Speaking the Language with Monica Wilson of the Community Food Pantry

It may come as a surprise to many that food banks exist in some of the more affluent areas around Tampa, let alone that residents actually visit it. But the Community Food Pantry in Carrollwood has been a life raft for hundreds of locals who have fallen on hard times, even before the pandemic. Their fearless director, Monica Wilson, joins us on the show to share how a single experience with her son drove her to take up the fight against hunger, and where that has lead her to today.
