SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
If you're in a place
right now and you're struggling
to get control of your drinking, then I wanted to let you know
that it's okay.
You're not alone in this.
Quitting drinking can feel likea total minefield.
And it's like no matter whatcorner you go, you just don't
know what to expect.
Some days it's fine, there's noproblem, you can get through the
day, and then other days it's adisaster.
(00:21):
Other days it's a fight.
Other days it's a struggle.
And life can feel a little bitlike a roller coaster.
Now, the biggest problem is whenwe feel this way, is it can feel
so isolating.
It can feel like we're the onlypeople suffering with this
issue.
At least that's how it felt forme.
See, I always had the desire tochange, but the mainstream ways
of doing things, they justdidn't resonate with me.
(00:43):
I tried going to AlcoholicsAnonymous.
I tried calling myself apowerless alcoholic.
Didn't work.
I went for 90 days, but therewas no way I was going to
continue with that.
I've tried fighting the urgewith willpower.
I've tried begging God to helpme.
Every time I'd fall flat on myface.
Now I'm quite sure that if youmet me when I was drinking
alcohol, or if you had aconversation with my family,
with my mum, with my grandma, when I was drinking, they
(01:06):
probably thought that there wasno way I'd ever make it to the
other side and actually solvethe problem.
There have been times where Ifelt like that.
I felt like, is this a lifesentence?
Am I gonna be drinking like thisuntil I die?
And the whole reason why I makethese videos, why I run my
business, soberclear.com, why Ishare this message on the
internet is because I want tobe, you know, it sounds a bit
(01:27):
odd, but I want to be like abeacon.
It sounds weird, but I want tobe like a lighthouse.
I want you to see all this fogand all of this chaos and
uncertainty and then go, oh no,there's that guy that fixed a
problem.
And if he can do it, why can'tI?
I might be younger than you.
In fact, looking at thestatistics of my channel and
thinking about the 450 people inmy program, most of the people
(01:49):
who watch this channel are farolder than me, and most of the
people that I work with are farolder than me as well.
Under 1% of the people that havehelped have been younger than
me.
But alcohol doesn't discriminatebased on our age, based on our
race, based on our gender.
It's a universal problem.
And I have no doubt that if Ikept drinking alcohol, I might
have had 10 or 15 years left.
Sure, I don't know what wouldhave happened, but I don't want
(02:10):
to know.
But I want to let you know thatchange is still possible.
I have worked with people, 70years of age and above, who have
drank for 50 years, every singleday.
They've still managed to change.
Sure, I've worked with30-year-olds, 40-year-olds,
people that haven't drank likethat, but I've worked with
people who have drank so muchthat they thought that they were
losing their eyesight.
(02:30):
And that guy, he's now threeyears sober.
I've helped people whose wiveshave said, if you don't fix
this, the relationship'sfinished, we're over, the kids,
we're out.
And I've seen those marriagesrebuild.
See, the only thing that youhave control of is trying again.
If you've tried multiple timesin the past and failed, it is
what it is.
Or if you haven't even triedyet, but you're really thinking,
(02:51):
I think I should change.
And if you don't want to do itthe typical mainstream way, then
guess what?
I have good news.
We are enrolling clients intothe SoberClear program.
And this is where we use twothings.
We use first principles thinkingto help you get into a state of
mind where it feels like youdon't want to drink, and we
reframe the way that you viewalcohol, which has all been
scientifically validated.
If you go on Google Scholar, youcan search SoberClear System and
(03:13):
a scientific report will come upthat's written by an academic
psychologist.
In full transparency, my companycommissioned this guy and paid
him a small fortune, but it iswhat it is.
I wanted some solid scientificproof that this stuff is in all
alignment with the latestscientific literature, but you
can go and read about thescience behind this if you go on
Google Scholar.
But then the other thing we dois focus only on the future.
We don't do therapy, we don't goto the past, it's not like AA.
(03:36):
All we do is try to go towards abetter quality of life.
I've got clients that startbusinesses, that end up running
marathons that just be betterfor their family.
So we make this the focusinstead of making not drinking
alcohol the focus.
That's what did it for me.
Having a vision, havingsomething better to go towards
rather than just running awayfrom the pain and destruction of
alcohol, that was the final nailin the coffin.
