Brad Powel (00:03):
here's my number one
business growth prediction for
the new year.
Okay, but first, I admit I amnot a futurist.
I don't really know what'sgoing to happen, but after doing
this show and after so manyinterviews with really smart
people, and after working withall the clients that I've been
(00:24):
working with, I've learned a lotabout what's working and what's
not working, and how you canstand apart from the crowd, and
there's one thing that I'msuggesting that you lean in on
in the coming year.
This one thing could make allthe difference in how easily you
can attract and convert newclients, clients that are
(00:45):
exactly the right fit, and it'ssomething that you can do
without adding anything to whatyou're already doing.
Sound good.
So stay tuned, because that'swhat I'm talking about today, to
help bring in a new year.
Welcome to the Standout BusinessShow, where it's all about
(01:07):
making a bigger difference bydoing business differently.
I'm Brad Powell, your StandoutBusiness Coach, and today,
here's the mega trend that Iwant to talk about.
There is huge momentum towardsbeing authentic, and that is
showing up as a human being.
More than ever, people knowthat they want to do business
(01:33):
with people, and the question iswell, how do you do that?
How do you get there?
If you're a coach or aconsultant, how do you present
yourself as a regular human andavoid all the different traps of
showing up in a more corporate,business-y type of way?
Well, I'm going to give youpart of the answer in today's
(01:53):
episode, but if you want to godeeper, then I'm also doing a
special masterclass called theCoaching as Marketing Blueprint,
and this is going to be onJanuary 23rd and 24th.
It's a live virtual trainingthat will help you turn your
coaching into your most powerfulmarketing tool.
(02:13):
So if you're interested in that, just go register at
awesomevideomakerscom.
Slash blueprint.
Slash blueprint, all right.
So where do we start?
The two main questions to askyourself are what do you want to
(02:40):
sell and who do you want toattract?
And this applies particularlyif you're a coach or a
consultant, because you solvereal world problems for people
and when you sit down with themand you walk them through your
process and actually help solvetheir problem, that is super
valuable and it's your genius.
It's easy for you.
(03:00):
You don't have to come up withnew ideas.
Easy for you, you don't have tocome up with new ideas.
Your clients they come to youwith an issue and they ask you
questions.
You ask them questions and thenyou respond with your magic and
that makes great content.
You can do your coaching andyour coaching can become some of
(03:22):
your very best content.
So think of long form coachingcontent.
People will see your genius andthen they're going to want to
work with you.
You can either recruit currentclients to come and do a
recording session with you, oryou can ask people from your
audience to apply and do a freerecorded session and then you
(03:44):
could turn all of this into apodcast series.
You could do it a set of livestreams, or you could have a
YouTube channel, or you could doall three.
If you have a landing page foryour offer, you can put the very
best video of you coachingsomeone and giving them a
transformation and put that onthe page.
And giving them atransformation and put that on
(04:05):
the page.
This converts really well.
This is so much better thaninformation content all the
information that people want tofind.
It's already out there.
People want to know what it'slike to work with you and you
can actually show them how goodyou are.
Now I know what you may bethinking how can I be sure that
(04:25):
I'm showing up in the right way.
Don't I have to make my videosperfect?
Don't I need high productionvalue?
Don't I need the right outfit?
Do I need to put on makeup?
Okay, well, let's go back tothat very first question I asked
, and that is who do you want toattract?
And then think of someone likeMel Robbins, and if you don't
(04:47):
know Mel Robbins, go search forher.
She's got a terrific TED Talk.
She is all over the internetand that sometimes, when you see
her online, she is highlyproduced.
She actually has a televisionprogram, but sometimes she's
just sitting in her taxi orshe's just waking up or she's
sharing some fresh thought, andshe's always super authentic.
(05:10):
And, by the way, she does a lotof coaching content.
In fact, she's got an entireaudiobook that is all just her
coaching other people, long formcoaching.
So let's do a quick review.
You're already doing this.
You're out there doing coaching.
(05:31):
So this is really no extra workand it's evergreen.
You put it out there, it'sgoing to last is really no extra
work and it's evergreen.
You put it out there, it'sgoing to last a long time and it
becomes your evergreen thoughtleadership.
So just imagine that you're nolonger stuck on this endless
gerbil wheel of social mediaposting and being a slave to the
(05:52):
algorithm.
And you're coaching clients, you're doing what you love, and
those same sessions areattracting more dream clients to
you, on a kind of autopilot.
And then people reach out toyou not because of some trendy
posts that you put up, butbecause they've already
experienced the value of yourcoaching through your marketing.
(06:18):
All right, sound interesting?
Well, here's my invitation Joinmy Coaching as Marketing
Blueprint, because it's going tohelp you get to a place where
marketing is going to becomereally easy.
It's going to be natural andaligned with the work that you
are so passionate about.
It's happening on January 23rd,january 24th.
(06:39):
It's two days.
It's actually two 90-minutetrainings each day and there's
not a webinar, there's going tobe no pitch, it's an actual
training.
I'm going to take you frompoint A to point Z and when you
attend both sessions, you'realso getting a one-on-one
feedback session with me showingthe work you've done.
To register, just go toawesomevideomakerscom slash

I hope to see you
there and that's what I have for
you today.

above the center of attention.

I wish I didn't have to give into the pressure.

(07:47):
It feels just like I'm lying toyou.
I'm faking, staging, trying tolive some perfect life.
I know I'm wasting time, causeI just wanna call my friends and
See what they're doing tonight.
It doesn't have to be sospecial.
(08:08):
I try to be myself, you do thesame, and we'll be alright,
cause this pressure's reallybringing me down.
I wish I had the guts to starta conversation with someone.
(08:31):
Just be who.
I am.
Not care so much about firstimpressions, cause I got a
feeling that it could be great.
Skip all the acts, stop playinggames, maybe rip in and then
rip me and tell you my name.
Yeah, I got a feeling that itcould be great.
(08:53):
Skip all the acts, stop playinggames.
I just wanna call my friendsand see what they're doing
tonight.
It doesn't have to be sospecial.
I try to be myself.
You do the same, it will bealright, cause this pressure's
(09:17):
really bringing me down.
Na na na, na, na na na.
(09:37):
I wish I was above the centerof attention, but I'm not.
I wish I didn't have to give into the pressure, cause I just
wanna call my friends and seewhat they're doing tonight.
(09:59):
It doesn't have to be sospecial.
I try to be myself.
If do the same, I will bealright, cause this pressure's
really bringing me down.
