I don't care who you are.
You keep losing games like that and you put that
much into it. John Penn State minus seven and night.

Speaker 8 (44:53):
I'm I'm gonna go with Michigan State and Penn State
I think will win or at lea like I guess
that's a lot of points at Penn State is in
close games this entire time, So it's not they can
still win these games. It's just that they've been in
so many close wins. Six because I agree with everything
that's been going. Yeah, so I'm gonna go to Michigan State. Yeah,
I'm gonna go Michigan State too. As as much fight

(45:16):
as Penn State has in them, I don't think they
should be seven and a half point favorites against anybody
especially that's fair.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
I agree in their last two games for people that
are interested.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
Nebraska at home and then I believe at Rutgers UH
to finish and get six.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
Rule that rules place.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
He's not going to coach great Well said three point
thirty ABC big game in the SEC Alabama minus six
and a half at home against semi resurgent Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
John Ogama is not good.

Speaker 3 (45:46):
You're not.

Speaker 6 (45:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (45:47):
I mean, like this great hype in the beginning of
the season and John Mattier was getting like all this
Heisman love.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Oh, then he broke his hand. He broke his hand.
He has not. He has not been the same.

Speaker 8 (45:57):
And even even before then, like it, it wasn't like
they were in a completely efficient offense. So now they're
going to go up against an Alabama offense that is
efficient that Ty Simpson's playing incredibly great football. I think
you should be the number one pick in the draft
coming up. Like, I think he's been that good.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
You like him better than the Indiana quarter I do.

Speaker 8 (46:14):
I think Ty Simpson, And like, it's this kind of
game where, yes, Brett animals and Oklahoma's defense is really good,
but Ty Simpson's able to create in so many tight windows,
great throws and big plays.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
He has the wide receivers to help him with that.

Speaker 8 (46:27):
It's just that like, yes, Oklahoma can make life difficult,
but Ty Simpson thrives in difficulty, it seems like, and
that's why they've been able to beat this gauntlet of
SEC teams that they've been on this season.

Speaker 1 (46:38):
Ye as much as they have. So yeah, I like Alabama.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
If there's one score all year that makes absolutely no sense,
it was the opener, Yeah, whatever that was.

Speaker 1 (46:48):
It was Ty simpsons first game starting, and really that's
all I can make. Yeah, just as Mike, Alabama's min
six and half.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
I mean, I'll probably take Alabama just because, but they've
been in a lot of close games, and I think
Oklahoma is okay. I mean, I'm not saying they're greater
or whatever. It's under a touchdown, So I'll take Bama.

Speaker 5 (47:09):
God, yeah, I'm gonna go with them. I got a
ride at the quarterback there.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
I think Alabama has better players. They are killers at home.
They're playing for a top four seed.

Speaker 1 (47:20):
Damn. Look they're planning to get into the SEC title game.
Oklahoma's good. Not this good? Uh?

Speaker 3 (47:26):
Three point thirty BTN in the coliseum, USC minus seven
now against Iowa. Iowa played their hearts out, lost Oregon
on the last second field goal at home. That's taking
them out of the playoff picture.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
I would think.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
USC is kind of alive, sort of Mike or This
is a tough one because Iowa has been that team
all year to just play a close game after close
games way better at home. Yeah, I hate, I still
don't trust USC a lot. God going to regret this,
but I'll lay the points at the coliseum. You're giving

(48:03):
the seven, given the seven because of what you said
I was at home?

Speaker 1 (48:06):
Is it is it different? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:08):
I think this is one where the boat collapses for Iowa.
They're gonna row it right into the I just don't
trust the Trojans.

Speaker 6 (48:16):
I got that.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
I just think USC at home with the kind of
explosive offense that I just don't think I was going
to be able to keep up with.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
Be the way I would look at it.

Speaker 4 (48:24):
How many people with the coliseum, I'll give this one
twenty seven, no reason, he's not lying.

Speaker 6 (48:30):
They don't throw out the twelve thirty.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
They're not even awake.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
Yeah, good point.

Speaker 8 (48:36):
Yeah, this, and I think it's fair to not trust USC,
especially in the matchup like this, where this is where
they kind of struggled a bit. It's a classic Big
ten team that likes to slow the game down, play
good defense, and USC doesn't play any defense. I've eve
been playing better defensively, though. I actually think Lincoln Riley's
got a really good team. Here he goes and I
think he's done a great job. He's got the quarterback

(48:57):
to do it, he's got the wide receiver to do it.
I think, yeah, this is kind of where the bubble
bursts a little bit on Iowa. They've been good, but
I think this is where it shows that they're not
really all that great offensively, and it's gonna be tough
for them even with a good defense.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
USC better not lose this game. Yeah, you just forget
the cover. Yeah, they better not. I agree.

Speaker 8 (49:16):
This is this is finally like Lincoln Riley's got the
team now, this is this is this season like it
was gonna take time for USC, especially moving into a
new conference.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:23):
Uh, And I feel like he's finally got the right
team to perform in the Big Ten, and so far
he has. But like you have, you should win this game.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
Yeah, look, this is just a matchup situation. I was
going to try to run the ball and hold it
for forty minutes. Yeah, USC's gonna put fourteen guys on
the line of scrimmage to make sure they can't do it.
Hope and find a way to score enough points. I
think I was a Kinnick Stadium team, That's what I think.
I think they're great there. It's an awesome home field advantage.
Does anybody know what Kinnick Stadium stands for?

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Who is Kinnick? Anybody know that? Who's a coach back
in the thirties? Was he John? Yeah? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (49:56):
Oh no, no, World War Two.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
Guys, great player for Iowa. Heisman Trophy winner Nile Kinnick. Wow,
then I believe he did something in the war. Yeah,
we'll look a second. Yeah, Yeah, that's right. Nile K. Kinnick,
legendary guy K I N N I c K. Let's
look up K Yeah.

Speaker 8 (50:15):
Nile American naval aviator, law student, and college football player
during Iowa died during a.

Speaker 4 (50:22):
Training flag while serving as a United States Navy aviator,
naval aviator and.

Speaker 6 (50:26):
War works at twenty four years old.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
Yeah, it's nineteen thirty nine Heisman Trophy winner Seohn. You
will never forget that now, see I will. Yeah, I'll
put up there.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
Heisman Trophy voter.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Uh seven point thirty elimination game for Texas today, Good
luck between the hedges. Georgia minus six and a half
over Texas, which has played better.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
But Mike, are they good enough to win? Well? George
has been in all George has been in a lot
of tight games.

Speaker 5 (50:55):
Every game.

Speaker 6 (50:56):
I don't think this.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
Last week when they blew out whoever they dossis on the.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Other side to the I don't think this is a
vintage Georgia team.

Speaker 4 (51:06):
But it's a very, very good Georgia team ABC who
I think their only loss was d Alabama if I'm
not mistaken. In a close game, I think, look, all
the focus is going to be on the Texas quarterback.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
You know Ken he got if he can pull an.

Speaker 4 (51:20):
Upset here, then all of a sudden, ord the crap
that they were saying about him. I think it's a
tough spot though, I do. I think and Georgia has
no pass rush, which is unusual because they usually do
get to the passer.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
They're all playing for the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
You know what, I'm going to take the six and
a half for no good reasons. I think it's just
going to be a close game. I think it's going
to be a close game.

Speaker 8 (51:40):
John, That's where I'm at, Like Sarka is and Arts
is getting comfortable. But sark has like really figured out
this team. And look, it was a team with a
lot of turnover and they really had to figure things out,
especially losing a bunch of skill position players.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (51:52):
I thought what he did against Vanderbilt was really great.
And then as that happened, the first couple of plays,
like you have these swing passes that are going down,
the game wasn't closed.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
I mean, no, Vand did come back to get his right,
but that game wasn't closed.

Speaker 8 (52:03):
But like you you saw as the game went on
to like finally, arch was like getting so comfortable that
he was making some incredible throws and some really like
high level stuff. So yeah, I just I think Starts
done a tremendous coaching job. As the season has gone on,
I think Texas right now might be just as good,
if not better than Georgia, because George is a basket
case in the moment. Yes they're winning, but they feel
so geckling.

Speaker 4 (52:23):
High to play Texas, saying him in two weeks, yeah,
they got to be one of these two games you
have any chance of getting into.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
The Do you think to Texas is coming off of
a buy Texas again Texas? Yeah, the last it all
start to become a blurred No, it is always.

Speaker 5 (52:45):
Have the date in front of me and I second game.

Speaker 4 (52:47):
So the question about Texas is when they went to
Ohio State to start the season.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
They were deared Handlings.

Speaker 4 (52:52):
Yeah, arch Man, the whole team was really but Cerfinely
the quarterback was brutal.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
So you're telling me from that point to now what
ten weeks later, they're dramatically better.

Speaker 8 (53:02):
In your opinion, I would say, and it took a lot.
It took a lot of time. It's not like a
couple of games after that they were better. It took
a lot of time. I think Vanderbilt was finally the
one where it was the full picture.

Speaker 6 (53:12):
They weren't good for like four or five weeks.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
Yes, they were. They were bad, and Arch was a
big problem with it.

Speaker 8 (53:17):
I thought the Vanderbilt game, and may have been Mississippi
State through their offense, played well. But I feel like
that's when things really started to click for for all
of that. And it's not just ARS, Like I don't
want to make this just an ARCS thing. I think
it's everybody. It starts figuring out this.

Speaker 1 (53:30):
Is a game I'd like to bet after like five
or ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (53:32):
Yes, if I like Texas well, you can I understand,
and they take the lead, this would be an end
game for me, freaked out.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
I wouldn't want no parts of them. Cole your thoughts on.

Speaker 7 (53:43):
This game, Yeah, I mean this Georgia team is very good.
To Mike's point, I don't think it's a powerhouse like
it wasn't years past, especially defensively, But.

Speaker 5 (53:51):
To that point, I still don't It's still Georgia.

Speaker 7 (53:56):
It's still Georgia, and I'm still not fully aboard the
Arcs Manning train. He's definitely been better than when he
was a deer in the head lights in week one,
but I'm gonna ride Georgia here with the six and
a half.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (54:09):
Arch Manning proved me wrong.

Speaker 3 (54:10):
Yeah, that was my initial impression. What John and Mike
had to say made a lot of sense to me.
I'll stay with Georgia, But where do you see end
game would be me. I want to see after this game.

Speaker 4 (54:22):
If Texas wins and Arch is good, Heisman, why do
you well, I don't think you can win the Heisman
because of the first half, but if he's not real
good and they lose, it'll be ugly. I'm telling you
this is going to be March interesting final game of
the night.

Speaker 3 (54:38):
I don't know if NBC thought this is what they
were getting when they signed up for Ohio State at
home giving thirty three and a half the u c
l A.

Speaker 4 (54:46):
This came on the board at bet Parks early in
the week at thirty and a half. It's gone up three.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Yeah, I think Nico the officially out so UCLA with
a backup quarterback, no defense, no hope, had a couple
of good weeks. They're back the reality.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
Do they even score in this game that was actually
under on seven points early?

Speaker 1 (55:06):
Yeah? They actually this could be like a fifty six
nothing type game. Yep, I just I can't I understand
everything you're saying. I'm gonna I can't. I can't bet
you see is not going to score? I know.

Speaker 7 (55:20):
So the question is thirty they have a they have
a team special on bet Parks. You can bet U
c l A to score in both halves. That's how
that's rare.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
The what do you get.

Speaker 7 (55:31):
Plus two twenty five? Yes, minus three fifteen? Awesome, that's true.

Speaker 5 (55:37):
I'll take I don't.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
Yeah, I'm with John, I see fifty six two fifty
six to three. I'm watching Food Networker, Colombo, Colombo, NBC.

Speaker 6 (55:48):
All the you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (55:51):
There's can't be over under on how many times they
tell you we got Eagles Lions tomorrow because that's what
they're going to be doing, because that game is going
to be turned off.

Speaker 7 (55:59):
Quick go watch Alabama either they neither blowout material.

are on a red eye tonight late to Madrid, so
we can get there every time for the nine to
thirty Eastern start. Miami minus two and a half against Washington.
And I think this is the first NFL game ever
played in Spain.

Speaker 5 (58:39):
I could be wrong, so sorry they have to see it.

Speaker 1 (58:41):
Will first game NFL played in Spain that nobody cared about.
It would be.

Speaker 3 (58:45):
Preceded by a bullfight and afterward a soccer game Imadrid.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
Now I'm sounds way more excitably. I would go for
that throwing stuff out there more exciting than the football game.

Speaker 3 (58:55):
So Miami is now favored over anybody. It's kind of
a shocking development after they.

Speaker 4 (58:59):
Just annihilated the bills we had, which was my pick
of the week last week.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
I wasn't expecting all that. By the way, I'm not
that I have no clue about that.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
The NFL man John Miami minus t and a half
against Washington, which is.

Speaker 1 (59:12):
Lipping to the finish line.

Speaker 8 (59:14):
Yeah, it is the NFL, but like credit to Mike McDaniel,
where this team felt like it was gonna collapse and
they've had two and between. That is a really bad
loss to Baltimore, if that's Baltimore. Like a thirty four
to ten win over Atlanta and a thirty to thirteen
win over Buffalo, Like, yes, it's the NFL, but also
those are like significantly big wins against pretty good teams.
Atlanta's okay, Buffalo supposedly very good. So I that offense,

(59:37):
to me, it's still Mike McDaniels is a great offense.
Does he have the horses or at least a quarterback
at times to make it work all the time. No,
that's whether three and seven. But McDaniel's offense is awesome,
and I think that wins them games at times. And
right now dan Quinn has not had a good defense. No,
actually a pretty bad defense.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Ye. So I actually like Miami a lot.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
Yeah, I take Miami. They're playing well, Washington it's just
a complete mess cop.

Speaker 7 (01:00:02):
Yeah, by default, I'm gonna go with Miami. I've hated
Miami all year, but credit to them for you know,
having some fight. Washington's just way too banged up. I
can't trust Marcus Mariota to lead an offense without Terry
McLaurin and Chris Rodriguez at running back.

Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
Like, what are we doing here? I gotta go with Miami.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
By the way, the last quarterback in college to have
twenty five touchdowns and no interceptions before my man, Joe Phagnano.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Marcus mariold.

Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Here he won the Heisman Trophy for Oregon with Schip Yeah,
hell y, Mike, Yeah, I think Washington is old.

Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
I don't think they care anymore. I think they just
want to. They went to the NFC title game last year.
They ain't even get into the playoffs this year. You
gotta take Miami. And one thing I forgot to throw
in when we were doing the Eagles. Yeah, the Lions
are twelve and four ats in primetime games under Campbell.

Speaker 6 (01:00:59):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
Wow. I love Dad Campbell. He's one of my favorite coaches.
I love you. He loves the Eagles. He loves the
way the Eagles play because and the mind of them.
I mean that's kind of the model, you know, go
for it.

Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
And again, Sirianni was like that he hasn't been this
year really since Mike pointed out since they got that
break at the end of last year, and it's been
a formula.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
It has won a super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (01:01:23):
And if they win the game tomorrow night, they're probably
gonna be the favorite to win the super Bowl again.

Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
If they win, Kansas City will be the favorite.

Speaker 4 (01:01:30):
And they're still at their fifth loss then, and I
get it, I understand, But again, I think that I
think the Rams in the Seattle's are pretty good.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Yeah. One o'clock games.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
Uh, Atlanta out of minus three and a half against Carolina.

Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
The first game they played was thirty to nothing. Do
I remember Carolina? It?

Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
Two just teams. Good luck figuring either one of these
teams out, Kyle.

Speaker 7 (01:01:55):
Yeah, to your point, I don't know which Falcons team
I'm getting weekend and week out.

Speaker 5 (01:02:00):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
To that point, I'll go with the Divisional the Divisional
bounce back.

Speaker 7 (01:02:08):
With Atlanta getting just completely blown out by Carolina in
the first matchup, I'm gonna go with Atlanta at home.

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Here, I'm taking Carolina because I'll take the points. I
have absolutely no idea who's gonna win.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Mike, Atlanta's one and four as a favorite. That's not good.

Speaker 5 (01:02:21):
But that's not good.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
What's the line? Again three and a half.

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Can I change my my god, I want I want
to take Atlanta is so bad, but you don't like them,
you don't like I don't like either team, but you
know what, just to be an idiot, I'll go with Kyle.
I'll take Atlanta because an idiot revenge game.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Atlanta should win this game.

Speaker 5 (01:02:40):
Yeah, they should.

Speaker 4 (01:02:41):
They should.

Speaker 6 (01:02:41):
Bryce Shong is not that good.

Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
They also shouldn't have gotten blown out by thirty.

Speaker 6 (01:02:45):
They're blown out.

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
A few times, yes they have. They're very they're like
weird irritating. Yes, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:02:53):
I mean at least three of the four losses were
against you know, really good teams. San Francisco, New England, Indianapolis,
and County played close in those games. Carolina is not
anywhere close to Indianapolis New England, so at least they
played close. I think being at home really good bounce
back spot and that was Carolina's lost to New Orleans
was like, yeah, that was okay. They're five and they're

(01:03:15):
five and four, they're over five hundred, Like it's a
really great story.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
It's get the six bubble burst and like, yeah, there,
I've seen this happen. I don't see very many wins left.
I've seen this happen so many times.

Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
It's one of the great bets in sports, where you
get a team that's playing above, they're hit and now all.

Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Of a sudden they're supposed to win, and they never
do it. It's astonished. I remember that is a great
Yet it happens all the time.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
I was there's a Penn State hoops, which I do
and in fact I'm going down after this.

Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
They placed a doubleheader at the Hold. On a second,
let me get this name right.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
Exfinity Mobile Arena softy X Penn State against the Sound
and Trucks against Syracuse.

Speaker 1 (01:03:51):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
Penn State was playing at Northwestern is a long time okay, Northwestern,
which has starkly been terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:03:57):
They had like a four game winning streak, won a
couple of games on the road.

Speaker 4 (01:04:00):
I remember saying to Steve josh By, played by play guy, said,
all of a sudden, the heat is on these guys.
They have no idea how to handle it. They're supposed
to win. Betch State won by one hundred. It was
just I've seen it over and over again.

Speaker 7 (01:04:11):
Soa where Carolina was last Bryce Young is still not
God good.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Good game one o'clock the best of the one o'clock
games tomorrow, Minnesota at O minus three over the Bears,
who got Brian Dabole fired last week when they came
from nowhere to beat the Giants at Soldier Field. John
Vikings a field goal favorite over the Bears, and they're
really tough NFC North.

Speaker 8 (01:04:36):
Yeah, I'm actually gonna go with Minnesota. I'm gonna go
with Brian Flores's defense causing some havoc for Chicago and
Calei Williams has played good.

Speaker 6 (01:04:46):
I don't want this to be like the.

Speaker 5 (01:04:48):
Game where mc the opening game, McCarthy.

Speaker 8 (01:04:50):
Played that quarter and so this is like a little
bit of a spot. I think it would be great
and a great story of Chicago. You know, they bounce back,
they win this game on the road, and you know
things aren't getting better. They would be seven and three
at that point. But I just really feel like Brian
Flores's defense is going to match up well against them,
and Chicago's defense isn't all that good. They are still
relying on turnovers. This entire team is relying on turnovers,

(01:05:11):
and so I just I don't think it's a really
sustainable way to win. And maybe it could happen because
McCarthy has been turning the ball over bit. I still
I like Minnesota in this game, and most of it again,
it's just their defensive matchup.

Speaker 7 (01:05:23):
Yeah, I've been buying into Chicago all year. I think
they've turned the corner. I think they have figured out
how to win games, especially in close games. Unlike years pass,
JJ McCarthy is still the starting quarterback for Minnesota, so
for that reason, I'm going with Chicago.

Speaker 5 (01:05:40):
I think they do get a couple turnovers.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
So in my theory on this game would be just
what we talked about now Chicago, even though they're the dog,
all of a sudden, there's some expectations on the Bears
right and in Minnesota is basically eliminated from anything if
they lose the game.

Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
They're four and five the Bears. Both of these things
have played nine games.

Speaker 4 (01:05:57):
The Bears are being outscored by eight points even though
they're six and three. The Vikings are being outscored by
twelve points. I'm taking the Vikings minus three and I'm a.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Fan of the Bears. I like them, but I think
they're a bit of a fraud. Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
The Minnesota's won eight of the last nine meetings between
these two teams, and I know the Bears sometimes more good.
All five Chicago road games this year of going over
all five Viking games against teams winning records A going over,
So I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
Know what the overall.

Speaker 4 (01:06:26):
It means that a lot of who's winning the game,
who's covering the spread? What's What's I'm taking you over?

Speaker 8 (01:06:32):
What? What?

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
What?

Speaker 4 (01:06:33):
Is so hard to understand when I say that, I
don't say I'm taking the over and I'm taking Minnesota,
all right?

Speaker 1 (01:06:40):
What's the over? Forty eight and a half? Mike is
taking the over and he seemed definitive in that. I'm
just I'm just just numbers. You can ignore the numbers.
I'm just that's fine. But I'm just telling you that's
all right. Here we go.

Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
I'm glad I'm on this side of the table. Smith
part of the stacks.

Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
All good.

Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
In Pittsburgh tomorrow the doubleheader Notre Dame pitt Today, Steelers
Bengal Tomorrow, Steelers minus five and a half with Aaron Rodgers,
who looked like he was eighty in the last game
they played.

Speaker 6 (01:07:14):
I mean he looked old, old, like really old.

Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
Jez. Yeah, they're really old Mike will start with you.

Speaker 4 (01:07:20):
Okay, I'll give you an over again just for because
five straight Bengal games have going over.

Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
I believe that.

Speaker 6 (01:07:26):
Yeah, I was that.

Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
This is forty nine.

Speaker 6 (01:07:30):
What is the lining game?

Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
Five and a half?

Speaker 8 (01:07:32):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (01:07:33):
I'm gonna take the Bengals only on the theory they're
going to score. They're going to give up points too.
We've seen both. Yes, they are Pittsburgh irritated. They're another team.

Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
They're now a game ahead of Baltimore for the people
that have.

Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
Anybody that doesn't think bal anymore is going to win
that at nine and no, they're gonna be nine and
eight or ten and seven.

Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
I don't know if winning the division, they're winning the division. Yeah, yeah,
co Pittsburgh minus five and a half.

Speaker 7 (01:07:58):
I think I'm getting ready to sneak here, but I'll
try to get my pick in. No, no, no, I
think it pissed. It pissed.

Speaker 5 (01:08:06):
Yeah, yeah, I went away.

Speaker 7 (01:08:09):
I'm gonna go with Cincinnati as well, because yeah, they're
gonna score. Pittsburgh is just so boring to watch. Their
offense has absolutely nothing. Get the ball to DK Metcalf, please,
he's your only playmaker on offense. Rogers doesn't like to
look in his direction. Uh, you know, as well as
he should. I think Pittsburgh is just a stale team

(01:08:31):
all around. I'm gonna go with Cincinnati here.

Speaker 8 (01:08:34):
John Kyle sneezes past and so have the Steelers playoff chances.
They stink nice, like that was really good off their offense.
This isn't good enough, and a lot of it is
Aaron Rodgers getting older. And this is one of those
games where we haven't talked about Pittsburgh's defense in quite
a while. They haven't given up too many points, but
Pittsburgh's defense is still really bad. They're old, Yeah, they're old.

(01:08:57):
So I think this is one where Cincinnati gets thirty
and it's just they.

Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
Can't roll the ball. Yeah, yeah, they can't roll the ball.

Speaker 8 (01:09:03):
They're just Since Cincinnati at least has two incredibly great
wide receivers and a quarterback, this is good enough to
get it to them.

Speaker 4 (01:09:10):
I like, speaking of winning divisions, that just happened to
notice up there on this. I think Eagles are minus
to forty to win the division.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Already wanted to load up on it. It's already it's.

Speaker 3 (01:09:21):
Only minus two forty. Stealing money, right, it's already. Yeah,
I'm taking Joe Flack al we trust, and I don't
like Pittsburgh either, give me the five and a half.
I'm I'm with everybody else here, just Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (01:09:33):
I think the Bengals beat them in the first game.

Speaker 3 (01:09:35):
They came back or something I don't recall, and Joe
Burrow is back practicing for the people.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:09:41):
Such thanks, And they're just trying to stay alive in
that division. And because everybody's been so bad, they're kind
of those two.

Speaker 4 (01:09:47):
Games they just lost, they would be right there.

Speaker 7 (01:09:50):
Yeah, Cincinnati won thirty one, just provers. What was it
called thirty three thirty one the first matchup, right Flacco?
Flacco went off.

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Yeah, cincin nineties three and six. Pittsburgh's five and four.
So if they win the game two games, but they
should have, they should be No, I got it.

Speaker 5 (01:10:09):
Yeah, both quarterbacks are combined one hundred and fifty years old.

Speaker 1 (01:10:12):
Yeah, but one guy. They've given up three hundred points
a nine games. That's hard to do. Yeah, that's better
than thirty a game if my math is correct.

Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
Yes, I believe it is.

Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
Green Back minus seven was minus eight and a half
at bet Parks at the Meadowlands against the did Mike
Kopka is now the coach, former Eagles.

Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
Backup quarterback back at the day. I believe against the Giants,
I got one.

Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
God, Jordan Love is zero to seven as a road
favorite of more than three, So what is what is
the line set?

Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
Okay, just throwing that out there and the other one
will Giants have been competitive.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):
They have not winning since No Jackson since twenty twenty
teams that have changed coaches during the season.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
In the first scheme, they're ten and five covering. Look
at Mike Kurrent with all these numbers.

Speaker 4 (01:11:04):
So I'm taking the Jints, even though I don't like
the quarterbacks throw three and he'll then throw three to
the other.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
Team, So yeah, I can't better. I'm just Winston against
this defense. I'll take Green Bay Minuster. I don't care
about any of your numbers.

Speaker 8 (01:11:20):
I just like the Jamis, especially like jamis nothing to
lose one, He's just gonna let it rip.

Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
I love that.

Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
And six picks.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Yes, there is going to be times and he's probably
gonna throw picks.

Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:11:33):
You look at it and go, that is wild that
you just threw that.

Speaker 6 (01:11:36):
Still, Yes, I mean yes, like I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:11:43):
I actually think Jamis can put up some points here
enough to keep it within the seventh Giants.

Speaker 7 (01:11:47):
I'm taking the Giants, right trust, I'm going with Green Bay.
Jamis is gonna throw six picks for like four hundred
yards though, and like maybe a few touchdowns. I mean
is getting their rookie wide receiver back, so that's somebody
to throw. So they also use him in the in
the running game as well. I think Josh Jacobs goes wild.

(01:12:09):
Uh gimme green Bay.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Houston on the road. Houston was minus seven at Tennessee.
Now minus six. Tennessee is still with a one win,
which knocked me out of the I hate the AF
not that I'm bitter at all. You're gonna love the
number the Titans, and I don't understand this at all.
You're eight one and one ats following a buy now

(01:12:33):
that goes back ten years, so it doesn't have like
Dick says all the time, how can.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
The Titans like six coaches? How can the Titans be
eight one and one in any category? Used to be good?

Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
When well, that's true, he had a good come back,
like Jeff Fisher.

Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
What's the line on this game?

Speaker 4 (01:12:48):
Let's come back because I hate Houston. I know another
team that I justin. I hate the entire division. Davis
Mills still around performance last week?

Speaker 5 (01:12:59):
Yeahdavis Mills story concussion.

Speaker 4 (01:13:03):
Who's the quarterback when the Titans that ward? You know what, No,
I'll take the Titans. I'll take Houston.

Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
I don't blame you. Yeah, just pathetic.

Speaker 8 (01:13:15):
And it's just like David Millson's seconds are pathetic. I
don't know how much.

Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
And the thing is.

Speaker 8 (01:13:23):
So the one the one unit in this game that's
actually elite. Houston might actually like not talked about enough.
They have the best defense in the league. It is
the best defense. Tennessee's changed.

Speaker 6 (01:13:35):
I'm changing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:37):
You imagine people are paying real care about the numbers.
Thirty people are paying real money to go to these games.

Speaker 8 (01:13:45):
You know what I.

Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Was in Nashville this week. We went to the stadium. Yeah, no,
I was helping my friend move some stuff. It's a
long story, but there was the stadium. We walked down Broad.

Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Yeah, right into downtown area, right across the river. It's
like a little river that I'm walking across the bridge. John,
do you out to any places you took Houston? Kyle,
what are you doing you don't want you wouldn't know
part I'll take. I'll take Tennessee. Did you go down
to Honky twn Tennessee plus six?

Speaker 3 (01:14:21):
Well, yes, So you don't think Houston is gonna score
seven because Tennessee is.

Speaker 1 (01:14:26):
Not gonna score.

Speaker 6 (01:14:28):
Three.

Speaker 5 (01:14:28):
Nothing.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
There we go John's former favorite team. I think l
A Chargers minus three at Jacksonville, which was.

Speaker 6 (01:14:38):
I mean, has been presented with how do you come back? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:14:41):
How do you come back from that? Both these teams
can still make the playoffs?

Speaker 12 (01:14:44):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:14:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
Oh yeah, Chargers, Chargers, Yeah, Chargers Jacksonville. There they're on
the ropes.

Speaker 4 (01:14:52):
I'll take Chargers, Monastery, Mike, you know what I'm just
for John. I'm gonna take Jacksonville. I I don't believe it,
but I'll take Jacksonville. Jacksonville is like two games out
of first, two and a half out of first. Behind it,
they're five and four. I don't trust them at all.
I trust I trust hard ball, but just to be different,
Chargers are seven and give johnson support good Year.

Speaker 8 (01:15:16):
I would love to take Jacksonville, but even you are
unbelievably hurt, Brian Thomas. Their offensive line has been about
as bad as you can get in the last four
games and their defense gives up way too many big plays.

Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
It changed my pick. Yeah, I'm all over l A.
There's like ten games I literally.

Speaker 8 (01:15:38):
Like and I hate like I will say, I don't
think Trevor Larnce. I think Tremor Larnens been mad this year.
He's been okay and like at times like bad. But yeah,
last week was not anywhere close to being on him.

Speaker 1 (01:15:51):
And it was wild.

Speaker 8 (01:15:52):
That was put They put up twenty nine points against
the work like. There were some helping special teams all that,
but still they scored twenty nine points the game again
him very well do that, Oh not at all, but
like they had they were injured as heck on offense
and they had no weapons.

Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
They put up twenty nine points. Win. You win that
game against the best defense in all of football. You
win that game. It's not but either way, they're so injured.
Davis Mills carves you off.

Speaker 8 (01:16:15):
Davis Mills had so much time to throw its ridiculous,
said he was one of the legends.

Speaker 5 (01:16:21):
Twenty six points.

Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
If you can't Jackson Jacksonville was.

Speaker 8 (01:16:28):
Two great pass rushers, josh Allen Hines and Trayvon Walker,
and they are not getting to the quarterback at all.

Speaker 4 (01:16:34):
You're like, which never good about sports betting is when
you're on the wrong end.

Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
Kyle, I gotta go with the Chargers. Jacksonville's just too
banged up.

Speaker 7 (01:16:45):
But I think Brian Thomas is back this week, but
he still has that ankle injury, and we all know
hundred stuff to talk.

Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
We had to take it Jacksonville, Jacksonville.

Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
That's not hard to do.

Speaker 4 (01:16:55):
Final o'clock game before we get to a break. The
Chargers playing one that's ten o'clock West Coast. That's right, Man,
get your numbers. Oh god, I can abuse the numbers
of guy.

Speaker 1 (01:17:05):
That would be great. Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
Buffalo at a minus five and a half over Tampa Bay.
Buffalo is just dreadful.

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
Last week.

Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
Tampa Bay still leads the hideous NFC South. They're gonna
win the NFC.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Yeah, they're they're all beat up. Uh, John will start
with you, Bills minus five and a half. Bills are
starting to get on my.

Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
Like goods, they're getting on nerves. Yes, they're not that good.
They're really outside of Josh. They they were good two
weeks ago when he beat Kansas City, and.

Speaker 8 (01:17:36):
Then they were good and they were good because Josh Allen.
But Tampa Bay is really banged up, which does not help.
And it's gonna be cold. I think this is a
bit of a bit of close game Less keeps them close, big,
bigger does. It's just that even the last game you
kind of see that. It's it's really tough for this
offense to do much without Bucky Irving, without Chris Godwin.

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
No, I don't think so he might not be back
at old or not sure. I'm not. I'm going Buffalo.
Nobody talks about Evans. He's a big yeah, part of
that team, huge, a huge, huge part of that team.

Speaker 8 (01:18:14):
Running back, yes, and him being out much longer than
anticipated is not not good.

Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
Make game cat.

Speaker 8 (01:18:22):
The thing about Buffalo is if you can run the ball, Buffalo, Like,
if Buffalo can run the ball, their offense works really well.

Speaker 4 (01:18:27):
And I think you can run against Tampa Bay. So
quarterbacks obviously the most cook is like cooks and last
week he did nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
Yeah against the legends that are the Miami Dolphins. Thought
on this content, Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:18:39):
I think five and a half a year of the stadium, Yeah,
that's I think five and a half is a little
too steep here I like Tampa Bay not to win,
but to cover the five and a half because I
think Baker is gonna keep.

Speaker 5 (01:18:51):
It Tampa Bay, Bucky Evans.

Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
Tampa Bay has not won a game when it's under
forty degrees since they beat the Eagles at the bat.
I'm just making that up, Okay, they never had until
they knocked the Eagles out of the Super Bowl. With
dot on the yab of that crowd.

Speaker 6 (01:19:05):
I'll tak he's still running.

Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
Yeah, I'll take Tampa Bay plus five and a half,
but I have the bucks of covers sixth Street, yes, sir,
wow after a loss Wall and thirteen and four under
Mayfield in that situation, so for no other sin see,
I can see this though. The Buffalo looks so badlyss Yeah, yeah,
that they could just come out and can't be that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:24):
You know what did you take?

Speaker 6 (01:19:25):
Buffalo?

Speaker 1 (01:19:26):
Who took Buffet? I'll go with John just to make
it too ye.

Speaker 3 (01:19:30):

Speaker 1 (01:22:08):
Max Kepler?

Speaker 3 (01:22:09):
I kept confutame, So Mike is not the only one
with malaprops around here.

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
We can all get it done. Four oh five really
one of the games.

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Of the year so far at Sofi Stadium in La
Rams minus three against Seattle for supremacy in the NFC West.

Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
Johnny, let's start with you on this one. This is
a really really good game. Yeah, this is maybe the
best game of the season.

Speaker 8 (01:22:39):
Like, it's just the matchup both team seven and two,
right the circumstance the division is on the line, the
way these two teams play, it's just like really two
really smart coaches. It seems like now McVeigh, obviously we
know McDaniel might be really good in Clinton Kubiak, who might.

Speaker 1 (01:22:56):
Be up for an NFL head coaching job after this season.
You can you awesome that these.

Speaker 4 (01:23:00):
Two quarterbacks if you want to throw the guy from
New England in and I'm probably somebody out are the
best right now?

Speaker 1 (01:23:07):
Ye playing right now? Playing? Yeah, I.

Speaker 5 (01:23:11):
Say I throw Jared goff in there a little bit.

Speaker 8 (01:23:12):
But Matthew Stafford and uh Sam Darna have been awesome
and it's two really great wide receiver groups. Uh Jackson
Smith and Jigba has been amazing, maybe one of the
best wide receivers. So like everything works out really well.
I just want to take as many points as I
can get in a game like this. So if it's
over three, if this was like three or two and
a half, I would think about the rams. But Seattle's

(01:23:33):
getting three and a half, so that half a point
means everything to me.

Speaker 1 (01:23:36):
That's all I want to take.

Speaker 6 (01:23:37):
Yeah, I agree with basically what John said.

Speaker 4 (01:23:40):
I don't have any I mean, this could obviously factor
into who gets the number one seed maybe if theegle,
especially if Theagles lose. I just think the only thing
people have against Seattle is Donald because of how yes
you're in it, I understand, but people just dismiss I
think that's so unfair. First of all, their coach and
their coach by the way, has a great road record.

Speaker 1 (01:24:02):
They Seattle plays really well on the road.

Speaker 6 (01:24:04):
They're not that great, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
Mike McDonald, who was the former defensive coordinator for the Ravens,
had that great defense.

Speaker 4 (01:24:12):
But they have they have really been good. I'm going
to do what John did. Either team could win this game.
I'll take the three and a half points three. Oh okay, well, bet.

Speaker 1 (01:24:21):
Park has changed any No, it's three and again three
and a.

Speaker 4 (01:24:26):
Half, and we we do not get this game in
Philadelphia because we're getting the Chiefs Broncos.

Speaker 1 (01:24:31):
I would rather see the Rams Seattle, but that's me.

Speaker 7 (01:24:36):
Yeah, I I think the Rams still do have the
slight edge here. I like the quarterback in l a
better not no knock to donald, but Matt Stafford's been
playing his historically. We got a bad back, got a
bad bad I don't think that's gonna stop them. I
think they have the edge at the receiving corps, they
have the edge of defense. Two great teams. Still, I

(01:24:57):
think the edge leans in LA's favor and so several aspects.
I'm gonna go with the Rams here.

Speaker 4 (01:25:01):
Minus which great Ohio State receiver does Seattle have? Jackson Jacksons.

Speaker 5 (01:25:06):
Yeah, they just traded for Yeah. He was a great
downfield threat.

Speaker 1 (01:25:10):
Yeah. Well the guy in Seattle might be having the
best year of any wide receiver. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:25:14):
Yes, that's one of the most efficient years by wide
receiver so far.

Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
He's been great. And what do we say about Adams.
He's not playing. He was He's got like a hammy
or something.

Speaker 4 (01:25:24):
But he might play. But he injured scoring a touchdown
last week, and that you know he has. I want
to say, the six touchdowns this year, and they've all
been within ten.

Speaker 6 (01:25:33):
Yards of the goal line.

Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
Red zone passing. Yeah, normally that's hard. Apparently not for Matthew.

Speaker 8 (01:25:38):
But when you have such a precise runner and a
precise thrower, it's lethal combination of.

Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
This to me, this is that the line is the
right line. Hard game.

Speaker 4 (01:25:47):
Uh, really should be fun to watch. I'll take the
Rams minus three on the Matthew Stafford. But you would
think there's more pressure on the Rams here, right, and
they need to be at home, right, You don't want
to lose a home game. I don't know if that
haven't played in Seattle yet, have they I don't believe so.
I think they played late, like the next list week
or something.

Speaker 8 (01:26:05):
That Matthew Stafford is just so unbelievably fun to watch.
Just I can't I just can't wait that.

Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
Trade work out completely out of control out for the Lions.
Want Stafford, want to again Stafford.

Speaker 8 (01:26:19):
I say this a lot, and maybe because so many
years of Detroit we don't talk about it. He's like
climbing up an all time list for me, like he
is getting there. I think some of the best quarterbacks going.

Speaker 1 (01:26:29):
He's definitely.

Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
And you could make the case that the Lions might,
you might. I think the team you don't want to
play the Rams, the Rams. It was just a block
field goal, like Ram Rams won that game and won
the game last year. Yes, oh yes, but never beaten.
It's always been funky. They lose.

Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
Yeah, they the game in l A. The game in
l A. They just pound.

Speaker 8 (01:26:54):
Yes, Barkley went, but it was different. They the Rams,
to me, were the better team earlier this year. And
you know that that that is scary, Like, okay, you
got buying that game, but the Rams improved.

Speaker 6 (01:27:08):
Wins.

Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
Yes, that is the big Yeah, that is the other
big game.

Speaker 4 (01:27:12):
Uh, late game in Denver, Kansas City minus four and
you can get it up to eight.

Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
And this is fascinating to me. I mean, I know
why Kansas City's favorite. It's a good line because it
hasn't moved all week. Denver's eight and two, Kansas City's
five and four. If Kansas City does lose this game,
they're probably out.

Speaker 1 (01:27:34):
They're not in the playoffs right now.

Speaker 3 (01:27:36):
I get, I get, but there's still people and their
schedule is not like real really, all of a sudden,
their division got a lot harder, right, I mean teams actually,
well they will.

Speaker 4 (01:27:44):
They can't win the division if they lose this game.
I don't think Denver. Denver really good at home. Uh
don't love their offense. Defense is tremendous. There's another quarterback
I don't trust. Yeah, boot Nicks bothers me. Quarterback mismatch.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
Also, Kansas City off of buye.

Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
We'll start with you. Kansas City giving four.

Speaker 6 (01:28:07):
It's up to four yep, oh gosh yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:28:10):
Initially I take a look at it and I think
forced too much for divisional game like this. But Kansas
City's off of bye. Their backs are against the wall again,
sitting at five and four. I think this is just
a Patrick Mahomes game. I think he they make a
statement that they're still relevant in the AFC and they
come out on top of Denver.

Speaker 1 (01:28:32):
John.

Speaker 8 (01:28:33):
I hate that I'm doing this because I think Bonnicks
is legitimately terrible. He misses so many He is terrible
Sean Payton, and you can manufacture offense with it, so
his numbers look good. Defense, their defense is phenomenal, and
that's why I'm going with them. I like the The

(01:28:53):
only problem I have is is their offense gonna do
anything on Denver because Bonis is just again misses so
many easy throws. But I'm gonna go with Denver's defense.
I'm gonna go with them at home and just hold
my breath that Bonix doesn't stink it up too much.

Speaker 1 (01:29:07):
Mike, I'm exactly with John.

Speaker 4 (01:29:10):
I take Kansas City almost all the time because that's
just me, and this is begging you to take Kansas City, Okay,
But I'm gonna take Denver getting the four, thinking it's
gonna be a close game. I just don't like the
quarterback matchup whatsoever. I just think Denver's defense could hold
case Seed to like twenty one twenty like absolutely, and

(01:29:32):
Denver could score.

Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
So what's the over undercro forty four?

Speaker 6 (01:29:35):
And a half.

Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
Yeah, that sounds but both good numbers.

Speaker 6 (01:29:37):
I mean so yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29:38):
So Broncos.

Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
Beat the Jets thirteen to eleven, and in London on
October the twelfth beat the Giants thirty three thirty two
and or could have easily lost that. Oh absolutely crust
the Cowboys doing the Cowboys to stay beat Detexans in
Houston eighteen to fifty and the last and they have
a mini fives ten to seven at home against the Raiders.

Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
That's an embarrass but what is the win.

Speaker 4 (01:30:10):
And they came to Philadelphia. Yeah, give them all the
credit in the world. They were won seventeen to three.

Speaker 1 (01:30:14):
And came back and one.

Speaker 3 (01:30:16):
That's the game before the Jets game. Yes, in London. Yeah,
Kansas City has to win, man, they have to they
have to. Man, I'm giving the four rush. I'll take
Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (01:30:26):
I'm telling you.

Speaker 4 (01:30:26):
If Kansas City does not win this game, they're not
winning the They got missing the playoffs very much.

Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
So, I mean then they'd be in like win every game.

Speaker 7 (01:30:34):
Bo.

Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
You start to get six and seven losses in the AFC,
you got.

Speaker 4 (01:30:38):
And I keep hearing this thing, and I'm the biggest
Kansas City person because of everything they've done. Sure, but
I keep hearing this wall. You know, if they just
get to the playoffs, who wants to play that? This
isn't the Kansas City. And I know their offense has
gotten better now because they got some guys that can
actually play wide receiver. There's still questions about this, and
I still think they rely too much on fifteen.

Speaker 1 (01:30:57):
And maybe the Eagles exposed something about that. I don't
think they were that good last year. They they were
not good at all, but they won fifteen games.

Speaker 6 (01:31:06):
I guess they won every game it was.

Speaker 1 (01:31:07):
They were fifteen straight one score games.

Speaker 4 (01:31:10):
I mean they were nine to o I believe, and
this year I think they're, oh, four one score game.

Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
You can't do that, but the Eagles had the.

Speaker 6 (01:31:16):
Formula to beat them.

Speaker 1 (01:31:17):
They did. They killed him overwhelmingly. They killed him on
the defensive line. That's where they killed me. You know.

Speaker 3 (01:31:24):
Also, late San Francisco minus three at Arizona, brock Perty
returned for the forty nine ers. John, Yeah, should he
have returned, I don't know, but he's I don't know
they're asking that question.

Speaker 8 (01:31:39):
Yeah, it's crazy because I would have never asked that.
But Mac Jones, it just fits what yeah, oh yeah,
oh yeah, yeah. But Mac Jones fits it really well,
and we thought so in the draft when he was
coming out, and they ended up drafting Trey Lance, which
is just a complete miss. So yeah, I'm I'm going
San Francisco whenever. When you have christ McCaffrey, your flour

(01:32:01):
on offense is still very high.

Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Francisco was still alive. They're six and four.

Speaker 4 (01:32:06):
Yeah, Arizona done with cards have played fairly well, right
with the bubble burst last week?

Speaker 7 (01:32:13):
Yeah no, sure, yeah, no, Marvin Harrison. This week they
got crushed and shat, I don't think any good.

Speaker 1 (01:32:20):
I'm with you.

Speaker 6 (01:32:21):
I'll take seances.

Speaker 4 (01:32:22):
I'm going to take the Niners. But just the cards
are nine and two and their last eleven his dogs.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Against the spread. Yeah, well they did.

Speaker 4 (01:32:31):
Win, they didn't win it, but yeah, I mean, I mean,
he loves these historical numbers.

Speaker 1 (01:32:39):
I love that. I'm just saying there, historical. He's in
the last year.

Speaker 5 (01:32:43):
Mike Curtain has always been a big analytics.

Speaker 4 (01:32:45):
I know you say it, they don't matter, and I
get one, but at some point one and one coming
out of the bye for a team with seven different coaches.

Speaker 6 (01:32:52):
But Somerty Sports some point trend for a reason.

Speaker 4 (01:32:58):
I'm just yeah, I know, But think about this real quick.
Did the Niners take Trey Lance with the third pick?
I believe they traded.

Speaker 1 (01:33:06):
Up the game.

Speaker 4 (01:33:06):
What did they take party for the last which one
was worse? I mean, like, what did they get for
trade lamps? Did they cut them or do they.

Speaker 5 (01:33:19):
Great trade for Dallas?

Speaker 7 (01:33:21):
Yeah, I honestly thought this line would be a little
bit more in the Niners direction. Again, Jacoby Brissette, it's
not that great.

Speaker 6 (01:33:30):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (01:33:31):
And they're missing Marvin Harrison, they got injuries in the backfield.

Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
They've been missing more of an all year. Yeah, they
just don't get them the ball, that is correct. Yeah,
So I'm gonna ride the Niners here. I think the
line should be more.

Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
I like them.

Speaker 4 (01:33:46):
One thing I would say especially, I say this Division
games are weird, or they can be weird because we
don't see them the same way when we're like looking
at them, like if Cleveland's playing Cincinnati Baltimore tomorrow and
they can just look at him sometimes totally different ways.
Baltimore started minus eight and a half at Cleveland in

(01:34:09):
a late game.

Speaker 3 (01:34:10):
Now it's minus seven and a half. The Ravens by
the time they play. If Cincinnati beats Pittsburgh, they win
the game, they're tied for the top of the NFC.

Speaker 4 (01:34:20):
Nor uh after starting the season one and whatever the
hell it was one in five, it wasn't good. Another
four and five chance to get back to five hundred.
Cleveland Dylan gabriel is Stova quarterback.

Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
John he stinks.

Speaker 4 (01:34:35):
John said that if the door can't beat him.

Speaker 1 (01:34:40):
Out, I even really, even if he can't beat him out,
you at least got to see. Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
I don't maybe I don't read Cleveland papers, but I'd
love to know the backstory of how this is played out,
because if you just say pure talent, Sanders is clearly but.

Speaker 4 (01:34:56):
John says, even if he's not from him out there
for a game or two, anybody you can Dylan gabra out.

Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
I'm not seeing the practice. What is going on. This
is backlash. There's something that should do.

Speaker 4 (01:35:11):
Whether he acted like an idiot, which I could certainly
see because whatever, but there's something.

Speaker 1 (01:35:17):
There that is keeping Cleveland from putting this guy on
the there definitely is.

Speaker 9 (01:35:23):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
So what do we think of John start Ravens giving
seven point five points?

Speaker 8 (01:35:28):
So you answered the one question I had, is Dylan
Gabriel the starting court?

Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
I believe he is. I'm taking Baltimore pretty simple.

Speaker 7 (01:35:36):
Kyle, Yeah, same philosophy I had last week when Baltimore
went to Minnesota. Lamar Jackson in that starting lineup, their
top team in the a f C. Their defense is
kind of righted, you know, right of the ship. I
love the seven and a half here.

Speaker 1 (01:35:51):
Yeah, look, Cleveland has one great player.

Speaker 3 (01:35:53):
I mean he's great, and he's still in Gabriel, Miles
Garrett's awesome, but he can't Their defense is good, Yeah,
he can't win games. At some point they are going
to just collapse and Ravens are just better. And you know,
went down take better team. Don't like even seven and
a half. But I'll do it anyway, Mike.

Speaker 4 (01:36:09):
I'll just be the idiot. I'll take for no reason.
I will take the division game. I hate Dylan Greeble,
I hate and and.

Speaker 6 (01:36:17):
I hate him.

Speaker 1 (01:36:17):
I mean, I don't know him. Do you actually know
when they took him? When they took these guys, I'm
sitting there like, what do you do? Paying attention to
the take exactly?

Speaker 6 (01:36:29):
The only good draft they ever had was when Kevin Costner.

Speaker 1 (01:36:31):
Was the GM Kevin cost in the movie, Oh yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:36:36):
He was great.

Speaker 4 (01:36:37):
You had moved up and down the draft. Bo I
think it was because Joe Callahan he found out it
was a bit. I think Jennifer Gorner was making those picks. Yeah,
is anybody Draft Day? Is that the name of think
about this? And then the Browns have never been a
great but they've had moments where they were okay or whatever.
They they made the playoffs with Flacco a couple of years,

(01:37:00):
gonna get rid of him, and when they signed Seawan, Yeah,
that's it.

Speaker 8 (01:37:05):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (01:37:06):
That was just not is he coming back this year?
What do we know? Who cares? If he's coming back
and he's the one that he gets the last laugh.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
I'm gonna We're gonna do one more game and then
I want to Mike Ram been saving us all day.
Monday Night football, God, Dallas minus three and a half.

Speaker 1 (01:37:28):
I go on Vegas, Uh go ahead, Cowboys are five.

Speaker 4 (01:37:32):
The Cowboy games are going five and one to be
over in their last six man, what the Raiders? The
Raiders scored seven points last week. Dallas' defense not good?
What's the over on the.

Speaker 3 (01:37:43):
Cow It's fifty half a hundred this game, Mike, you
gotta pick teams.

Speaker 1 (01:37:52):
Think this game's at Dallas are at Vegas. You know
what Dallas could be like the guys could be spending
a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:37:58):
Of time Roulette, and that quarterback thinks, God, Pete Carroll
what three and a half?

Speaker 1 (01:38:06):
Three and a got al mighty? I'll take the Raiders.

Speaker 8 (01:38:12):
So what's his work? Dallas's defense, offense? And I might
have to say it could be the Raiders offense.

Speaker 1 (01:38:22):
Take brock Bauers to get like twelve. Oh yeah, Dallas,
what a great, amazing And you.

Speaker 4 (01:38:29):
Guys, at least your guy on Penn State's playing for
a good team. He's having a really good year.

Speaker 1 (01:38:34):
So yeah, I'm going Dallas. I don't blame you. I
would too. Uh Yeah, I think Dallas' offense is too
good in this situation not to go with. And I
think as bad as Dallas's defense is Gino Smith, it's
good for a pick or two.

Speaker 4 (01:38:53):
But Dallas' offense is better at home. Yeah, but that's okay,
that's okay. Like Johnson the Raiders. Yeah, hey, by the way,
second straight week.

Speaker 1 (01:39:02):
For the Raiders prime time? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:39:04):
Why?

Speaker 1 (01:39:05):
Like why the Thursday night football now Monday Night Football,
Pete Carroll sells, h Yeah, Caroll, I refuse to pick
the skin.

Speaker 4 (01:39:15):
I don't blame you. I don't blame Mike. We had
a couple of minutes left, like seven minutes left.

Speaker 1 (01:39:21):
There's not enough time. No Aj Browne your thoughts. Look,
we went through this last year.

Speaker 4 (01:39:31):
He came out in the first week in December last
year and they said, what's wrong with the offense? He
goes passing game and then Brandon Graham had to go
on some radio show and whatever, and they won the
Super Bowl and the following week.

Speaker 1 (01:39:45):
I think Diagles thrive on this crap.

Speaker 6 (01:39:46):
I really do.

Speaker 4 (01:39:47):
And I get where AJ's coming from. He's absolutely right,
he's and he sees his legacy. This is his prime years.
He's fiftieth in the NFL in receivers. He wants to
go to the Hall of Fame, he wants to put
up numbers. He wants to and he might not be
an Eagle next year. They might just say. But for
right now, I don't think he's not saying anything publicly.

(01:40:08):
At least I don't think so that he's not saying
in the locker room, because if I think if he was,
then I.

Speaker 1 (01:40:13):
Think there would be some problem.

Speaker 4 (01:40:14):
Then Lane Johnson three weeks ago, four weeks ago say
our offense is too predictable.

Speaker 1 (01:40:18):
Yeah, well okay, but it was Lane Johnson.

Speaker 4 (01:40:21):
So nobody you know, Aj is a wide receiver, they're
all d He just wants the ball. And look, if
I'm Aj Brown and I'm not saying the way he
went about it was the because there's always the things
he made at the quarterback okay, as he made at
the offensive quarriers he made at Syrien. If I'm him
and I just saw a game where we scored ten
points and I got two catches for eleven yards and one.

Speaker 1 (01:40:43):
I'd be upset.

Speaker 4 (01:40:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:40:45):
I took his bigger point as look, yes we're winning,
but we can't win this way.

Speaker 1 (01:40:52):
I don't care. You forget. Other people took it as
it's all about him, and I get it, and I
don't think I'm taking it that way.

Speaker 6 (01:40:57):
What are you?

Speaker 1 (01:40:58):
How are you taking this?

Speaker 8 (01:40:59):
You can't go on a Twitch stream and do It's like,
I think I will give him credit because what I
didn't like about it initially, and like all this stuff
that keeps happening is he'll say these things you know,
outside of you know, postgame press conferences or in the locker,
whatever it is, and put it online and put it
somewhere else, like, dude, if you have something to say,
just say it. And finally he said it like a

(01:41:21):
just laid it all out there. But why did it
have to take this for you to do it? And
that's the frustrating part. It's like, dude, if you have
something to say, just say it out loud, because all
it's gonna do is people are gonna keep talking about
it until you finally say it.

Speaker 1 (01:41:33):
Yeah, well we did, and everybody's just like fine, that's it. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
One of the fascinating parts about the Eagles, so the Rams.
The Rams game, they're getting killed right in the first half,
they look like they're gonna get lose one hundred. And
then in the second half, when the Rams know they
have to throw, they throw the ball, run up and
down the field. So that that's the frustrating part. You
know they have it in them. But again, I'll go
back to what I said at the beginning.

Speaker 4 (01:41:54):
I think they coach and play each game as the
game is being played, and maybe they were planning to
do X, and then they do why And that's a
hard thing. To do in life when you have a
plan and you go, you know what a better plan
would be this, and so far it's working well. It
ultimately worked to win a super Bowl possibly, but look

(01:42:14):
in the super Bowl, in the NFC Championship game, they
put up almost one hundred points, so.

Speaker 5 (01:42:20):
They fully capable.

Speaker 1 (01:42:21):
And that's where Brown's frustration is. He knows how good
this could be. So we'll see. I didn't have a
problem with anything. No, I think everything you said was
completely accurate. It's just I think, and again he probably
is saying it in the locker room, but really pushed
to make that change rather than you know, having this
headache out in public.

Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
I don't think it does anybody any good.

Speaker 4 (01:42:41):
I mean, there was a game this year I think
where Saquon carried league eight times yep or whatever. It's
when they won the super Bowl last year. They didn't
win because of their passing game. No, they scored seven
rushing touchdowns against the against the Commanders, Okay, the super
Bowl was won.

Speaker 1 (01:42:56):
They threw for two hundred and twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:42:58):
Yards I think because the defense and scored fourteen points
in a minute.

Speaker 1 (01:43:02):
Okay, so it wasn't like they turned.

Speaker 4 (01:43:04):
The Jets on last year the Rams they beat Cosaquan
had those two long touchdown runs.

Speaker 1 (01:43:10):
So these people are like, well they did throw the ball. No,
they didn't. They and they're winning.

Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
They threw enough, they've won. How many were we now
twenty two or last twenty four games or twenty You
can't argue with that.

Speaker 7 (01:43:24):
And I know it looks and I know Aj Brown personally,
I would be in Patullo's office being like, they lose
in the proc gets this route running plays that are
just terrible, that concurribly hate coach.

Speaker 4 (01:43:35):
They hey, coach, just like the guy in Detroit yes
week said, hey, I don't like the way our offenses.

Speaker 6 (01:43:40):
We ain't getting the ball to Jamison ain't whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:43:42):
You do, what you do. But you can't argue with success.

Speaker 6 (01:43:46):
You just can't.

Speaker 4 (01:43:47):
And again, if they lose in the playoffs and it's
because they didn't throwing off, people are gonna kill them.

Speaker 3 (01:43:54):
To Mike's point, the last this is insane. Actually the
last nineteen games Allen Hurts has finished.

Speaker 10 (01:44:02):
Nineteen and two, twenty one games nineteen and two that
he's finished, is it more natic? Because they were listening
they were two and two right then they finished the
season fourteen and three, right, twelve and zero for hurts,
but he didn't finish the one game well, right, this
year seven and two, nineteen and.

Speaker 1 (01:44:20):
Two, okay, okay, yeah, but that's the thing.

Speaker 5 (01:44:23):
It's like, as honest.

Speaker 3 (01:44:24):
Second, I'm actually it's twenty two and two when you
get the playoff game, twenty two and so.

Speaker 1 (01:44:28):
They got well what was it and it was just
two this year. They didn't lose any last year.

Speaker 4 (01:44:32):
Erect right, so twenty two and two in games argus,
But people were arguing about this.

Speaker 5 (01:44:36):
I don't know that that's ever happened. Well, that's what
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (01:44:39):
Us as fans should not be arguing this because we're
seeing what we need to see, which just wins.

Speaker 6 (01:44:43):
Aj Brown.

Speaker 7 (01:44:44):
I understand he wants to be a main contribution to
them winning, which I understand.

Speaker 4 (01:44:50):
It was the last time the Eagles went twenty two
and two. Never never, So and I see I hear
the same thing about the coach. Look, does the girls
have a lot of talent?

Speaker 1 (01:44:58):
Yeah? Does the Rams coach have a lot of talent? Yeah?
Does Randy Weed have a lot of talent? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:45:02):
All good teams have a lot of talent. Andy Reid, Randy,
I thought you said, but I'm just saying every good
coach did I miss tons of talent? Good point, but somehow,
Siri and you can't coach.

Speaker 1 (01:45:15):
Twenty two and two.

Speaker 5 (01:45:16):
Fike's point blow up.

Speaker 4 (01:45:17):
That's the bottom line. Twenty two and if they lose
into playoffs, they're all bad around. Has three catches firemall blow.
I'll tell you, I don't think he's back next year.

Speaker 1 (01:45:27):
I don't.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
