Here to Stomp the Stigma today is Daniela, the voice behind The Often Unseen. A little over 3 years ago, her husband was held hostage by a group of inmates at the jail he was working at. She shares with us today the events that unfolded that day, and the days following the incident. We get to talk about supporting her husband through his battle with PTSD, as well as how she has handled her own trauma surrounding the event. One message Daniela wants you to remember is that your trauma is valid and you can never compare your story to anyone else’s.
This is a very special part 1 of 2 once again. Tune in again next week to hear more of Daniela and her family’s journey so far.
