Speaker 1 (00:13):
What's up everyone out there on internet land, and welcome
to episode for twenty one of the Straight Shooters available
wherever podcasts are found. My name is Vaughan Johnson and
I'm joined as always by my main man, Pots and Pants,
Nip Pconna, Fox, PHL The Gambler and Philly Influencer, and
we have an emergency podcast here on episode four twenty one.
As you notice, we're recording, you know, pretty soon after

(00:36):
Elimination Chamber, because we got a lot to talk about. Yes,
we are talking the day after the twenty twenty five
Elimination Chamber where we witnessed one of the biggest hill
turns in wrestling history, probably the biggest one since Hogan
turning Hill in nineteen ninety six, and John Cena is
selling his soul to the Rock and we got to
talk all about it and more from the show, because

(00:58):
there's other big happenings from the but the stuff that
happened from the show, the two big happenings warrant an
emergency episode of the Street Shooters. Nick, how are you
in a Sunday afternoon?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
My good brother got the Phillies game on the Phillies
and Orioles spring training, and finally we have something interesting
on the road to WrestleMania. Whether they backed into it
or not, who cares at this point two years in
a row, seemingly, but finally something that you know is

(01:35):
not annoying. I guess, you know, I just felt like
ever since the Rumble, things have been annoying. Really before
that Saturday Night's main event December felt like the last time,
you know, I had some juice for w I think
the Netflix show was like fine but still weird how
played out a little bit. So yeah, finally I'm like.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Back, Yeah, we talked about on episode or part one
of episode four twenty and now how that the road
to WrestleMania wasn't all that exciting at that point. But
business has picked up since then in a couple of
major areas, some that I think I, you know, among others,
saw coming as far as the women's women's women's elimination

(02:18):
Chamber match at least the start of it, and I
did predict the winner correctly, but I did not predict
the winner of the men's chamber correctly at all. And
I just didn't think to consider John Cena. He I mean,
like I thought like it it was on the table,
but it wasn't necessarily something I saw actually happening. But
we're going to break it down piece by piece. So

(02:39):
but yeah, what a what a crazy time. Now all
of a sudden, the roads WrestleMania feels like it has
some juice, like you said, some energy to it. And
it still got six weeks until the show, so, as
we said last week, there's a lot of time, and
I think it's worked against them so far because they
just have to stretch and fill and phil to finally

(03:01):
get to elimination Chamber. But now they got a lot
of runway through WrestleMania to flesh out some of these
stories over the until then, so I think they said
it was like it's like forty something days away, so
they got to make the most of them. But let's
start off right off top with of course the big news.
We can't bury the lead here. John Cena for the

(03:23):
first time since like two thousand and three, is a
bad guy in WW oh no what. So here's how
it went down.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Can't believe it, can't believe it.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Here's how it went down. Elimination chamber. Of course, we
got John Cena, see him punk Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre,
Damian Priest, and Logan Paul. It comes down to Seth Rollins,
John Cena and see him Punk see them. Punk eliminates
Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins is upset because of this naturally,
well actually it was Seampunk and Johnson teamed up to

(04:00):
eliminate Seth Rowlands pretty much. And then in the midst
of seeing Punk trying to you know, beat up John Cena,
Seth Rolinds comes in and hits Seeing Punk with a
curb stomp and in the background, and this is when
I knew to notice something was up with Sena. Okay,
in the background, you see John Cena. He sees this happening,

(04:23):
and he immediately jumps up and bends, capitalizes on the
opportunity and beats him Punk to win the match and
clinch his spot at WrestleMania against Cody Boots. So I
don't know if you noticed that when it happened, but
I noticed that when it happened. What about you?

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, I did, And I to me, it didn't raise
any flags for me. I was just like, okay, like
I mean, it.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Raised a big it raised a big flag for me.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Really, like Seena has been aggressive and you know, throwing
his tenures of baby face like that, so not to that,
I think it was just like a title match of
WrestleMania on the line on his last year, like he's
gonna be a little different, like maybe a little more
aggressive than usual, but did not think obviously what was

(05:13):
to occur type of aggressive, So at that point, yeah,
I wasn't really like, uh hmm, interesting, Like I was
just like, okay.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Nah, that raised a big flag for me, and I knew,
I feel like I knew distract right from the right.
From there, it was like, oh, Scena, we have enough
of a sample size a scene of like over the
course of twenty years of him being a baby face
that he's I've never seen him react that way in
that situation, In those situations where somebody gets attacked like that,
he's probably unconscious somewhere. He's an unwilling and unknowing you know,

(05:48):
beneficiary of that. He's looking dead at it this time
and jumped on it like I feel like that's not
what the the John Cena of old of Super Sena
era would do or would have done. And I feel
like we got enough of the sample size that I
think I've seen it all. I feel like I can

(06:09):
say that with confidence and turns out was right. But
it just it looked odd. It looked it didn't look
like something seen and would do. And then this the
wheels had a churning for me, and like, man, he
did talk about how it was best for business for
him to be in an elimination chamber. He just kind
of like did that, and I was like, that wasn't

(06:29):
very babyface like neither, Hm, all right, I think that's
I think I think the jig is up now.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
I think that more than like that, what he said
raised my eyes brows more than his actions, which is,
I guess the opposite of what I guess they were
trying to achieve. But yeah, I know he kind of
hinted a lot on the mic at least so, but
then like him not showing up forever like until the chamber,

(06:57):
I was just like, okay, Like, I I don't know
if that's uh the way to go about if you
were gonna turn him heel like just not be on TV.
But maybe that was the whole plan.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Maybe that was a whole plan. Who knows either way.
After JOHNSONA wins, Cody Rhoades comes out now their opponents
at WrestleMania, and they have like the show of respect.
You know, they're two good old white babyfaces, you know,
good guys, you know, just all American guys. And they're
gonna go at it with with sportsmanship and pride and

(07:31):
and you know they're gonna love each other after. It's
gonna be great. You know, everybody wins, you know what
a great show. And then The Rock comes out with
Travis Scott, which is just like, okay, Travis Scott, He's
just rocks homeboy, I guess now right, And they get
into the ring and Cody commences to cussing the Rock

(07:53):
out like literally says, sell my soul. You can go
screw yourself.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Yeah, I remember that was I looked at my dad.
I was like, what he kind of is just lost
and he doesn't always pay attention. So I was like,
do you hear that? He like looked at me and yep.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
You gotta cover pop's ears, man, ear must I can't
hear that. That found nasty language.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
He told me to turn it off. Raunchy, racy television.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
It's too much. But Cody does not, in fact sell
his soul, which I think we both agreed on in
our last episode, uh, and that it will go against
kind of not just his values, because again he's he's
supposed to be doing this just out of the kindness
of his heart, not because he's corporate. And of course
his father, Dusty Rhodes, would not sign up for something

(08:51):
like that, although he did sign up for the NWOL
back in the day. But we just disregard that. So
Cody does not in fact sell his soul. And in
the background is John Cena being what we would call
in Philly Joe super Joe. Oh yeah, you go, Cody.
You made the right decision.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Pal. Oh wow. That raised my flags much more than
his actions inside the elimination chamber.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
By this point, I was already sold. He wouldn't have
even been there for all that, for all this if
he wasn't turning. So by this point I'm already in.
But I feel you on that because he was man,
he was he doing the most as you can say.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Like I I could see them handshake and whatever in
them go off the air. It's kind of like what
I and like, I feel like I've seen it before,
you know, so I'm like, okay, like they're gonna shake
Rock's gonna leave and they're gonna shake hands and they're
gonna go off the air. So when he was like
cheering us as much as he was, that is when

(09:53):
I was like, yeah, like something's up.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
They give away many giveaway and then he hugs Cody
and then positioned very well the way there are position
in the ring to get all the shots in that
Sena is hugging Cody and at the same time looking
at the Rock and Sena has now his evil face on.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Man, that's the last thing image image we're gonna have
of this moment. I've seen it all on the timeline
this morning, like everywhere, like the brand, multiple brands tweeting
it like it's amazing his evil face.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
You look like a swamp from from Mario Brothers. Right now,
I'm me Sina angry now it's so ridiculous. But that
face gave it like you knew what was up at
that point. The Rock even have to get the throat slash,
which I don't know why gives his over dramatic throat slash.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I so I did see a tweet that that might
have brought it together with when he came out at
Bad Blood and he did the same gesture but instead
of the three. Instead of the three he held out.
It was supposed to be seen as word life, you know, signal, Okay,
So I mean like it could just be whatever, but

(11:24):
I agree when he did the throat slash when they hugged,
I was paying attention to SCENEA the whole time, so
that you said it. The positioning was great, So I
was staring at him the whole time. He was looking
right at Rock before they even switched the camera angle.
It was the hard cam. Uh, they were still on
and he was staring at Rock. I was like, oh,

(11:44):
it's happening, Like I knew it right then and there.
It's not even before they switched the camera angle from
the rock to then like the other camera angle of Sina.
It was the hard cam and you could tell John
was looking at Rock while he was hugging Cody. I
was like, it's it's happening right now, it's happening. That

(12:06):
Michael stop Gift, it's happening.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
It's happening. Oh my god, it's happening.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
All I can buster up to tweet was l O
L and all captains, Oh.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
My goodness, gracious, funny enough as an aside, real quick
get at me Dog two one five on X is
requesting that we do an episode. We're recording one right now,
and because of that, you get you know, shouted out
in the podcast to you the man John Cena's evil

(12:40):
face is an all timer. Is an all timer, bro.
And he kept the face throughout the whole It looked
so ridiculous, Justina trying to be angry.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Oh man, evil old. You know how much he probably
practices that a lot too. They're probably probably had a
whole created team just for him to do this and
do that, like.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
It made the moment because's so over the top and
his face it's like, I'm not of an eighties movie,
but it still works somehow, and they beat the daylights
out of Code for one down Sey and kicks him
in the groin, which is like, that's man, if you
want to be a kick him in the nuts, bro.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
The funniest part easy way everybody knew because I guess
they could see of the cameras as well. I'm assuming
they had it on the video screen and you kind
of heard the reaction even before seeing it kicked Cody
because it's like they knew what was coming. The crowd
was already reacting before even kicked. Yes. Yeah, so that

(13:52):
was incredible.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
And Cody goes down in a heap and they commenced it,
whipping on Cody and crazy. Big crazy part for me
was seeing and taking his rolex that obviously gave to
Dusty pawned the rolex so he can get Cody into
acting school and they eventually, Uh I think it was
Triple H and Bruce Pritchet or something like that gave
him the rolex back last year after he won the title.

(14:16):
So that's meaningful. That's symbolism there as well. Uh seeing
a bust them open. Uh, Travis Scott getting on it.
He's a part of this crew. We gotta what is
this two man power trip? Three man power trip? I
don't know. Uh, the world has a the Free world
has a multi man power trip going on right now too.
It's a lot going on, not power tips, but uh,

(14:41):
Travis Scott is like getting physical. They're like choking out
Cody with his ties like that, like and like it's
then the rock takes off the belt and whips him
with it. It's just it's madness, sena heal. People are cheering,
but most people are booing and most people other people
can't believe their eyes because the has the evil look
on his face. He's got the evil look. And Rock's

(15:06):
out there at his bell bottoms too, and then Travis
Scott's here. Is Travis Scott gonna be on TV more?
I don't know what is this.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
It's so wild. What were your initial thoughts upon seeing everything?
After everything was done? Give me your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Well again, it was like, all right, good something I
can sink my teeth into. I'm really looking forward to
the promos that come out of this. I'm really looking
forward to Sina. I still believe he's eventually going to
win the title, but not at WrestleMania. So I'm already
putting the wheels of motion in my head of like
how the rest of the year is going to look. Meanwhile,

(15:48):
like while they're beating Cody's ass, you know, like it's
just sitting there, ah, like what I'm like pondering, you
have the finger on my chin as Cody's getting getting
his ass kicked.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
So we see this, we got the coming now, but
all right, next, yeah, what's next?

Speaker 2 (16:03):
So and I'm like, oh, well, I can't wait to
talk about it because you know, this is something we
said on last week's episode part one. It's like, you know,
something's got to happen. So I think we were maybe
not we but people could be resigned to the fact, like, Okay,
Cody heel turn would be interesting because we just we

(16:24):
didn't think Sina would. Like we've we've talked about John
Cena turning heel forever, people like the wrestling media has
talked about if forever. John himself has talked about it before,
and it's just like, okay, like they talk about it,
but we're never gonna see it. You know, we're not
ever going to see John Cena Turnheeluh, we'll see him

(16:46):
embraced the booze like he did before, but he's not
going to officially have an act of turning heel on anybody. So,
if anything, this was literally the perfect creative reason reasoning
for him to do it, and I really think it was.
You know, people people are comparing it to Hogan or

(17:07):
and you know they should. I do think this is
right up there probably one b for the biggest hill
turn of all time. I still think Hogan's is at
the top, but this is something that we've talked about
for a long time, but I think it's just like
we're we're never gonna see it, so we'll just talk
about it. And the fact that we finally saw it

(17:28):
and just the reaction from uh, you know, everybody, mainstream
media and all that. So uh yeah, definitely it was like,
all right, WrestleMania has got the storyline. You know that
we can follow the rest of you know, this month
and half the next month, and you know that there's

(17:50):
actually two really good ones that came out of Elimination Chamber,
but this is obviously going to be the main main event,
and I think, you know, I was just kind of
like it was like a relief, sigh of relief where
watching the next few weeks of w TV is not
going to be as much as of a chore, especially

(18:10):
for the you know, the big title match, the Cody
Championship match, whoever he was facing, that's got a lot
more juice and I'm thankful for that. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, it was a long time coming. I felt like
when we finally reached that point.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
And then he obvious the promos that John's gonna have
that you know, hopefully.

Speaker 1 (18:34):
We'll still feature the angry face, Yeah, looking into the camera.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
And then you know, I even saw something. I think
Roy Burton and the Gambler chat shout out to Roy
had had mentioned Roman that sets the could plan a
seed for Roman and Rock down the road, where Roman
is like, why didn't you just ask me? You know, like, oh,
so be a thing, man, that.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Could be a thing because Roman reigns. He's not on
TV right now, but you gotta imagine he's still gonna
be figured into the plane somehow, I guess. And yeah,
it's gonna be fallout ripple effects, you would think from
all of this, because see him punk and Seth Rodlind's
gonna have a thing to do now because of this.
That's one main aspect of it that I can immediately

(19:20):
think of from all of this.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
But which I guess their blowoff wasn't a blowoff.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
There's more, there's more. But ye know, this is the
biggest he'll turn since Hogan for sure. And it's been man,
it's been twenty pretty much twenty years since he's been
over twenty years. He turned face in two thousand.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
And forty thirty, almost thirty years. That's crazy. Oh you
mean seen, I'm yeah finking Hogan.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
No, no, no, no, Hogan, I'm talking about yeah, seeing
over twenty years. Yeah, it's been over twenty years since
it's been a babyface. And as before he retires is
when he turns heel, which I think, to me, I
didn't think it was going to happen, but I think
it's good that it is happening because it gives Sena
a fresh breath of air, Like I know what that

(20:09):
a fresh breath of fresh air, a fresh of breadth air.
I don't sound that nearly as good. Got to get
some big red yeah man, some winter fresh or something,
remember those back in the day.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yeah, but the commercials are great.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
It gives him a fresh coat of paints, let's say,
you know, and some much needed you know. I guess
keep rejunivinated him for this year that he's doing before
he retires. And it gives him sort of an art
because who's to say that they can't turn him back
face before this is all and he atones for his

(20:52):
sins and so my bad, y'all. And then he goes out,
you know, a hero.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Again, you know, I believe, But I mean like that
it's a great reason, you know, like you needed the
reason and his reason simply is, like I need to
make sure I get my seventeenth rain break the record.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Like yeah, and he and the thing is he's admitted
this on camera and that I haven't been good in
the last couple of years. I haven't won matches, right,
so I don't know if I got it anymore. I
don't know if I can do it. He literally said
that I don't know if I can do this. I
mean I can win the World Rumble and that's how
I can get my shot. And this was the last
possible shot he had to the elimination chamber, and he

(21:33):
used his power and influence to get in the match
to begin with. And well, you know, I didn't use
power and influence necessarily to win because Seth Rollins helped
him win. But he didn't turn it down either. And
you know, think twice about it. And he's stacking the
deck with the rock too. He sold his soul, so

(21:53):
he's trying to take advantage of every you know, potential
advantage possible to get number Seventeen's obsessed with it to
the point that he's willing to sell his soul. The
man who's about hustle, loyalty and respect man sold out.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Wow, I can even see like the whole all the
wrestlers turning on him, even the tweeners, and like, so, yeah,
if I knew you were gonna do that, I never
would have done.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
That's what I'm saying. This person has to be reviled
by the locker room after this. You would think, yeah, right,
you would think maybe maybe I'm misreading it, But it
feels like whoever this person was going to pick up
this ball that Cody was gonna drop and sell their
soul would draw the eye of obviously every baby face,

(22:42):
and like you said, maybe some heels, maybe Drew McIntyre,
you know, maybe you know, maybe maybe even Logan Paul.
Even though I think it would fit Logan, like I said,
I maintained it. I think it would fit Logan Paul
to also sell his soul for a title shot or
a title match or whatever. But but maybe even Kevin Owens.
I don't know, Like it just feels like this is

(23:03):
now you're the Superhill because you stood for something and
you you're still own business for so long, and now
you've portrayed that just for the title man and and
whatever else the Rock has to offer, which I guess.
You know, he talked, They talked about movies and television
shows and all the people he kind of put on
stuff like that. I thought that was a well done
package to show like this is the opportunities The Rock

(23:24):
has provided in the past, and I guess they could
attribute it to him at least, I don't know if
he had direct influence, but they attributed it to him
to make it the show. Like what he's done for them,
he could do the same for Cody. Look a look
at what Cody's turning down. I thought that was well done.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
But so.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
The initial reaction for me, obviously is you know, shocking
all that they actually did it. And again business has
picked up for WrestleMania. They gotta now they have a
main story they can go to for this and hopefully
other things can fall into place and we can have
an entertaining road to WrestleMania from here on. But it's
a classic story, man, It's just a just a classic

(24:09):
store is wrestling? Isn't that difficult? It's really all you need, right,
It's a story that they've run before. Like with The Rock.
You didn't necessarily turn on a friend to join the corporation. No,
he didn't know.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
He just the good guy. He was on the receiving
again and he's the one who did it.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
Yeah, they've run this story multiple times, but it generally works.
Everybody doesn't. Nobody likes the person who sells just so
to the man, even though people some people willingly do it.
So classic story you can rely on. So where do
we go from here? What happens now? So obviously I
would assume we will get seen on TV a little.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Bit more, really hopefully, because where the hell's he been?
That was the annoying part for me.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Well, I'm sure he had.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Commitments, he's going to be well, I mean, he said
this year was going to be like open, so I
guess he was lying. But he logan Paul comes out
on SmackDown to like seeing his music, but like that
was a great heel move. But I was like, oh,
finally seen his here to like joining his promo and
then it's logan Paul. I'm like I was just tired

(25:23):
of I was like, Okay, this is supposed to be
seen his last year, Like where the hell is he?
And I was kind of getting annoyed by it? And
then this happens, So he better be on TV, maybe vignettes,
you know, every couple of weeks, but I mean, like
he'd better be there in person.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Does does he wrestle between now and Wrestleming? Is he
actually getting the ring? Do not?

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Things?

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Probably not?

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Like does he work out like some kings as a
heel before he gets to WrestleMania? Do we get to
see like new music? Do we change his attire? I
was joking last night, like, oh, maybe he should wear
like leather shorts, because like it's like a Hollywood thing
to do, like just all of a sudden, it's wear
leather instead of George down the leather shorts. But like,

(26:09):
does he change his gear? I know, I remember when
he talked about turning Hill or almost turning Hill back
in twenty twelve, which is crazy now it's thirteen years ago.
We thought, for sure, what's gonna happen. I remember when
Kane was the one trying to like influence him, Yeah,
and all that, but I thought for sure it's gonna
happen then, and it didn't. But he talked about back
then buying new gear, and so like, does he have

(26:30):
new gear ready this time around? Is it? Is it
gonna be George still is it gonna be the same
get up? I feel like it wouldn't be right. So
what can we what? It feels like Seena has done
the same thing for so long, and his look has
kind of been the same too, like T shirt, Geort's
in the hat and wristbands and you know, bicep bands

(26:52):
or whatever you want to call them. If the rocks wearing,
I think that would be outrageous. If he's wearing the
vest and the bell bottoms, look, that would be outrageous. Bro.
What I'm saying is, it's just like he's like a
blank slate as far as like what you can do
with him because his look is already pretty plain. So
I don't know where can they go anything they do,

(27:12):
it's like, whoa look at him like anything, because we
haven't seen him look different in twenty plus years.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Hopefully they do something like he definitely needs, you know
that that different look, not just in the face. You
know what if he buzzes his head like that'd be
crazy well, I mean, I don't know, and it would
grow back in time for him to win the title
down the road.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I don't know, man, It's it's it's very interesting. People
call it like or a WW called an industry changing,
and we'll see about that. You still got to capitalize, right, Yeah,
you know the reason why the Hogan turn changed the
industry because the nWo came out of it. You know,
that's what helped it change. But that was that was
the start, and he had capitalized. So let's let's cool

(28:01):
the breaks on whether it's industry changing just yet, but
it's it's worth us jumping on the podcast early.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
And there's no h nobody talking about Stoneholds, Steve Vawson
and Wrestlmania seventeen and industry changing.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
So I mean it, I mean technically it did. It changed.
It full of worst, but you know it did technically
change the industry. So that statement is accurate if you,
you know, consider how things went worse after that. So
WrestleMania comes around, WRESTLEMANI forty went Las Vegas, Nevada. Who

(28:37):
wins Cody Rhodes or John Cena? And I know we're
going to do predictions later, you know, before WrestleMania, but
a lot of time left a lot of time. But
as of right now, on March second, twenty twenty five,
who do you see potentially walking out of WrestleMania as

(28:57):
the ww World Heavyweight Champion.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
I believe it's still gonna be Cody. I believe it
would not surprise me if Seena were to win and
then have like, you know, maybe multiple matches this year
the main events and Cody like possibly went it back.
But I do think Scene's last win will be for

(29:22):
the title later this year. So as of right now,
I still believe Cody will win. Whether that's with help
or just on his own like that, I don't know.
I don't know if they have that overbooked i'd finished
the way that they last year, but I would expect it,
so I would believe Cody would still walk away champion
after WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
You bring up an interesting point as far as help,
because you would assume that John Seene is gonna have
somebody cheap for him, right, It's just a matter of
who that is. Would it be the Rock just himself?
Are they recruiting people to put around Seena so you
know they can get beat up until WrestleMania, Like, how
would they you know, kind of surround people put people
around seeing him if they put anyone around them. But

(30:05):
I agree with you, I think Cody Rhodes would will
beat Sina just for the simple fact that you also
want to send people home happy, I think, and you could.
You could do the easily do the thing of the
heel winning and Sena is your top heel champion now
for like the next four or five months until like
Summer Slam. You could do that and crown Sena is

(30:27):
pretty much the greatest of all time at WrestleMania forty one,
even though he's a villain now, So it'd be kind
of odd, but they could do that. But I think
Cody wins and from that maybe Sena has like some
type of clarity, like, man, I've messed up here.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
It was not what I thought it would be.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
It was not worth it, and I betrayed you all
and for that I could see the promo now Sena
like getting emotional because he's a good actor. I betrayed
your trust and if you can forgive me, Like, how
many times have you ever heard a wrestler like beg
for forgiveness from the fans? I don't think we've ever
heard that. I think Sena could deliver that.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Sergeant Slaughter wanted his country back, as I've seen, Yeah,
that was.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Like thirty years ago, Like that's a crazy thing, like
that doesn't happen, so my country bad. So Sena begging
to fans for forgiveness eventually teary eyed and people just
go okay back home and that's how you win seventeen
and goes out. But you can send him out on top,

(31:35):
I guess if you want, or you can, you know,
maybe have him defended once or twice after that, but
I think that would be a nice little way to
kind of put a bowl on the year. But you're
sending scene.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
On this ride.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
It's so desperate to win, but the desperation doesn't pay
off because you know he's doing evil and that doesn't work,
even though sometimes it can, but in this universe it
never prevails, not for long at least, you know. So
that's how I can see a player out, but it's
at the very least right now, it's hella interesting. And

(32:06):
I don't know what they're going to do as far
as Raw or SmackDown, because Cody is a SmackDown guy.
But I guess they could have him just pop up
on Raw because I feel like if you if you're
Netflix and you just had the hottest angle, potentially in
the last thirty years happen. You want that, you want
somebody that action like, you want some of that fallout

(32:26):
on your airwaves. And also, I think for the viewers,
I don't know if they want they should wait until
Friday to have something coming out of that. So the
Rocket easily show up on RAW on Monday. It's not
like he's assigned to one show. And I don't think
Sena is either, So maybe they come out and do
something and keep that going. And you don't see Cody

(32:47):
until SmackDown because you know he needs some time to
get himself together or something like that. Right, But it's
definitely interesting. It's definitely something I'm interested to see moving forward.
And yeah, man, it's we got what we wanted. There's
that attention we ordered, we wanted it, and we got it.
We got the angle that we were kind of looking for.

(33:09):
But there are more than one angles being played out
right now. Obviously I said more than one angles, more
than one angle playing out right now in w w TV. Obviously,
like I mentioned, we'll see what happens with see him
punk and seth rollins, right, that's that's uh, that's not
over yet. And then we got we had a non
sanction match between Sammy's and Kevin Owins. I saw the

(33:30):
return of Randy Orton, so we'll see what happens with
them moving forward, right, But the show started MHM in
a hot manner, and I mean that the tone. It
definitely set the tone for the evening because they pretty
much had hot angles in the beginning, in the middle,
and the end of the show. Just nice pacing by

(33:51):
w W. If I were to say, but yeah, yes,
that is true. But Women's Elimination Chamber, of course, we

(34:48):
have Bianca Butlaire, Alexa Bliss, Bailey, Live Morgan, Naomi and
Roxane Perez with an opportunity to face either rear Ripley
or Eosky for the Women's World title at WrestleMania forty one.
And before the match even started, we started off in
the ring with Naomi and Live Morgan, So that means

(35:09):
Bianca Butalare, Alexa, Bliss Bailey and Rocks and Pereres are
in the posts. They are locked into the posts. They
can't get out, and before the chamber can close, we
hate Jake Cargill's music. Jay Cargill came out and all
black while Naomi and Bianca were wearing all white because
their attack team, you know, they match. He comes Jade

(35:31):
when all black, and she looks incredible, good man, phenomenal shape.
This woman is in. Shout out to you, Jay Cargill.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
You are.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Came out looking like she's also about to kill too,
all right, not a look you want to see if
you're on the other end. Live Morgan thought she was
that person, and she was scared to death. Okay, she's
pretty much balled up in the corner hoping Jay Cargo
wouldn't wouldn't hurt her. But instead of Live Morgan, Jake
Cargo turned to Naomi, which is something we kind of

(36:07):
saw coming, you know, Naomi being the culprit of the attack.
At least this is our assumption, right, Jake Cargo attacks Naomi,
beats the breaks off Naomi, and everybody's loving it. You
know who doesn't love it though, Bianca but Lair. And
when I tell you that she made the segment to
me man, because because Bianca Butlair, I guess is you know,

(36:34):
this is my take on the story, is that Naomi,
at least Naomi attacked Jay Cargo may have been more
for all we know, because it's Jake Cargo might take
more than one person to beat her up. But Jake Cargo,
I guess, knows who did this to her and knows
it was Naomi. But Bianca Butlaire I guess feasibly may
not know that because you know they've been teaming up.

(36:57):
She's like, I'm trying to catch who did it too,
And it's been on site for Bianca. When Beyonca thought
it was lith Morgan, they got the rumbling.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Right away, right. She has not been texting with Jade.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
I guess no, no, no, no, no, apparently not. Jade
does not communicate when she's not on TV. Okay, she
could have just said, hey girl, it wasn't live it
was Naomi, and I'm gonna be the ass when I
come back. Don't bang with her. She is snake, you know,
So she could have did that. No, we had to

(37:27):
see it play out, I guess, And Beyonca is none
the wiser of this, of Jade's plan and nothing, And
while Jade is whipping up on Naomi, Beyonca is distraught.
She's like ron Burgundy in the phone boot. She's in
the glass case of emotion, y'all. But I say that jokingly,
But she really sold it. She was like beside herself,

(37:49):
she's banging on the glass. Stop no, and this black
historyum have just ended. Man, we got two sisters in
the ring fighting. Stop that. No, we're supposed to be
coming together. She couldn't handle it. Meanwhile, Naomi is getting
done up.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Bro, Molly wopped, Wally wopped my favorite, my favorite term now.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
J Carco dirty bro. And then shut the chamber door
on her neck. Jesus Christ, my lord. Naomi had hair
on the stretcher with the neck brace and everything. She
over there convalescent Bianca, but larc Finally, when she gets
out of the chamber, because for one Naomi is eliminated,
they don't.

Speaker 2 (38:33):
Even let the place Naomi.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
So she gone. So this five person match, now.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
As an aside, I think that's great, Like that Jade
just doesn't go in because it ain't the title she
cares about right now. So I think that's that plays
very well. People are gonna be like, oh, like, if
they took Naomi out, why didn't Jade just you know,
replace her or something. It's like, she ain't care about that,
and that is not the story right now.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
This ain't this ain't the bee she's she's you know,
working with right now. She got a personal beef to
handle first, and that's Naomi at least Naomi. Again, it
could be more. We don't know, there's still more story
to tell, but I thought this was amazing. By the way,
this was incredible. Bianca is to me. I mean, in

(39:18):
ring wise, we already know that she's freak athlete, but
just charisma look and then the ability to convey that
emotion made the entire same. I think I think everybody
did their jobs honestly, Like Jade Cargo came out looking
like she's about to kill someone, then she did kill someone. Naomi.
All she had to do is get beat up, but like, hey,

(39:39):
you still got to sell like you're getting beat up,
like she that she was getting destroyed, and then Bianka
just going through it.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Last and then still having to be like I'm in
this match, like you know, like yeah, so much in
her on her, weighing heavy, heavily on her, and she
still gotta go win this match.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, it was it, and Beyoncen conveyed all those emotions
expertly well in my opinion, well done by all involved,
and the match was good too. I don't gonna be wrong.
The match is also very well done, a great match.
Both Chambers were well done and Bianca Butlaire prevails, though

(40:25):
she defeats to Live Morgan at the end to punch
her ticket to WrestleMania to face either Ria Ripley or Eos.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Guy.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
It's probably gonna be a reality, but they could insert EO.
I wouldn't be against it. But I think the big
money match that they're looking for is Rea versus Bianca
one on one again. I mean, they were on the
cover of the video game last year together. I feel
like they think they're the top two women and they
are in my opinion as well. So that's the biggest
match they can do.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
And you would hope that's, you know, a main event
as well, because I know Triple h was asked about
how they go about considering who main events might one,
who Eva's Night two, and he just goes, it's whatever resonates,
That's basically what he said. And it's like, I mean,
Bianca and Rhea, they deserve that. So I'm assuming that

(41:13):
Riha beats EO. Got to keep like we're recording this
before that match happens.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
So right, we don't want to ride off Eo Sky
and assuming that she's not involved in the match, because
again they could do like a oh a draw, Yo,
you're in. This is a trip of threat or something
like that.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Like we don't know, and it's that Bianca another event
which you know they've done in the past, that it
could be a main event of like a backlash or something.
We don't I feel like.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
But to me, to me as a as a WrestleMania match,
you got your yeah, you know, speaking of Johnson, you
got your Johnson and Batista this generation for the women.
Like I've said it before, we talked about this when
they had them at their war Umbering twenty twenty one.
In at WrestleMania the same year, they positioned him as
the next two to take over, and they pretty much
have Bianca, Butlara started off first. Things started off hot first,

(42:00):
and then they let Riots kind of take over and
now they're clashing together. I think that's that's the matchup,
that's your for the women's division. That's your Rock versus
Steve Austin. That's your big match that we've been building
to for now five years. They've been separate, They've been
completely separate for multiple years. They haven't touched I don't

(42:21):
think outside of that rumble in twenty twenty one, I
don't know if they've been in the World Rumble again,
but I don't recall them being crossing paths period since then.
They may have, and I don't remember a lot of television,
but right don't, so at least not on a significant level.
They obviously haven't had like a few they haven't had
I don't think they've had like one off matches on

(42:41):
like a TV. And they obviously haven't had like a
like pl matches, or they haven't been in like multi
person matches, need like a money in the bank that
I can recall or something like that. So yeah, to me,
that's the match and I'm looking forward to it. But yeah,
that that angle with Naomi and Jay Cargill set the

(43:04):
tone for the evening. What are your thoughts on this
angle and where could go heading into WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (43:13):
I think it's you know, I hope we eventually do
see the footage, you know, whatever they shot, however they
did it, I hope we do see that that way,
you know, we know it's Naomi. There's no hidden doubt,
there's none of that. But I think the way they
went about we still don't know. As the viewer, we
don't know, and that somebody on screen knows something that

(43:34):
we don't. We don't see that a lot in wrestling,
you know, it's always like we see scenes play out
and that others don't, like the characters don't so we
know what's going on, like we you know, I go
back to the Batista Triple H angle of two thousand
and five. It's like we saw Batista hide it out,
you know, like Sir Triple H doesn't know that Batista

(43:57):
is listening to him while he's running him down. Stuff
like that. So I like this is a little different
and I like that. I like that we can literally
the fact that people are cheering it with Jade when
Naomi is not. Naomi's the heel now, you know, like
I don't know how you can position the opposite. So

(44:19):
Naomi's gonna be the heel. And it's not like the
traditional what we see, like Naomi turned on Jade on camera.
It's like Jade knows what happened, and she dictated the
crowd's reaction and really the turn, you know, Like, so
I'm looking forward to that. I think the fallout of
you know, Naomi trying to explain I guess why she

(44:41):
did it or whatever she wanted to be in the limelight,
she wanted to be a tag team champion, stuff like that,
or maybe there's a hidden the issue from the past
we don't know about Naomi's like you do this to
me and this is why I did it, and maybe
it doesn't make Jade look that great. I don't know.
So there's so many different ways they can go with this.
It could just be the Naomi jealousy angle as well.

(45:01):
But I still think the way they thought it has
been about as good as they can do an angle
so far like this without really like with with building
it with you know, months really and they you know,
it's rejuvenated now again the way seen as he'll turn rejuvenated.

(45:22):
My interest like this, this might be the most interesting
angle in the women's division right now. Like no offense
to Tivity, Stratton and Charlotte, but I mean that it
doesn't really hold a candle to what's happening between Jade
Biaka and Naomi right now. So I'm you know, that's
the women's angle right now.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
Yeah, I mean, I agree with you. It's definitely. We
mentioned like the hottest angles in the women's division. You
can go with this, you can go with you know,
Pianca and Rhea if they get to that point.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
But anything lines like up there too. Anything she does
is great. It might be second place for me.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
It's I mean, she's good, don't get me wrong, I
just obviously the way it's positions can't be right they
I mean, I know, it's weird because she hasn't Also
to me at least, she's great, but like the stuff
that they put her in, it hasn't been always great.
But that's a different discussion, I think. But it is
as far as this, the reason why it's in a

(46:24):
position that is in as far as intrigue and interest
is because they put time in, They put effort in,
which is what you want from not just one story,
but multiple stories. I think part of the reason why
Charlotte Tiffany Stratton hasn't quite caught on yet because they
just haven't put in the time. Neither one neither side.
Tiffany just got to the main roster, not then long ago.
We haven't really got a chance to get to know
her that well, even though she's been on the roster. Well,

(46:46):
I'll say I shouldn't say that long ago, but she's
been on the roster for like eight months, you know,
like nine months. She's won money in the bank, So
since since at least after WrestleMania last year, right or
around that time, so she's been on the main roster
for a while. We haven't really had a chance to
get to know her and the Charlotte we know her,
but it's we've known her for a while now, so
nothing has changed. So they and they haven't really had

(47:08):
the most exciting interactions neither. Even though they've had multiple
they haven't been that exciting. So maybe with time it
can get better. But this angle has the time. They
put in the work and they all execute it too.
We're talking about going back to before WrestleMania of last
year when they first paired or not paired, but put

(47:30):
these three together, and that was like a monumental moment.
They had the WrestleMania match, and then it kind of
went off with just Beyonce and Jade and Naomi's kind
of on our own, but and any we get together sometimes,
but not as much as Beyonce and Jade would obviously.
But yeah, so they've been This has been in the
works for a while at least from a you know,

(47:51):
storyline standpoint as far as how they positioned them last year.
So when you have that time and effort put in
and then you create the intrigue up to who's done it?
You know, yeah, no wonder it works Like this is
what happens when you put the time and effort energy
into to the story. They have the ability to do this.
It's just can they do this more often with consistency

(48:14):
and throughout the division?

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Yeah, we're you know it means to be seen. Yeah,
in twenty twenty five, it's hard to watch wrestling the
way you know, we did growing up, where it's like
early nineties stuff like that. Like it's just not the same.
So when you when you have an episode and Triple
as just staying the store in this presser yesterday, like
you need episodes that set up down other episodes down

(48:40):
the road. So, uh, there's gonna be quote unquote boring
episodes of wrestling. And I just felt like we were
getting too many at one time. When you're on technically
on the road to WrestleMania, it's like, come on, Like,
but I understand the timelines different this year with WrestleMania
been later than usual, but it's like, come on, like
we need to get something going, like and having to

(49:03):
wait till March first for that to happen is kind
of annoying. I understand the rumble happened.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
But like.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Whatever, and the rumble was what the rumble was, you know,
the do winners did not move the needle. I liked
the moment for Jay, but he just had a title
match the week before and lost. And I think that's
part of the reason why people didn't take to it,
because they were just like what, like why And so
obviously it was to set up the elimination chamber angle,

(49:32):
which I think was a better angle for that to
play out what happened with Sena and Cody and Rock.
So it's just you need I don't want to say
boring episodes, but that's kind of what they are to
set up stuff down the line. And they did that
a lot with the Jade Naomi angle. And there's a

(49:54):
lot of times where I'm watching the show and I'm
just like, come on, like I want to see something happen,
and if nothing happened, it's like, all right, well, I
gotta wait till next week, and then the next week
comes and like nothing really happens, and they're like, ah,
like you get impatient, And that's just how a lot
of people view wrestling in twenty twenty five. They're impatient
where you know, if this was happening in the early nineties,

(50:15):
we'd be like ecstatic, you know this, you know, week
to week just setting up things because we're only watching
it once a week. We're not watching it twice a
week and three hours, you know, like each show practically
it's not even including NXT. So yeah, it's one of
those you know, I'm glad we were here, I'm annoyed

(50:38):
it till March's first. But again, we need those down
episodes to set up further things down the line. And
I think in terms of not so much in terms
of Cody and Sina, but in terms of Jade, Naomi
and Bianca, those episodes helped way more than they hurt.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
I mean, I guess, I mean, I see what you're saying, like,
sometimes you need those down episodes. But I know when
I watch TV show, I don't want to see a
down episode, Like I don't want the.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
You know, I don't like it. I like said, I'm
just like, okay, like I understand that, but it's as
a viewer he's still I don't like that either. But
nobody likes that, you know, I know it's the the justification,
but it's like, okay, well, then have other things happen, Like.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
I understand what he's like. I like you said, I
understand what he's saying, and that like you have to
bring things down to make the big moments seem more impactful.
And that's you know, you see television shows, they kind
of do a similar path, you know, they season premiere,
you have some big things happening, then you kind of
go along. Mid season finale is a big cliffhanger, and
then of course the season finale is where you have

(51:50):
a big crescendo. Right, But like you said, that doesn't
mean that the other episodes mean nothing and that you
could just do whatever and make it boring to make
the big moments stand out. That that's that's not what happens.
That you still have to the other episode still have
to move the story along and in a way that's
entertaining still too, So I don't I don't know about that.

(52:11):
I understand what he's trying to split.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
The big cards forward. It's like, you know, right, kind
of slacking.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
There's no excuse for that. I don't want to hear like,
well it's a method. No, you're just not doing it well, right.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
Like that's like you're focusing way too much on one
thing and not enough on the other where right, you know,
I think that a company that size, there should be
plenty of time given to everything that we see, and
obviously there's not, no, not.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
Not at the moment, and you can't say like, well,
look at this big thing we did over here. That's
justifies the weeks of subpar television that it's not that entertaining,
Like like I've watched television shows like that where it
feels like nothing happens. It's like the end of the episode. Yeah,
and it's like a big cliffhanger. It's like, but I
watched like ninety well maybe that night that's long, but
like I watched thirty four minutes of this show and

(52:59):
nothing happen until the last five. Like that's not super exciting.
You know, A show was like that a lot Umbrella Academy.
I don't even know if you ever.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Watched I started to watch it years ago. But I
have not picked it back up.

Speaker 1 (53:13):
I'd show some odd characters who make odd decisions. But
it started off I was interested in the first season,
but like the thing that it would do is like
go through these adventures and then wouldn't. The best part
was really the last couple of minutes because it will
end off in the cliffhanger for me at least, and
it's like, man, now, I gotta watch the next one.
The watch the rest of the episode and sound fel

(53:35):
frustrated by everybody's decisions and things that's happening. It's like,
why are everybody so stubborn and goofy, Like it doesn't
make any sense, and then they then this big moment
happens at the end. It's like, man, now, I gotta
watch the next episode just to see what happens. But
it's frustrating, and now I don't watch it no more
because it frustrated me after a while. And that doesn't
make I don't think that should be the case with
ww now. It's different because I could easily just not

(53:56):
watch Umbrella Academy, where me not watching wrestling is a
lot harder to do, and maybe they know that and
they just tell you you like this, to stay with
it and you'll like it again, like don't worry. And
maybe that's part of their you know, thought process, but
i'd still rather not that. I still not be the case.

(54:18):
More consistency would be nice, yes, you know, it would
definitely be nice. But yeah, it's Elimination Chamber was a
doozy on many fronts, I think I can say.

Speaker 2 (54:32):
And it really did what the Royal Rumble did not,
So I would agree with that.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
Which kind of set which sets the table, like you're
supposed to set the table for WrestleMania, and I agree
with you Roller Rumble, I mean outside of maybe Jimmy
Usso and Gunther, but usually roa rumble sets the table
for like a good chunk of the card, like you
can kind of see which direction you're going. That didn't
happen this year. It didn't happen really until like last night.
Elimination Chamber.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Yeah, and I don't want to go back to too much,
but I think if you don't have the gun thor
J match at Saturday Night's main event, then I think
it stands out more for Jay's moment and stuff like that.
So I think that's part of it. Like I don't
know why they did it the way they did it,
but I don't think it did Jay any favors coming
out of the rumble with the reaction to it. And

(55:19):
now we got to wait. You know, he made his
decision what two weeks or a weeker a week and
a half after the rumble, Like okay, Like that's almost
two months of building to another match against the gal
you lost to, so they you know, that's that's been
the big angle since before yesterday, and clearly it's not

(55:41):
gonna be the big angle moving forward, but I think
it kind of it will help that angle progress as well.
Because so many people are gonna be focused on Sena,
they're gonna have more leeway. I guess with the gun
through j stuff that if it doesn't exactly hit, then
it's not going to be as scrutinized as it has
been recently. And sometimes you gotta help, You gotta put

(56:03):
something big out there to help the others like succeed,
you know, like and when I say like seeing at Cody,
I think that's going to help the Jay Gunther stuff tremendously.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
Well, let's hope, you know, all the attention and the
momentum that came from that that has come from that
does help the rest of the show and create more
energy around the show, because it doesn't need some energy
right now.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
I just need Vegas, man. I never thought it would
be like this on in a Vegas WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (56:35):
Well, we'll see. I mean again, we still got time,
but it up until this point, up until elimination Chamber,
it just wasn't a lot of energy around the product.
And I guess that's chip Las like, Yeah, I'm just
lolling y'all to sleep. That's odd. I got the plan
ready right here. Abou see that. But that doesn't mean
that people were wrong neither. You could have been doing

(56:58):
that on purpose. That doesn't mean that people also weren't
right and saying that it wasn't that great.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
And they don't have to like it and they don't
have to accept it, right, But.

Speaker 1 (57:10):
It's nice to finally kind of have that now. Yeah,
to have that energy at least after elimination chamber. We'll
see going forward if they can maintain it again. Lots
of time until WrestleMania. But that's the job right now
that they got to do, is maintain that momentum heading
into WrestleMania. But yeah, we got a lot to talk

(57:31):
about moving forward when it comes to the biggest show
of the year in Vegas, and it seems like we
finally got that. Like I said that juice going, So
anything else from Elimination Chamber that you wanted to talk
about or mention or anything like that before we wrap up.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
I guess we're not gonna get Kevin and Sammy at
WrestleMania and a gimmick match or hell on a sell
because Randy came back. So I guess we'll see Randy
Orton versus Kevin Owen's at WrestleMania. I don't know. I
guess I would have liked to see Ko and Sammy
and another like a hell of as l there, But yes,

(58:10):
we're not gonna get that. So I kind of wonder
if what Sammy's gonna do if it's not you know,
a triple thread or anything like that, if he's if
it's just gonna be Kevin and Randy, what Sammy does.
So looking forward to that, But yeah, I mean, I
still wish that was the main event, but now I understand, like, okay,

(58:31):
I couldn't possibly be the main event. After the scene
of heel turn No, but I do like that they
made at least the light stemmer, and they made the
unsanctioned part pretty cool. The ref not wearing the regular
ref shirt, but then you just knocked him out, so
you had another ref who had his regular shirt all
come out. But they covered the turn buckles. I thought
that was funny to cover the logo, But why you

(58:53):
still had the LEDs on with the w W logo on.
It was like, why didn't you just black everything? Like
they some things didn't make sense.

Speaker 1 (59:02):
I was kind of like, you know, you know me,
and unsanctioned matches never makes sense, at least from WW.
You know, the referees out there, he's counting the three
there's the whole production is exactly the same except for
their except for the fact that it's now unsanctioned. But
they tried the little touches you know, here and there.
Like you said, the referee not having a shirt. He

(59:23):
started out with the gloves on too. I love how
they did cover the turnbuckles, but you know, damn what,
they wasn't going to cover those sponsorships in the on
the matau. It would have been a funny, It would
have been a funny touch. They would have never happened, obviously,
but it would have been a funny touch for like
them to say, like they changed the mat and took
the sponsors off the mat, the sponsors, the sponsors wanted

(59:44):
nothing to do with this match.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
I thought the same exact thing. I was watching it,
like there are some things that are good here, but
they didn't go the whole.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
Right they and they didn't do that. And I understand
because those sponsors, they don't give it.

Speaker 2 (59:57):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
They're like, this is a part of your show, right
then we want them impressions.

Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Too, just for the crowded attendance, right, like people are
gonna be watching it on TV, right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
We paid good money for that spot. And yeah, yeah
it's actually sanctions, so that's not real, right, Okay, then
leave leave the logo in the.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Ring, Okay, unsanctioned match it would have been.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
It would have been a nice extra touch if they
took the sponsors off too, because like they want nothing
to do with this. Who was who was the Novercaine movie?
They don't want you want nothing to do with this
level of violence, Like.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
You can snap into a slim gemer that that's.

Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
Wants no parts of the violence. You're about to see
what you're about, what Michael Colson, what you're about to see,
it's going to be disturbing, like, and the sponsors want
no part of it. That would have been hilarious, That
would have been great, but obviously you know, they paid money,
so they like, we want them impressions, partner, we don't care.
But yeah, that's literally my other like note as far

(01:00:56):
as the show, it was nice to tru Stratus back,
but that match is mostly for the fans and candidate.
I don't know if it is Tiffany Stratton or anybody.
I don't think anybody was helping necessarily from that match,
and ideally Tiffany Straton gets the proverbial rub from Tris.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
I don't know. I don't know. She changed her character
like and shouldn't have. Now she's like the happy, go
lucky He's like, no, that's not who she was. And
just because she's a face now, like they seem to
blur the lines better, you know, under Triple Ah's creative.
You know, it's not just pure meat baby face, pure

(01:01:38):
meat heel, whatever the hell that pure meat, whatever the
hell that is. But yeah, I just I don't think
it makes Tiff look that good because there wasn't. She's
just like yay, Trish. It's like I should be like,
I'm gonna kick nye ass and Tris, you can help
me if you want. But if you want, that's the

(01:01:59):
type of thing.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
I mean, hey, maybe you should be right now.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
That sounds intriguing, that sounds interesting, but uh yeah, that's
the elimination chamber. Though it happened, and a lot happened,
I should say, and it will be an event that
would be talked about for a long time, specifically for
especially for what happened after the main events or what
was the main event. Honestly, it was the confrontation, the

(01:02:24):
meeting between Cody and the Rock and John Cena. That
dashing John Cena. He was getting cussed out on commentary
by Michael Cole as he should. Same goes for Jade
Cargo beating him. Naomi, you know, yelling like that's what
you want from the announcers, bro. It's admonishing people, yelling
at people showing emotion. Michael Cole is good at that.

(01:02:46):
But John Cena that no good.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
Turned heel and gave everybody the evil face right into
the camera.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
That face clastered everywhere today.

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
